    Analyzing the natural elements of Emily Dickinson’s selected poems using eco-feminist criticism

During her time, Dickinson was unrecognized as a great female poet. Throughout her lifetime less than a dozen of her almost eighteen hundred poems were published. The work that was available at that time was usually misrepresented by the publishers to fit the conservative poetic rules of the time. Dickinson's poems are exceptional because most of the poems in which she wrote they include short lines, usually lack titles, and often use lean rhyme as well as unusual capitalization and punctuation. Dickinson’s most of the poems deal with the theme of death and immortality but at that time she also wrote many different types of poems which are about love, Nature which also play a significant role in her poems. Nature provides subject matter and metaphors in Emily Dickinson’s poetry. Dickinson’s poems are famous for her consideration of death. She is often associated with death, depression and mourning. That is why readers have a morbid image of her. This image is emphasized by her private reclusive life. However, there are many poems of her which are bright and colorful speaking of love and nature. These poems often use images and metaphors from the natural world that is the animal and plant kingdom. Nature plays a very important role in Dickinson’s poetry. She always considers herself as a very lonely poet and her poetry is filled with emotional, psychological, symbolic, physical, and pragmatist facets. An important characteristic of her poems is her association with the world of nature. In her life, she spends most of her time thinking about the mysteries of nature. For that reason, her poems bear immeasurable resonances of nature.     Understanding the effect of exposure of human pathogens to polluted surface water: Vibrio cholerae as a model organism

This eventually increases the risk of humans getting infected during accidental ingestion or contact. The purpose of the study was to detect the presence of Vibrio cholerae in water bodies contaminated with industrial pollutants. For this purpose Hatirjheel Lake and Buriganga River, the two prominent water bodies of our country were chosen for sampling. A total of 40 samples were collected aseptically from Hatirjheel Lake and 20 samples from Buriganga River within duration of three months. Then, they were processed for isolation of culturable Vibrio cholerae. After that several biochemical tests were done for presumptive identification of isolates. For further confirmation, RT-PCR was done targeting CqsS gene. While many isolates were found to be positive with biochemical tests, after RT-PCR only 5% of samples from both water bodies gave positive result. Further, three strains from both water bodies were tested for survival potential under starvation stress. The survival patterns between the lake and river showed slight difference but both showed a gradual decrease in culturable count over the time. Next, the strains from those water bodies were checked for their susceptibility to an array of eight antibiotics. The antibiogram revealed that isolates from Hatirjheel showed complete resistance to tetracycline, ampicillin, ceftriaxone while the Buriganga isolates showed complete resistance to only ampicillin, tetracycline, nalidixic acid, co-trimethoprim and ceftriaxone. While no conclusion could be drawn on the actual presence of Vibrio cholerae in Hatirjheel or Buriganga, isolation of this organism from heavily polluted water bodies could be difficult.Syeda Sumaiya IslamB. This study aimed at isolating, identifying, and investigating enzyme activity and temperature tolerance of bacterial isolates collected from spoilt tomatoes of different markets of Dhaka city, Bangladesh. Six samples (1gm) of spoilt tomatoes collected with sterile knife and mixed with 5ml of saline and then cultured on various selective media. Identification of bacteria was done through conventional biochemical tests according to Bergey’s Manual of Sysmetic Bacteriology. Temperature tolerance at temperatures (4oC, 25oC and 60oC) of isolated bacteria were observed. Cellulose hydrolysis test was also performed using CMC Agar. A total of about 46 bacterial isolates were identified where Vibrio spp showed the highest prevalence 9 (19.56%), followed by E.coli 8 (17.39%), Klebsiella spp 7 (15.22%), Salmonella spp. 6 (13.04%), Bacillus spp. 6 (13.04%), Shigella spp 5 (10.87%), Staphylococcus spp. 3(6.52%) and Enterobacter spp. 2(4.65%). Temperature tolerance of bacterial isolates showed that all of the isolates were mesophiles and could not grow at temperatures of 4oC and 60oC. Cellulose hydrolysis test revealed that Klebsiella spp, Shigella spp, and Salmonella spp were able to hydrolyse cellulose. However, E.coli, Vibrio spp, and Bacillus spp, were not able to hydrolyse cellulose. Analysis and prediction of network traffic has become a priority in day to day planning in social, economic and more widespread set of areas. With a vision to further contribute to this vast field of research, we propose an approach to forecast level of traffic congestion on the basis of a time series analysis of collected data using machine learning. Moreover, the proposed approach allows us to find a correlation between varying parameter of weather and level of traffic congestion. Traffic data collected from Uber Movement for the city of Mumbai, India was fed to multiple of pre assessed machine learning algorithm. We have then analyzed the results of the different machine learning algorithms and see which algorithm efficiently provides us with the optimum accuracy of the prediction which is 85%. Thus, in this study, we attempt to find new knowledge between traffic congestion and weather by using big data processing technology. Changes in traffic congestion due to the weather is evaluated to create a long term prediction model and forecast traffic congestion on a daily basis. The definitions and properties of some of the common generalized inverse matrices are described, including methods for constructing them. A number of applications are discussed, including their use in solving consistent systems of linear equations which do not have the same number of equations as variables, or which have a singular coefficient determinant. A certain type of generalized inverse is shown to give the least‐squares solution of an inconsistent system of linear equations. Other applications are to systems of nonlinear equations, to integer solutions of systems of equations and to linear programming. The purpose of the thesis is to show that a singular or × matrix has a generalized inverse (g-inverse). A matrix − is said to be a generalized inverse if it fulfils the condition −=. The raw canonical system is used to find the generalized inverse. So we will be using theorems, examples and programming language to prove and solve G-inverse. Initially ZIKV was not considered a dangerous flavivirus as the infections were asymptomatic with only mild complications. But, it became a grave public health concern, when a strong association of ZIKV was proven with various neurological disorders, like for children it was found to cause hereditary deformities and for adults it resulted in Guillain-Barre syndrome. Since then researches and developers are conducting various studies to gain knowledge about the virus for development of safe and effective therapeutic strategy. Considering all ZIKV transmission methods, the transfer of ZIKV from infected pregnant mother to fetus have positioned licensing of an effective vaccination against ZIKV at forefront. Even if there is no approved vaccination yet, various platforms are working with many types of vaccination strategies are progressing at a high rate. Currently, there are many possible candidates in the pipeline of ZIKV vaccines. DNA vaccine candidates has progressed to clinical phase II studies and many vaccine types including mRNA, PIV, LAV, vectored vaccines are exhibiting promising data in both preclinical and clinical studies. Nevertheless, there is still many knowledge gap and challenges which are needed to overcome in the coming years for the successful licensure of ZIKV vaccines.     Image encryption and decryption using computer generated holography

This interference pattern is then used in a 3D holographic display to view the holographic representation of the object. This is done by passing the same reference light through the interference pattern fringe in the 3D display. Computer Generated Holography (CGH) is a simulation technique to generate the same interference pattern without the object being present. Usually this is done by taking an image or a 3D representation of the object and using numerical techniques to simulate the interference pattern of the light field. CGH has many applications and one of them is image encryption and decryption. This paper describes how to generate a CGH of an image, how to overcome the general problems, namely the image overlapping problem during the reconstruction of the image from the interference pattern and how to encrypt an image and then decrypt it using the properties and principles of CGH.Md.     Evaluation of wound healing using a combination therapy of NSAID and an antioxidant on mice model

When the protective barrier of skin breaks we can define it as a wound. Wounds need to be healed very fast in order to restore body’s normal defence mechanism. For healing purpose different cell types and multiple steps are involved. Wound healing mechanism contains three main phases which are inflammation phase, proliferation phase and regeneration phase. In inflammation phase macrophage and neutrophils works, in proliferation phase, several growth factors like TGF (Transforming Growth Factor)-beta1, EGF (Epithelial Growth Factor), VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) etc and finally in regeneration, reconstitution of skin occurs. There are several drugs used for wound healing but all those need a longer time period for wound recovery. Along with that they have several side effects too. To minimize these side effects and to make the wound healing faster we came up with a combination therapy. We have used mice models for this experiment. Wound was created on the back of the mice and medicines were administered intraperitoneally (IP). There were four groups of mice. One group is treated only with saline, another one with Diclofenac-Na, next one with the antioxidant Vitamin C and last one with a combination therapy of Diclofenac-Na and Vitamin C. For determining the effect on inflammation phase did WBC counting, for proliferation we did quantification of VEGF and for regeneration we measured wound closure and weight of skin. The result of the study shows that for WBC counting the combination therapy has shown the most effective value. In quantitative analysis of VEGF also the combination therapy has shown better result than the monotherapies. But in this test, Vitamin C has shown better result than Diclofenac-Na and the concentration of VEGF was higher in earlier stage on day 2, 4 and 7. Finally, for regeneration phase we have measured the wound closure. In this case also combination therapy showed most effective result. Healing rate was faster on day 7 and 9. For regeneration, we did weight variation test. In that case also combination has shown better result amongst all. From all these results it has come to a conclusion that combination therapy has shown better result in wound healing. So, we can consider this combination therapy as an alternative medication for wound healing although this needs further investigation.Raisa Prapti BiswasB. Pharmac

    3D Visualization of 2D/360° image and navigation in virtual reality through motion processing via smart phone sensors

We proposed an approach for creating stereogram from computer generated depth map using approximation algorithm and later use these stereo pairs for giving a complete experience on VR along with forward and backward navigation using mobile sensors. Firstly the image is being segmented into two images from which we generated our disparity map and afterwards generate the depth image from it. After the creation of the depth image, stereo pair which is the left and right image for the eyes were created. Acquired image from the previous process then handled by Cardboard SDK for VR support used in the Android devices using Google Cardboard headset. With the VR image in the stereoscopic device, we use the accelerometer sensor of the device to determine the movement of the device while head mounted. Unlike the other VR navigation systems offered (HTC Vibe, Oculus) using external sensors, our approach is to use the built-in sensors for motion processing. Using the accelerometer reading from the movement, the user will be able to move around virtually in the constructed image.
