    The Perception and Attitudes Toward Learning English as A Foreign Language of Grade 4 Students, Thailand

    The purpose of this research study was to identify whether there are significant relationship and differences in perception of and attitudes toward learning English as a foreign language (EFL) of Grade 4 low-scoring and high-scoring students at Witayanont School, Thailand. A total of 70 students were surveyed in this study. The instruments used to collect the quantitative data were Perception of learning questionnaire developed by Alkaff (2013) and Learning Attitudes Questionnaire by SIL International (Orwig, 1995). Correlational analysis using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient to determine the relationship between the research variables and Independent Samples t-test was used to determine the differences between the research variables. The research found that Grade 4 students had nearly positive perception and attitudes toward learning EFL, English as a foreign language, in both low-scoring and high-scoring groups. Also, the research found a significant, positive, strong correlation between perception of and attitudes toward learning EFL in low-scoring students, and a significant, positive, moderate correlation in high-scoring students. Moreover, the research revealed that there was no significant difference between perception of learning EFL in low-scoring and high-scoring students, and also no significant difference between attitudes toward learning EFL in both groups

    VOCATIONAL STUDENTS’ SATISFACTION OF THE SYNCHRONOUS ONLINE LEARNING IN LAO LANGUAGE COURSE

    Purpose: As the backdrop of this reaseach is online teaching via asynchronous online learning, this research examined the factors and effects of intrinsic motivation (IML), perceived interactivity (PI), attitude (AT), and perceived ease of use (PEU) on satisfaction with learning among students of Laotian language courses in vocational colleges. Design Data and Methodology: Employing a questionnaire survey, data were collected from 57 students majoring in Laotian language at a vocational and technical college in Yunnan Province— 16 males and 41 females. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to analyze the data. Results: The study revealed that student satisfaction was influenced by factors such as intrinsic motivation (IML), perceived interactivity (PI), and perceived ease of use (PEU). Specifically, perceived interactivity (PI) exerted the greatest influence on student satisfaction, explaining 65.9% of the variance (β=.659, p<.001), which was statistically significant. However, attitude (AT) did not significantly impact student satisfaction (β = -.543, p<.001). Conclusion: In conclusion, integrating students' perceived ease of use into the teaching process during online Laotian language instruction via asynchronous online learning could enhance student satisfaction. Such an online teaching mode could facilitate positive interactions between students and teachers as well as among students themselves

    Examining Parents on The Enhancement of Primary Students’ Behavioral Intention to Use Computer Painting in Chongqing, China

    Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the factors that impact primary students’ intention to use computer painting within primary schools in Chongqing, China. The research framework incorporates several critical variables, encompassing emotional value, economic value, social value, perceived usefulness, enjoyment, satisfaction, and behavioral intention. Research design, data, and methodology: Employing a quantitative approach and utilizing a questionnaire survey as the primary data collection instrument, a sample dataset was gathered from 500 parents representing students across three primary schools. Prior to disseminating the questionnaires, the research employed both the Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) and a preliminary Cronbach's Alpha test to ensure the questionnaire's validity and reliability. Subsequently, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were employed to scrutinize the dataset, assess the model's goodness of fit, and validate the causal relationships among the variables under investigation. Results: The results confirm that emotional value, economic value, perceived usefulness, and enjoyment significantly influence satisfaction and behavioral intention. However, social value has no significant influence on satisfaction. Conclusions: Educational institutions, policymakers, and parents should work together to establish a nurturing and well-informed ecosystem that facilitates the seamless integration of computer painting and similar technologies into primary education

    Factors Influencing Purchase Intention of Electric Vehicles of Consumers in Chengdu, China

    Purpose: This study aims to explore the factors influencing consumers' purchase intention of electric vehicles in Chengdu. The researcher used a quantitative survey method to conduct the study. The conceptual framework of this study includes perceived benefit, perceived risk, attitude, environmental concerns, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology: This research comprises 500 consumers who are residents of Chengdu, aging 18 years old and above, and possess a driver's license, with an adequate income to buy electric vehicles. The validity of the research instrument was assessed by item-objective congruence (IOC), and the reliability of internal consistency was assessed by Cronbach's alpha. In addition, various sampling techniques were used including judgmental, quota, and convenience sampling. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used as statistical analysis tools in this thesis to assess the data. Results: perceived benefit and perceived risk significantly influence attitude. Environmental concerns, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control are significant factors of purchase intention. Conversely, Attitude has no significant influence on purchase intention. Conclusions: This study provides valuable insights for stakeholders aiming to promote sustainable transportation solutions in the region, ultimately contributing to the broader goal of reducing carbon emissions and mitigating environmental impact

    Factors Affecting Behavioral Intention and Usage Behavior of Mixed Painting Education of Students in Chengdu, China

    Purpose: This study investigates factors affecting students’ behavioral intention and actual use of mixed painting education in Chengdu, China. The research model is perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, social influence, facilitation conditions, behavioral intention, and actual usage. Research design, data, and methodology: The researchers adopted a quantitative approach (n=500) and sent questionnaires to 9–11-year-old students' parents. The sampling techniques are purposive, quota, convenience sampling, when collecting data and distributing online and offline surveys. Before the data collection, the index of item-objective congruence (IOC) and Cronbach’s Alpha for pilot test (n=50) were employed. Structural equation modeling (SEM) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) are used for data analysis, including model fit, reliability, and structure validity. Results: Perceived ease of use has a significant effect on perceived usefulness. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use significantly affect attitude. Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, and facilitating conditions significantly affect behavioral intention. Behavioral intention has a significant effect on actual usage. Conclusion: The teaching plan of non-academic art schools should pay more attention to the behavior intention and practical application of students and parents. Therefore, operators should also pay attention to cultivating parents' awareness of investment in art education

    A Professional Development Model Enhancing Teacher Leadership Practices in Private Universities in Western District, Yangon, Myanmar

    Acknowledging the pivotal role of teachers in shaping institutional success and educational outcomes, this study aims to develop a professional development model that enhances teacher leadership practices in private universities in Western District, Yangon, Myanmar. The study was conducted in twelve private universities in Western District, Yangon, with a sample size of 196 teachers, including part-time and full-time faculty. The research employed both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Systematic reviews of literature sources informed the creation of survey questionnaires. These questionnaires were then used to analyse the needs assessments of teachers. Through a qualitative approach, seven teacher leadership practices were analysed: setting direction, developing people, redesigning the organisation, transformational leadership, participative leadership, distributed leadership and instructional leadership and they were validated with 5 experts. The analysis of the questionnaires revealed that teachers’ highest priority needs were (1) redesigning the organisation, (2) instructional leadership, (3) developing people, (4) setting direction, (5) participative leadership, (6) distributed leadership and (7) transformational leadership. Subsequently, a Professional Development Model was developed based on these findings. The model was validated by 15 experts from the higher education sector. The study concludes with recommendations for expanding the professional development model and discussing implications for policy and practice in Myanmar’s private university context. Recognizing teacher leadership's role in driving innovation, this professional development model holds significant potential for elevating educational standards and improving student outcomes within Myanmar's private universities.

    Enhancing Teacher Leadership to Improve Teachers’ Job Performance: A Case of Foreign Languages Department, Fundamental Education School (FES), Beijing Polytechnic (BP)

    The purpose of this study was to improve teachers’ job performance through enhancing teacher leadership with a four-month Organization Development Intervention (ODI) program in Foreign Languages Department, FES, BP. BP is a Vocation Education and Training (VET) college. This study employed mixed research methodology to study the outcomes and effectiveness of ODI program. 32 language teachers participated the program, responded the questionnaire at pre and post ODI stages, and 15 informants out of 32 participants answered interview questions after ODI. The objectives were to assess the current situation of teacher leadership in terms of teacher leadership awareness, teacher leadership knowledge, teacher leadership skills and teacher leadership collaboration; to design appropriated ODI activities and implement; to determine the significant difference of each variable between pre-ODI and post-ODI according to research findings; and to design future training plan based on juxtaposed results. Quantitative results presented significant differences comparing data at pre and post ODI stages in terms of teacher leadership awareness, teacher leadership knowledge, teacher leadership skills, teacher leadership collaboration, and teachers’ job performance. Qualitative results provided ODI reflection and deeper insights. Juxtaposed quantitative and qualitative results generated future training plan. Hence, this study concluded that teachers’ job performance could be improved through enhancing teacher leadership. Research hypotheses were tested.  Implications of this study and recommendations for future training plan were discussed.

    A Study of User Behavior in Meetings and Seminars in Nakhon Si Thammarat: Development Guidelines under the MICE Industry

    This research aims to explore the behavior and opinions of users attending meetings and seminars in Nakhon Si Thammarat, to propose development guidelines under the MICE industry. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative research methods. In the quantitative phase, a structured questionnaire was used to collect data from a sample of 400 participants. The analysis indicated that the primary purposes for attending MICE activities were exhibitions/trade shows, organizational meetings/seminars, and professional conferences. Additionally, most participants attended with friends and used private vehicles for transportation. In the qualitative phase, focus group discussions were conducted with representatives from relevant agencies. Content analysis showed that key factors influencing the decision to attend included the attractiveness of the event, service standards, the venue, and support from both the government and private sectors. The findings of this research can be used to develop management strategies under the MICE industry in Nakhon Si Thammarat, enhancing its effectiveness in attracting target groups and promoting sustainable growth of the MICE industry in the region.

    This research studied factors influencing purchase intention toward “BYD” Electronic Vehicles of office workers in Bangkok to analyze significant factors that BYD need to focus on Thailand market segment. This study aims to examine factors influencing purchase intention toward “BYD” Electronic Vehicles of office workers in Bangkok to be the guideline for BYD company in order to achieve selling target and maintain the highest market share in electric vehicles market in Thailand. The theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Theory of PEST analysis were applied to find the preliminary significant factors towards BYD purchase intention. Researcher applied Convenience Sampling Method and Snowball Sampling Method in this study. This study was quantitative research which applied Cronbach’s Alpha, Descriptive Analysis, Correlation Analysis, and Multiple Linear Regression to analyze the level of influencing of independent variables (Attitude, Subjective Norm, Environmental Concern, Government Policy, Charging Infrastructure) to dependent variable (Purchase Intention). The questionnaire has been distributed to people who work in organizations located in Bangkok and are interested in purchasing electronic vehicles in the future and received valid answers from 400 respondents. The result of this study can be summarized that government policy positively impacts charging infrastructure and charging infrastructure also positively impacts purchase intention towards “BYD” Electronic Vehicle. Not only charging infrastructure factors, but the result also indicated that attitude, subjective norm are the factors which showed positively impact towards “BYD” Electronic Vehicle purchase intention. On the other hand, environmental concern and government policy have no significant towards “BYD” Electronic Vehicle. The result of this study can highlight the significantly key point that BYD should consider if BYD would like to maintain the status of Thailand market leading. Moreover, BYD can extend the result of this study to applied with the company strategy, marketing strategy, and stakeholder strategy for increasing BYD competitive advantage

    The Factors Influencing Chinese Parents’ Online Course Purchase Intention

    This study investigates the factors influencing parental purchase intentions regarding online courses for their children in China. Through quantitative analysis involving 410 participants, we found that performance expectations, effort expectations, social influence, and facilitating conditions significantly influence parental purchase intentions. The findings underscore the importance of considering these factors in designing and promoting online education products tailored to the needs of children and their parents. Ultimately, understanding these factors can contribute to enhancing the quality and accessibility of online education, ensuring equitable access to educational resources, and providing enriching learning experiences for a broader audience. These factors explained parental purchase intentions at 74.8 percent (Adjusted R2 = 0.748), which facilitating conditions was most significant influenced parental purchase intentions at 28.1 percent (Beta=0.281)
