Pembelajaran kelas ibu hamil terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang pencegahan anemia dan Kurang Energi Kronis (KEK)
Background: Pathological conditions during pregnancy and until childbirth are important to pay attention to. One form of education is through pregnant women, which is a form of prenatal education that can increase their knowledge, attitude change, and positive behavior of pregnant women about anemia and Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED). Thus, every mother can conduct pregnancy and childbirth examinations for the health workers. The aim was to reduce maternal and child mortality rates.Objectives: This study aimed to measure the effect of pregnant women's class learning on their knowledge and attitudes about anemia and CED prevention. Methods: The study was a quasi-experiment using the one-group pretest-posttest design approach, with a sample size of 55 pregnant women taken randomly. The study was conducted from June to July 2019 at the Banda Mulia Aceh Tamiang Health Center. Data collection of knowledge and attitudes was conducted using direct interview techniques and questionnaire instruments. Statistical analyses were performed using a Dependent T-test with a significance level of 95%.Results: After the intervention, most of the pregnant women had good knowledge (61,8%) and positive attitudes (87,3%). There was an effect of class learning for pregnant women on knowledge (p= 0,042) and attitudes (p= 0,038) regarding the prevention of anemia and chronic energy deficiency (CED).Conclusion: Classroom learning for pregnant women improves their knowledge and attitudes regarding the prevention of anemia and chronic energy deficiency
The effect of busy book media on knowledge level dental and oral health in children
The World Health Organization (WHO) in World Oral Health Day 2020 states that around 90% of the world's population has experienced dental and oral diseases. Among them 78% occur in children or about 573 million children who experience tooth and mouth decay due to lack of maintaining dental and oral health, children who suffer from tooth decay will cause discomfort that interferes with eating and sleeping patterns, causing children to lose concentration and causing disruption of the daily learning process at school. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of busy book media on the level of knowledge of dental and oral health in children who came to RSGM Baiturrahmah. This study used an experimental design with a One Group pre-test-post-test design. Samples were taken using the Slovin formula, obtained as many as 30 students. Data were analyzed using the Wicoxon Signed Ranks Test. Based on the results of data analysis carried out, it shows that there is a significant difference with the test results of 0.001 (p <0.05) in the data before and after being given dental and oral health education using the Busy Book Media. Busy Book on children's knowledge level.
Support in providing adequate nutrition for the length of treatment for patients after bone fracture surgery at the Meuraxa Hospital, Banda Aceh
One of the problems in fulfilling nutrition is the knowledge or belief that consuming excess protein will result in a longer wound-healing process. Meanwhile, nutritional status is essential in fulfilling nutrients for wound healing and length of stay in postoperative fracture clients. The study aims to determine the relationship between the fulfilment of nutritional needs in participants after lower extremity fracture surgery at Meuraxa Hospital, Banda Aceh City. This research design method is correlation analysis with a cross-sectional approach with a non-probability sample technique with a sample of 83 post-surgical bone fracture patients. The calculation method uses the formula for a 10% error rate from the total population of post-fracture inpatients 123 respondents. The research location is Meuraxa Hospital, Banda Aceh, and it was conducted in March 2021. Results, there is a relationship between knowledge about nutritional fulfilment (p= 0,005), eating habits (p= 0,002), and perceptions of dietary restrictions (p= 0,002) with the length of treatment days in patients after bone fracture surgery at Meuraxa Hospital Banda Aceh. In conclusion, nutrition support affects the length of treatment days, where knowledge, habits and abstinence can shorten treatment days
Pengaruh variasi konsentrasi tempe kedelai dan kulit pisang ambon (Musa paradisiaca) terhadap aktivitas antioksidan dan daya terima steak tempe
Background: Tempe contains bioactive compounds in the form of isoflavones, scientifically proven to have antioxidant abilities. In addition, banana peel antioxidants are quite high compared to the fruit flesh. Food products that are high in antioxidants have the potential to reduce various degenerative diseases. The combination of antioxidants from soybean tempeh and Ambon banana peel is expected to be one of the efforts to maintain health by minimizing the risk factors for chronic disease due to hypercholesterolemia.Objective: The study aimed to analyze the effect of varying soy tempeh and Ambon banana peel concentrations on tempeh steak's antioxidant activity and acceptability.Method: Research using design Quasi-Experiment, with one group posttest-only design. This research was conducted in January-March 2023. The research procedure began with making tempeh steak with the formulation of the comparison of soybean tempe: Ambon banana skin, namely F1 (30%: 70%), F2 (40%: 60%), F3 (50%: 50%), F4 (60%:40%). There were 4 experimental groups and 3 repetitions. Then, the antioxidant test was carried out using the DPPH method at the Jember State Polytechnic Bioscience Laboratory. The data was analyzed using this method by Kruskal Wallis. Acceptance test was carried out on 30 untrained panelists using the hedonic method at the Integrated Laboratory of FKM University of Jember and data analysis using the test Friedman, at a significance level of 95% CI.Results: The results of the antioxidant activity test showed no significant difference in the average antioxidant activity of tempeh steak (p= 0,951). The average results of antioxidant activity were F1 (70,61%), F2 (71.77%,) F3 (70,64%), F4 (71,44%). Acceptability test results showed significant differences in terms of aroma (p= 0,004), taste (p= 0,026), and overall (p= 0,004), but not significantly different in terms of color (p= 0,055) and texture (p= 0,157). The most preferred experimental group is F4[A2] (p= 0,004).Conclusion: The content of soy tempeh and Ambon banana skin contribute to each other in increasing the percentage of antioxidant inhibition so that it affects the increase in the antioxidant activity of tempeh steak. The higher the concentration of soy tempeh used, the higher the level of preference for the acceptance of tempeh steak. The product recommended in this study was the F4 sample with an average antioxidant activity yield of 71,44%, and the panelists preferred the F4 sample
Edukasi gizi menggunakan media cakram dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita tentang kunjungan ke Posyandu
Background: One of the factors causing mothers' low number of visits to Integrated Healthcare (in Indonesia called Posyandu) is the lack of knowledge about Integrated Healthcare (IHC) visits, which impacts not detecting the nutritional status of children under five. Knowledge of mothers of toddlers is very important to improve the health of toddlers so that they can direct mothers to behave positively when visiting IHC.Objectives: The research aims to increase the knowledge of mothers of toddlers aged 24-59 months about visiting IHC using disc media at the Sawah Lebar Health Center, Bengkulu. Methods: Quantitative research using the Quasy experimental design was carried out at the Sawah Lebar Bengkulu Health Center from March to April 2023. The subjects involved were 40 mothers who were divided into two groups. The intervention used disc media and leaflet media with a Visit to IHC theme. Data was collected by interview using a ten-question questionnaire during the pre-test and post-test. The data obtained was tested using the Dependent T-test and Independent T-test parameters at a 95% confidence interval. Results: The difference in knowledge scores before and after being given education using disc media was 29,00. Meanwhile, education using leaflets obtained a difference in the average knowledge value of 21,50. There was an effect of nutritional education using disc media (p= 0,000) and leaflet media (p= 0,000) on increasing the knowledge of mothers of toddlers about visiting IHC. Conclusion: Nutrition education using disc media and leaflet media influences increasing the knowledge of mothers of toddlers about visiting IHC at the Sawah Lebar Bengkulu Health Center
Perbedaan kadar oksigen serebral (RSO2) pada penggunaan sevofluran dan isofluran sebagai anestesi inhalasi dengan pengukuran Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) pada pasien laparatomi
Background: Changes in cerebral oxygen are due to the effect of inhalation anesthesia on cerebral blood flow, which can reduce cerebral oxygenation if cerebral blood flow decreases. This study aims to analyze the difference in cerebral oxygen levels in sevoflurane compared to isoflurane as an inhalation anesthetic.Objective: The study aims to analyze the difference in cerebral oxygen levels in using sevoflurane versus isoflurane as an inhalation anesthetic.Methods: This study is a double blind Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial. This study was conducted at Haji Adam Malik Hospital Medan. This study was conducted in August 2022. The research sample was patients with Laparotomy surgery at the Haji Adam Malik Medan Central General Hospital who met the research criteria. The number of subjects who met the inclusion criteria was 26 patients, with 13 patients in the group receiving sevoflurane and 13 patients receiving isoflurane. Data to be collected were analyzed with statistic-independent T-test and Mann-Whitney.Results: Of the 26 patients 13 patients in the group received sevoflurane, and 13 patients in the group received isoflurane. Furthermore, the two groups were randomized to obtain a balanced group of 13 patients per group. In this study, it was found that the cerebral saturation value of rSO2 in the sevoflurane group before induction (T) compared to 5 minutes after induction (T1) or after surgery (T2) showed no statistically significant difference, while the cerebral saturation value of rSO2 in the isoflurane group there was a significant change in rSO2 value (p<0,05) before induction (T) compared to 5 minutes after induction (T1) or after surgery (T2). In this study, it was found that the comparison of the rSO2 values of the sevoflurane and isoflurane groups showed significant differences at the time of examination of the rSO2 value 5 minutes after induction (T1) and after surgery (T2).Conclusion: The role of sevoflurane as an inhalation drug in Laparotomy surgery is more to maintain cerebral oxygenation than isoflurane, as indicated by the rSO2 value on NIRS, which does not have a significant decrease for surgery
The effect of giving moringa tempeh flour on hemoglobin levels and body weight of Wistar Rats
Background: Tempeh is a fermented product that has earned the nickname "the miracle food" because of its nutritional content, especially amino acids and fatty acids, which are good for health. Moringa leaves, which are also called "the miracle leaves," have complete nutritional content, especially iron, and vitamin C. Vitamin C plays a significant role in the absorption and metabolism of ironObjectives: Was to increase absorption of iron, which can increase hemoglobin blood and body weight of ratsMethods: There were 4 groups, each consisting of 6 rats. The rats were kept in animal laboratories at room temperature (25–27°C) for 21 days. This research was conducted from 7 to 27 October 2020 in the Pharmacology Laboratory of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang. This study used a Completely Randomized Design, used 24 Rattus norvegicus with treatment conditioned with anemia. The four groups were divided into control anemia rats, control non-anemia rats, anemia rats that consumed tempeh, and anemia rats that consumed tempeh with moringa leaves of 4%. The rats body weight was weighed daily and the blood Hb was taken at the end of the treatment. Statistical test used One-way Analysis of Variance (α = 0,01).Results: The results of statistical tests with ANOVA show not significant influence. The results of the hemoglobin and body weight rats had no significant effect.Conclusion: The value was not significant between groups in the hemoglobin assessment, but the treatment group that was given moringa leaves tempeh was higher than the anemia control group and the pure tempeh group
Program pemberantasan sarang nyamuk (PSN) 3M plus dengan gerakan satu rumah satu jumantik di Kecamatan Ingin Jaya Aceh Besar
Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) masih menjadi salah satu penyakit yang endemis dimasyarakat, upaya memotivasi masyarakat untuk melaksanakan 3M Plus terus dilakukan pemerintah melalui kerjasama lintas program dan lintas sektor termasuk tokoh masyarakat dan swasta. Musim hujan, adanya tampungan air dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam memperhatikan jentik nyamuk menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab terjadinya DBD. Tujuan kegiatan adalah mengimplementasikan program PSN 3M Plus serta membentuk gerakan satu rumah satu jumantik. Sasasaran adalah ibu rumah tangga dan remaja putri di Desa Dham Pulo kecamatan Ingin Jaya Kabupaten Aceh Besar sejumlah 112 rumah. Kegiatan dilakukan mulai bulan Juni hingga September 2021. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan survey keberadaan jentik, penyuluhan, PSN, dan evaluasi. Hasil survey lanjutan didapatkan indeks ABJ 88% indeks ini masih dibawah targat bebas jentik, nilai HI= 11 dan CI= 13,6 dengan tingkat kepadatan sedang. Dari hasil evaluasi diketahui ada peningkatan tingkat kebersihan lingkungan rumah setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan penetapan penanggung jawab jumantik disetiap rumah. Perlu dilakukan observasi secara berulang untuk mengetahui tingkat kepatuhan masyarakat tetap konsisten dalam memantau keberadaan jentik di lingkungan rumahnya sehingga angka bebas jentik tercapai
Kejadian anemia, pola menstrual bleeding dan status nutrisi pada siswi di SMAN 3 Salahutu, Maluku Tengah
Background: Anemia is a nutritional problem with a high incidence. Anemia is characterized by decreased hemoglobin (Hb) levels below normal. Adolescents are one of the groups at high risk of anemia because they experience menstrual cycles every month. Irregular menstrual bleeding patterns and nutrition can also be risk factors for anemia. Prevention of anemia is necessary to reduce the risk of anemia.Objectives: To determine the incidence of anemia, menstrual bleeding patterns, and nutritional status in female students at Salahutu Senior High School, Central Maluku.Methods: The study was descriptive and observational with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted in October-December 2022 at Senior High School 3 Salahutu, Central Maluku. The number of subjects was 142, who met the inclusion criteria with an age range from 14 to 19 years. The research variables consisted of checking Hb levels using digital hb, and anthropometric measurements, namely BMI, and filling out questionnaires. Data analysis in this study used the Chi-square test at the 95% significance level.Results: The results showed that the number of age categories 16 years with the highest number of subjects, 35,9%, and underweight IMT category as much as 59,2%. The results of the anemia hemoglobin examination were 7,7%. The age of menarche is mainly at the age of 13 years 34,5%, and based on the length of menstruation, 3-5 days as much as 66,9% and 5-7 days as much as 29,6% with a menstrual cycle of 21-28 days as much as 59,9%. There was no relationship between nutritional status and duration of menstruation (p = 0,648) and Hb levels (p = 0,552). There is a relationship between nutritional status and menstrual cycle (p = 0,020).Conclusion: There is no relationship between nutritional status and duration of menstruation and Hb levels, but there is a relationship between nutritional status and menstrual cycle.
Perbedaan jumlah kuman pada peralatan makan antara pencucian melalui perendaman dan air mengalir di Lampenerut Aceh Besar
Background: food contamination can be caused by various factors, including personal hygiene, food handler knowledge, food sanitation, and the cleanliness of cutlery. A microbiological examination that can be done is a swab of cooking utensils and cutlery, including a germ count examination. Germ found in cutlery will pose a health risk to consumers.Objectives: the purpose of this study was to determine the number of bacterial colonies found on cutlery between soaking washing and flowing water, using the TPC (Total Plate Count) method.Methods: observational research using a cross-sectional design. This type of research is observational with a descriptive design. This research was conducted in Lampenerut Aceh Besar in June 2022. This study used the total plate count method with data analyzed univariately and presented in tabular form. Statistical analysis using Independent T-test, the number of samples taken was 20 samples.Results: soaking washing found germs in all cutlery samples, with the highest number being 24 CFU/cm2. Flowing washing obtained 6 samples with a germ number of 0 CFU/cm2 in accordance with the regulation Permenkes RI No.1096 of 2011, while 14 samples contained germ with the highest number of 17 CFU/cm2. There is a difference in the number of germ in soaking washing and flowing water washing (p=0,000) on cutlery in Lampenerut Aceh Besar.Conclusion: the number of germs on cutlery washed with flowing water is lower than the number of germs in immersion washing. Trader and the public are advised to use the process of washing cutlery using flowing water, because it is proven to be more effective in reducing the number of germs.
