Runge-Kutta and Block by Block Methods to Solve Non- Linear Volterra Integral Equation Of The Second Kind

    Get PDF
In this paper, we discussedRunge-Kutta method (R.KM) and Block-by-Block method (B by BM) for used to solve (NVIE) of the second kind with continuous kernel. Numerical examples are presented and results are compared with the analytical solution to demonstrate the validity and applicability of this methods

    ON DIRECT PRODUCT pure − 1 − 2 − 3 SUBGROUPS IN ABELIAN GROUP Gn×Gm

    Get PDF
In this paper, we shall define new subgroups which are called pure−1−2−3 in abelian groups Gn×Gm for all n,m∈N which are a family of pure subgroups. In[1],[2]H.M.A.Abdullah  gave the some general properties of pure− 1−2−3 in abelian group G, but here, we shall prove more than properties on this subgroups in ModGn×Gm, which are not valid for pure subgroups

Implicative algebras and Heyting algebras can be residuated lattices

    Get PDF
The commutative residuated lattices were first introduced by M. Ward and R.P. Dilworth as generalization of ideal lattices of rings. Complete studies on residuated lattices were developed by H. Ono, T. Kowalski, P. Jipsen and C. Tsinakis. Also, the concept of lattice implication algebra is due to Y. Xu. And Luitzen Brouwer founded the mathematical philosophy of intuitionism, which believed that a statement could only be demonstrated by direct proof. Arend Heyting, a student of Brouwer’s, formalized this thinking into his namesake algebras. In this paper, we investigate the relationship between implicative algebras, Heyting algebras and residuated lattices. In fact, we show that implicative algebras and Heyting algebras can be described as residuated lattices

METRIC EQUIVALENCE AS AN ALMOST SIMILARITY PROPERTY

    Get PDF
Various results that relate to almost similarity and other classes of operators such as isometry, normal, unitary and compact operators have been extensively discussed. It has been shown that if operators S and T are unitarily equivalent, then S is almost similar to T. Similarly, it has been shown that if operators A and B are such that A is almost similar to B and if A is Hermitian, then A and B are said to be unitarily equivalent. Metric equivalence property which is a new relation in operator theory has drawn much attention from mathematicians in the recent past. Two operators S and T are unitarily equivalent if they are metrically equivalent projections. It has been shown that if operators S and T are unitarily equivalent, then S is metrically equivalent to T. However, there is no literature that has been shown for the conditions under which metric equivalence and almost similarity coincide. In this paper we will therefore strive to establish the equivalence relation between metric equivalence property and almost similarity relation. To achieve this, properties of invertible operators, normal operators, similar operators, unitarily operators as well as projection and self-adjoint operators will be employed

The Impact of Strategic Leadership Program as ODI on the Usage Accounting Information System and Financial Performance

    Get PDF
This study aimed to examinethe impact of Strategic Leadership Program (SLP) as organization development interventions (ODI) on the Usage Accounting Information System and Financial Performance.Strategic Leadership Program (SLP) designed as intervention programs, implemented to enhance Strategic Leadership Mindset (SLM) in Optics Groups, one of the market leader of eyeglasses industry in Indonesia. In this research the programs consist of four themes to enhance the strategic leadership index. The themes includes: (1) The roles of leadership;  (2) Value Chain; (3) Human Capital and (4) Four Types of Cultures. The data analyzed and confirm that the SLP as ODI has succeeded to bring the improvement of SLM of the leaders which created an impacton the level of accounting information system usage and financial performance. Additionally, the monthly survey show concomitand finding on employee satisfaction and competitive advantage indexthat the intervention did not only solve the financial problems but also improve the non-financial performance because of the effect of accounting information system usage.

Thick Indifference Curves, Marketing and Behavioral Economics

    Get PDF
In this paper the differences between two schools of thought, the traditional school and the behavioral economics school, are discussed. The relatively new behavioral economics school is a blend of psychology and economics. The conventional assumptions concerning consumer preferences are explicated and elaborated upon. The assumptions include reflexivity, completeness, transitivity and continuity. Secondary assumptions, such as local nonsatiation and strict convexity, regarding preferences are also explained. Thick indifference curves in a two good world are explained and demonstrated to encompass rational behavior even though they do not reflect a well defined utility function. If a consumer has preferences that exhibit thick indifference curves behavioral economists can be mistaken in thinking that consumer behavior is irrational. The role that marketing plays in forming thick indifference curves is also established

Densifications of the Distribution of Treatment Effect with Duration Outcomes

    No full text
The most critical factor in econometric estimations is parameter identification. Identification in econometric models formalizes prior assumptions and the data to information about a parameter of interest. However, there are two important features characterize duration data. The first one is that the data may be censored, and the second feature of duration data is that exogenous determinants of the event times characterizing the data may change during the event spell. The two characteristics lead some famous identification problems for the duration models. Following the recent literature in partial identification, we show the conditions when the duration models could be identified and provide several suggestions for the confidence bounds of partial identifications.

Thermal analysis of some novel Chalcones

    Get PDF
Decomposition characteristics of some newly synthesized chalcones have been studied by thermo gravimetric and differential scanning calorimetric analysis. From thermo grams, some kinetics parameters of decomposition were also evaluated. It is observed that thermal stability and decomposition kinetics depends on nature and position of substituent present in these compounds.

THE ABC OF COUNTERFEITING VIS-À-VIS LUXURY BRAND MARKET

    Get PDF
Everything that can be produced can be counterfeited right from a soap to something of paramount value like an airplane yet the overarching effects of counterfeits in each industry is dismissed away by corporates. This paper attempts to shed light on the counterfeit industry, elucidate the concept of counterfeits, its presence in ever industry, its overarching effects and the need to address the problem on immediate basis. Herein the steps that a corporate can take to combat the problem at its end have also been duly specified. The paper has specifically gone beyond the general addressal of the menace to specifically address the problem in the luxury fashion industry wherein the effect might not be fatal yet is paramount in nature

Protection of Telecommunication Systems in Electric Power Facilities from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP). Part 2.

    Get PDF
A communication system installed at an electric power facility performs the critical role in data acquisition and transmission, remote measuring and control, and communications. At the same time, it is most sensitive and the least protected from the high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) amongst the wide variety of other critical electric and electronic systems used at the power facilities. Such a situation should not be considered as normal; instead it requires the appropriate measures to be taken. This article is an extension to the discussion of this problem started in the previous article [1]. It describes the common technology and element basis used for protection of communication system equipment
