No full textAmphibious Assault Rifles, known for their versatility, play a crucial strategic role in various operating environments, including maritime, coastal, underwater, and land areas. This study investigates their significance in advancing defense technology and contributing to national resilience. These rifles, essential to TNI AL special forces like KomandoPasukan Katak (KOPASKA), excel where traditional firearms fall short, making them indispensable in modern military operations. The research explores how these rifles influence defense technology, enhancing national security and resilience in an ever-evolving security landscape. This study analyzes the role of amphibious assault rifles in amphibious operations to support national resilience, identifies challenges, and considers the defense technology mastery as an effective solution for the development of amphibious assault rifles. A Systematic Literature Review method is employed to gather literature. Challenges encompass defense technology readiness, financial, and manufactur aspects. Strategies involving increased investment, long-term planning, coordination, and human resource development are needed. Development of amphibious assault rifles is proposed to defense technology mastery and support national resilience. The success of defense technology mastery and the development of amphibious assault rifles requires strategic collaboration and the implementation of appropriate solutions.Senapan Serbu Amfibi, yang dikenal karena keserbagunaannya, memainkan peran strategis yang penting di berbagai lingkungan operasi, termasuk wilayah maritim, pesisir, bawah air, dan darat. Studi ini menyelidiki signifikansinya dalam memajukan teknologi pertahanan dan berkontribusi terhadap ketahanan nasional. Senapan ini, yang penting bagi pasukan khusus TNI AL seperti Komando Pasukan Katak (KOPASKA), unggul dalam hal kekurangan senjata api tradisional, sehingga sangat diperlukan dalam operasi militer modern. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana senapan ini mempengaruhi teknologi pertahanan, meningkatkan keamanan dan ketahanan nasional dalam lanskap keamanan yang terus berkembang. Kajian ini menganalisis peran senapan serbu amfibi dalam operasi amfibi untuk mendukung ketahanan nasional, mengidentifikasi tantangan, dan mempertimbangkan penguasaan teknologi pertahanan sebagai solusi efektif pengembangan senapan serbu amfibi. Metode Tinjauan Pustaka Sistematis digunakan untuk mengumpulkan literatur. Tantangannya mencakup aspek kesiapan teknologi pertahanan, finansial, dan manufaktur. Diperlukan strategi yang melibatkan peningkatan investasi, perencanaan jangka panjang, koordinasi, dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia. Pengembangan senapan serbu amfibi diusulkan untuk penguasaan teknologi pertahanan dan mendukung ketahanan nasional. Keberhasilan penguasaan teknologi pertahanan dan pengembangan senapan serbu amfibi memerlukan kolaborasi strategis dan penerapan solusi yang tepat
Communication Model for Promoting Historical Tourism in Kupang City
Get PDFThe expansion of transportation, communication, and infrastructure has accelerated the development of the tourism sector in Kupang City in recent years. However, not all sorts of tourism are successfully established, and historical tourism in Kupang City is one of them. This is ironic because, while technology has not yet made historical tourism a viable alternative for travelers, today's promotion should be simple and inexpensive. Even though the potential for tourist visits in Kupang City is fairly large, historical tourism promotion is the subject of this study due to a lack of advertising on this sort of tourist item. Therefore, the objectives of this research are to identify promotional activities and develop a communication model for promoting historic tourism in Kupang City. The case study technique was employed in this research, and the target informants were Penta Helix stakeholders in the tourism sector, they are the government, business people, communities, academics, and media. This study found that promotional activities at numerous historical tourism sites are still poorly managed. Furthermore, the underdevelopment of historical tourism is primarily due to a lack of political will on the part of leaders, the public's lack of historical information literacy, and a lack of mass media coverage, including ineffective use of social media. It offers an analysis of the most effective approaches to resolving the conflict, drawing valuable lessons that can be applied to other nations grappling with similar challenges. Historical, socio-economic, political, and cultural factors all play a role in the conflict, which has endured for decades. There are additional issues to navigate, including military fragmentation, political leadership voids, economic and cultural decline, failed ceasefires, and neighboring state behavior. By examining these causes and lessons learned, this article provides valuable insights for Indonesia and other nations facing separatist movements. Despite the daunting nature of the conflict, there are several potential solutions that can be employed to facilitate successful negotiations in the future, including trust-building, official and unofficial mediation, the establishment of a State Peace Secretariat in Casamance, and a comprehensive, inclusive settlement negotiation
Contribution of Principal Leadership and Academic Supervision to the Performance of Public Elementary School Teachers in Lubuk Basung Subdistrict, Agam Regency
Get PDFThis study was motivated by observations made by researchers in public elementary schools in Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency, which showed that teacher performance was still low. Factors that influence teacher performance include principal leadership and school academic supervision. The purpose of this study was to see: (1) the contribution of principal leadership to the performance of teachers in public elementary schools in Lubuk Basung Subdistrict, Agam Regency, (2) the contribution of academic supervision to the performance of teachers in public elementary schools in Lubuk Basung Subdistrict, Agam Regency, and (3) the contribution of principal leadership and academic supervision to the performance of teachers in public elementary schools in Lubuk Basung, Agam Regency. The method used in this research is quantitative research with a population of 172 teachers. The sample size was taken using stratified proportional random sampling method, totaling 66 teachers. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire. Data analysis indicates that: (1) the leadership of school principals contributes significantly to the performance of public elementary school teachers in Lubuk Basung District, Agam Regency by 14.1%. (2) Academic supervision significantly contributes to the performance of public elementary school teachers in Lubuk Basung Subdistrict, Agam Regency by 7.3%. (3) Principal leadership and academic supervision significantly contributed to the performance of teachers of public elementary schools in Lubuk Basung Subdistrict, Agam Regency by 15.1%. This finding can show that the hypothesis can be accepted empirically and the variables of principal leadership and academic supervision are two factors that contribute to the performance of public elementary school teachers in Lubuk Basung Subdistrict, Agam Regency, the remaining 86.9% support outside the two variables studied
Cyber Diplomacy (A Perspective From Indonesia - Australia Cyber Cooperation)
Get PDFTo address the increasing cyber threats, Indonesia is attempting to develop its cyber capabilities, one of which is collaboration with Australia. In practicing cyber diplomacy, the two countries employ different diplomatic models. Indonesia conducts cyber diplomacy through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), whereas Australia conducts it through its cyber ambassador. This research will investigate how the Indonesian and Australian cyber diplomacy models work in cyber diplomacy using a descriptive-analytic approach. Based on the research results, even though Indonesia already has BSSN as the leading cybersecurity sector, Indonesia's foreign policy continues to emphasize the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the leading sector of foreign policy diplomacy. including dialogue or bilateral collaboration with other countries in the sphere of cybersecurity. This, of course, extends the coordinating framework for carrying out cyber cooperation. As a result, efforts by the Indonesian government are required to develop more effective cyber diplomacy policies in order to enhance Indonesia's cyber capabilities

Nigeria Land Border Closure: Implication On Rice Smuggling And Local Production
Get PDFThe foreign policy of a nation is framed to protect and stimulate its national interests in the execution of bilateral or multilateral relations with other nations. Foreign policy includes both choices and activities. These choices and activities comprise to some substantial level relations between one nation and others. Nigeria embarked on land borders closure as choice to protect her national interest against rice and other commodity smuggling. The objective of this study is to examine the border closure policy of the Nigerian government, as well as, relating it to the national interests of the nation, particularly in the areas of rice production, curbing arm proliferation, and smuggling. The study adopts qualitative research methodology, using explanatory approach to discuss the variables. The independent variable is Nigeria border policy and the dependent variable is rice smuggling activities. The study finds that rice production increased from 3.2 million tonnes to 6.4 million tonnes with a revenue earning of about US 18.3 million in 2011. Also, there are evidence showing that border closure saw a remarkable decrease in land border smuggling activities. The issue of arms proliferation was also put in check

Get PDFThe rapid advancement of technology is matched by the rapid dissemination of information via social media, including information related to piracy. On the other hand, in maritime sociology conflicts, the presence of social media can polarize the international community, damage peace movements, promote violent agendas, and spread false and inaccurate information. Twitter is one of the social media platforms whose data is still open for processing. Writing this article aims to find out positive and negative sentiments about piracy news in Indonesia from Twitter IMBPiracy using the Nvivo 12 plus application. The method used is descriptive qualitative to describe the results of IMBPiracy's Twitter sentiment analysis with the Nvivo 12 Plus application. The data was taken from IMBPiracy's official Twitter from 2010 to 2022 using the Ncapture application. From the data collected, it is then analyzed to find out the country of origin and the number of negative and positive tweets. In this study, the results were found, namely IMBPiracy's tweets were dominated by France, which contributed 47 tweets. Meanwhile, an analysis of IMBPiracy's tweets about piracy in Indonesia shows mostly negative sentiment. Of course, these negative tweets can hurt the identity of the Indonesian nation as a formidable maritime nation

Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi dengan subjek penelitian di Desa Cipayung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Destana Desa Cipayung Datar di tingkat SD dan tingkat kesiapsiagaan masyarakat di Desa Cipayung Datar masih belum optimal.
