    Eksperimen Gangguan Getaran Pada Fenomena Cloaking Cahaya Tampak Sistem Empat Lensa

    Creating optical illusions or invisible objects by using cloaking devices is still being a concern for many researchers in the world. The cloaking devices are working in visible spectrum regime, large dimention, and replicable. Addition with the full-field of light, no new materials, simple infrastructure, and scale easily may be considered an ‘ideal’ cloaking device. Based on four lenses cloaking system by Choi’s work shows an idea for solution of blindspot large vehicle’s problem. The set up for this optical system is regular covex lenses non-aberation based on educational laboratory framework. The experimental confirmation that cloaking area with 4f convex lenses is limited to certain areas only, not 100 % of the object to be observed can disappear from the view. Vibration disturbance generated by rotor module (wheels disturbance analogy on vehicles) applied on the system demonstrate that below on 2000 rotation per minutes (rpm) equal 33.34 hertz, optical illusion is still consistent. The results support the information to create optical cloaking prototype for optimizing large vehicle driver’s visibility as alternative solution blindspot’s problem

    Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia, which is also known as Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM), play a significant role in determining national economic performance. Banana chips are the most well-known product in Bandar Lampung. As the provincial capital of Lampung Province, Bandar Lampung becomes the center of trade and services sector which is a vital sector of the downstream industry activity. One of the vital aspect in the downstream of Banana chips industry is selling. This study aims to examine the effect of disruptive technology on the sale of SMEs Banana Chips products in Bandar Lampung. This study conduct the quantitative approach by using multiple regression linear analysis. The findings show that the regression model of selling aspect has 0.594 in R2 value. It means that the regression model is able to represent the real condition about 59,4%. According to the model, among the 6 (six) predictor variables, the most-influencing variable on the sale of Banana chips products is online-based promotion

    ANALISA GUGUS FUNGSI PADA NANOPARTIKEL MAGNESIUM FERRITE (MgFe2O4) YANG DIENKAPSULASI DENGAN POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (PEG-4000) DAN SILIKA

    Magnesium Ferrite Magnesium (MgFe2O4) magnetic nanoparticles have been successfully carried out by varying the concentrations of PEG-4000 and silica as encapsulation materials using coprecipitation methods. The X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis showed that new phases appeared in MgFe2O4 after PEG-4000 encapsulation, ie α-Fe2O3 having a paramagnetic rhombohedral and γ-FeO (OH) structure. The particle size of MgFe2O4 before encapsulation was 10.5 nm, after encapsulation with PEG-4000 became 5.2 nm and encapsulation with silica became 18.8 nm. In encapsulation with silica, the peak of the new diffraction field 222 which is a crystal appears. The result of Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) analysis showed that in MgFe2O4 coated with PEG-4000, there was a shifting in the wave number 2885.5 cm-1 to 2924.1 cm-1 in CH bond which was the bond of PEG- 4000 and a shifting in the wave number 316.3 cm-1 to 300.9 cm-1 on the metal oxide bond (MO) which is a uniform pattern of MgFe2O4. The presence of silica which has coated the magnetic material is shown in the 455.2 cm-1 number of Si-O-Si (bending) group

    UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK BUAH Rivina humilis L. TERHADAP Klebsiella pneumoniae DAN Escherichia coli

    Rivina humilis L. is herbaceous bushy perennial plant found in shrubs. The fruit extract of Rivina humilis L. had experienced antibacterial activity against Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli. The crude extract of nonpolar fraction (n-hexane) of Rivina humilis L. showed negative antibacterial activity towards Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli  whereas the methanolic extract has antibacterial activity with 12 mm of inhibition zone for Klebsiella pneumoniae and 10 mm for E.coli  in 1 ppm concentration. Determination of MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) was conducted with variation of concentration (w/v) 1 ppm; 0.8 ppm; 0.6 ppm; 0.2 ppm; 0 ppm (negative control), and chloramphenicol (positive control). The result of MIC determination against Klebsiella pneumoniae showed that the width and the inhibition zone index in the minimum concentration (0.2 ppm) were 7 mm and 1.36, respectively. While towards E.coli, MIC determination exhibited positive result at 0.6 ppm with the width and the inhibition zone index were 8 mm and 1.78 respectively

    Reaktor Serba Guna G.A Siwabessy (RSG-GAS) was built since 1983. RSG-GAS is a type of research reactor equipped with heat carrier and cooling system which serves to remove heat arising from fission reactions. In the heat carrier medium, the reactor equipped with a secondary cooling system using water originating from PAM Puspiptek. Water used in secondary cooling systems can cause some major problems of crust, corrosion, and moss or microorganisms. In this research, the phosphorus (orthophosphate), zinc, and conductivity and pH in the secondary cooling system have been measured to determine whether or not the flow rate of the injection system is used. Determination of concentration of the elements was performed using a DR / 2400 spectrophotometer portable device with ZincoVer 5 Powder Pillow reagent, cyclohexane for zinc concentration, and PhosVer 3 phophate for phosphorus concentration. From the results obtained, the overall flow rate of injector injection of 1.7 L / h gives a good result. Significant differences occurred only in conductivity values ​​dated July 21, 2009 both in piped water and cooling towers exceeding 950 μs / cm. And the value of orthophosphate concentration dated August 4, 2009 that exceeds 10 ppm

    This paper focused on the identification reservoir use petrophysical rock typing approach with pore geometry and structure (PGS) method. The identification of the type and composition of rock types, can obtain comprehensive understanding of geological aspects such as diagenesis and reservoir properties. Porosity and permeability data of the 113 core plug, which 13 have mercury injection capillary pressure (MICP) data, 48 thin sections from 3 wells are used. Facies, facies association and diagenetic history analyses are performed to understand the influence of facies, depositional environments and diagenesis to the development of petrophysical rock types (PRT). Packstone with larger foram, red algae, mollusks, and corals dominate the wells that have thin section. Diagenesis occur from marine until burial stage.     Management of feedlot manure is becoming a larger responsibility as more regulations are imposed to protect water, both surface and groundwater, from manure contamination. Instead of using the manure for compost, feedlot owners can capture methane from the decomposing manure (and turn that into electricity or heat), or use the waste to produce liquid fuel. Biogas may also be called renewable natural gas because  biogas can be used as a fuel source to produce electricity  and heat like natural gas.This research converting energy generated from the measurement of total waste theoretically to be convert to electricity generated from the waste. Within the number of 19,398 total cows in Jati Agung Sub District husbandry has the potential to produce electric energy of 149,365.376 kwh per day or 15,836.79 mwh per year. The conversion from waste to electricity will reduce the number of total emission of 64,086.7464 tCO2 per year

    Phaleria (Phaleria macrocarpa Boerl.) contains flavonoids with antioxidants to prevent free radical that can cause cancer. This study aimed to determine the effect of drying temperature in spray dryer on the physical properties and antioxidant activity of the tablet from mahkota dewa fruit extract. Extraction process was performed by percolation technique with ethanol 70%. Extracts were made into powder using a spray dryer with a variation of drying temperature. The tablets were produced by direct compression method then the physical properties of powder, tablets physical properties and antioxidant activity were tested. Based on the results, the tablet with drying temperature of 70°C produced 6.9 ± 0.52 kg hardness, 7.38 ± 0.21 minutes disintegration time and 6.80 ± 2.85 %EDA. Tablet with drying temperature of 90°C produced 7.55 ± 0.35 kg hardness, 7.37 ± 0.11 minutes disintegration time, and 3.68 ± 0.73 %EDA. Tablet with drying temperature of 110°C produced 8.33 ± 0.21 kg hardness, 8.49 ± 0.08 minutes disintegration time, and 1.84 ± 0.87 %EDA. The results of this research showed that the increasingly of spray dryer temperature effect on the higher of tablet hardness and disintegration time, also decrease the anti oxcidant activity (p < 0.05)

    The development of recombinant DNA technology and the emerging field of synthetic biology have open up a more advanced era of biotechnology. The discoveries are developed to solve the existing problems in the community.The presence of the iGEM competition initiated by the iGEM Foundation since 2003 adding up new data and a new discovery that is constantly being improved upon, so that peoples’ interest and concern with synthetic biology in the world are increasing every year, including in Indonesia.This paper discusses the idea of design to develop an expression system with a synthetic biology approach using standard parts listed on the iGEM website.The system design uses Escherichia coli as its chassis to have the capability as an iron waste bioaccumulator agent in the waters. This draft is expected to be one of the contributions for the future of the development of synthetic biology ideas, research, and applications in handling environmental problems in Indonesia

    Pantai Baru area of Deli Serdang is located on the East Coast of Sumatera that has been as Important Bird Area (IBA). The wetland type of this area are consisted of ponds, mangroves, and mudflat that occupied by shorebirds both for feeding and resting area. This study aimed to analyze the diversity and potential food of shorebirds Pantai Baru area. Concentration count method and Corer methord were used to collect the shorebirds and macrozoobenthos data. The study found 19 species of shorebirds and 21 species of macrozoobenthos. The diversity index of shorebirds ranged from 1.89 to 2.50 on medium category with the evenness index ranged from 0.84 to 0.97 with high category, while diversity index of macrozoobenthos was 1.09 on medium category with evenness index 0.36 on small category
