    Get PDF
With so many agencies patrolling separately, the patrol becomes ineffective and inefficient. Each agency needs a budget and conducts repeated ship inspections. The expected condition is when all agencies can collaborate in carrying out patrols. Researchers used qualitative methods with exploratory designs. Interviews were conducted with informants from Bakamla, TNI AL, Polair, Bea Cukai, PSDKP, and KPLP. The results of the research show that collaboration is needed to combine various elements of patrols from various authorities in the sea. Researchers suggest collaboration between agencies with joint base assets and create a ship inspection information system in real-time

The conflicts in Papua, Indonesia, and Zulu, South Africa, present similarities and differences.  This article concentrates on the discussion of the separatist conflict in Papua which is then compared with the separatist conflict in Zulu, South Africa. Which ended with a peace agreement between the Zulu separatist movement and the South African government to take lessons from the Zulu Separatist Conflict to support the resolution of the separatist conflict in Papua, Indonesia. This paper is based on the Library Research methodology and comparative method approach.. There is a big difference, namely that in the Zulu conflict there is a window of opportunity which is the way to peace and ends in a peace agreement. Meanwhile, the Papua conflict does not yet have a window of opportunity which is an opportunity to pave the way for peace. So it is hoped that the Indonesian government will be more observant in seeing opportunities in resolving the Papua conflict. Since the democratic elections, there has been no figure from Papua with an Indonesian nationalist spirit who is able to accommodate and bridge between the Papuan separatist groups and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. Because looking at the Zulu conflict, apart from the election event there were also nationalist and democratic figures who were black in South Africa.

    Get PDF
This study aimed at examining the influence of transformational and transactional leadership on organisational performance by using Ruaha Catholic University of Tanzania as a case study. Quantitative data was collected from 130 employees of the university by using a standard questionnaire. Data analysis was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics, specifically linear regression. Descriptive results were presented using frequencies, means and standard deviations while results from inferential statistics were presented in the form of correlations and regressions.  Transformational and transactional leadership were found to have mean values that are above average score and the difference between the two leadership styles were not significantly big. However, the findings show that leaders practised more of transactional leadership than transformational leadership since transactional leadership had higher mean score value. Moreover, the study found that both transformational and transactional leadership have significant positive linear relationships with organisational performance. The findings give an implication that both transformational and transactional leadership can be used concurrently to bring about positive results in an organisation
