Analysis Of Bosnia-Herzegovina Armed Conflict
The Bosnia-Herzegovina conflict in 1992 was a war that had its roots in the ethnic conflict (1992–1995) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a former Yugoslav Republic with a multiethnic population consisting of Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims), Serbs, and Croats. The Bosnia-Herzegovina conflict was a Non-International Armed Conflict (NIAC) which turned into an International Armed Conflict (NIAC). Factors causing conflict include ethnic and religious differences, the death of President Josip Broz Tito, the political policies of President Slobodan Milosevic, strategic areas, competition for natural and industrial resources, recognition of independence by the European Community and international organizations, and the economic crisis. International organizations that participated in ending the Bosnia-Herzegovina conflict include the UN, UNPROFOR, NATO, IFOR, SFOR, NAC, SHAPE, COMARCC, OIC, and NAM. After years of fierce fighting involving the three groups, Western countries, with the support of NATO, implemented a final ceasefire negotiated in Dayton, Ohio, USA, in 1995. This research uses qualitative research methods. Data presentation is carried out descriptively based on a comprehensive literature study from books, journals, and news to examine an event that has occurred objectively using existing theoretical approaches
Analysis of The Factors of Conflict Between Student Groups in Makassar City and The Impact on National Security
The research aims at finding factors contributing to conflicts between groups of university students, especially that of between the students from Luwu and Bone in 2021. The conflict occurred outside of campus and widely impacted the safety of the surrounding community. The theory employed in the research is The Tree Conflict Model, Conflict Escalation Model, prejudice and stereotype model, and the national security concept. The research applies qualitative method and case study as the research design. Data collection techniques implemented are interviews and literature reviews. The result of the research indicates that conflicts between two student groups are caused by three factors; the Structural, the Manifestation, and the Dynamic factors. The Structural factor is an emotional bonding that gives people sensations of solidarity and causes them to be easily provoked. It also contributes to organizational mishandling and ineffective punishment. In the Manifestation factor, it is the group solidarity that significantly contributes to the conflict. Lastly, it is the Dynamic factor that is reflected in the action of retaliation. More importantly, the impact of the conflict can excess and causes disruption against communal and social safety. In this regard not only is the government responsible for avoiding external threats but it is also mandated for the safety of people in their daily life
Implementation of the ASEAN Power Grid Interconnection West Kalimantan and Sarawak to Fulfill Electrical Energy Needs in Khatulistiwa
West Kalimantan is a province in Indonesia that is directly adjacent to Sarawak, Malaysia. Electrical energy in West Kalimantan is not fulfilled because the source of electricity in West Kalimantan still relies on diesel which is expensive and cannot last all day, depending on the supply of fuel. Meanwhile, Sarawak has quite a large supply of energy coming from hydropower plants. To overcome the gap in those regions, ASEAN has made the West Kalimantan and Sarawak as one of the ASEAN Power Grid projects which connects certain areas in two different countries to share electricity supply. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the cooperation between West Kalimantan and Sarawak electricity interconnection in meeting the electricity demand in the West Kalimantan region. In this research, the authors used qualitative methods by reviewing the literature. As the results of this study, the cross-border electricity interconnection cooperation between West Kalimantan and Sarawak is quite effective. By importing electricity from Sarawak the demand for electrical energy-especially in the main cities of West Kalimantan, can be fulfilled. So those two areas have the advantage where West Kalimantan is able to meet the electricity needs and Sarawak gets a profit margin by selling its electricity

Exploring Gender Inequalities and Promoting Equal Opportunities in Ghana's Cocoa Industry Using Harvard Analytical Framework
Using the Harvard Analytical Framework, this study explores the gender inequalities among cocoa farmers in Southern Ghana and also recommends strategies for promoting equal opportunities between the farmers. Specifically, the research identifies and describes the productive, reproductive, and community-based roles within these communities, explores access and control of resources, services, and decision-making processes and ascertains the factors that influence cocoa farmers' gendered opportunities or constraints. We used a cross-sectional survey design approach to select 232 respondents via the multi-stage sampling technique. Data was analysed using mainly descriptive statistics. The study reveals that although men and women cocoa farmers play useful roles in cocoa production, differences exist in their experiences. While men dominate in all the productive roles and some community-based roles, women dominate in the majority of the reproductive roles. Men have more access to and control over resources, services, and decision-making processes. Community norms, political, religious, and social factors serve as gendered opportunities for farmers, while economic factors are gendered opportunities and constraints. The study recommends the promotion of gender-responsive agricultural training that will aim to empower women to engage in productive roles. Policies and interventions that facilitate women’s access and control over essential resources such as land, inputs, and finances must be implemented by the Ghana Cocoa Boar
