Development of Philosophy Based-Students Worksheet on the Matrix
This study focused on developing student worksheet (SW) based on philosophy on the topic of matrix operations, including an overview of its effect on students' conceptual understanding abilities of grade XI at Senior High School (SMA in Bahasa) IT Bina Ilmi Palembang. It discussed how the student worksheet produced could be valid, practical, and had potential effects. The method used was development research consisting of preliminary, prototyping and assessment phase stages. This student worksheet consisted of the history of the matrix (ontology), matrix operation procedures (epistemology) and implementation of the matrix (axiology). The results showed that the validity of the student worksheet amounted to 84.1% with a valid category and could be used with minor revisions. The practicality score at the small group stage was 87.8% with a very practical category. Statistical results showed that there was an increase in the average score of a significant test result of 59.06. This showed that there was a positive effect from the use of philosophy-based SW on students' conceptual understanding. Based on these results, the philosophy-based student worksheet developed was categorized as valid, practical, and effective in improving students' conceptual understanding ability on matrix material
A Low-Cost Diffraction-based Light Wavelength Measurement for Classroom Purposes
As requested by science education curricula, students are challenged to analyze light properties through optical instruments. However, the light is an electromagnetic wave, and it is very short and not easy to be measured using conventional instruments like a vernier caliper. The research aims to measure light wavelength by analyzing the light diffraction phenomenon for classroom purposes. The method applied Huygens's diffraction principle. The parameters used for the independent variable are the types of lasers and the gap between the laser and screens. Next, the dependent variables are the diffraction angle, wavelength (?), and the gap between diffraction spots. We used diffraction slits (2,500 and 7,500 lines per inch) as control variables. Three laser beams passing through the various slits can be seen and further evaluated to estimate the wavelength. The result shows that the lasers with different wavelengths (665.45, 544.35, 416.20 nm) have been demonstrated successfully with percent errors of 2.32-2.76% and percent differences of 2.29-2.73%. We have concluded that this low-cost experiment can be implemented in school
FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY OF MANDIBULAR NERVE
The mandibular nerve is the largest branch of the trigeminal nerve. It innervates the mandibular teeth, gums, skin of the temporal region, ear, lower lip, the lower part of the face, muscles of mastication, and mucous membrane of the anterior 2/3 of the tongue. The mandibular nerve is the main pharyngeal nerve arch. The sensory and motor fibers in the mandibular nerve originate from two roots: the sensory root, which originates from the semilunar ganglion, and the motor root, which originates from the motor nucleus. The mandibular nerve has a mixture of sensory and motor nerves and motor and sensory functions. Face, cheeks and temples, oral cavity, teeth and gums, nasal cavity and sinuses, and temporomandibular joints and muscles. Trauma to the mandible can damage or tear the inferior alveolar nerve in the mandibular canal, causing sensory loss distal to the lesion. Local anesthesia of the inferior alveolar nerve is generally reserved for dental procedures. Local anesthetic injection into the oral mucosa on the medial side of the mandible can also involve the nearby lingual nerve, thus affecting the tongue and the inside of the mouth. The close connection between the submandibular canal and the lingual nerve is important in root canal infections and surgical procedures
PERBEDAAN LATIHAN FISIK PAGI HARI DAN MALAM HARI TERHADAP PERSENTASE LEMAK TUBUH PADA PESILAT
Pencak silat merupakan latihan fisik tipe aerobik dan tergolong intensitas berat ini berhubungan erat dengan kelincahan dan berat badan. Kedua hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh kadar lemak tubuh. Distribusi lemak tubuh dipengaruhi oleh proses lipolisis yang distimulasi oleh hormon kortisol yang diatur oleh irama sirkadian. Proses lipolisis dipengaruhi adanya perbedaan waktu latihan fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan persentase lemak tubuh antara kelompok latihan fisik pagi hari dan malam hari pada pesilat PSHT Kota Semarang. Metode penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Latihan fisik pagi hari dan malam hari sebagai variabel bebas dan persentase lemak tubuh sebagai variabel terikat. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 34 pesilat PSHT Kota Semarang lalu dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok dan dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Pengambilan data menggunakan data primer. Persentase lemak tubuh (PLT) diukur menggunakan skinfold caliper lalu hasil ukurnya dikonversikan ke dalam rumus Durnin-Womersley dan Siri. Pengolahan data menggunakan uji T Independen dengan p < 0,05. Rerata dari PLT 17 data pada kelompok pagi hari 13,37% dan PLT 17 data kelompok malam hari 16,7%. Kedua rerata kelompok dikategorikan normal. Uji T Independen perbedaan latihan fisik pagi hari dan malam hari terhadap PLT menghasilkan p = 0,009. Kesimpulannya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara latihan fisik pagi hari dan malam hari terhadap persentase lemak tubuh pada pesilat. Latihan pagi hari lebih efektif memperoleh PLT yang normal
Uji Akurasi Model Machine Learning Untuk Memprediksi Faktor Pendorong Pergantian Karyawan
Tim yang kohesif dan solid mempengaruhi stabilitas proses kerja dalam suatu organisasi. Pergantian anggota tim atau karyawan dalam waktu singkat dapat mempengaruhi bagaimana perusahaan dapat segera mencapai proyek dan target organisasi. Berbagai faktor dapat memicu pergantian karyawan. Dari penelitian ini, ditemukan beberapa faktor pendorong utama pergantian karyawan. Untuk menemukan faktor-faktor pendorong tersebut, dibangun suatu model machine learning. Selanjutnya untuk memastikan akurasi dari model yang dibangun, dilakukan uji akurasi terhadap dua algoritma yang dipergunakan untuk membangun model tersebut, yaitu Logistic Regression dan Random Forest. Pengujian menggunakan dataset publik diperoleh skor akurasi sebesar 0,77 pada Logistic Regression, dan Random Forest memiliki skor akurasi sebesar 0,98. Faktor pendorong turnover karyawan tertinggi adalah tingkat kepuasan sebesar 50,05%, diikuti oleh waktu yang dihabiskan di perusahaan sebesar 27.14%. Faktor pendorong ketiga yang paling signifikan adalah evaluasi terakhir dari pekerja yaitu sebesar 18,27%
Analysis of the need for e-book adaptive physical education to physical education students at University of Bengkulu
The need for e-books in adaptive physical education courses needs to be done to meet the needs of physical education students at the University of Bengkulu. Analysis of the needs of e-books is a key factor in knowing the needs of students in attending adaptive physical education courses. This study aims to determine the level of need for adaptive physical education e-books for physical education students. This research is qualitative descriptive. Instruments and data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, and interviews. A total of 1 lecturer supporting adaptive physical education courses, and 22 students selected purposively were involved to provide research data. Data analysis using data triangulation. The results of the analysis of the data stated that: 1) lecturers have limited time to develop an e-book, and 2) students need the e-book to support the lecture process. So it can be concluded that the need for adaptive PE e-books is in the very high category. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an e-book to meet the needs of physical education students in participating in adaptive physical education lectures at the Bengkulu University physical education study program
The effect of the combination of split jump and short sprint training on flexibility in volleyball
One of the elements of physical condition needed by volleyball players, especially the Volleyball Team of the Faculty of Sports and Health Undiksha is flexibility. This study aims to determine the effect of the combined plyometric split jump and short sprint training on the flexibility of the Faculty of Sports and Health Undiksha volleyball team. This research is quasi-experimental. The number of samples used was 40 people who were taken with a simple random technique. The data analysis technique used inferential statistics with hypothesis testing using paired T-test at a significance level of ?=0,05, assisted by SPSS.25. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant effect between "The Combination of Plyometric Split Jump and Short Sprint Training toward Flexibility in the Volleyball Team of the Faculty of Sports and Health". Based on these results, it is advisable to recommend to volleyball coaches that in improving the physical condition of athletes, they will choose a training method that is on the elements of the physical condition that will be improved
PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MAHASISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PERKULIAHAN PROBLEM BASED INSTRUCTION (PBI) MATA KULIAH GAMBAR TEKNIK
This research is motivated by the problem of Engineering Drawing Lectures which are still focused on lecturers, student knowledge about Engineering Drawings is still low because many student learning outcomes do not meet the criteria. Therefore, it is necessary to apply the lecture model so that Engineering Drawing lectures can increase. The model applied is Problem Based Instruction. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in the first semester of Engineering Drawing courses. This type of research is Quasi Experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this study were first semester students of the Automotive Technology Vocational Education Study Program at Lancang Kuning University who were enrolled in the 2022/2023 academic year as many as 32 students. Collecting data in this study using pretest and posttest learning outcomes. Data were analyzed using Gain Score. Based on the research results, the average pretest score was 65.75 and the posttest score was 86.50. From the calculation of the Gain Score is 0.557 in the medium category using the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) lecture model for the Engineering Drawing course in the Automotive Technology Vocational Education Study Program, Lancang Kuning University
ALAT PERMAINAN EDUKATIF SEBAGAI SARANA PERKEMBANGAN MOTORIK HALUS ANAK USIA DINI
Keterlambatan motorik halus dapat mengakibatkan anak tidak dapat menggambar, menulis, mencoret – coret, bahkan sulit untuk mengkoordinasikan tangan dan mata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) terhadap motorik halus anak usia dini. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif Pre-eksperimental One Shot Case Study. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan bantuan program SPSS versi 25 for windows dengan jumlah data peserta didik (N) yaitu 17 pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 maka didapat rtabel sebesar 0,482. Uji reliabilitas menyebutkan hasil yang reliabel yaitu 0,862. Uji normalitas menyebutkan hasil yang normal yaitu Sig pada kolom Shapiro-Wilk keempat APE memperoleh nilai signifikansi yaitu, Origami nilai Sig 0,412, Biji-bijian memiliki nilai Sig 0,021, lalu Finger Painting memiliki nilai Sig 0,007 kemudian Gunting nilai Sig yaitu 0,005 yang berarti bahwa apabila nilai sig ? 0,05 sehingga dapat beristribusi normal. Uji homogenitas menyebutkan hasil yang sig yaitu 0,010. Dan uji hipotesis anova one way menyatakan hasil Sig < 0,05 dengan hasil uji anova one way yaitu sebesar 0,000 maka dinyatakan Sig. Mempunyai arti Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh APE terhadap motorik halus anak. Karena APE yang digunakan peneliti, merupakan kreasi mandiri dalam pengembangan media belajar agar anak tidak bosan ketika belajar. Selain itu, temuan penelitian ini mendapati bahwa motorik halus berkembangan karena adanya stimulasi sarana kreasi APE yang digunakan beragam. Temuan penelitian selain APE dapat mengembangkan motorik halus anak, kreasi pengembangan APE juga mempermudah belajar anak lebih menyenangkan, melatih konsentrasi, mengembangkan kreativitas dan imajinasi anak, menghilangkan rasa bosan anak karena permainan yang anak lakukan cenderung selalu berbeda, hasilnya komponen tersebut secara tidak sadar ikut meningkat selain motorik halus
MEDIA E-COMIC BERBASIS CARTOON STORY MARKER MATERI HURUF KAPITAL DI KELAS II SEKOLAH DASAR
Kemampuan menulis tingkat dasar sangat diperlukan oleh siswa kelas rendah salah satunya yaitu kemampuan siswa menulis menggunakan huruf kapital dengan benar. Dalam pembelajaran banyak ditemukan siswa kelas II SD yang salah menuliskan huruf kapital dengan benar. Hal ini diakibatkan oleh variasi media yang digunakan masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media e-comic menggunakan aplikasi cartoon story marker pada materi penggunaan huruf kapital di kelas II SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan modifikasi berdasarkan kebutuhan penelitian yaitu gabungan Borg dan Gall dan Allesi dan Trollip. Tahapan penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan bentuk awal produk, revisi produk dan validasi ahli. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu terdiri dari kegiatan observasi dan wawancara, walkhrough, angket dan juga tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi materi 93.60% kategori sangat valid, validasi media 93.91% kategori sangat valid dan bahasa 93.60% kategori sangat valid. Dari ketiga validasi diperoleh hasil rata-rata 94.77% dengan kategori sangat valid. Sedangkan skor kepraktisan diperoleh rata-rata presentase sebesar 89% kategori sangat praktis. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa media e-comic menggunakan cartoon story marker pada materi penggunaan huruf kapital ini siswa teruji valid dan praktis serta layak
