Performance analysis of cognitive unmanned aerial vehicle
This thesis is submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2019.Cataloged from PDF version of thesis.Includes bibliographical references( pages 33-36).The traditional spectrum sensing by cognitive radio sometimes decreases as to the effects of fading and shadowing. Besides, Cognitive radio (CR) based unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) will provide a higher data transmission without severely being affected by the multipath fading and shadowing. In this paper our goal is to maximize the energy efficiency and throughput by minimizing the power consumption of the UAV. We have designed an analytical model where we worked on the air to ground and ground to ground channel gain. For this paper we also have just considered the downlink communication between the UAV and the ground objects. For improving the energy efficiency of the UAV transmission power is reduced and it is done by two mathematical approaches. Firstly, with the Lambert W function we find the optimal transmission power that is later used to increase the energy efficiency. Secondly, two multi-objective optimization problem (MOP) is introduced and with Lagrangian approach we solve the MOPs to find the maximum power transmitted which is to be used for increasing energy efficiency.Ashiqur Rahman RahulMd. Infrared thermography based performance analysis of photovoltaic modules
This thesis is submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2019.Cataloged from PDF version of thesis.Includes bibliographical references( pages 45-46).Interest on generating power from photovoltaic (PV) system is increasing day by day. Power generation from such systems is affected by some factors that can be detected in early stage through proper monitoring. Infrared (IR) thermography is a well-known non-destructive technique which can detect localized heating and quantify hotspot area. In this study active thermography has been applied to detect possible anomalies based on the prediction of visual inspection data along with establishing a relation between temperature dependence on possible performance degradation. Then hotspot been detected using python and openCV and area of the hotspot calculated. One of the main findings is that PV modules have some post manufacturing defects which is visually observable. Junction box creates heat that may impact on the module performance. Also difference between hotspot point temperature and the ambient temperature is found increase linearly with respect to module performance degradation. And the hotspot is mostly generated in the gridlines and more area of defect doesn’t result in more performance degradation.Moyukh AminGalib HasanSukanya DewanIsfar AhmedB. Merchandising issues associated with product pricing in JMS design
This internship report is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration, 2019.Cataloged from PDF version of internship report.Includes bibliographical references (page 25).The ready-made garments (RMG) sector of Bangladesh has got a greater success than any other sector in terms of growth and foreign exchange earnings. Bangladesh is currently leading the second position in worlds apparel industry. The merchandising department is the most important part of an export oriented readymade garments. The merchandiser has the ultimate responsibility to deal with buyers and suppliers. His job starts before taking an order and it lasts until the order is completed. Through this project work I have tried to show the workflow of a merchandiser and illustrate his responsibilities towards different parties such as buyers, suppliers and internal departments. Setting the product price and negotiating with buyers is one of the most important jobs of a merchandiser. Therefore, he needs to face many challenges because too high price may prevent buyers from ordering whereas lower demand can be a loss project for the company. Here, in JMS Design, they followed the traditional costing method to set the price and allocate the overheads. But during reviewing few related literatures, I get to know that the companies those who deals with multiple product lines, should follow the activity-based costing. Otherwise, small batches production will underestimate the per unit overhead cost and large batches production will show the overestimated one. I have proved this statement with an example math. This research work also focuses on the cost volume profit analysis where I have calculated the breakeven point for JMS Design. At the end of this project work, I have tried to find out the factors those are responsible for attracting foreign buyers. Rather than having cheap labor price Bangladesh is blessed with other resources such as raw materials, skilled labor force, duty free entry access, technology adoption etc. In short, I can say this report will provide an overall knowledge regarding the merchandising works and also their costing methods.NahiduzzamanB.
