Ⅰ．緒言
　スキーモーグル種目では，規則的に配置され
たコブがある全長235±35mで平均斜度28±4°
の急斜面を高速で，かつ，安定して滑走するこ
とが求められる．コブ斜面におけるスキー動作
を運動学的な観点から分析した研究は少ない．
その中でも例えば，コブの吸収動作に着目した
もの（池上ら，1985）や，モーグルのターン動
作に着目し，習熟レベルの異なる2名の動作を
比較したもの（佐々木と結城，2003）がある．
スキーモーグルでは，急斜面において，連続す
るコブから受ける衝撃を吸収しつつ，同時に，
できるだけ速度を減速させないように滑走する
という，極めて高度なターン技術を要する．全
長200mを越すコース全体において，このター
ン動作を維持することが，優秀な成績を得るた
めに必須と考えられる． 
　スキーにおける高速度ビデオ映像を用いた研
究はいくつかみられる．堀島（2019）は，2019年
に行われた2019FISフリースタイルスキーワー
ルドカップ秋田たざわ湖大会に出場した男子選
手14名の，ターン動作中の膝関節屈曲伸展の角
度変動を明らかにした．その中で膝関節最大伸
展を0°とした場合，1ターンの動作中には20－
120°の範囲内で屈曲伸展していることがわかっ
ている．中里ら（2016）はカービングスキーに
よる中回りターンの3次元動作分析を行った．
競技者の重心速度，エッジング角度，身体の内
傾角などを求め，上級者と中級者を比較してい
る．その中でも，身体の内傾角に違いがあるこ
とがわかり，上級者は下腿部から内傾してい
るのに対して，中級者は頭と体幹をターンの内
側に傾けることで内傾動作を行っていることを
示唆した．このように高速度ビデオ映像を用い
た動作分析により，ターン動作の詳細について
明らかにされてきた．しかしながら，これらの
研究において分析された動作は1ターンにとど
まっている．堀島（2019）・中里ら（2016）のよ
うな詳細なターン動作の分析をスキーのコース
全体を通して行うことで，より高いパフォーマ
ンスを獲得するための知見を得られると考えら
れる．
　近年，慣性センサー（Inertial Measurement Unit, 
IMU）を用いた動作分析手法が発展してきてい
る（近藤ら，2013；廣瀬ら，2011）．慣性セン
サーは，センサー内に，3軸加速度，3軸ジャイ
ロ，3軸地磁気のセンサーを内蔵している．そ
れらの計測値を使用して，絶対座標系に対する
センサーの姿勢角，同期されたセンサー同士の

慣性センサーを用いた動作分析の可能性の検討
相対的な姿勢角などを算出することが可能であ
る．さらに，本研究で用いるのはデータロガー
形式慣性センサー（Vicon Blue Trident）であり
データ取得の際に場所，距離の制約を受けな
い．つまり，従来の高速度ビデオ分析法に比べ
て，複数ターン，さらにはコース全体を通して
のデータ取得が可能になると考えられる．
　一方で慣性センサーでの動作分析には課題が
散見される．例えば，小西ら（2012）は慣性セ
ンサーと光学式動作計測装置で計測された大腿
角度を比較する研究を行った．多数の反射マー
カーを利用したPCT法（Point Cluster Technique）
で算出された大腿角度を真値とし，慣性セン
サーで計測された大腿角度と，反射マーカー2
点を利用した2M法（2Marker法）で算出され
た大腿角度の比較を行った．その結果，慣性セ
ンサーで計測された大腿角度はすべての動作に
ついて極端に推定結果が悪くなることはなかっ
たが，2M法による推定は動作によって推定精
度に差があることを報告している．しかしなが
ら，国立スポーツ科学センター（JISS）が発行
している『コーチングのためのバイオメカニク
ス関連機器の活用ガイドライン』によると，慣
性センサーについて「ランニングや歩行などの2
次元動作における座標値の精度は十分検証され
ているものの，投球時の肩関節の座標値の推定
など，3次元動作における位置の推定精度は明
らかになっていない」とされている．以上のよ
うに，慣性センサーの動作分析への応用は様々
な報告がなされているため，まずは，本研究で
使用するデータロガー形式の慣性センサーから
得られるデータと，従来の高速度ビデオ撮影法
から得られる身体情報のデータを比較し，妥当
性を検証する必要があると考えられる．
　そこで本研究では，慣性センサーを身体に貼
付した状態でスキーウエアを着用した被験者
に，モーグルのターン動作中の下肢関節の動作
を行わせ，大腿部のセンサーと下腿部のセン
サーの姿勢角から膝関節角度を求めた．同時に
従来のように高速度ビデオで動作を撮影し，堀
島（2019）と同様の方法で膝関節角度を求めた．
そして上記2つの膝関節角度を比較し，どの程
度一致するかを検証することを目的とした．2
つの膝関節角度が一致することが明らかとなれ
ば，スキーモーグル動作のデータを，全長200m
を超えるコースの全区間で取得することが可能
となると考えられる．
2 ．方法
2.1　被験者
被験者は，モーグル競技，基礎スキーを専門
とする女子選手1名（身長153cm，体重48kg，年
齢26歳，競技歴23年）を対象とした．また，被
験者はモーグル競技において全日本ジュニアオ
リンピック選手権大会，国民体育大会で優勝，
基礎スキーにおいて全日本スキー技術選手権
大会決勝進出，不整地小回りの種目別1位の経
験を有し，スキー動作を習熟している者であっ
た．
2.2　実験試技
被験者はスキーウエア，スキーブーツを着用
し，ブーツはスキーに固定した．
図1に分析試技1～3を示す．
試技 1： 台上に水平に立った状態から，下肢の
屈曲伸展動作を2回行った．
試技 2： 試技1と180°反対の方角を向いて台上
に立った状態から，ターン動作を想定
して左右への倒れ込みと下肢の屈曲
伸展を同時に行う動作を左右各2回ず
つ行った．
試技 3： 試技2と同じ方角を向いて，図1のよう
にスキーのトップを地面につけるこ
とでスキーに前下がりの傾斜をつけ，
スキー場での動作を想定して試技2と
同様の動作を左右各2回ずつ行った．

2.3　データ収集・データ処理
被験者には，コンプレッションウエアの上
から右脚の下腿および大腿へ慣性センサー
（BLUE TRIDENT，Vicon社）を貼付し（図2），
その上にスキーウエアおよびスキーブーツ，ス
キー板を着用させた．図3に慣性センサーの座
標系を示す．慣性センサー貼付方法は，セン
サー座標系のX軸を，身体表面上において大腿
は膝関節中心から股関節中心へ向かう方向，下
腿は足関節中心から膝関節中心へ向かう方向
に一致させた．身体へ貼付した2個の慣性セン
サーと1個の同期用慣性センサーを用いて3軸
の加速度（990Hz）・角速度（990Hz）・姿勢角
（100Hz）を収集した．
実験試技は2台のデジタルビデオカメラ
（FDR-AX45A，SONY社）を用いて30Hzで撮
影した．2台のカメラのビデオ映像内にLEDラ
ンプを写し込み，電気的に同期した．撮影し

たビデオ映像をPCに取り込み，動作解析ソフ
ト（Frame-DIAS 6，Q’sfix社）を用いて，試技
中の身体分析点3点（右股関節，右膝関節，右
足関節）をデジタイズした．デジタイズによっ
て取得した座標値から3次元DLT法によって実
座標値を得た．算出した3次元座標値は，4次の
Butterworth low-pass filterを用いて4Hzで平滑化
した．
なお，実験試技を行う前に慣性センサーに衝
撃を与え，その瞬間をビデオ映像に写し込ん
だ．ビデオ映像の衝撃を与えた時刻と慣性セン
サーの3軸加速度の合成値が100m/s2を超えた時
刻でビデオ映像と慣性センサーを同期した．
2.4　分析方法・分析項目
本研究は，前述の通りビデオ映像と慣性セン
サーの2つの異なる算出手法による関節角度の
比較を行うことが目的である．
ビデオ映像からは，得られた身体3点の3次元
座標値より，右膝関節角度を右膝関節と右股関
節を結ぶ線分および右膝関節と右足関節を結ぶ
線分がなす角度として算出した．
慣性センサーからは，得られた姿勢角値よ
り，右膝関節角度を，大腿に貼付した慣性セン
サーのX軸に正の単位ベクトルと下腿に貼付し
た慣性センサーのX軸に負の単位ベクトルがな
す角度とし算出した．本研究で用いた慣性セン
サーでは，計測された姿勢角値がクォータニオ
ン（四元数）によって表されている．矢田部
（2007）をもとに，慣性センサーの静止座標系に
おけるX軸の単位ベクトル（ex，ey，ez）は式
（1），（2），（3）の式を用いて算出を行なった．

3 ．結果
図4に試技1～3のビデオ映像（digitize）およ
び慣性センサー（IMU）によって算出した膝関
節角度の結果を示した．
試技1において，伸展位での膝関節角度は
IMUとdigitizeにおいてよく一致していた．一
方で動作中は IMUの方がdigitizeと比較して屈
曲位で計測されるという違いがみられた．
試技2，3において，動作開始，終了時の膝関節
伸展角度は IMUの方がdigitizeと比較して伸展
位で計測されるという違いがみられた．一方で
動作中の膝関節屈曲角度変化は IMUとdigitize
においておおよそ一致しているが，IMUの方が
digitizeと比較してやや屈曲位に計測された．
すべての試技を通して IMUとdigitizeは類似
した波形を示していた．また，すべて試技を通
して，IMUはdigitizeと比較して角度変化が大き
かった．
4 ．考察
本研究の目的は，慣性センサーで算出される
膝関節角度とビデオ分析で算出される膝関節角
度がどの程度一致するかを明らかにすることが
目的であった．
すべての試技を通して，慣性センサーとビデ
オ分析から得られる膝関節角度変化は類似した
波形を示していた．特に，下肢の屈曲伸展のみ
の動作（試技1）を行った際の伸展角度はほぼ
誤差がないと考えられる．一方で，膝関節を屈
曲位に変化させた場合には慣性センサーとビデ
オ分析に違いがみられた．これは慣性センサー
を身体に貼付する際の位置や向きが影響してい
ると考えられる．コンプレッションウエアを着
用した被験者の大腿部，下腿部に直接慣性セン
サーを貼付しているため，膝関節を屈曲した際
の筋肉や衣服の動きを反映する可能性がある．
今回は図2のようにそれぞれのセグメントのや
や前面にセンサーを貼付したため，大腿四頭筋
等の筋収縮およびコンプレッションウエアの動
きによって，慣性センサーはビデオ分析と比較
して，屈曲角度が大きく計測されたと考えられ
る．より精度よく計測するために，筋肉の収縮

ンサーを貼付することを検討する必要があると
考えられる．
また，スキーモーグルのターン動作は2次元
的な屈曲伸展だけでなく下肢を左右に倒すよう
な3次元的な動作であることから，試技2，3の
動作についても検証する必要がある．試技2，3
は試技1と比較してよりスキーのターン動作に
近い動作であり，常に屈曲位で角度変化をして
いる．慣性センサーはビデオ分析と比較して，
より屈曲位に計測されているものの，試技1と
比較するとその差は小さいことがわかる（図4）．
一方で，本研究ではここまでビデオ分析で求
めた関節角度を基準として扱ってきた，しか
しながら，真値と仮定してPCT法に比べ2M法
で得られた値に差異が認められた．（小西ら，
2012）このように，関節中心と思われる3点の
ビデオ・デジタイズから得られた関節角度が真
の値である保証はない．
以上のことから，慣性センサーによる膝関節
角度の評価は，関節角度を従来のビデオ分析と
同じ角度値として求めることは難しいが，ス
キーモーグルのターン動作中の関節角度の変化
パターンを捉えることが十分にできる可能性が
示唆された．留意点としては，センサー貼付位
置や向きを一定にすることがあげられる．さら
に，JISS（2022）では，慣性センサーを用いた
動作分析の留意点として，動作の計測時間が長
くなる場合，経過時間に伴って徐々に値が真値
から外れていくドリフト誤差をあげている．本
研究の計測時間はひと試技あたり20秒程度で
あり，すべての試技においてドリフト誤差は確
認されなかった．スキーモーグル競技の競技時
間もおよそ20秒であることからも，全長235±
35mのコース全体でデータを取得できる可能性
があると考えられる．
5 ．まとめ
本研究の目的は慣性センサーで算出される膝
関節角度とビデオ分析で算出される膝関節角度
がどの程度一致するかを明らかにすることが目
的であった．
結果として以下の可能性が示唆された．
①　慣性センサーによる膝関節角度の評価は，
ターン動作中の関節角度の変化パターンを
捉える可能性があること．
②　膝関節角度を従来のビデオ分析と同じ角度
値として求めることは難しいこと．
③　スキーモーグル競技を想定した場合，計測
時間は20秒程度であればドリフト誤差の影
響はないこと．
④　慣性センサーを身体に貼付する際に，筋肉
や衣服の影響が少ない箇所にする必要があ
ること．

Multireference configuration interaction calculation 
incorporating core-electron effects  
for positronium-rubidium atom complex
Abstract
Multireference singly and doubly excited configuration interaction (MRSDCI) calculations 
considering excitations from core-electrons 4s24p6 for positronium-rubidium atom complex 
(PsRb) are performed, and the positronium (Ps) binding energy of PsRb is presented. The energy 
contributions due to many-body and higher angular momentum effects were estimated using 
extrapolation techniques and added to the MRSDCI energy to obtain the final energy. The resulting 
Ps binding energy is 0.043 eV.
1. INTRODUCTION
Our previous multireference singly and doubly excited configuration interaction (MRSDCI) study 
has revealed the stability of positronium-rubidium atom complex (PsRb). 1 The positronium (Ps) 
binding energy obtained is 0.093 eV. The Ps binding energy (EB) is calculated as 
EB = EPs + ERb – EPsRb , (1)
where EPs, ERb, and EPsRb are the energies of Ps, Rb, and PsRb, respectively. In our MRSDCI study, 
EPsRb was the total energy given from the MRSDCI calculation dealing only with the valence shell 
5s21s+
1. The subscript ‘+’ means a positronic orbital. ERb was the Hartree-Fock energy of Rb.
The Ps binding energy is also calculated as 
EB = EEA + EPI + EPs , (2)
where EEA and EPI are the electron affinity of Rb and the positron ionization energy of PsRb, 
Saito Shiro L.

respectively. Since the experimental value for the electron affinity of Rb exists, it is possible to 
analyze accuracy of the Ps binding energy using Eq. (2). To this end, the electron affinity of Rb 
was calculated. Rb– was calculated using the singly and doubly excited configuration interaction 
(SDCI) method dealing only with the valence shell 5s2. The electron affinity of Rb obtained from 
this calculation is 0.475 eV, which is 0.011 eV less than the experimental value of 0.485916 eV 2. 
This difference significantly affects the Ps binding energy because the Ps binding energy of PsRb is 
0.093 eV.
We have also obtained the electron affinity of Rb from MRSDCI calculations incorporating the 
excitations from 4s24p6.3 The resulting electron affinity is 0.4861 eV, in excellent agreement with the 
experimental value. This shows the importance of considering the core-electron effects, i.e., core-
core and core-valence correlation effects. Hence, the MRSDCI calculation incorporating excitations 
from 4s24p6 for PsRb must be carried out. 
In this work, we performed MRSDCI calculations with the core-electron effects for PsRb and 
obtained the Ps binding energy of PsRb. That is, MRSDCI wave functions constructed in the 
configurations excited from 4s24p65s21s+
1 were calculated. The correlating orbitals used were the 
natural orbitals (NOs) obtained from a series of MRSDCI calculations. All atomic orbitals were 
expanded with B-splines. The B-spline set4,5 is one of piecewise polynomials and is very flexible. 
Hence, all atomic orbitals of each system can be expanded using a common B-spline set regardless of 
the symmetry of the atomic orbitals.
The many-body and higher angular momentum effects are very important in the calculation of the 
positronium-atom complex. Unfortunately, it is infeasible to fully incorporate those effects. Hence, 
the full configuration interaction (FCI) energy limit and the energy contribution from higher angular 
momentum orbitals (the higher λ  effect) were estimated using extrapolation techniques.
Details of the B-splines and MRSDCI calculations are described in the next section. Section 
3 shows and discusses the results. Accuracy of the Ps binding energy is also analyzed using the 
electron affinity of Rb.
2. COMPUTATIONAL DETAILS
The present basis set consists of N Kth-order B-splines on a knot sequence defined on an interval 
[0, R], where is in bohr. A knot sequence was used with endpoints of K-fold multiplicity:

where R1 is the initial interval and β  is the parameter characterizing the distribution of the knots. 
Here β  is decided to satisfy the following condition:
R = R1 (1 + β + β
2 + ⋯ + β N–K+2),  (β≥1). (4)
Since the first and last terms of the B-splines with K-fold multiplicity are nonzero at r = 0 and r = R, 
respectively, the N-term B-spline set was constructed omitting them. This work adopted N = 40, 
R = 60, K = 9. β  was optimized by the Hartree-Fock (HF) calculation. Those parameters are the same 
as those used in the calculations dealing only with valence electrons1.
Our MRSDCI calculations used the natural orbitals (NOs) with angular momentum λ  up to 8 (i.e. 
l-symmetry). The NOs were generated by a series of MRSDCI calculations with reference spaces 
consisting of principal configurations of a configuration interaction wave function (a ‘minimal 
reference space’). The minimal reference configurations of PsRb are listed in Table 1. spdf-NOs were 
obtained from the first MRSDCI calculations with HF orbitals. Subsequently, g-NOs were generated 
by MRSDCI calculations with the spdf-NOs. The NOs with higher λ  than g were generated in the same 
way, step by step. Those NOs whose occupation number was less than 10–6 were truncated at each 
step.
To estimate the FCI energy limit and the higher λ  effect, a further series of MRSDCI calculations 
was carried out using obtained NOs, increasing the reference configurations which were selected for 
the largest weight in the previous MRSDCI wave function. The final MRSDCI calculation is denoted 
as ‘MRSDCI(max)’.
The HF calculations with the B-spline set were carried out using our atomic self-consistent field 
program code based on the algorithm of Roothaan and Bagus. 6–8 All CI calculations were performed 
by the program ATOMCI 9,10 modified for atomic systems containing positrons.

3. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Table 2 summarizes the results of the MRSDCI calculations with the minimal reference space for 
PsRb. The weight of the reference space (wref) is smaller as the maximum λ  of NOs (λmax) is larger. 
This shows the importance of the excited configurations with NOs having higher λ . The loses of the 
MRSDCI energies due to the NO truncation (ε) are larger than those for Rb. The total ε  for PsRb is 
–0.000419 hartree. The total ε  may affect the Ps binding energy. Assuming additivity of energy, the 
total ε  was added to the MRSDCI energy.
We estimated the FCI energy limit using an extrapolation. The FCI wave function is the 
MRSDCI wave function with wref=1. The FCI limits of the MRSDCI energies (ECI) were estimated 
by extrapolating ECI to wref=1. To this end, the convergence pattern of ECI, ECI +Q, and EAV was 
analyzed with respect to wref. ECI+Q is ECI plus the Davidson correction

and ECI+Q. Although EAV has no physical meaning, it is useful for this extrapolation. Fig. 1 shows the 
convergence pattern of ECI, ECI+Q, and EAV against wref. Extrapolating ECI to wref = 1 produced the 
FCI energy limits –2938.84872 hartree.
The higher λ  effect for the total energies was estimated by extrapolating the energy contributions 
due to the respective λ -NOs to λ →∞. To treat with the same accuracy, the extrapolation was 
performed using MRSDCI energies with wref ≈ 0.92. Fig. 2 shows the energy contributions from the 
respective λ-NOs (ΔEλ), on a log-log scale. The energy contribution converges linearly. Hence, ΔEλ 
was fitted by the following relation with two parameters α  and β  :

The energy contribution from the NOs having λ  greater than 8 (Eλ >8) was estimated as

The FCI energy limit including the higher λ  effect was obtained finally. The energy contribution due 
to the higher λ  effect is –0.012969 hartree.
Table 3 summarizes the Ps binding energy of PsRb with our previous value. Our final Ps binding 
energy is 0.043 eV. The present value is smaller than our previous value by 0.050 eV. The result 
is unsatisfactory because the present calculation may include large ambiguity due to insufficient 
calculations. To obtain a reliable Ps binding energy, the reference space must be further extended 
and wave functions with large wref must be computed. Such calculations should remove ambiguity in 
the extrapolation of ECI to wref = 1 and in the estimation of the energy contribution due to the higher 
λ  effect.
