    Exploring the connection between women\u27s dual roles, consumption patterns, and family economic welfare

    Purpose — The objective of this study is to examine the impact of women\u27s dual roles on the economic welfare of their families, as well as the extent to which consumption patterns can moderate this effect. Method — This study utilized a quantitative research approach. The target population consisted of housewives residing in Sei Sijenggi Village. A purposive sampling technique was employed to select 110 participants. Data collection involved administering a questionnaire specifically designed for housewives in Sei Sijenggi Village. The collected data were subsequently analyzed using the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) test.Result — The findings indicated a substantial impact of women\u27s dual roles on the economic welfare of their families. Additionally, the study revealed that consumption patterns significantly influence family economic welfare. Furthermore, consumption patterns were found to play a significant moderating role in the relationship between women\u27s dual roles and family economic welfare.Contribution — This research aims to contribute academically by uncovering the precise influence of housewives\u27 dual roles as a benchmark for family economic welfare, emphasizing the significance of housewives\u27 consumption patterns in effectively managing expenditure to attain economic well-being within the family

    Do e-service quality and e-recovery service quality affect e-satisfaction? A study on mobile banking users

    Purpose — This study aims to analyze the roles of e-service quality and e-recovery service quality on e-satisfaction in the mobile banking app.Method — The research method was conducted quantitatively using a descriptive-analytic method and verification analysis. A survey was conducted using a questionnaire instrument with 400 samples of active Indonesian mobile banking users. The collected data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis.Result — This study found that e-service quality and e-recovery service played a significant role in influencing the e-satisfaction of the users, both simultaneously and partially. The role of these two competencies is positive, indicating the progressive impact of e-service quality and e-recovery service quality on the users\u27 e-satisfaction.Contribution — This research makes a significant academic contribution by providing valuable insights into the intricacies of e-service quality and e-recovery service quality concepts and their coherence with customer satisfaction in the context of marketing services, while also offering relevant and updated insights into the mobile banking subsector within the digital business landscape

    Purpose — This study aims to examine the socio-economic impact, customer protection, and ethical compliance of Ar-Rahnu (Islamic pawnbroking) in Malaysia, aligning the system with Maqasid Al-Shariah principles. Through a thorough review of existing literature, it assesses Ar-Rahnu\u27s historical development, growth, accessibility, factors contributing to popularity, and adherence to ethical standards and customer protection measures.Method — The study utilizes a comprehensive literature review and in-depth analysis of Maqasid Al-Shariah principles, evaluating Ar-Rahnu\u27s alignment. Regulatory frameworks and initiatives supporting Islamic finance and Ar-Rahnu in Malaysia are also examined, highlighting the system\u27s growth and prominence beyond traditional banks.Result — The study identifies critical research gaps in Ar-Rahnu and its impact on customers\u27 religious consciousness and financial practices, role in providing financial assistance during emergencies and poverty alleviation, level of financial literacy among customers, gender dynamics, and ethical conduct of operators.Contribution — The paper makes a significant academic contribution through its innovative approach of comprehensively applying the Maqasid Al-Shariah framework to identify research gaps in Ar-Rahnu within the context of Malaysia. By doing so, it offers a unique perspective on the subject. Moreover, the research offers a clear roadmap that can be utilized by policymakers and stakeholders to align Ar-Rahnu with Islamic ethical principles. This alignment has the potential to not only enhance the system\u27s socio-economic impact and customer protection measures but also to promote financial inclusion. Furthermore, by safeguarding the integrity of the system, this approach contributes to the overall robustness of the financial ecosystem

    Balancing cultural shock and economic development: A study of impacts on local culture in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone

    Purpose — This study aims to investigate the dual impacts of cultural shock and economic development in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone on the preservation of local culture. Method — Employing a qualitative approach, this research utilizes in-depth interviews and observations to collect data from residents, tourists, and stakeholders within the Mandalika. The gathered insights provide a comprehensive understanding of the cultural impacts, economic developments, and changes in behavior, lifestyle, and cultural norms.Result — The study reveals a range of positive and negative impacts stemming from the collision of local culture with global influences. Positive effects include the introduction of local culture to the world, economic empowerment through tourism, preservation through education, and increased cultural awareness. Conversely, negative outcomes encompass cultural dilution, excessive commercialization, clashes of values, social imbalances, and shifts in lifestyle. These changes manifest in increased social interactions, adoption of global business ethics, modern lifestyle adoption, shifts in consumption patterns, adjustments to tourist expectations, clothing influences, and more.Contribution — This research contributes to the understanding of the intricate interplay between cultural shock, economic growth, and the preservation of local culture in SEZs. By delineating the positive and negative outcomes, this study informs stakeholders and policymakers about the challenges and opportunities presented by cultural shock. It underscores the necessity for balanced strategies that uphold cultural heritage while harnessing economic benefits in the context of SEZ development

    Determinants of Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure in State-owned Enterprises: Moderating role of government regulation and organizational slack

    Purpose — This study aimed to examine the effects of Green Accounting, Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Financial Performance, and Leverage on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Disclosure, with Government Regulation and Organizational Slack as moderating variables in State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).Method — This research was quantitative, employing hypotheses and statistical tools for analysis. The population in this research is limited to manufacturing companies, specifically in the mining, energy, and oil and gas sectors of State-Owned Enterprises listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample size consisted of 40 companies with an observation period from 2018 to 2022. The research process began with descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing in this study involved multiple regression analysis to incorporate moderating variables (MRA).Result — The results of the study indicated that Green Accounting, Good Corporate Governance, Financial Performance, and leverage variables had an impact on Corporate Social Responsibility, while government regulation and organizational slack did not moderate the relationship between Green Accounting, Good Corporate Governance, Financial Performance, and leverage with Corporate Social Responsibility.Contribution — This study stands out with its unique approach. It focuses on state-owned companies in mining, energy, and oil and gas over five years (2018-2022), including the COVID-19 period, shedding light on its impact on CSR reporting. The study also uses new variables, giving us fresh insights into CSR practices in these industries. In summary, it provides valuable new information about CSR in state-owned enterprises in these sectors

    The development of the era of society 5.0 has changed the way consumers interact and shop through media. Online shopping is a favorite of the community to meet needs. Among college students, online shopping has become a daily habit and necessity. This research focused on the consumptive behavior of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya students with a management perspective and Islamic values. The method used involves collecting qualitative data through observation, interviews, and documentation, with descriptive data analysis, a method used to analyze data by describing or describing the collected data. The results of this study show that UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya students consider online shopping as an informative, stable price, and flexible way to shop. Although from the point of view of management and Islamic values, their behavior tends not to be in accordance with needs because it prioritizes wants.Keywords: Consumer Behavior, Online Shopping, Management, Islamic Values

    This article discusses the shift in the image of robes from Muslim clothing (sacred or religious) to casual clothing (profane or everyday). In the context of this article, the robes produced by Zaafer Indonesia represent a change in the orientation of Indonesian Muslim OOTD from initially tending to be conservative to becoming fashionable and stylish. In this research, clothing is considered a complex sign system. On a piece of clothing, there is a message that the wearer wants to convey. By using the Saussurean semiology paradigm, this article understands that in clothing there is a system of signifiers and signifieds. Clothing is a language (language of fashion) that is built from the language and parole system. The research results show several semiotics in the robes of Zaafer Indonesia products.     The Efficacy of the Presentation, Practice, and Production (PPP) Method on the Speaking Skill of the English Learners Community (ELC) Students

    This research aims to examine the efficacy of the Presentation, Practice and Production (PPP) method in improving the speaking skills of English learners participating in an English club, English Learners Community (ELC) at an Indonesian Junior High School in Palopo, Indonesia. Drawing on a quasi- experimental design involving into two classes; experimental class by using the PPP method and the control class by means of non- PPP method. The data were collected through pre and post of speaking tests and interviews. The statistical evidence showed that the students in the experimental group outperformed their counterparts in the control group, indicating that the PPP method significantly improved the students’ speaking skills which can be seen through independent sample result where the value was 0.000 which lower than 0.05. The interview result also assumed that students felt comfortable and could understand the material well through the application of the PPP method. This research summarized that the use of the PPP method can improve students\u27 speaking skills. This study recommends that future studies can apply the PPP method to improve students\u27 speaking skills in formal or non-formal classe

Perilaku ini sering kali dikaitkan dengan penggunaan media sosial yang dapat dengan mudah diakses oleh kalangan muda mudi saat ini. Perilaku narsistik dapat menjadi masalah ketika orang mementingkan diri sendiri, terlalu mengagumi persetujuan orang lain, dan acuh tak acuh terhadap kepekaan orang lain. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah dengan metode studi literatur. Data yang digunakan pada artikel ini bersumber dari jurnal, artikel ilmiah, hasil penelitian berupa skripsi serta literatur lain yang memuat tentang perilaku narsistik pada remaja. Berdasarkan hasil studi literatur, munculnya perilaku narsistik pada remaja ketika mereka merasa tidak nyaman dan memiliki harga diri yang rendah, sehingga mereka melakukan perilaku narsis untuk mendapatkan kenyamanan dan penghargaan dari orang lain. Narsistik yang terjadi pada remaja muncul ketika mereka merasa tidak nyaman pada diri sendiri, mencari perhatian, kebutuhan untuk dikagumi dan beberapa faktor lain. Jika dibiarkan berlarut-larut, tentu akan membuat individu tidak bahagia dan semakin bingung karena segala macam emosi berkecamuk di dalam dirinya
