The congregation began as Western Hills Baptist Church in Magna, and in 1982 moved to rented space in West Valley City, to 4880 W. 4100 South in 1985. A new church building was constructed a few blocks east on 4100 South, and the congregation moved in in September of 2007

That housed the worship services until 1986, when a new church building was erected. The old building became a parish hall. After a new parish hall was raised in 2000, the original building was converted into Sunday School classrooms
