A Feasibility Study on Using Gfrp Composites Bar in Rc Flexural Member

    Get PDF
Steel reinforcements are commonly used for Reinforced Concrete (RC) beams all around the world to take flexural tension. But, the durability of the structure is reduced due to reinforcement steel corrosion. Avoiding reinforcement corrosion and finding alternative material to take flexural tension is the contemporary research work in the field of structural engineering. In the present study, RC beams are reinforced with Glass Fibre Reinforced polymer (GFRP) composites bar at tension zone and flexural test was carried out to determine the bending moment resistance of the beam. GFRP bars were prepared in the industry with the help of pultruded U-section box formwork. GFRP bars were coated with sand using epoxy resin to increase the bond between bars and the RC beam. Three GFRP reinforced concrete beam specimens of size 700 mm × 200 mm × 200 mm were prepared. Also, same size of normal steel reinforced cement concrete beam member was prepared. After 28 days curing, three point bending test was carried out for all the four beams. Flexural capacity of beams with GFRP bars were compared with RC beam with steel bars. The results revealed that the flexural capacity of RC beams with GFRP bars is more than that of RC beam with steel bars. Also, theoretical analysis was carried out to determine the flexural strength of RC beam with steel and GFRP bars and compared with experimental results

Point-Of-Sales Systems in Food and Beverage Industry: Efficient Technology and Its User Acceptance

    Get PDF
The objective of the study was to review the factors that influence the acceptance of the points of sales (POS) technology, as the main systems used in the restaurants environment. It is critical that those POS perceived as proper use for the business growth and development. A conceptual framework is explained by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), were reviewed 28 research articles associated with the acceptance of the points of sales (POS) technology. The literature evidence found indicates the acceptance of POS systems in the F&B industry, including those factors which may affect its implementation and use. Attitude toward POS is affected by individual differences, times, training and company supports. Perceived usefulness of the POS is influenced by information quality, benefits information. The perceived ease of use of the POS is influence by enjoyment. Therefore, that strategy implementation, employee learning, ethical decisions, positive employeemanagement relationship, and personalization level are factors that support technology acceptance

Pilot Aided Transmissions Technique to Achieve Optimal Effective Capacity Over Imperfect Channel Estimation in Cognitive Radio Networks

    Get PDF
In cognitive radio networks, a secondary user (SU) can share the same frequency band with the primary user (PU) as long as the interference introduced to the later is below a predefined threshold. In this paper, the transmission performance in cognitive radio networks is studied assuming imperfect channel estimation, and taking quality of service (QoS) constraints into consideration. It is assumed that the cognitive transmitter can perform channel estimation and send the data at two different rates and power levels depending on the activity of the primary users. The existence of the primary user can be detected by channel sensing. A two-state Markov chain process is used to model the existence of the primary users. The cognitive transmission is also configured as a state transition model depending on whether the rates are higher or lower than the instantaneous rates values. This paper studies the maximum capacity of the cognitive user under the delay constraint. We use the new metric concept of effective capacity of the channel and introduce an optimization problem for rate and power allocation under interference power constraints. An numerical example illustrates the average effective capacity optimization and the impact of other system parameters.&nbsp

Agency Cost and Court Action in Bankruptcy Proceedings in a Simple Real Option Model

    Get PDF
While legally considered the residual interest, equity holders are often given a very small share of the liquidation value of a bankrupt corporation, even when liquidation value does not cover all other claims with higher priority.  Such expected residual value for equity holders can lead to changed corporate investment incentive which counteracts the well-documented sub-optimal operation for a firm in financial distress.  This paper constructs a model illustrating the agency problem in sub-optimal investment of a firm in financial distress and how court action in compensating equity restores the proper incentive.  Such court action that violates the priority rule is ex ante rational and result in higher social benefit, even though it seems expost unfair

ERP and Application Status: A Review of Vietnam’s SMEs

    Get PDF
This article was studied due to the necessity of applying ERP systems in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). By researching, this study analyzes the evident problem in applying ERP systems in SMEs in Vietnam. It presents a review of ERP systems and states the operational definition as well as the reason of the low rate of ERP application in SMEs in Vietnam. The implications will be consistent with the Vietnamese SMEs to deploy ERP into effect

Role of Intercollegiate Athletics’ Identification in Student Adjustment to College Life

    Get PDF
The study focused on the impact of intercollegiate athletic programs on students’ college adjustment. The purpose of this study was to extend existing theory on whether intercollegiate athletic programs significantly assist college students’ academic adjustment with roles of social and psychological aspects in college life. Using a sample of 320 undergraduate students, students who have higher identification with college sport teams were found to positively evaluate themselves through active interaction with other college fans, and enhance their level of academic adjustment in higher education. Additionally, team identification had a direct function to enhance academic adjustment while personal self-esteem and social adjustment played significant mediating roles between team identification and academic adjustment. Finally, this study suggests college counselors utilize college sport events for students who have faced major adjustment challenges, such as such as a lack of social relationships and academic difficulties in college life in higher education.

In this paper we introduce a new concept for Riesz Fuzzy ideal of almost lacunary Ces´aro statistical convergence of χ 3 sequence spaces strong P− convergent to zero with respect to an Orlicz function and examine some properties of the resulting sequence spaces. We also introduce and study statistical convergence of Riesz Fuzzy ideal of almost lacunary Ces´aro of χ 3 sequence spaces and also some inclusion theorems are discussed

Let G= Zn be a belian group Mod n. we shall define a new integral of the  all elements of the G=Zn ( n is a finite number , n  N , n ≥2 ). We shall study a new – results of the integrals properties in the group Zn. We gave the definitions of integrals in the Zn, and we shall gave the anew- definitions of the neat ( semi ) integrals , and the some a new results of this integrals

I (D,B)- supra pre maps via supra topological ordered spaces

    Get PDF
Sayed [19] defined a supra -open set and studied its basic properties. In this work, we introduce various forms of supra continuous (supra open, supra closed, supra homeomorphism) maps in supra topological ordered spaces by using the notions of supra -open sets and increasing (decreasing, balancing) sets. We illustrate the relationships among these maps with the help of examples. Moreover, we investigate under what conditions these maps preserve some separation axioms between supra topological ordered spaces

Mathematical Model of Reproduction System for Multivariate Dynamic Balance of Production and Consumption

    Get PDF
In recent years, more and more elements of regulated economy used in different countries have become an object of scientific investigation. In this paper, we establish theoretical knowledge about quantitative relations and regularities of economic development. We show that the mathematical model expands opportunities for economic analysis. It also improves the quality of economic decisions. Intercorporate balance is presented as an economic-mathematical model of the reproduction process. Its expanded form represents the interconnection on production, distribution, consumption and accumulation of social product. Not only sectors of international economy, but physical and cost aspects of reproduction altogether are considered. Intercorporate balances cover only the most important types of products. Making the intercorporate balance requires the concept of a ‘pure’ branch. It unites all the production, regardless of departmental belonging and types of enterprises. The transition from industries to pure branches requires special transformation of actual economic data
