The Implementation of A Multiliteracy Pedagogy Framework for Teaching Critical Teaching
Get PDFThe Multiliteracy Pedagogy Framework has been promoted to improve education in many countries; however, it is not popular yet in Indonesia. The framework relates to enhancing students' thinking skills. The other research indicated that the MPF did not positively affect students' critical thinking since the teacher did not have good knowledge about it; the teacher did not completely implement the four framework syntax in the teaching-learning process. The research, therefore, intends to reveal the implementation of the MPF for teaching critical thinking in the reading class of English Language Education (PBI) students. The research subjects are a lecture on the Reading subject and 20 students in the third semester at PBI Nahdlatul Ulama University of Sidoarjo (UNUSIDA). It is descriptive qualitative research using observation and questionnaire techniques to collect data. Descriptive statistics were used to generate summaries. The first implementation process is changing the lesson plan based on the multiliteracy pedagogy framework dimension. The activities are arranged in order from the cognitive functions in Multiliteracy; experiencing, conceptualizing, analyzing, and applying. The lecturer followed the syntax easily and completely. The result of students' assignments proves they can think critically about a text by giving comments supported with reasons, recommendations, data, conclusions, and evaluations. Besides, the students enjoyed the instruction and responded well to the questionnaire, with 96,5% on average.Model Multiliterasi Pedagogi telah dipromosikan sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di banyak negara, namun ternyata belum populer di Indonesia. Model ini dipercaya dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir siswa. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa guru belum memahami model tersebut dan pembelajaran tidak memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa karena guru tidak dapat menerapkan empat sintaks yang ada dalam model tersebut. dengan benar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menunjukkan bagaimana penerapan model ini secara terstruktur pada mata kuliah membaca untuk mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (PBI) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka. Subjek penelitian adalah satu dosen mata kuliah pada mata kuliah Reading dan 20 mahasiswa semester tiga di PBI Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo (UNUSIDA). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik observasi dan kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data. Statistik sederhana digunakan untuk menghasilkan rangkuman. Proses implementasi pertama adalah mengubah rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdasarkan dimensi dalam kerangka pedagogi multiliterasi. Kegiatan disusun secara berurutan dari proses kognitif dalam Multiliterasi; mengalami, mengkonseptualisasi, menganalisis, dan menerapkan. Dosen mengikuti sintaks tersebut dengan mudah dan lengkap. Hasil dari tugas siswa membuktikan bahwa mereka dapat berpikir kritis tentang sebuah teks dengan menganalisis dan mengevaluasi yang termasuk dalam taksonomi kognitif C4 dan C5. Selain itu, para mahasiswa mengikuti proses belajar dengan senang sehingga merespon kuesioner yang diberikan dengan rata-rata 96,5%.

The Role of Environmental NGOs in Indonesia’s Policy on Re-Export Plastic Waste to Anticipate Non-Military Threats
Get PDFThis paper analyzes an important gap in understanding the role of the Environmental Non-Government Organizations in Indonesia’s policy on re-export waste. This paper provides insights into how NGOs can be more effective to enforce Indonesia’s policy on re-export plastic waste to anticipate non-military threats and protect the environment and public health from the harmful effects of illegal waste imports. Moreover, this research will help to ensure that the government is held accountable for enforcing its policies regarding waste plastic import. Using the New social movement theory by Philip W. Sutton and the descriptive qualitative approach can answer and help to understand the role of Environmental NGOs. The result shows that Environmental NGOs played a significant role in shaping Indonesia’s on implementing re-export plastic waste and used various actions such as advocacy, lobbying, and awareness campaigns to influence policy decisions and ensure that the government’s policies were in line with environmental protection. The new social movement theory emphasizes the role of non-government organizations in shaping the social environment, especially in raising awareness of the environmental and health risks posed by plastic waste
The Role Of Satisfaction And Commitment As Mediators Of Service Quality And Perceived Risk On The Loyalty Of Tourists Staying At Former Covid-19 Isolation Patient Hotels In Bali
Get PDFTourist loyalty is widely regarded as a crucial driving force for the success of businesses in the tourism industry, including destination marketing. Tourists' choice of accommodation is greatly influenced by the attitudes or perceptions they acquire, which in turn determines their commitment to returning to the same hotel. The fundamental aim of this research is to explore how satisfaction and commitment mediate the development of tourist loyalty towards hotels in the post-COVID-19 era. The research employs a quantitative approach and entails conducting a survey among 225 foreign tourists accommodated in post-COVID-19 quarantine hotels. All data are analyzed using SEM PLS analysis. The findings of the study reveal that service quality and risk perception exert a positive and statistically significant influence on the satisfaction levels of tourists residing in post-COVID hotels. The better the service quality and the lower the travel risk perception, the stronger the satisfaction and commitment of tourists to these quarantine hotels. Satisfaction acts as a mediator in the relationship between service and commitment. Commitment is proven to mediate the relationship between service quality and tourist loyalty. Tourist loyalty to a product is not solely determined by low risk; rather, if tourists have positive perceptions, commitment performance will increase. Therefore, satisfaction acts as a precedent to commitment and tourist loyalty. Health risks can be minimized by continuing to implement health regulations in hotels, thereby enhancing tourist trust.

This article aims to describe the role of technology and accounting information systems in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of MSME operations. This research uses the literature review method to analyze previously published articles, books, and other related sources. The results of this literature review reveal that technology and accounting information systems have become important tools in helping MSMEs overcome various obstacles in managing their business. Technologies such as accounting software, electronic payment systems and e-commerce platforms have changed the way MSMEs operate and communicate with their customers. This research also highlights the benefits provided by technology in optimizing inventory management, financial monitoring, and data analysis for better decision-making.Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu negara. Namun, UMKM seringkali menghadapi tantangan dalam mengelola kegiatan operasional mereka. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peran teknologi dan sistem informasi akuntansi dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas operasional UMKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literatur review untuk menganalisis artikel, buku, dan sumber-sumber terkait lainnya yang telah diterbitkan sebelumnya. This abstract explores the significance of defense diplomacy during times of peace in strengthening military partnerships and enhancing defense capabilities between Indonesia and France, with a specific focus on the acquisition of Rafale jets. Defense diplomacy serves as a crucial tool for fostering international relations and promoting regional stability. The procurement of advanced military aircraft such as the Rafale jets not only bolsters Indonesia's defense capabilities but also deepens the bilateral defense cooperation between the two nations. This research will use qualitative research methods. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive research approach utilizing the literature review method. The literature review was performed by the researcher by utilizing various secondary data sources such as books, journal articles, press releases, news articles, as well as institutional websites. The abstract highlights the benefits of the Rafale jets in terms of their advanced technology, versatility, and interoperability, enabling Indonesia to address various security challenges effectively. Moreover, it emphasizes the positive impact of this strategic acquisition on defense industry collaboration, technology transfer, and human capital development. By strengthening military partnerships and enhancing defense capabilities through the acquisition of Rafale jets, Indonesia and France can pave the way for mutually beneficial and sustainable defense cooperation, contributing to regional security and stability
The Contributions of Principals Leadership and Climate’s School to Performance of Teachers Elementary School at Kecamatan Kandis Kabupaten Siak
Get PDFThis research was based on a case where the result of observation by researcher in Elementary School at Kecamatan Kandis Kabupaten Siak that showed the low level of teacher performance. Many factors affected the teacher performances which are principal’s leadership and climate school. The purpose of this research are to know about: (1) contribution of principals leadership to teacher performance, (2) contribution of climate school to teachers performance, and (3) contribution of principals leadership and climate school are jointly to teachers performance. The method of this study is quantitative research with sample are 76 teachers at Elementary School in Kecamatan Kandis Kabupaten Siak. Sample in this research has taken by stratified proportional random sampling method. Instrument in this research using questionnaire. The results of the analysis data show that (1) principals leadership contributes significantly to teachers of 15.8%, (2) climate school contributes significantly to teachers of 50.9 %, and (3) principal’s leadership and climate school make a significant contribution to teachers performance of 54%, so the conclusion of this research are that hypothesis acceptable empirically and principal’s leadership and climate school variable are two factors that contribute to the teacher performance and 46% of the remaining influence by another factors
Service Marketing, Trust And Company Image On Satisfaction And It’s Impact On The Loyalty Of Umrah Pilgrims In Palembang

The provider of Umrah service hope all residents of Palembang to increase faith and piety to Allah. Based on the initial research result, it’s identified that there wewr several problems on customers with less-loyalty to the provider of umrah service industry.The purpose of this study is develop model of service marketing for umroh/pilgrim customers. We do analysis the effect of their loyalty on the satisfaction of the service provide for umrah customer whether it’s true or not.The research design used descriptive statistic to analyse topic of research on 20 umrah travel providers which have met the requirements. We have 200 respondents as population from 20 companies and taken 10 respondents respectively.The data was primarily collected from questionnaires that have been validated about its reliability. The analytical tools of this study is SEM with Lisrel Application. The end of this research concludes that the service marketing management practices, trust, company image, pilgrim satisfaction and pilgrim loyalty need to be improved. The outcomes of this research atates that causality analysis is used to present a) the loyalty of umroh pilgrims in Palembang is strongly influenced by consumer’s trust and company image; b) services marketing could not proven as direct variable, because of service marketing to have no effect on consumer satisfaction, consumer’s trust, corporate image and consumer’satisfaction that could be proven that the service marketing is influence by consumer loyalt

The results of this study indicate that beauty vloggers on the Tiktok site have the same effect on informants, namely a pleasant effect on the information they get, entertain them, and get self-satisfaction with the beauty shows they see.
