Using Quality Improvement Process to Enhance Health Staff Confidence and Competence in Health Information System Tasks in the Ejisu Juaben Municipal Health Directorate, Ghana
Routine Health Information is faced with huge challenges which reduce its decision making and planning yields. The objective of the study was 1) to undertake competency gap analysis of health staff’s performance in routine health information tasks, 2) implement quality improvement process training module, 3) to measure the improvement in the competency level of health staff in performing RHIS tasks after application of Quality Improvement Process principles. A quasi-experimental, uncontrolled before and after study was conducted in 18 health facilities in the Ejisu Juaben Municipal Health Directorate, Ghana. The study involved assessment of competency level and training of 141 staff using Data Quality Improvement Process (DQIP) training module over a twelve-month period. RHIS task competence was measured by a pencil and paper test that measured the ability of respondents to perform calculations, and to interpret and use RHIS results, based on the same indicators as used dimension of confidence level. The study found huge competency gaps among staff amidst high confidence in undertaking RHIS tasks while their performance of these tasks scored objectively, yielded low average scores of improvements in competency gaps; data analysis (-36.9%: +3.6%), data interpretation (-42.2%: +9.8%) and use of data (-44.6%: +2.6%) in the baseline and endline evaluations respectively. The study concludes that Quality Improvement Process (QIP) centred training drives the effectiveness of staff competency in performing RHIS tasks, but not necessarily their confidence level
Influence of rotation and initial stress on Propagation of Rayleigh waves in fiber-reinforced solidanisotropic magneto-thermo-viscoelastic media.
This paper is concerned with giving a mathematical model on the propagation of Rayleigh waves in a homogeneous magneto-thermo-viscoelastic,pre-stressed elastic half – space subjected to theinitial stress and rotation. The dispersion equation has been derived for a half-space, when both media are considered as pre-stressed and the effect of rotation and initial stressshown in earlier investigators.Numerical results have been obtained in the physical domain. Numerical simulated results are depicted graphically to show the effect of rotation and magnetic field and initial stressonRayleigh wave velocity. Comparison was made with the results obtained in the presence and absence of the rotation , initial stressand magnetic field. The study shows that there is a variational effect of magneto-elasticityand rotation, initial stress on the Rayleigh wave velocity
On the globally coupled lattice system (GCM) associated with the Belusov-Zhabotinskii reaction (p,q)-points on the coupling constant ε ∈ (0,1]
This paper focuses on the Global Coupling System (GCM) associated with the Belusov-Zhabotinskii reaction:
where m is discrete time index, n is lattice side index with system size L, ε ∈ (0,1] is coupling constant and fn is a continuous selfmap on [0,1] for every n ∈ {1,2,··· ,L}.We prove that the system is distributionally (p,q)-chaotic on the non-zero coupling constant ε ∈ (0,1), and its main metric is not less than
Quantile Function for Rayleigh and Scaled Half Logistic: Application in Missing Data
In this research paper quantile Functions for Scaled half logistic and Rayleigh distributions has been constructed. Data generated through the quantile Functions and then different limits for the full and missing data set have been developed with scale parameter. A number of such mean control limits could be constructed through purposed method but for analysis purpose few of them have discussed. The missing data limits broadened than the full data in each case, which was expected to be. The average run length (ARL) was also calculated for different sample sizes (50,100,150). The general decreasing behavior of ARL according to increasing shifts was observed that shows a worthy sign, for two distributions, as the probability of detecting an out of control signal increased due to decrease in ARL
The GROWTH OF SHARIA BANKING IN ASIA
In the early days of the development of sharia banking between the period 1980-1990, the sharia banking industry focused only on the Middle East and Southeast Asia, or on countries that have a majority Muslim population. Since then sharia banking has grown very rapidly beyond 75 countries in the world. Sharia banking is believed to be the solution to the problems faced by banks today, from the only "basic banking" in the 1990s, the sharia banking industry developed wings to broader segments such as sukuk (sharia bonds), management assets, and takaful sharia insurance ) The growth of sharia banking assets from USD 150 billion in the 1990 period became USD 1.9 Trillion at the end of 2013, and was predicted in 2020 to be USD 6.5 Trillion. At present, sharia banking dominates 80.4% in "sharia financial assets". Sharia banking is currently an alternative choice for conventional banking, not only growing in Muslim countries but also in other countries
On the approximation of the Wallis ratio
In this review article, we study the recent investigations and developments on the Wallis ratio. Some best constants for the approximation of the Wallis ratio are introduced. Some double inequalities for bounding the Wallis ratio are also introduced
Squaring the circle and number π
This paper presents an attempt to finally solve the problem of constructing the squares of the same surface of the given circle, in a simple way: by determining the exact value of the number π. The value of this constant thus far implies the following: in the Universe there is no square of the same surface as the given circle!? It's pointless. The number π is not irrational, so it is not transcendental number either.

The Impact of Talent management on Employee retention in Somali
In the current business scenario, talent management is known as a popular retention strategy for talented employees. talent management is relatively a new concept in Somali both in public and private sectors, as many organizations have not yet embrace the content of talent management and face critical challenges in retaining talented employees. therefore, after an extensive literature review, this paper will discuss the impact of talent management and its influential factors to retain talented employees in Somali banking sector. The aim of this study is to review the effectiveness of talent management in the retention of employees in Somali banking sector and to establish a gap for further researc
Impact of International Trade on the Economic Growth in Ghana
The aim of this research is to undertake a critical evaluation of the impact of international trade on the economic growth in Ghana. For this purpose, a secondary data based research is conducted in this paper wherein a comprehensive range of empirical research papers of country and trade reports are examined to gather the data. The findings thus obtainedhave been analysed with the help of thematic analysis, wherein two key macro-economic indicators associated to international trade, namely Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and exports are analysed in the context of their impact on the economy of Ghana. The findings gathered from the analysis revealed that two important macro-economic indicators for international trade directly influence the GDP of an economy and the overall growth of the country
WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN INDONESIA
As an entrepreneur, male-dominated industry also plays a role in shaping women entrepreneurs’ understanding of glass ceiling. Respondent 08’s business was in technology and she sees that men are less likely to take her seriously. Owning a business in the coffee industry, where it is often perceived as a masculine hobby, Respondent 04 entrepreneur experienced different types of barriers compared to her man counterparts. She said that building trust as a woman business owner in a male dominated industry is harder. Also, she also finds dealing with many stakeholders, such as farmers or merchants who is more likely to be men more difficult, therefore she sees these barriers as her glass ceiling in expanding her business. After analysing the data from the interviews, glass ceiling does have an impact on women entrepreneur, specifically on how they carry themselves and how they manage their business. Their glass ceiling exposure is proven to have affected how they see themselves, as woman and entrepreneur, how they create policies and make decision for their business
