Studies on efficacy of peptide cosmetic ingredients focused on stratum corneum function
Get PDF武庫川女子大学博士（薬科学）我々の身体は皮膚で覆われ、バリア機能と保湿機能を有し、その主体は皮膚最外層の角層が担っている。角層細胞は死んだ細胞だが、内部に天然保湿因子(natural moisturizing factors, NMFs)等を含むとともに、種々の酵素活性を有し、代謝が活発に行われている。角層は最外層であるため種々の外的な刺激を受け状態が損なわれるが、我々は予防や改善の目的で化粧品を使用する。本研究では皮膚上の事象を調べ、化粧品原料であるペプチド(加水分解ダイズタンパク: hSP、加水分解シルク: SILK)の新たな有用性を示すことを目的とした。いずれの研究もテープストリッピング法により採取したテープ角層を用い、ペプチドとの相互作用に関する研究を行った。
第一章では、角層ダメージである角層カルボニルタンパク(stratum corneum carbonyl protein, SCCP)生成の予防に関する研究を行った。テープ角層に紫外線を照射するとSCCPが増加すること、皮脂に含まれる不飽和脂質スクアレンの過酸化によりSCCP誘導が促進されることを明らかにした。この手法を応用し、hSPがSCCP誘導を抑制することも見出した。hSPはカルボニル化のターゲットである塩基性アミノ酸残基を多く有するため、SCCP誘導を効果的に抑制したと考えられた。
第二章では、角層プロテアーゼによるペプチドの代謝に関する研究を行った。テープ角層にSILKを作用させると分解されアミノ基量が増加することを見出した。この分解に関わる角層プロテアーゼの性状解析を行ったところ、bleomycin hydrolase (BH)の関与が強く示唆された。BHは、NMFs主要成分のアミノ酸生成に関与するアミノペプチダーゼで、本研究によって外因性ペプチドの分解にも関わることが示された。
本研究では、化粧品原料として古くから利用されてきたペプチドを検討対象とし、SCCP誘導に対して抑制効果を示すこと、角層プロテアーゼにより分解されていることを突き止めた。これらの結果は、塗布されたペプチドと角層との相互作用を示したもので、実際の皮膚上でも生じている事象と考える。今後、化粧品およびペプチド化粧品原料の新たな価値を見出すための重要な研究手法となる。doctoral thesi
Gender Attitudes, Career Design, and Life Planning of Incoming Students 2022: On Launching the Educational Program SOAR at Mukogawa Womenʼs University
Get PDF本稿では，2022 年度武庫川女子大学入学生を対象に実施されたオンライン意識調査から，ジェンダー，キャリアデザイン，ライフプランに関する結果をまとめる（n=1,273, 回収率49.2%）．新入生は，女性に関するジェンダー・ステレオタイプを克服する兆しだけでなく，大学生活を通したキャリア教育に前向きな姿勢を示していた．また，約3 割が常勤で働き続けたいと回答したが，約4 割がライフイベントを契機に退職を想定しており，再就職における雇用形態のばらつきにみられるように，既に多様なライフプランを描いていた．人々の働き方に対する価値観・意識が劇的な変革期を迎えている現在，「MUKOJO未来教育プログラムSOAR」による教育がどのような影響を及ぼすのかは未知数である．本学における教育効果の検証には今後も調査を継続し，新たな時代の武庫女生像を捉えていくことが求められる．This report summarizes the results of an online survey on gender attitudes, career design, and life planning administered to the students in Mukogawa Womenʼs University incoming class of 2022（ n = 1,273, response rate 49.2%）. Not only did they show signs of overcoming gender stereotypes, but they also had positive attitudes toward receiving career education in college. Whereas approximately 30% of them intended to seek full-time employment after graduation, nearly 40% of them expected to leave their jobs when a life event occurred.They had already drawn up diverse life plans at the time of matriculation and reported varying expectations regarding subsequent re-employment. Given that womenʼs participation in society is making continuing progress, it remains to be seen how college education will affect these studentsʼ post-graduation prospectus. To evaluate the educational effectiveness of SOAR, it will be necessary to conduct a follow-up survey with these students when they graduate, as well as those of later classes in the future.departmental bulletin pape
The effect of objective and subjective knowledge about earthquakes on earthquake preparedness
Get PDFNatural disasters have often led to heavy losses. Therefore, we believe that natural disasters are high-risk phenomena; thus, it is necessary to take countermeasures against natural disasters to minimize losses. Accordingly, Japanese people have many opportunities to learn about not only the mechanism of earthquakes but also the significance of protecting themselves from such events from an early age. However, some people in Japan do not take earthquake disaster prevention actions. Thus, the question arises: will what I have learned about the mechanism of earthquakes and how to protect myself from earthquakes lead to earthquake disaster prevention actions?
This study aims to examine the influence of subjective and objective knowledge on the mechanisms of earthquake occurrence and earthquake disaster prevention behavior. A questionnaire-based survey was administered to 155 undergraduate students.
On the one hand, the results of the survey show that correct knowledge about the mechanism of earthquake occurrence does not promote disaster prevention behavior but increases the intention to prepare for evacuation. On the other hand, the results showed that people who subjectively felt that they had sufficient knowledge vis-à-vis the aforementioned were more likely to take disaster prevention actions.departmental bulletin pape
