Use of Computer Algebra Systems in Finding of a Formula for the Term of a Recurrent Sequence
Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, June, 2018Solving the problem of finding a formula for the n term of a recurrent sequence with
a linear dependence requires a series of calculations. We have written a sequence of
commands in Maple that make all the necessary calculations. This helps students concentrate
on methods of finding the general formula instead of algebraic calculations. Also, students can
use Maple to check the completed calculations at each stage. Students can try to compose
more difficult problems with linear connection between 4 and more consecutive terms of the
recurrent sequence.Association for the Development of the Information Society, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski
Design of Digital Educational Games
Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, June, 2018In this paper is described the significant and important role on serious educational
games for the modern technology enhanced education. The Games Artist create the visual
elements of a game and user interface components. Several Masters of Multimedia and Virtual
Reality projects are presented.Association for the Development of the Information Society, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski

Necessary and Sufficient Condition for Finite Time Blow up of the Solutions to Sixth Order Double Dispersive Equations
[Kutev N.; Kutev Nikolai; Кутев Николай]; [Kolkovska N.; Кольковска Н.]; [Dimova M.; Димова М.]The nonlinear double dispersive equation of sixth order with linear restoring force is investigated. Necessary and sufficient condition for finite time blow up of the solution with arbitrary positive energy is obtained. New very general sufficient conditions for blow up of the solution are proved. Explicit choice of initial data with arbitrary positive initial energy, satisfying all conditions of the theorems, are given. 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification: 35B44, 35L75

New lower bounds for the number of ACG codes over F4
In this paper we consider additive circulant graph (ACG) codes over F4 of
length n >= 34 and we present some new results for the number of these codes.
The most important result is that there exists a unique ACG code over F4 of
length 36 and minimum weight 11
The Role of Game-based Learning in the School
Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, June, 2018The paper presents problems, caused by the incompatibility between the traditional
teaching methods and the needs of the students who are part of the new high-technology
society. A comparison between special features of traditional and interactive learning is made.
Also some core didactical principles are presented in the light of game-based learning.Association for the Development of the Information Society, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski
Student’s Readiness for E-learning
Report published in the Proceedings of the National Conference on "Education and Research in the Information Society", Plovdiv, June, 2018In this paper, we present our attempt to investigate student’s attitude towards a
technology-enhanced learning. We are interested in exploring how learners react to changes
in training methodology due to the transition to e-learning. This investigation employs survey
research to assess the extent to which students are ready for changes in the training
methodology regarding e-forms. Data have been collected over 200 students across different
bachelor programs at New Bulgarian University in both full-time and distance forms of studies.
The analysis is based on our experience in delivering courses via Moodle for both distance and
full-time education. Our results concerning the students’ readiness for e-learning are presented
in this paper.Association for the Development of the Information Society, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski
Maximum Principle for Weakly Coupled Linear Non-Cooperative Systems
[Boyadzhiev G.; Бояджиев Г.]; [Kutev N.; Кутев Н.]In this article is considered the validity of the maximum principle for noncooperative linear parabolic systems. Unlike the cooperative ones, when cooperativeness is a sufficient condition for maximum principle, simple examples show that for non-cooperative systems there is no general validity of the maximum principle. In this work are given some conditions for global on time variable validity of the maximum principle, as well as some local on time sufficient conditions for it. 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification: 35J47, 35J57
