The development of technology in the military field has changed from time to time. This dynamic must be taken seriously because they are a challenge, and pose a potential threat to the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), As well as the trend of the technology-based warfare today. So it has become a necessity for the Indonesian National Army (TNI) to accept it. One of the popular technologies today, war robt technology(warbo), and including multimodal robots with a variety of basic missions. Furthermore, developing a multimodal robot concept design that can fulfil TNI surveillance needs. The methodology used is in the form of interview, observations, comparison, and literature studies by applying system engineering theory and life cycle models. This research has successfully formulated user requirement objectivies which are then elaborated into robot design concepts including characteristic design, and architecture design of multimodal monitoring robots. The hardware on the robot is design differently from others because it has the ability to fly and walk on the ground. The robot is also conceptualised to have advantages in terms of durability with agility, silence, and operate with various terrain conditions. Equipped with sensors to see, hear, measure ambient temperature, and read surrounding conditions using camera sensors, where the robot moves autonomously equipped with GPS and Lidar can send data in the form of audio visual directly to the Ground Control System (command centre). The concept design of the multimodal monitoring robot called Tsunhan-14 is expected to be the basis for determining technical requirement and further developed into a national innovation that is utilized as part of the TNI’s war strategy

This research explores the multifaceted concept of translanguaging in the context of teaching English as a foreign language in three universities in North Sumatra. Translanguaging, a term encompassing various aspects of multilingualism, is examined as a pedagogical approach that utilizes multiple languages within a classroom setting. The study investigates translanguaging practices among lecturers and aims to address three key research questions: the types of translanguaging practices, perceptions of lecturers and students, and the motivations behind incorporating translanguaging in teaching and learning activities. The research method is a qualitative method with a case study approach model focusing on the exploration of a "bounded system" on one specific case or on some cases in detail by exploring data in depth. Through a combination of surveys and interviews with lecturers, the study identifies eight motivations for the intentional use of translanguaging practices. These motivations include adjusting to students' proficiency levels, clarification, and emphasis, translanguaging as an academic strategy, providing challenges for student growth, considering diverse student demographics, expressing firmness and solidarity, addressing real lexical needs in communication, and expressing group identity. The findings reveal positive responses to translanguaging from both lecturers and students, highlighting its versatility in meeting educational objectives and fostering effective communication in diverse learning environments. The motivations align with existing literature, emphasizing the adaptability and significance of translanguaging in enriching the teaching and learning experience. The study concludes with several insights into translanguaging practices in North Sumatra's universities and recommends possibilities for future research and practical implementation. The proposed recommendations include professional development for lecturers, curriculum design, student training, and calls for more studies in tranlanguaging. Overall, this research contributes to the understanding of translanguaging motivations and offers practical suggestions for enhancing its integration in higher education institutions

However, the need for money when the receivables are not yet due encourages the receivables to be transferred into cessie, doctrinally the holder of the eigendom right has the power to eigenaar freely and to act freely on the property with full sovereignty, even so, the problem arises with the submission following the formal rules of cessie raises legal consequences, if without being notified, or in writing has been acknowledged and approved. This article questions whether the submission of receivables in the form of a unilateral legal action through cessie reflects the value of pacta sunt servanda which provides equality and justice for the parties? By applying a normative juridical research method based on a statutory approach, a legal conceptual approach, and a case approach, it strengthens the results prescriptively analytically, related to cessie which is worth justice being a hope for the business world, preventing potential legal uncertainty, avoiding potential disputes over the implementation of the transfer of receivables, preventing economic losses, by internalising the value of legal certainty and justice.  The value of pacta sunt servanda in this case relates to the equal position between the creditor and the debtor, this aspect also emphasises the guarantee of human rights for the parties to the agreement, as well as legal certainty and predictability in the process of fulfilling the provisions of the rights and obligations of the agreement agreed by the partie

The state must respect, cherish, and protect human rights as a legal instrument. Humanity itself possesses the right to live, not to be tortured, and never to be enslaved. With the provisions on human rights and the punishment of human trafficking, everyone enjoys legal protection from acts of degrading human dignity. As described in the provisions of the Law on the Prohibition of Slavery in Indonesia, this is regulated in some of the laws applicable nationally in the country of Indonesia. This prohibition on slavery, or slavery, can be found in Law No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights in the section that explains a few of the human prohibitions on non-slavery, namely Article (4), Article (20), and in Article (2) of the Act No. 21 of 2007 on the Trafficking in Persons. The case of a human skull in Langkat, North Sumatra, is a terrible crime against humanity. The victims clearly experienced practices of violence, torture, deprivation of rights, and similar acts of human slavery. Reports and facts on the ground show evidence that leads to systematic and structured crime, committed deliberately by the government apparatus. The perpetrators have violated the provisions of Act No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights and also those contained in Law No. 21 of 2007 on the Suppression of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons; explicitly, this act is in accordance with the meaning of human trafficking. There's a lot of people around, even officials who know where they are and what's going on inside the cage. But they 'proclaim' the condition. No one has attempted to counter the occurrences in the Rare Non-Active House for years. The surrounding society becomes a majority silent, or'majority quiet' over the phenomenon. Neither of the victims, they nor their families, have any basic knowledge of their rights, so that only "sacracy" can be done. They assume they made a mistake and deserve punishment. The company's owners physically hardened them for years, solely for their economic benefit

Industrial Relations Dispute Resolution Reform in Court: A Review of Structural and Substantial Weaknesses in Law Number 2 of 2004

    Get PDF
Conflict resolution in the context of industrial relations within the framework of labor law after the enactment of Law Number 2 of 2004 concerning Industrial Relations Dispute Settlement has been known through two mechanisms, namely voluntary settlement through bipartite mechanisms, conciliation, mediation, and arbitration, as well as compulsory settlement mechanisms through the Industrial Relations Court. However, the existence of the Industrial Relations Court poses several challenges, including workers' low understanding of the formal and material aspects of labor law, protracted processes, and substantial deficiencies in applicable law. Issues that arise around the resolution of industrial relations disputes include various factors, ranging from disputes regarding rights, interests, termination of employment, to disputes between unions in a company. In addition, the limited competence of the Industrial Relations Court also hinders effective resolution of labor disputes. This research adopts a normative juridical approach, which relies on positive legal analysis, especially Law Number 2 of 2004, as well as a review of judicial principles. The research findings identified a number of weaknesses, both in terms of structure and legal substance, that require updates in Industrial Relations Dispute Resolution in the Industrial Relations Court. One of the efforts to overcome these challenges is through reforms in the settlement process at the Industrial Relations Court, including the establishment of Industrial Relations Courts in each administrative region. However, Law Number 2 of 2004 is still considered unable to accommodate judicial principle
