Numerical Study of Traveling Wave Solutions to 2D Boussinesq Equation
Get PDFThe aim of this paper is to evaluate stationary
propagating wave solutions to the two dimensional Boussinesq
equation. To solve the resulting nonlinear fourth order elliptic
problem we use a combination of high order finite difference
schemes, an iterative procedure and new asymptotic boundary
conditions. A number of numerical results are obtained for the
validation of the method and for the dependence of the wave's
shape on the velocity c and dispersion parameters. We also give a
comparison with the numerical results and best-fit formulae given in [4, 5]
On Fuzzy Matching of Strings
Get PDFFuzzy matching is a widely used technique in computer-assisted
translation and some other fields (it is implemented in most database
engines and is used in autocompleting of data, for example).
In this paper, fuzzy matching in the domain of approximate string matching
is investigated. Basic algorithms like Soundex, Bitap, Boyer-Moore [1, 2]
are covered. Using the results on those algorithms, several database engines
are compared and a new way of handling fuzzy matching is offered

Get PDFThe report presents the technology of stereometry training, realized through the stereo system StereoMV. The system is proprietary, has a user-friendly interface and allows the learner easy navigation and interaction. StereoMV is the basis of a technological approach that supports the teaching of mathematics through the visualization of spatial figures, in order to easily master the concepts associated with them. StereoMV is part of a dissertation on "Creating a training software application running on a stereoscopic visualization system.
Методи и алгоритми за симулационно моделиране на фрактални процеси
Get PDFThe report presents methods and algorithms for simulation modelling of fractal processes. Fractal processes based on fractal Brownian motion, fractal Gaussian noise and, fractal Gaussian noise-wavelet transformation are simulated. Based on the performed comparative analysis of the algorithms for simulation modelling of fractal processes with respect to the accuracy parameter, it follows that the algorithms based on the models of fractal Gaussian noise and fractal Gaussian noise-wavelet transformation have the smallest relative error with respect to the Hurst parameter. The value of the Hurst parameter is one of the most important characteristics determining the degree of self-similarity of fractal processes. The considered algorithms based on these two models can be applied for modelling of physiological data, including cardiological data, because they have fractal properties.Научното изследване е проведено като част от проекта „Изследване на приложението на нови математически методи за анализ на кардиологични данни“ № КП-06-Н22/5 от 07.12.2018 г., финансиран от Фонд „Научни Изследвания“

Документалните извори провокират разработването на многобройни изследователски задачи в различни области: политическа и културна история, история на изкуството, география и картография, геология, археология, етнология и др. Получените резултати предизвикват сериозен интерес не само сред българската научна колегия, но и в широк европейски контекст увеличават възможностите за бъдещи интердисциплинарни проучвания. Това е приносът на Академичния архив към културното разнообразие на Европа и света в исторически и съвременен план.SA-BAS is a specialized unit and has its place and importance in the structure of the Academy: provides the Bulgarian scientific community with a complete resource base reflecting all aspects of society's development in different historical periods – one of the main tasks of any archive. The cultural heritage, preserved in SA-BAS, fits well in the international priorities of European science and culture. Documentary sources provoke the development of research tasks in various fields: political and cultural history, art history, geography and cartography, geology, archeology, ethnology, etc. The obtained results are of great interest not only among the Bulgarian scientific community. This is the contribution of the Academic Archive to the cultural diversity of Europe and the world in historical and contemporary terms

Актуализировано значение знания и уважения культуры своего народа как гаранта самосохранения этноса, укрепления социального самосознания, формирования толерантных взаимосвязей и взаимоотношений с другими этносами. Рассмотрено значение народных инструментов в музыкальном образовании детей. Раскрыты возможности решения проблемы архивации продуктов культурного наследия и обеспечения к ним полноценного доступа. Продемонстрированы современные возможности дистанционного образования и использования ресурсов цифровых технологий в музыкальном образовании.The paper presents the peculiarities of introduction of digital technologies in musical education on traditions of folk instrumental culture, the potentials of building an educational process on the basis of centuries-old traditions of the Russian people, its richest cultural heritage, in particular, folk art culture. Functions of folk art culture are shown and analyzed. The core viewpoint of the paper is showing the importance of knowledge and respect for own culture as a guarantor of self-preservation of the ethnic group, strengthening of social self-awareness, formation of tolerant relationships and relationships with other ethnic groups. The importance of folk instruments in children's musical education is considered. The possibilities of solving the problem of archiving of cultural heritage products and providing them with full access are explored. Modern opportunities of distance education and use of digital technology resources in music education are demonstrated
Проблеми на дигиталното възприемане и съхранение на живото културно наследство в българските християнски религиозни практики
Get PDFСъвременното технологично опосредствяване на възприемането на християнските религиозни практики поставя проблеми на културната интерпретация свързани с реконцептуализирането на участието в църковния живот и принадлежността към традиционните у нас вероизповедания. Непопулярността на културната ценност на документирането и дигитализирането на живото религиозно наследство създава полемика около възможността за фотографиране и видеозаснемане в свещените пространства, за експониране на наблюдавани църковни събития в медиите и директно излъчване от сакралните обекти и по време на създаване на църковно изкуство или практикуване на други религиозни ритуали. Научен интерес заслужават опитите да се балансират етичните, вероизповедни и литургични измерения с туристическите и обществени интереси в съответствие с глобалното развитие на тази дискусия и потенциалните ефекти на устойчивост или нестабилност на възникващите нови традиции.Contemporary technological mediation of the perceiving of Christian religious practices raises new questions of cultural interpretation, related to re-conceptualisation of participation in church life and belonging to Bulgarian traditional confessions. Unpopularity of cultural value of documenting of living religious heritage creates polemics about the opportunity of photographing and filming in sacred spaces, exposing of observed church events in media and direct transmission from sacral sites also during creation of church art and practicing of other religious rituals. Therefore attempts to balance ethnic, confessional and liturgical dimensions with tourist and public interests in accordance to global development of that discussion and potential effects of stability or instability of emerging new traditions, deserve scholarly attention
