Tor decomposition of bup* (BZ/p)^n
We decompose bup* (BZ/p)^n, the connective unitary K- theory with p-adic coefficients of the n-fold smash product of the classifying space for the cyclic group of prime order p, as a direct sum of some graded groups, which include the graded groups bup* (BZ/p) and Tor^1_{\Z_p[v]}(bu_{p^*}(B\Z/p), bu_{p^*}(B\Z/p))[-1]. We deal with the results in [Theorem 3.8]{MK17} together with the Kunneth sequence for bu_{p^*}(B\Z/p)^n, to explain that there is no extension problem for this Kunneth sequence, for any finite number n not just for n=2 and therefore the middle term of this sequence is a direct sum of the left and the right side
On The Quotient Function of Entire Function Represented By Dirichlet Series of Two Complex Variables
The object of this paper is study a few result involving the maximum term and the rank of the maximum term of entire function represented by Dirichlet series
Lyapunov-type inequalities for higher order difference equations with anti-periodic boundary conditions
In this paper, some new Lyapunov-type inequalities for higher order difference equations with anti-periodic boundary conditions are established. The obtained results are used to obtain the lower bounds for the eigenvalues of corresponding equations
Solving Machine Scheduling Problem under Fuzzy Processing Time using the Simulated Annealing Method
In this paper, we describe the problem of sequencing a set of n jobs on single machine was considered to minimize multiple objectives function (MOF). The objective is to find the approximate solutions for scheduling n independent jobs to minimize the objective function consists from a sum of weighted number of early jobs and the weighted number of tardy jobs with fuzzy processing time. This problem is denoted by: (1/ / ). To resolve it we proposed the Average High Ranking (AHR) method to obtain a processing time generated from fuzzy processing time, calculate the costs and reach to total penalty cost. Since our problem is Strongly NP-hard in normal form, we used Simulated Annealing. It solved the problem with up to 12000 jobs in 30 seconds
Standby Attorney
The Institute of Standby Attorneys is foreseen for the first time in Kosovo by the Criminal Procedure Code. It has been installed in the tendency to ensure the enactment of some procedural actions and the proceeding of the conduct of criminal proceedings in cases when the defendant renounces his right to defense in cases of mandatory defense. Within this article we will deal with the notion of the standby attorney, the authority and conditions for appointing the standby attorney, the importance and rights and obligations of the standby attorney, the common and distinctive issues of the standby attorney with other defense attorneys, and finally to present and elaborate the data regarding the appointment of standby attorney ex officio in Kosovo for the period January 2016 - June 2018. During the preparation of this article I used the legal, comparative, analytical and statistical method
Composite Bosons in Silicon Nanosandwiches
The negative-U impurity stripes confining the edge channels of semiconductor quantum wells are shown to allow the effective cooling inside in the process of the spin-dependent transport, with the reduction of the electron-electron interaction. The aforesaid promotes also the creation of composite bosons and fermions by the capture of single magnetic flux quanta on the edge channels under the conditions of low sheet density of carriers, thus opening new opportunities for the registration of the quantum kinetic phenomena in weak magnetic fields at high temperatures up to the room temperature. As a certain version noted above we present the first findings of the high temperature de Haas-van Alphen, 300K, quantum Hall, 77K, effects as well as quantum conductance staircase in the silicon sandwich structure that represents the ultra-narrow, 2 nm, p-type quantum well (Si-QW) confined by the delta barriers heavily doped with boron on the n-type Si (100) surface
A New Hand Based Biometric Modality & An Automated Authentication System
With increased adoption of smartphones, security has become important like never before. Smartphones store confidential information and carry out sensitive financial transactions. Biometric sensors such as fingerprint scanners are built in to smartphones to cater to security concerns. However, due to limited size of smartphone, miniaturised sensors are used to capture the biometric data from the user. Other hand based biometric modalities like hand veins and finger veins need specialised thermal/IR sensors which add to the overall cost of the system. In this paper, we introduce a new hand based biometric modality called Fistprint. Fistprints can be captured using digital camera available in any smartphone. In this work, our contributions are: i) we propose a new non-touch and non-invasive hand based biometric modality called fistprint. Fistprint contains many distinctive elements such as fist shape, fist size, fingers shape and size, knuckles, finger nails, palm crease/wrinkle lines etc. ii) Prepare fistprint DB for the first time. We collected fistprint information of twenty individuals - both males and females aged from 23 years to 45 years of age. Four images of each hand fist (total 160 images) were taken for this purpose. iii) Propose Fistprint Automatic Authentication SysTem (FAAST). iv) Implement FAAST system on Samsung Galaxy smartphone running Android and server side on a windows machine and validate the effectiveness of the proposed modality.
The experimental results show the effectiveness of fistprint as a biometric with GAR of 97.5 % at 1.0% FAR
A Model for Pricing Insurance Using Options
Traditional Expected Value and Bayesian Methods of pricing insurance products are not robust both under minimal data and frequent portfolio adjustments. Deriving a partial di_erential equation for the price of a an insurance put, parallel is struck with the reverse Black Scholes partial di_erential equation for pricing call options. With appropriate parameter translation of the Black Scholes model, a Pure Premium valuation function that is an improvement over the traditional methods of pricing insurance products results. Its robustness is illustrated with the pricing of a third party insurance product for private cars
Influence of Type of Product on Brand and Cause Images in a Cause-Related Marketing Campaign: Evidence from Pakistan
Luxury brands and non-profit organizations (NPOs) are increasingly involved in cause-related marketing (CRM) programs. This research aims to explain how product’s nature (hedonic vs. utilitarian) may influence consumer’s decisions to purchase cause-related products. Prior and post attitude of brands analyze with repeated measure ANOVA. The results show that brand attitude increased both in case of ahedonic and utilitarian partnership. However, partnering with a luxury brand ismore efficient to raise theimage of thebrand ascompared to apartnership with non-luxury brands. In general, these results provide clear insights to marketing managers for planning and positioning of their CRM campaigns
Enhancing Exports through Managing Logistics Performance: Evidence From Middle East and African Countries
Logistics activities and its cost affect daily businesses operations and eventually the country’s economy. If countries are able to manage logistics performance efficiently it will be able to compete better internationally. The key objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between the logistics performance index and its components and exports focusing on Middle East and African countries using a regression model. Results of this study indicated that the logistics performance index positively enhance countries exports. In addition, logistics performance index components namely; customs, infrastructure, international shipments and timeliness have a significant impact individually, except for logistics quality, competence, tracking and tracing. The paper aims at supporting the economic policy maker to improve the economic decision in the field of logistics
