    Reviewing the Impact of COVID-19 on the Performance of Small Industries in South Sumatra

    In early 2020, the COVID-19 virus outbreak spread globally and had a negative impact on the economy. The large-scale social restriction policy implemented by the South Sumatra government to contain the development of the virus has had a negative impact on small industries. This study aims to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on small industries in South Sumatra Province. The data used are primary data from 60 samples of small industries and secondary data sourced from agencies. The analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the Wilcoxon signed test show that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a decline in profits and labor in small industries in South Sumatra Province. Small industries have felt the negative impact of the presence of COVID-19 but they can still survive and it is easy for their businesses to get back on their feet. For this reason, various policies are needed to develop small industries in South Sumatra Province

    THE CORRELATION OF OMEGA 3 LEVELS WITH INTERLEUKIN-6 LEVELS IN A HEALTHY ELDERLY COMMUNITY RSMH PALEMBANG

    Ageing is associated with the geriatric syndrome, characterized by several health issues frequently associated with immunosenescence. In the elderly, immunosenescence is characterized by low-grade chronic systemic inflammation manifested as elevated levels of inflammatory molecular and cellular markers. One of the inflammatory markers is interleukin 6 (IL-6). In addition, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids are a class of biologically active and anti-inflammatory fatty acids. This study aims to determine the relationship between omega-3 and interleukin-6 levels in the elderly in RSMH Palembang who are in good health. This investigation is a cross-sectional, analytic observational study. The sampling method employed was consecutive sampling. The participants in this study were members of the RSMH Palembang healthy elderly community who were 60 years of age or older. People who were malnourished, had severe illnesses like cancer or autoimmune diseases, or were taking Omega-3 supplements were not allowed in this study. As a result, 22 (55%) of 40 research subjects had low serum omega-3 levels. On the other hand, there were 35 (87.5%) samples with elevated serum IL-6 levels and 5 (12.5%) samples with normal IL-6 levels among the samples obtained. The correlation analysis showed that there was a strong negative correlation between the levels of serum omega-3 and interleukin 6 (p = 0.005).     PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR BERBASIS PROJECT BASED LEARNING PADA MATERI TEORI ASAM BASA, pH LARUTAN DAN TITRASI ASAM BASA DI KELAS XI IPA

    This research is a development research that produces teaching materials based on project-based learning (PjBL) on acid-base theory, pH solutions and acid-base titrations for class XI IPA. The development model used is the Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4S-TMD). Data collection was carried out by interviews, questionnaires, validation and tests. The results of the validation of teaching materials developed from the three aspects material, pedagogic, and design, obtained an average validity score of 0.93 in the high category and declared valid. The practicality test results that have been carried out and analyzed obtain a practicality value of 0.80 where the score is categorized as high so that it is considered practical. The results of the effectiveness test of teaching materials by looking at student learning outcomes based on pretest and posttest scores are then calculated for the N-Gain. The N-Gain score obtained was 0.72 where the score was in the high category range and was declared effective. Thus the project-based learning-based teaching materials that have been developed are stated to be valid, practical and effective so that they are suitable for use in the chemistry learning process for acid-base theory , pH solutions and acid-base titrations in class XI IPA

    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) menguji efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL dalam meningkatkan self efficacy (2) menguji efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Jambi yang mengikuti mata kuliah penilaian proses dan hasil belajar kimia kelas B tahun akademik 2022/2023. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Data penelitian ini diperoleh menggunakan teknik angket dan soal hasil belajar. Teknik angket digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai self efficacy, sedangkan teknik soal digunakan untuk memperoleh hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji paired samples t test. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat peningkatan self efficacy yang signifikan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL, (2) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang signifikan setelah penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL. Saran untuk penelitian berikutnya adalah yaitu diterapkan model pembelajaran yang lain dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran yang bermakna untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa

    Motivation to learn physical education through face-to-face learning in the COVID-19 pandemic

    This study aims to determine the motivation to learn physical education, sport,s and health through face-to-face learning during the COVID-19 pandemic for students at SD Negeri 2 Guwang in the 2021/2022 academic year. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative research with the h survey method. The population used in this study were students of SD Negeri 2 Guwang for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 133 students ts. sampling technique used was a random sampling of as much as 25% of the total population of 33 students. The data collection technique used a closed questionnaire/questionnaire in several papers. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics with percentages. The results of data analysis on motivation to learn physical education, sport, and health through face-to-face learning during the COVID-19 pandemic for students at SD Negeri 2 Guwang in the 2021/2022 academic year, as many as 19 students, or 57.575% have very high motivation, 14 participants students or 42.425% have high motivation, 0 students or 0% have moderate motivation, 0 students or 0.00% have low motivation, and 0 students or 0.00%. Based on the analysis of the data from the discussion, it can be concluded that the motivation to learn physical education, sport,s and health through face-to-face learning during the COVID-19 pandemic for students at SD Negeri 2 Guwang in the 2021/2022 academic year shows an average score of 66.3 with a very high category

    THE IMPACT OF CHILD LABOR ON CHILDREN’S DEVELOPMENT: A CASE STUDY OF AFGHANISTAN

    ABSTRAKSalah satu kenyataan yang tidak menyenangkan di Afghanistan saat ini adalah adanya pekerja anak. Berbagai undang-undang dan kebijakan telah disahkan untuk mencegah meningkatnya pekerja anak di negara ini, namun hasilnya belum memberikan hasil yang menggembirakan bagi pertumbuhan serta karakter anak-anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pekerja anak mempengaruhi perkembangan serta karakter anak-anak Afghanistan. Untuk menyelidiki dampak pekerja anak terhadap perkembangan fisik, kognitif, dan sosio-emosional anak-anak di Afghanistan, khususnya di Kabul dan Nangarhar, di mana jumlah pekerja anak meningkat, penelitian ini mewawancarai dokter, pendidik, orang tua, dan anak-anak yang bekerja. Terlihat bahwa pekerja anak berdampak negatif secara signifikan terhadap perkembangan anak dan karakter mereka secara keseluruhan, hal ini membedakan anak-anak yang bekerja dan anak-anak yang tidak bekerja. Dampak dari anak yang bekerja mengakibatkan overthinking, lupa, kurang perhatian, dan hilangnya rasa percaya diri, antara lain dalam hal perkembangan kognitif, sedangkan masalah perkembangan fisik yang mendesak mengakibatkan kecacatan. akibat bekerja di lingkungan yang keras dan beracun. Orang tua, masyarakat, dan yang terpenting, pemerintah menerima rekomendasi untuk kesejahteraan anak. Di sisi lain, para dokter mendesak pemerintah mengembangkan solusi untuk mengatasi kesulitan pekerja anak demi kepentingan masa depan anak-anak Afghanistan.  ABSTRACTOne of the unpleasant realities of Afghanistan nowadays is thought to be child labor. Various laws and policies have been passed to prevent the rise in child labor in the nation, but the results have not been encouraging for the growth and future of children. This study sought to determine how child labor affected Afghan children's development. To investigate the effects of child labor on children's physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development in Afghanistan, namely in Kabul and Nangarhar, where child labor has increased, the study interviewed doctors, educators, parents, and working children. It was shown that child labor significantly negatively impacted children's overall development, which distinguishes working children from non-working children. The most severe consequences occurred in the areas of cognitive and physical development, resulting in overthinking, forgetfulness, lack of attention, and loss of confidence, among other things, in the case of cognitive development, while the pressing issue of physical development resulted in disabilities as a result of working in a harsh and toxic environment. Parents, communities, and, most crucially, the government received recommendations for children's wellbeing. Doctors, on the other hand, urged that the government develop solutions to address child labor difficulties for the benefit of Afghan children's future

    ABSTRAKModel pembelajaran yang baik adalah model pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan abad 21, sesuai perkembangan IPTEKS, dan dapat mengakomodir keinginan siswa tanpa adanya marginalisasi. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang sangat direkomendasikan oleh pemerintah adalah model projek based learning (PjBL) sesuai dengan implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Metode penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 8 Malang dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi, pengolahan data dan verifikasi dan kesimpulan secara komprehensif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh ditemukan bahwa model PjBL mampu meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dengan baik. Model PjBL yang terdapat di SMAN 8 Malang telah digunakan oleh guru pendidikan Pancasila sebelum adanya IKM. Adanya pelaksanaan projek penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila (P5) selama 1 tahun berjalan memperkuat posisi model pembelajaran ini. Sebab, tidak hanya pendidikan Pancasila saja harus memiliki luaran, melainkan seluruh mata pelajaran wajib menghasilkan produk atau hasil laporan baik secara individu maupun secara berkelompok. Dengan demikian, model PjBL menjadikan mereka terbiasa untuk terampil terutama dalam kerjasama, kolaborasi dan berkomunikasi dengan baik. Model PjBL juga mampu mengintegrasikan seluruh warga sekolah dengan lingkungan sekitar (kontekstual) dan memiliki dampak langsung yang sangat berharga pada pengalaman belajar mereka.  ABSTRACTA good learning model is a learning model that suits the needs of the 21st century, is in line with developments in science and technology, and can accommodate students' desires without marginalization. One learning model that is highly recommended by the government is the project based learning (PjBL) model in accordance with the implementation of the independent curriculum. The research method was carried out at SMAN 8 Malang using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis uses reduction, data processing and verification and comprehensive conclusions. Based on the research results obtained, it was found that the PjBL model was able to improve students' skills well. The PjBL model at SMAN 8 Malang was used by Pancasila education teachers before the existence of IKM. The implementation of a project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students (P5) for 1 year has strengthened the position of this learning model. Because, not only Pancasila education must have outcomes, but all subjects must produce products or report results both individually and in groups. Thus, the PjBL model makes them accustomed to being skilled, especially in cooperation, collaboration and communicating well. The PjBL model is also able to integrate all school members with the surrounding environment (contextual) and has a very valuable direct impact on their learning experience

    Value of The Historical Village of Segara Kembang Village as A Source of Learning Local History

    Abstract: In general, history learning is learning about important facts and events that occurred in the past both locally, nationally and globally. History learning has several functions, including being able to develop values in students. Local history is a unit of historical study with a theme of events that are limited to a particular locality or certain area and is often known as regional history. Local history has an important function in history learning, one of which is as forming regional identity and enriching knowledge about community life patterns and regional cultural diversity in various regions. Segara Kembang Village is one of the villages located in the Ogan Komering Ulu district that has not been widely touched and used as a source of local history learning, even though this village has great potential as a source of local history learning. The aim of this research is to describe the historical values found in the Segara Kembang Village settlement. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method using observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that Segara Kembang Village has values that can be used as a source of local history.Keywords: Historical Values, Local History, Learning Resources, Segara Kembang Village.Abstrak: Secara umum pembelajaran sejarah adalah pembelajaran yang mempelajari tentang fakta dan peristiwa penting yang terjadi pada masa lampau baik dalam lingkup lokal, nasional dan global.  Pembelajaran sejarah memiliki beberapa fungsi diantaranya adalah mampu menumbuhkembangkan nilai-nilai dalam diri peserta didik. Sejarah lokal merupakan salah satu unit kajian sejarah bertema kejadian yang bersifat terbatas lokalitas tertentu atau daerah tertentu dan sering dikenal pula dengan istilah sejarah daerah. Sejarah lokal memiliki fungsi penting dalam pembelajaran sejarah salah satunya sebagai pembentuk identitas daerah dan memperkaya pengetahuan tentang pola kehidupan masyarakat dan keberagaman budaya daerah di berbagai daerah.  Desa Segara Kembang adalah salah satu desa yang terletak di kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu yang belum banyak tersentuh dan dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber pembelajaran sejarah lokal, padahal desa ini memiliki potensi besar sebagai sumber pembelajaran sejarah lokal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai sejarah yang terdapat pada permukiman Desa Segara Kembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Desa Segara Kembang memiliki nilai-nilai yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber sejarah lokal.Kata Kunci : Nilai Sejarah, Sejarah Lokal, Sumber Pembelajaran,  Desa Segara Kembang

    Kardinah in the Frame of Women's Struggle in Tegal (1911 – 1927)

    This article reviews Kardinah's track record in Tegal. The main issues raised were Kardinah's thoughts and role in fighting for women and some impacts of the struggle she carried out in Tegal in 1911 - 1927. The purpose of this research was to reveal Kardinah's role in these aspects of the problem. The scope of this research is in the area of Tegal, Central Java with a research time limit of 1911-1927. The research method used is the historical research method which consists of several stages starting from heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The main sources for this research include government archives, contemporary newspapers, and similar research results. From this research, we found several results in the form of ideas and steps taken by Kardinah to bring Javanese women toward a better life. The initial step was carried out through the provision of educational facilities in the form of sekolah kepandaian putri, Wisma Pranawa. Kardinah also played an important role in promoting local silver crafts and developing Tegalan batik motifs. In the health sector, Kardinah seeks to provide medical facilities which is realized through the establishment of the Kardinah Hospital. Kardinah's progress in women's struggles, which is rarely known to the public outside of her position as Kartini's shadow, makes this study necessary to carry out.Keywords: Kardinah, Women's Struggle, TegalArtikel ini mengulas tentang rekam jejak Kardinah di Tegal. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah bagaimana pemikiran dan peran Kardinah dalam memperjuangkan nasib perempuan dan sejumlah dampak dari perjuangan yang ia lakukan di Tegal tahun 1911 - 1927. Tujuan penelitiannya sendiri adalah untuk mengungkap peran Kardinah pada aspek-aspek yang menjadi permasalahan tersebut. Adapun ruang lingkup penelitian ini di daerah Tegal, Jawa Tengah dengan Batasan waktu penelitian yaitu 1911-1927. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian Sejarah yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan mulai dari heuristik, kritik sumber, intepretasi, dan historiografi. Sumber utama dalam penelitian ini diantaranya arsip pemerintahan, surat kabar sezaman, dan hasil penelitian sejenis. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan sejumlah hasil berupa gagasan dan langkah-langkah yang Kardinah tempuh untuk membawa perempuan Jawa menuju kehidupan yang lebih baik. Langkah awal dilakukan melalui penyediaan fasilitas pendidikan dalam bentuk pendirian Sekolah Kepandaian Putri, Wisma Pranawa. Kardinah juga berperan penting dalam mempromosikan kerajinan perak setempat dan mengembangan motif batik Tegalan. Di bidang kesehatan, Kardinah mengupayakan penyediaan fasilitas medis yang diwujudkan melalui pendirian Rumah Sakit Kardinah. Kiprah Kardinah dalam perjuangan perempuan yang masih jarang diketahui publik diluar posisinya sebagai bayang-bayang Kartini membuat kajian ini menjadi perlu untuk dilakukan.
