Research on the Employability of Local College Students in Macau
Get PDFAccording to the literatures, the factors related to employability of college students were sorted out and further classified. The modified Delphi method was then used to determine the indicators that mainly affected the employability of local college students in Macau. Under the analytic hierarchy process and the weights of indicators given by the experts, the ranking weights of indicators were obtained through group decision-making method. Among the primary indicators, personal quality is significantly more important than skills and knowledgeability. In terms of knowledgeability, cross-disciplinary knowledge is more important than domain-specific knowledge; In terms of skills, teamwork and problem-solving ability are more important; In terms of personal qualities, work attitude and emotion management ability are the most important. Among the total ranking of secondary indicators, the more important indicators are work attitude, emotion management ability, teamwork, problem-solving ability and cross-disciplinary knowledge. Since these abilities are what local college students in Macau easily lack, they are reflected upon the weights of the employability indicators. It is advised that the local college students in Macau raise their crisis awareness, change their existing mindset and inertial thinking, and cultivate their cross-disciplinary talents to enhance their workplace competencies
Competitiveness of Turkey’s Automotive Industry
Get PDFThis paper attempts to answer the question whether Turkey’s Automotive Industry, which was, in 2016, 14th largest automotive industry in the world, and the 5th in Europe, is competitive or not. To measure the competitiveness of the industry, Revealed Comparative Advantage index (RCA) has been benefited. What differs this study from the previous ones are the facts that: first, the time span that the study which covers a larger period than most of other studies benefiting RCA index, namely, the time coverage of the study is from 2001 to 2016, thus the results will also account for the RCA values of 2001 and 2008, which are the economic crisis years. Second, in addition to having a large time coverage, to the best of the author’s knowledge, this study’s results provides the most up-to-date RCA values for the industry
Introduceing Technology to Auditing Services in Libyan Banks
Get PDFThis study aims mainly at identifying to what extent introduction and use of electronic banking in improving the auditing services in Libya by means of using technology in auditing, and to identifying to what extent adopting technology may affect promotion of auditing services, and instigate the competition between Libya's electronic banks.As such the study results showed that there is a relationship of a statistical significance between introduction, and the positive effect, of technology in auditing services in Libyan banks, that is, using technology in auditing services leads to improve the auditing effectiveness through abidance by laws and policies set beforehand
The Effect of Budget Participation on Budgetary Slack with Information Asymmetry and Organizational Commitment as a Moderating Variable
Get PDFThis study examines the effect of budget participation on budgetary slack using information asymmetry and organizational commitment as a moderating variable. Hypotheses proposed to this study are budget participation will have a positive effect on budgetary slack, the information asymmetry will have a positive effect on the relationship of budget participation and budgetary slack, organizational commitment will have the negative effect on the relationship of budget participation and budgetary slack. This research is located in Cilacap Regency. Purposive sampling is used to take the samples. The method used in this research is survey method. Data collection method that is used questionnaires method. Data analysis methods that are used linear regression analysis and regression analysis moderation with an absolute difference method. These results shows that budgetary participation has a positive effect on budgetary slack, and the information asymmetry strengthens the effect of budget participation to budgetary slack, additionally, the results show that organizational commitment debilitation the effect of budgetary participation to budgetary slack
Innovative Teaching Methods and Entrepreneurship Education: A Review of Literature
Get PDFThe objective of this paper is to synthesise through the review of literature the various innovative teaching methods and how they have influenced the practice of entrepreneurship education. The various methods identified are case studies, business plan creation, problem-solving, simulation and games, team based or group discussions, guest speaker, seminars, individual and group projects, role play and lectures with latter being teacher centred while all the former are student centred. It was however, established that no one method can be used solely on its own, hence, the need for collective adoption under a given circumstance. Practically, all trainers, instructors and educators in the entrepreneurship field need to focus both on the design and implementation of entrepreneurship teaching and course programs based on the various aspects in terms of the teaching model(s) being adopted from the perspectives of providing answers to the questions of the why (purposes of the learning), what (contents), how (methods and pedagogies), for whom (audiences, participants), and for which outcomes (assessment) (Fayolle and Gailly, 2008).There are no enough models to conceptually drive the curriculum design and teaching methods of entrepreneurship education (Slattery and Danaher, 2015). The limitation of this study is that not all research work in the area of teaching methods and entrepreneurship education have been reviewed, due to language barriers, cost and time constraints. More research efforts are required to clarify which of the students benefit most from active learning and how to design activities to motivate and increase the understanding level of the students over time and determination of the most relevant ‘teaching model’ configuration in entrepreneurship
THE ECONOMIC AND TRADE RELATIONS BETWEEN MOROCCO AND MEXICO: ASSESSMENT AND FUTURE PROSPECTS
Get PDFThe current globalization forces several countries to establish international economic relations and take advantage of the competitive advantages that this generates.The emerging economies try to consolidate their relationships to face the economic powers. The objective of this article is to analyze the composition of international trade that takes place between Mexico and Morocco to identify the existing opportunities for both countries. The results suggest that the main opportunities to strengthen trade are found in the products of the agri-food sector, which can also contribute to reducing the independence of the United States for Mexico and of Europe for Morocco.

A generalization of Pythagorean triples for desirable quadrilaterals
Get PDFWe explore the generalization of famous Pythagorean triples (a, b, c) for triangles to Pythagorean quadruples (a, b, c, d) for desirable quadrilaterals. Using number theory and geometrical techniques including Diophantine equations and Ptolemy’s Theorem, we show that there are infinite number of such quadrilaterals with specific relations between their sides and diagonals. We conclude our paper with an open question for further investigation
