ShopUp: transforming business through product optimization

Through ShopUp sellers can sell more by taking advantage of ShopUp’s store management feature where merchants can manage and track their inventory, process and create orders for the buyers ("ShopUp - One stop solution for Facebook Shops.", 2018). In addition to store management, ShopUp application also includes delivery services, Facebook boosting and loans to expand the business where the users can apply from home with minimal paperwork ("ShopUp - One stop solution for Facebook Shops.", 2018).
ShopUp currently caters to over 2500+ stores in Facebook. As the number keeps increasing every day, users have difficulties taking advantage of the entire ShopUp platform through cellular devices as the application was primary built for desktop or laptop computers. Because of the recent surge in cheaper smartphones in Bangladesh, mobile phone users increased from 128.3 million in January 2016 to 150.4 million in April 2018 according to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission ("Mobile Phone Subscribers in Bangladesh April, 2018. | BTRC", 2018). Not only that, the existing users having difficulties using the platform when there are not at home or do not have access to a laptop. According to the supervisor of customer support of ShopUp, based on the user feedback, active users are having problem using and accessing the application though their smart phones when they do not have access to the computer. Not only that features like ‘upload product’ for buyers does not work without the internet, that is the entire software is completely depended on having an internet connection which is sometimes very difficult for users when they are in remote locations with telecommunication coverage difficulties.
Considering the issues mentioned above, ShopUp plans to address these by optimizing the software to a mobile friendly platform though which the seller can take advantage of the entire ShopUp features to perform their daily operations. This research paper studies the viability of moving the software from a desktop platform to a mobile platform through product optimization and extension. The research will emphasize and find the problems associated with the current version of the ShopUp software used by the user, so that the problems in the desktop software will not be carried forward to the mobile version of the software. In addition to that, we will also find to add more features which are essential for the users to perform their day to day operations easily. Such as, business analytics, where the user can see their growth in sales

I was assigned to work with the Resourcing (Recruitment) unit of the HR division. This has been the very first step of mine to the corporate world. I have tried to reflect my learning through this report. I was assigned to conduct the ongoing HR works like calling candidates for interviews, assisting in invigilating the written exams for candidates, maintaining personnel files of new joiners and all intern related works.
I have talked about the overview of the organization, their mission, vision, hierarchical structure and organ gram of my group. Amid my internship period I found that Robi is exceptionally all around organized and they take after the guidelines and control legitimately. This report is a brief outline of the association, working society and my commitment towards the HR department as well as many challenges and constraints I faced while working here during my three months internship program. For decades, Bangladesh has a large
domestic market for milk products which was largely met through importation of subsidized
milk, powder milk and milk products form developed countries. During 1989-90, Bangladesh
imported milk and milk products worth 400 million taka to meet a short fall of 40 percent of
domestic demand. Bangladesh milk sector is failed to provide sufficient supply for liquid milk.
To minimize this shortage government has taken some steps such as urgent meet up through
imported powder milk and try to develop dairy farms to the private entrepreneurs’ levels. Only
local dairy farm could not provide sufficient supply of liquid milk according to consumers
demand.
To fill up this gap there are a lot of companies launch in Bangladesh to sell milk powder product.
One of them is DANO which is a familiar word for each household in rural and urban area in
Bangladesh. Mutual Group is primarily a 'Toll Manufacturing & Distribution company' with the
legacy of establishing two global brands, 'Horlicks' and 'Dano', as the household name in
Bangladesh. It separated from Mutual Group and created a joint venture with Arla Foods amba in

It focuses on the students’ and teachers’ attitudes regarding the effectiveness of pair work activities in classroom settings and investigates to what extend it is proved to be effective for the students. It also finds out the difficulties to implement pair work which may hinder the success of language learning. Survey questionnaires and observation checklist are employed as the instruments for data collection procedure. From the findings, it is identified that majority of the students consider pair work activities as effective technique which enables them to learn by sharing knowledge. Moreover, majority of the teachers recommend pair work activities for its enormous benefits though certain challenges encounter to implement the activity successfully. Molecular and phenotypic investigations of enzyme mediated resistance profiles against aminoglycoside antibiotics in gram-negative clinical isolates in Dhaka, Bangladesh
No full textThis thesis report is submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirement for the degree of Master of Science in Biotechnology, 2018.Catalogued from PDF version of thesis report.Includes bibliographical references (pages 114-122).In recent decades, focus has shifted from notorious Gram-positive pathogens to Gram-negative threats, the majority of which comprise members of the Enterobacteriaceae and Pseudomonadaceae families. These, often commensal bacteria, co-inhabit our environment and within us, however have the propensity to develop opportunistic infections in immunocompromised individuals, especially in intensive care units (ICUs) of hospitals. Aminoglycoside antibiotics are often reserved for severe bacterial infections. Therefore, we conducted surveillance on their resistance phenotypes by antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) and have found a total of 83.3% of strains to be multidrug resistant (MDR) forms. Among a range of clinical isolates as collected from three major hospitals in Dhaka, ETEC; Klebsiella pneumoniae; Pantoea agglomerans; Pseudomonas spp. and Aeromonas spp. were interrogated against five commercially popular aminoglycoside antibiotics, finding phenotypic resistance towards streptomycin (50%); tobramycin (50%); gentamicin (44.4%); amikacin (33.3%), and netilmicin (28%). Molecular methods were then employed, where three aminoglycoside resistance enzyme (AME) encoding genes were prominent: aac(6’)-Ib (27.8%), aac(3’)-II (16.7%) and ant(3”)-Ia (5.6%) among a total of seven genes investigated. Phylogenetic analysis revealed these genes had previous origins in Australia, France and China respectively. These comprised identifical clones which have dispersed world-wide, demonstrating the high possibility for dissemination via horizontal gene transfer using mobile genetic elements. We therefore recommend sparse, cycled use of these drugs in pragmatic combinations with other antibiotic classes for synergistic effects, and report the greatest efficacy remaining towards amikacin and netilmicin amongstthe aminoglycosides.Saad Hassan HasibM. Monitoring status of public procurement by IMED and compliance issues of PPA-2006 and PPR-2008

competition are essential to be ensured in the procurement using public funds. In Bangladesh,
these could not be ensured earlier due to a lack of proper rules and regulation. To streamline
the public procurement activities, the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh
has enacted Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2006 and thereafter issued Public Procurement
Rules (PPR) 2008. Since then government agencies are bound to abide by the Act and Rules
very strictly in their procurement activities. The Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU)
of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) is continually monitoring
the compliance of PPA 2006 and PPR 2008 by the target agencies in the light of 45
predetermined Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on limited or some selected projects.
IMED is the apex body of Monitoring and Evaluation of Government Development Project. It
is generally said that a total of 80% of ADP allocation are spent for procurement of goods,
works and services which are administered by PPR 2008. Thus, it seems to be more focus
on public procurement KPI’s during monitoring of development projects by IMED.
The research has been designed under monitoring and evaluation report prepared by
IMED. In that report public procurement monitoring KPI’s are used or not; and if not,
then what is the causes behind.
The main objectives of this study is to find out the monitoring Status of Public Procurement on
the compliance issues PPA-2006 and PPR-2008 by IMED that will help to ensure transparent and
efficient procurement of public sector project.
The related literatures and reports, particularly from IMED, have been thoroughly reviewed
before conducting the main research work. A questionnaire survey and key informant
interviews have been conducted to get the perceptions of IMED officers.
The majors findings of this study is that monitoring of public procurement by IMED and
Compliance Issues of PPA-2006 and PPR-2008 during monitoring and evaluation of
development projects is very poor. Only 18% monitoring/evaluation report focused on public
procurement monitoring KPI’s. That is 82 percent projects are not yet monitored or evaluated
using public procurement monitoring KPI’s. On the other hand major development
ministry/Divisions projects are not yet monitor or evaluate focusing public procurement
monitoring KPI’s. Though public procurement monitoring is very important during monitoring
of any development projects but it is still neglected or not yet focused. The major causes of that
IMED officials are not aware of the importance monitoring KPI’s. Also IMED officials have no
sufficient training and practical knowledge on PPA-2006 and PPR-2008 for their monitoring
purpose. So, IMED need to identify that what area should be more emphasized to ensure
