Land suitability evaluation is a crucial component that supports the sustainable development of aquaculture. One economically valuable commodity in this field is the grouper fish. Kulisusu Bay, located in North Buton Regency, is an area with potential for grouper culture in floating cages. The objective of this research is to analyze the suitability of the land in Kulisusu Bay for floating cage aquaculture of grouper. The study begins by identifying key parameters that directly affect the success of aquaculture activities. These parameters include primary and secondary data that are used to build spatial data. Subsequently, a spatial model is constructed based on this data, resulting in a spatial database. Each parameter is then weighted and scored. The final step involves spatial overlay modeling, where the weighted and scored results are used to generate a land suitability map. The research results show that a significant portion of 2,253 hectares is highly suitable, with an additional 810 hectares being suitable for the activity. These areas are primarily concentrated in the central region of Teluk Kulisusu. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the waters of Teluk Kulisusu have great potential for the development of grouper culture in floating cages. However, the support of various stakeholders, including the government, is necessary to ensure that this aquaculture activity is sustainable by implementing environmentally friendly culture practices

    Get PDF
Teaching development in maximum value of a function of two variables is reported in this paper. Based on an experience in teaching numerical method, difficulty in determining step size of steepest ascent gives an idea to covert the function into one variable, so that we can solve numerically by standar method for that function, such as Newton method. Here, we present some examples to support that development

The eruption of Mount Krakatau in 2018, along with high waves, has impacted the coastal conditions of Kalianda Beach. The parameters for planning the revetment include significant wave height, highest high water level (HHWL), refraction and shoaling coefficients, wave set-up, and SLR. Wave data processing was conducted using the FT Type I. The extreme wave 50-year period has a height (Hr) of 2.22 m and a period (Tr) of 14.67 s. The wave transformation coefficients for refraction and shoaling, which are 0.74 and 1.44 respectively, lead to a deformation wave height of 2.19 m at a depth of 5 m. Admiralty tide analysis yielded a tidal range element at MSL of 0.94 m, which serves as the datum for elevation point 0. The HHWL from MSL is 0.73 m, wave set-up is 0.58 m due to breaking waves at 3.43 m, and SLR is 0.16 m, leading to a DWL of 1.46 m. The wave run-up varies according to the type of revetment, boulder type elevations id 4.60 m, tetrapod type is 3.80 m, and dolos type is 4.40 m. Differences elevation are attributed to different wave run-up every type of revetment material, run-up of the type  material boulder is 2.83 m, run-up of tetrapod is 2.08 m, and dolos is 2.67 m

Several Land Parcel Geometry issues in Indonesia's Land Registration Process, such as parcel overlapping, gaps between parcels, and incorrect parcel shapes and sizes, are currently being addressed through a block adjustment approach. One crucial aspect of the block adjustment process is determining control points that tie the parcel geometry to the land coordinate system. Detailed Observations and measurements of parcel points in the field and aerial photographs established these control or tie points. Rectifying land parcels requires many control points, requiring substantial time and effort. The automation phase is critical to expedite the control point identification process. This research uses artificial intelligence techniques to identify control points in very high-resolution orthophoto mosaics. The method employed for control point identification involves the Segment Anything Model (SAM) algorithm to segment parcel boundary indications accurately. Enhance the quality of segmentation results conducted by fine-tuning, followed by centerline extraction and refinement of the extracted data. Based on the segmentation, a SAM model capable of accurately segmenting building objects is attained, After the centerline extraction process and modifications to the existing geometric operations within the GIS Tool,  at the edges of buildings, fences, and walls derived points. These points can serve as control point indications in the block adjustment process
