Full text linkThe article briefly introduces US American politician, politician, lawyer Antanas Olis (1898-1958) and publishes two of his speeches to American Lithuanians: May 21st, 1949 speech at the inaugural congress of the American Lithuanian National Union (ALTS), and the last speech by Antanas Olis, broadcast on “Margutis” radio in the occasion of February 16th in 1958. Olis’s words are distinguished by tolerance, liberalism, and the promotion of the fundamental principles of freedom. Some of the problems raised by Olis nearly seventy years ago are still relevant today: how to stay a Lithuanian in a foreign land and not dissolve into a sea of strangers, how to entice young people to Lithuanian community activities, how to communicate between generations and interests, how to find balance between being a Lithuanian and a citizen of another country.Straipsnyje trumpai pristatomas JAV lietuvių visuomenininkas, politikos veikėjas, advokatas Antanas Olis (1898–1958) ir publikuojamos jo 1949 ir 1958 m. No full textThe Bologna process in Belarus has brought new challenges to Higher Education (HE) institutions in the country. HE sector in Belarus has been undergoing the transformational process from the traditional to new modes of learning. This article presents the survey data of Erasmus + KA2 programme project “Fostering Competencies Development in Belarusian Higher Education – FOSTERC” on the issue of learning modes in Belarusian HE and student learning outcomes. It also discusses the possibilities of encouraging competency-based education in Belarus by fostering mobility of HE teachers and HE students and HE graduates internships.Šiame straipsnyje yra aptariami iššūkiai, su kuriais susiduria Baltarusijos aukštasis mokslas, nuo 2015 m. siekdamas įgyvendinti Bolonijos proceso principus šalyje. Baltarusijos aukštojo mokslo sritis, pereinant nuo tradicinių prie Europos aukštojo mokslo erdvėje (EHEA) jau taikomų mokymo(si) būdų, išgyvena transformacijos laikotarpį.
Straipsnyje yra pristatomas Baltarusijos aukštojo mokslo srityje taikomų mokymo(si) būdų tyrimas, atliktas įgyvendinant Erasmus+ KA2 programos projektą „Kompetencijų tobulinimo skatinimas Baltarusijos aukštosiose mokyklose“ (FOSTERC). Straipsnyje yra aptariamos galimybės, kaip skatinti kompetencijomis grįsto mokymo(si) praktikų kūrimą Baltarusijos aukštojo mokslo srityje, taikant dėstytojų, studentų, aukštųjų mokyklų absolventų tarptautinio mobilumo bei mokymo(si) visą gyvenimą priemones

Full text linkEffective socialization of new employees enables the organization to achieve its goals more effectively, increase employee commitment and reduce employee turnover. The article aims to determine what factors influence the socialization of newcomers. For this purpose, the article analyzes the case of socialization of new employees of organizations operating in the Baltic States. The results of the study showed that both the factors of institutionalized socialization and the proactivity of the employee himself are important for smooth socialization. The empirical model of socialization of new employees was developed on the basis of the research results.Veiksminga naujų darbuotojų socializacija leidžia organizacijai efektyviau siekti tikslų, padidinti darbuotojų įsipareigojimą bei sumažinti darbuotojų kaitą. Straipsnyje siekiama nustatyti, kokie veiksniai turi reikšmingiausios įtakos naujų darbuotojų socializacijai. Šiuo tikslu anketinės apklausos pagrindu straipsnyje analizuojamas Baltijos šalyse veikiančių organizacijų naujokų socializacijos atvejis. Tyrimo rezultatai parodė, kad sklandžiai socializacijai įgyvendinti svarbūs tiek institucionalizuotos socializacijos veiksniai, tiek paties darbuotojo proaktyvumas. Full text linkFamily policy in Lithuania is related to the EU welfare goals and aspirations is quite young, with many contradictions, innovations, changes in family and child welfare. The efforts of the Ministry of Social Security and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania alone, the projects being implemented and the work done indicate a straight line, but we are not seeing any significant changes either in Lithuania or in the municipalities. What hinders the movement, the mechanism of this mechanism, which is ineffective in the system? I will explain this at municipal level, the smallest administrative unit.Šeimos politika Lietuvoje sietina su ES gerovės kūrimo tikslais ir siekiais yra ganėtinai jauna, sulaukianti daug prieštaravimų, naujovių, pasikeitimų šeimos ir vaiko gerovės srityje. Vien Lietuvos Respublikos socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministerijos pastangos, vykdomi projektai, nuveikti darbai rodo, kad einama teisingu keliu, tačiau trūksta pastebimų pokyčių ir Lietuvoje, ir savivaldybėse. Te article analyses the issue of the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union in the public space of the Klaipėda region in 1923–1926, based on the periodicals “Klaipėdos sargas” and “Klaipėdos garsas” published by the Riflemen’s Union in Klaipėda. Qualitative analysis of the content distinguishes three main problematic issues: the attitude of the riflemen towards the Lithuanianness of the country, Germanism and religion. Te Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union wasone of the key support organisations that had to implement Lithuania’s integration policy in the Klaipėda region, therefore the analysis of the above aspects in the press allows revealing of the Riflemen’s Union’s reflections and perceptions in the Klaipėda region’s public space.Anotacija. Straipsnyje analizuojamas Lietuvos šaulių sąjungos klausimas Klaipėdos krašto viešojoje erdvėje 1923–1926 m., remiantis Šaulių sąjungos Klaipėdoje leista periodika „Klaipėdos sargas“ ir „Klaipėdos garsas“. Turinio kokybinė analizė atliekama išskiriant tris esminius probleminius klausimus: šaulių požiūris į krašto lietuviškumą, vokiškumą ir religiją. Lietuvos šaulių sąjunga buvo viena iš atraminių organizacijų, turėjusių vykdyti Lietuvos integracinę politiką Klaipėdos krašte, todėl minėtų aspektų analizavimas spaudoje leidžia atskleisti Šaulių sąjungos veiklos refleksijas ir suvokinius Klaipėdos krašto viešojoje erdvėje bei siekti identifkuoti sąjungos (ne)populiarumo tarp krašto gyventojų priežastis

IMPACT OF YOUTH GUARANTEE INICIATIVES ON NEETS POPULATION CHANGES IN EU
Full text linkAn economic downfall, which started at the end of the year 2008, had a dramatic impact on the increase of youth population from 15-24 aged group Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) in the EU Member States. Identification of success factors driving positive changes in NEETs population by implementing Youth Guarantee (YG) initiatives in EU countries is the scientific problem analyzed in this publication. The main purpose of an investigation is the identification of groups of EU countries according to the level of youth unemployment and the impact made by implementing the YG initiatives. The cluster analysis techniques are used and the groups of EU Member States have excluded as well as corrections of improvement of YG are proposed

Full text linkTeam-based learning strategy is widely applied in the world's higher education institutions in the most diverse fields of studies. Its popularity is due to its positive impact on student’s achievement. Team-based learning increases student’s motivation and involvement into the study process, and its implementation enables students to acquire the competencies necessary in the modern labor market.
The research problem: what are the opportunities to adapt team-based learning strategies into university studies?
Research object: team-based learning strategy.
Aim: to explore the possibilities of Team-based learning strategy in bachelor studies.
The research found, that in order to successfully adapt this strategy, it should be taken into consideration that a significant part of students is working students, and classes are missed. In cases where attendance is not compulsory, larger teams should be formed. It has been found that it is difficult for students to apply theoretical knowledges by solving real practical situations, so the teachers must to be prepared various of practical examples, in order to successfully adapt the team-based learning strategy, it is expedient to use already available, high-quality studies materials and properly adjust schedules.Straipsnyje aptariama komandinio mokymo(si) strategijos taikymo galimybės Lietuvos universitetinėse bakalauro studijose. Ši strategija pasirinkta dėl jos populiarumą lėmusio teigiamo poveikio studentų pasiekimams, didesnės studentų motyvacijos, gilesnio įsitraukimo į studijų procesą, o svarbiausia, kad jos taikymas suteikia galimybę studentams įgyti kompetencijų, būtinų šiuolaikinėje darbo rinkoje. Žvalgomojo eksperimento metu išskirti pagrindiniai elementai, lemiantys sėkmingą šios strategijos adaptaciją
