AGAMA DAN POLITIK: Studi Pemikiran Soekarno tentang Relasi Agama dan Negara
This paper examines the basic state relating to religion and the state. Which of these reforms emerged as a different response between Islamic nationalist groups and secular nationalist groups. Islamic nationalist groups ask for a state based on religion. While secular functionalist groups believe that in the basic formulation of the state, religion must be separated from the state. The first opinion (Islamic nationalists) is based that the majority of Indonesia’s population is Muslim, and conversely the second group holds that Indonesia is a plural state consisting of various groups by wanting Pancasila as the basis of the state. This paper uses descriptive literature study method, meaning that materials are collected from various literatures in order to collect data relating to religious and state relations according to Sukarno. So that it can be understood that the separation of religion and state in Sukarno’s view there are at least three main points. Besides that, Sukarno’s thoughts were also inspired by Kemal Attatur from Turkey and Ali Abdurraziq and other reformers. The separation of religion and state is done for the sake of national unity, bearing in mind that the Indonesian nation is a plural nation. The separation of religion and state in question will not rule out the teachings of Islam, and the building of nationalism in question is not chauvinism, but nationalism which makes Indonesian people become servants of God who live in the spirit and soul of religion.
Kritik Ignaz Goldziher dan Pembelaan Musthofa al Azami terhadap Hadis dalam Kitab Shahih al-Bukhari
Criticism of the hadith will always appear, even though the scholars have agreed that the hadith is valid. This can be seen from the Sahih Bukhari book, which has been agreed by the ulama’ as a valid hadith book, but still received criticism from an orientalist named Ignaz Goldziher. Ignaz revealed that not all hadith listed in Sahih Bukhari are authentic, some of them are dhaif and maudhu’. In addition, Ignaz criticized the method used by Imam al Bukhari in researching hadith. According to him, Imam al Bukhari only focused on sanad and forgot the matan. Ignaz\u27s criticism led to the conclusion that the traditions contained in Sahih Bukhari were not authentic from the Prophet Muhammad. According to him, these traditions were the result of fabrication by the generations after the Prophet. This conclusion is also corroborated by the reason for the codification of the hadith that occurred long after the Prophet generation. Responding to Ignaz\u27s criticism, Musthofa al Azami (Muslim scholar) revealed that all of Ignaz\u27s criticisms were baseless and could not be validly established as truth
CHARISMATIC AUTHORITY IN THE TRADITION OF READING HIZB HIRZ AL-JAUSHAN AT PESANTREN HIDAYATUL MUBTADI-AAT
Muslim society’s acceptance of a hadith is manifested in many behaviors, one of which is the use of the hadith sentences as a prayer and dhikr that manifests in a ḥizb. The hadith used as part of the ḥizb is a hadith containing prayers taught by Allah to the Prophet during the battle of Uhud. This hadith is known as the Jawshân Hadith, so the ḥizb born from the act of interpreting the hadith is called the ḥizb Ḥirz al-Jawshân. This study aims to find motives that encourage the community, especially students at Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadi-aat, in the reception of the hadith in the form of ḥizb reading. To achieve this purpose, this study uses a field study method using Marx Weber’s charismatic authority approach. This research found that the reading, which was done by santri Hidayatul Mubtadi-aat, was a form of performative effort on Jawshân hadith. This is based on a shift in the understanding of the hadith from the informative function to the performative function in the time of al-Ḥusayn. The reading, which was done by santri Hidayatul Mubtadi-aat, was not caused by their understanding of the hadith content, but rather due to the encouragement from outside of themselves to accept the hadith. The encouragement comes from Kiai, who has a charismatic factor so that santri submit and obey without knowing the reasons for the order
DOKTRIN TASAWUF DALAM KITAB FUSHUS AL-HIKAM KARYA IBN ‘ARABI
Ibn ‘Arabi was an Islamic thinker and a well-known Sufi figure among Sufi figures who had an extraordinary influence on the development of Islamic thought until now. His knowledge and thoughts really have a very high imaginative power, as seen in many of his works, which until now have never been bored by their readers. Fushus al-Hikam, which is his monumental work, besides al-Futuhat al-Makkiyah. The Book of Fushus al-Hikam (Ring of Wisdom Binding / String of Pearls of Wisdom) is a relatively shorter work than the Futuhat, but it is the most widely read and suggested by the reviewer (perhaps because it is the most difficult), as well as the most influential and most famous. This book was compiled in 627 AH / 1229 CE, ten years before he died. According to Ibn ‘Arabi himself, the content in this work was entirely based on the inspiration of his spiritual knowledge from the Prophet who held a book in his hand and he ordered to take it and bring it to the world so that people could benefit from it
PEMAKNAAN SYAIR LI KHAMSATUN DI TENGAH PANDEMI COVID-19 PERSPEKTIF LIVING ISLAM
This research explores the historical dimensions and the episteme phenomena in spreading the recitation of the Khamsatun poem in the middle of the Javanese Muslim community in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Historically, this poem has functioned as a means to invoke protection from epidemics in the form of reviving religious rituals in people\u27s social beliefs. Therefore, to find the social meaning of this poem, this research uses the Hans-Georg Gadamer hermeneutic approach in seeing the mediation of community understanding related to the meaning of poetry. This study concludes that Islam responds to various incidents that befall their followers in various ways, one of which is to ask for protection from the plague through prayer in the form of poetry. Lil Khamsatun Poetry is identical as a ritual of Dhikr in the Sha Dhiliyah Tariqah is objectified in the community, so they feel safe and protected from COVID-19. This process shows that the facts about COVID-19 are not enough just to be seen from a rational and health perspective but also it can be seen as a phenomenon of the response of the Muslim community to the epidemic through reviving religion in social life
IMPLIKASI PENYANDINGAN SALAT DAN ZAKAT PERSPEKTIF SEMIOTIKA
The Qur\u27an has the structure and rules of language that are part of its i\u27jaz (miracle). It has a deep meaning, even a secret in every syntactic structure. One of them is the mention of salat and zakat in many verses. The mention of these two services suggests that certain objectives are not merely literal interpretations. Therefore, in-depth studies are needed to look for reason and meaning contained therein. To achieve this goal, this research uses the semiotics method, which emphasizes its discussion on the sign system to look for the meaning that is in the marker. From searches conducted related to the theme of the discussion, 27 verses were found that contain the words salat and zakat together in one place. The verses are found in one concept, which is about faith in God. Nevertheless, the mention of salat and zakat in various verses has a different context. First, concerning the Children of Israel. Second, regarding the formation of faith through deeds. Third, the context related to jihad efforts. Fourth, signs of believers. Fifth, efforts to repent. And sixth, as an intermediary get mercy. This study also found that the mention of salat and zakat together and related to the element of faith indicated that salat and zakat were suggestions for connecting God, humans, and society in a circle. This shows that this study provides a reinforcing argument in the arguments of Toshihiko Izutsu

MENAGIH HAK BERAGAMA MUSLIM AHMADIYAH DAN SYIAH SAMPANG DALAM PERSPEKTIF NALAR MAQÂṢIDÎ
This article responds to the issue of human rights (HAM) from the perspective of maqâṣidî’s reasoning (maqâṣid asy-syarî‘ah). Considering that human rights violations have always been being a boomerang in the life of Indonesian society. It could be seen like what happened to the Shia people in Sampang whose right have been lost to enjoy their life in peace and worship their religious rights freely and safely in their homeland. A similar case has been experienced by several Ahmadiyah congregations. In this case, the writer elaborates the maqâṣid concept which has been continued its development along the time. According to ‘Izzuddin bin ‘Abd as-Salâm, the purpose of Islamic law is to create benefit and reject the damage for human being, both in this world and in the hereafter. The highest benefit of Islamic law is to maintain and keep the religion (ḥifẓ ad-dîn), soul (ḥifẓ an-nafs), reason (ḥifẓ al-‘aql), descent (ḥifẓ an-nasl), and property (ḥifẓ al-mâl) . These five things are known as aḍ-ḍarûriyyah al-khamsah (the five primary). Later, some maqâṣidî scholars (such as Ibn ‘Âsyûr, ‘Allâl al-Fâsî, Jamâluddîn ‘Aṭiyyah, and Yusûf al-Qarâḍâwî) developed the scope of maqâṣid asy-syarî‘ah. So that, it is not restricted to the five primary matters only, but also to several other primary matters, such as justice, freedom, equality and human rights. On the other side, Muḥammad az-Zuḥailî views that the concept of aḍ-ḍarûriyyah al-khamsah is the basis of human rights itself. Because, ḥifẓ ad-dîn, ḥifẓ an-nafs, ḥifẓ al-‘aql, ḥifẓ an-nasl, and ḥifẓ al-mâl do not only mean to maintain, but also include the meaning of rights, namely: the right to religion, the right to life, the right to think and freedom of thought, family rights, and property rights
The Concept of Pious Children in the Movie "Surau dan Silek": A Living Hadith Study
This article delves into the reception of prophetic hadith in the movie “Surau dan Silek”, bringing with itself an assumption that human activities result from the attempts to understand, either textually or contextually, to the Quran and hadith. Employing reception theory, this article finds that the reception of the hadith in the movie “Surau dan Silek” is mostly exegetical and functional. In some cases the text of the hadith appear as part of the dialogue. In some other cases, the audience will only see the figures’ understanding of certain hadith. In either way, the main theme of the hadith dealt with throughout the movie is ‘being a pious child’. The script introduces ‘pious children’ as one of the so-called ‘amal jāriyah (continuous, never ending rewards) and goes on with the quite detail narrative of the characters of the ‘pious children’. This in itself shows that there has been a transformation of religious ideas, from the silent, not moving text in arid manuscripts to the colorful, cheerful yet religious characters. It is the technological development that allows such visual transformation to go off. It thus provides the society with quite new alternative ways to access and further understand prophetic hadith
