Defend ID's Strategic Management to be in The Top 50 Defense Global Company: SWOT Analysis of PT Dahana
Full text linkA Defence SOE Holding was formed called Defence Industry Indonesia (Defend ID) and PT Dahana (Persero) is one of the 4 (four) companies incorporated in this holding. To achieve Defend ID's target of becoming a Top 50 Defence Global Company, PT Dahana implements strategic management to increase its competitiveness and become a major player in the global defence industry. PT Dahana faces strategic challenges in the defence industry both at the internal, national and global levels. This research article uses a qualitative method with a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) framework, with the aim of obtaining a systematic assessment of PT Dahana's internal and external strategic factors. The research results obtained are that PT Dahana can utilize its strengths to overcome weaknesses and threats and take advantage of existing opportunities. By continuously strengthening strategies and innovations, PT Dahana is expected to continue to maintain and improve its position in the future
Attitude of Higher Institution Students towards the Use of Family Planning Methods and Cohabitation in Ondo State, Nigeria
Full text linkThis study investigated higher institution students' attitudes toward family planning methods and cohabitation in Ondo State, Nigeria. This study used a descriptive survey research design and a sample of 560 higher institution students selected through a multi-stage sampling procedure from the seven higher institutions in Ondo State, Nigeria. The instrument used for data collection was a structured questionnaire with two sub-scales titled ‘Students’ attitudes towards contraceptive use inventory’ and ‘Attitudes towards cohabitation questionnaire’ The data collected were analyzed using frequency count, percentage and correlation analysis. The study results showed a high prevalence of cohabitation among higher institution students in Ondo State with 408 (72.86%) of the 560 respondents engaging in cohabitation. Also, significant relationships existed between attitudes towards the use of family planning methods and cohabitation among higher institution students (r= 0.479, P< 0.05). Based on the findings, it was concluded that a highly prevalent level of cohabitation exists among students of higher institutions and a positive relationship existed between the use of family planning methods and cohabitation among the students. Therefore, it was recommended that the government and management team of each of the higher institutions should provide, within the campus, enough affordable accommodation and rules guiding visitation to opposite-sex hostels
Peran Etos Kerja Islami, Gaya Kepemimpinan Transformasional dan Kecerdasan Emosional Terhadap Komitmen Organisasi
No full textThis study examines the influence of Islamic work ethic, transformational leadership style, and emotional intelligence on organizational commitment within the Al Bahjah Cirebon Formal Education Division. The population comprises all permanent teachers in the division, with a sample of 146 respondents selected for quantitative research. The data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using Smart PLS version 3.0. The findings indicate that an Islamic work ethic has a statistically significant impact on organizational commitment (t-statistic: 2.992, P-value: 0.003). Additionally, the transformational leadership style was found to have a positive effect on organizational commitment (t-statistic: 2.042, P-value: 0.042). 3) Emotional intelligence significantly contributes to organizational commitment (t-statistic: 2.251, P-value: 0.025). Collectively, these factors influence organizational commitment, with a coefficient of determination (R Square adjusted) indicating that they account for 30.2% of the variance. This suggests that while these three factors are important, 69.8% of the variance in organizational commitment is due to other variables not covered in this study.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh etos kerja islami, gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap komitmen organisasi pada Divisi Pendidikan Formal Al Bahjah Cirebon. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru tetap Divisi Pendidikan Formal Al Bahjah Cirebon dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel yang diambil oleh peneliti sebanyak 146 responden. Metode dalam mengumpulkan data menggunakan kuesioner. Sedangkan metode pengolahan data penelitian menggunakan Smart PLS versi 3.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) etos kerja islami berpengaruh positif siginifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi, 2) gaya kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi, 3) kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi. No full textFacing the complexity of logistics distribution related to natural disasters in Indonesia, a geographically vulnerable country to various types of disasters, especially in isolated areas, requires an efficient and effective solution. One solution being explored is the implementation of cargo parachutes as an alternative logistics distribution to enhance the resilience of communities in those areas. This research aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the potential and challenges of using cargo parachutes in the context of logistics distribution in Indonesia. Through a literature review conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study explores information regarding the advantages, challenges, and practical implications of implementing cargo parachutes. It was found that the use of cargo parachutes offers a quick and responsive solution in distributing logistics aid in isolated areas, often difficult to reach by conventional land transportation. The main advantage of implementing cargo parachutes is their ability to provide faster response times in logistics distribution. In the context of natural disasters, speed is crucial to ensure that aid arrives promptly where it is needed. Cargo parachutes can also improve the accessibility of aid, especially in isolated areas that may be challenging to reach conventionally. However, this study also identifies several challenges that need to be addressed. Landing accuracy is a critical issue, especially with weather variability, wind direction, and the topography of the area. Additionally, safety aspects, operational costs, and coordination among various stakeholders are challenges that must be overcome to ensure the success of cargo parachute implementation. Practical recommendations emerging from this research involve the use of monitoring technology, training for personnel involved in logistics distribution using cargo parachutes, and the development of clear Emergency Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Monitoring technology, such as GPS, can help improve landing accuracy, while personnel training and emergency SOPs can enhance operational effectiveness and safety.Menghadapi kompleksitas distribusi logistik terkait bencana alam di Indonesia, negara yang secara geografis rentan terhadap berbagai jenis bencana, terutama di daerah terisolir, membutuhkan solusi yang efisien dan efektif. Salah satu solusi yang sedang dijajaki adalah implementasi parasut kargo sebagai alternatif distribusi logistik untuk meningkatkan ketahanan masyarakat di wilayah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang potensi dan tantangan penggunaan parasut kargo dalam konteks distribusi logistik di Indonesia. Melalui tinjauan pustaka yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR), penelitian ini mengeksplorasi informasi mengenai keuntungan, tantangan, dan implikasi praktis dari penerapan parasut kargo. Dalam konteks bencana alam, kecepatan sangat penting untuk memastikan bahwa bantuan tiba tepat di tempat yang dibutuhkan. Parasut kargo juga dapat meningkatkan aksesibilitas bantuan, terutama di daerah terpencil yang mungkin sulit dijangkau secara konvensional. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan yang perlu ditangani. Akurasi pendaratan adalah masalah kritis, terutama dengan variabilitas cuaca, arah angin, dan topografi daerah tersebut. Selain itu, aspek keselamatan, biaya operasional, dan koordinasi di antara berbagai pemangku kepentingan merupakan tantangan yang harus diatasi untuk memastikan keberhasilan implementasi parasut kargo. Rekomendasi praktis yang muncul dari penelitian ini melibatkan penggunaan teknologi pemantauan, pelatihan untuk personel yang terlibat dalam distribusi logistik menggunakan parasut kargo, dan pengembangan Prosedur Operasi Standar Darurat (SOP) yang jelas. The Role of Defense Science Philosophy in Determining Strategies to Maintain The Sovereignty and Integrity of The Unitary State of The Republic Indonesia in Industrial Revolution 4.0
Full text linkThe complexity and dynamics of this era, the philosophy of defense science becomes a conceptual guide in formulating appropriate strategies. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. Through qualitative descriptive methods, this research analyzes the role of defense science philosophy in determining strategies to maintain the sovereignty and integrity of unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia. Industrial Revolution 4.0 brings the potential to increase the country's defense capabilities, but also brings new threats, especially in terms of cyber security and paradigm changes in social and economic life. From the research that had been carried out, researchers found that the philosophy of defense science is the basis for understanding basic values, principles and concepts in determining strategies to maintain the sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 in conceptual analysis, defense ethics and ethos, threat identification, social studies and politics, as well as the development of critical thinking and innovation. Based on the role of the defense science philosophy, strategies were found to maintain the sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of Indonesia, which includes strengthening cyber security, maritime defense, developing artificial intelligence, increasing human resource capabilities, international collaboration, and increasing public awareness and education. By using this approach, the philosophy of defense science contributes significantly protecting the Republic of Indonesia from growing threats in an era of rapidly developing technology

His conduct and style of leadership will undoubtedly be influenced by this way of living. The ability to inspire others to alter their views in order to conform to the goals and will of the leader is known as leadership, or the creative moral power. In the Seskoal Unit, leadership has inherent value in assessing and evaluating members of their unit for their performance in addition to issuing commands to subordinates. A competent leader would constantly inspire their followers to operate in accordance with Indonesian standards and regulations, using a leadership approach that incorporates local knowledge. The goal of this study is to clarify the leadership approach used by Seskoal leaders in order to raise unit performance. The research methodology used is a qualitative approach employing a descriptive technique, which is the process of creating and researching scientific publications by thoroughly describing the problem's topic and investigating data sources that are pertinent to the issues raised by the literature reviews. This colonial rule sparked resistance from Vietnamese nationalists. The movement for Vietnamese independence gained momentum after World War II when the French tried to reclaim Vietnam. This research aims to evaluate the strategies employed by Vietnam against French and US colonialism, drawing parallels with Indonesia's fight against Dutch colonialism. Historical research methods are used to collect, analyze, and interpret past data. Various aspects, including ideology, politics, economics, and culture, influenced the relationships between the involved countries during their respective colonial periods and wars.
