Epistemic injustice towards trans people’s first-person authority in assuming informed decisions has been promoted by mental health professions in general, filtering transness through gender dysphoria and full bodily transitioning. The encounter between psychologists and trans mental health service users has thus been mediated by diagnostic labels, biomedical protocols, performance expectations and standardised means of gender assessment, in a way that the actual relationship has been disregarded. Gender identity assessment in concrete has been influencing mental and bodily representations of both assessors and subjects. Psychometrics, projective techniques and clinical interviews have all participated in the overall feeling of distrust and enstrangement between the two parts of the counselling or therapeutic bond. Furthermore, research on trans healthcare is disproportionately Anglophone and US-centred, making Western contexts that are not Anglo-American seem like small-scale or copycat versions of the dominant one. The purpose of this study was to examine the mental and bodily representations of gender identity as they emerge from this dual dynamic. A conceptual framework focusing on the intersubjective configuration of meaning-making around transness was perceived as optimal for this examination. In addition, an up-to-date view of the therapeutic relationship, considering the intersections that arise in (not equidistantly) peripheral sites of the West or the Global North, seemed pertinent for analysis. Spain and Greece have been selected as two territories for a situated cross-cultural comparison on the matter, due to first-hand access and sociocultural particularities that allow space for exploration. Trans people and psychologists were recruited in both countries (n= 37, approx. 8-9 participants per group) to speak about their experiences and attitudes toward the psychological encounter. The qualitative design of the study was interpretive-narrative, drawing on queer, trans, feminist and STS methodologies, and involved a semi-structured interview model that was translated and adapted to Spanish and Greek. Interviews took place between December 2019 and June 2021, and counted with the informed consent of the participants. Condifentiality was handled through the anonymisation of potentially identifying data. The interviews were transcribed, coded, horizontally and vertically analysed in their original language, and then translated in English, with constant reflections surrounding the linguistic and cultural power dynamics. A mix of narrative, thematic and interpretive analysis was employed to delve into trans people’s and psychologists’ narratives. The two groups of interviews were then put into conjunction to further examine the issue of gender assessment. Findings point towards the lack of a shared framework of understanding gender identity within the psychological encounter; the mental and bodily representations established by trans people and psychologists, when seen as groups, differ from each other. Moreover, gender identity assessments continue to be carried out; however, the type of tools and the procedure that will be carried out for it depend on each psychologist. There seems to be a cultural component in the formulation of representations about transness, which can be key in decentralising the production of knowledge, without even crossing the barrier of “the West”: the analysis of sociohistorical, legal, linguistic and healthcare-related parameters in Spain and Greece was decisive in this juxtaposition. Lastly, the role of language appeared to be crucial in configurating trans subjectivities. Future research may benefit from further situated cross-cultural comparisons which transparently account for cisgender, cislingual and academic privileg
an entrepreneur and a consumer, the general
conditions on the main subject of the contract
should overcome a double control provided for both
in the LCGC (Law on General Conditions of
Contracts) and in the TRLCU (Recast Text of the
Law on Consumers and Users), as a prerequirement
to ascertain its unfair nature if it is the
cas. In the first place, the so-called control of
incorporation aimed to check whether the
consumer (borrower) was given the chance to
access the contract content set by the professional
all by himself (general conditions of the contract or
non-negotiated clauses) and that such clauses were
drafted in plain and intelligible language. Secondly,
the transparency control, whose purpose is to
determine whether the consumer understood the
economic and legal consequences of his commitmen

Impact of temperature and NaOH concentration on the hydrothermal synthesis of zeopolymers (zeolite-geopolymer composites) from kaolin-marine plastic aggregates
The hydrothermal synthesis of zeopolymers (zeolite-geopolymer composites) using kaolin and marine plastic as a porogenic additive was studied, focusing on the influence of temperature and NaOH concentration. Spherical specimens (Ø ∼ 10 mm) were shaped from a kaolin-based mixture containing 5 wt% marine plastic and fired at 600 ◦C. These were subsequently subjected to hydrothermal treatment at 90, 120, and 150 ◦C under three different NaOH concentrations: 2, 3, and 4 mol/L. Results show that zeolitization is enhanced with increasing temperature and NaOH molarity, with zeolite A being predominant at 90 and 120 ◦C (33–44%), while cancrinite becomes dominant (47%) at 150 ◦C with 4 M NaOH. The reduction in total porosity after treatment, particularly at 90 ◦C, led to decreased water absorption and increased density in the resulting lightweight aggregates (1.66–1.82 g/cm3). Crushing strength improved markedly, rising from 0.1 MPa in the solely fired aggregates to 2.1–3.4 MPa in the zeopolymerized samples, a 19- to 30-fold increase. Notably, the samples treated at 150 ◦C with 2 M and 3 M NaOH combined high strength (3.4 MPa) with low density (1.66 and 1.70 g/cm3). A transport test on a zeolite A-rich sample showed strong ammonium adsorption capacity (Kd = 3782 L/kg), indicating its potential for water decontamination beyond structural uses. These findings highlight the key role of synthesis parameters in tailoring material properties, while emphasizing environmental benefits associated with marine plastic reuse (a major pollutant in marine ecosystems) and lower processing temperatures than in the ceramics industry and lightweight aggregates (600 ◦C vs. 900–1300 ◦C)This research was conducted thanks to funding from the following projects: (1) ZEUS, ref.: PID2023-146912OA-I00, funded by MICIU/ AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by FEDER, EU; (2) OZEONIC, framed within the 6th Edition of the Premios Mares Circulares (Circular Seas Awards) in its Research Projects 2023 modality, funded by Asociaci´ on Chelonia and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners; (3) HydroMat, ref. Predicting distress in parents of individuals with autism. experiential avoidance and sense of coherence
Research has systematically found a high prevalence of psychological distress among parents of autistic individuals. Thisstudy assessed the fit of a theoretical model examining the role of experiential avoidance and sense of coherence (i.e. comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness) as predictors of parental depression, anxiety, and stress. 115 parents of autistic individuals participated in the study. A path analysis predicting depression, anxiety, and stress was conducted using Mplus7. The tested model showed a good fit to the data, accounting for 46.50%, 43.50%, and 60.50% of the variance in depression, anxiety, and stress, respectively. The results revealed that (1) higher experiential avoidance and lower meaningfulness, comprehensibility, and family income predicted greater depressive symptoms, (2) higher experiential avoidance and reduced comprehensibility predicted higher anxiety, (3) higher experiential avoidance and lower meaningfulness predicted higher stress, and (4) higher levels of self-injurious behaviour predicted lower comprehensibility. As revealed by these findings, experiential avoidance emerged as a statistically significant predictor across outcomes. However, the relative importance of the remaining predictors varied with the outcome being tested. Also, it is also noteworthy that selfinjurious behaviour negatively predicted comprehensibility, suggesting that parents may have had limited understanding of this behaviour. Altogether, these findings may provide nuanced understanding on the relationship between sense of coherence, experiential avoidance, and parental distress, and provide potential intervention targets to help parents caring for autistic individualsThis study was supported by the Spanish Autism Federation (FESPAU), the Ministry of Social Rights and 2030 Agenda, and the ONCE Foundatio
Combination of few-layer bismuthene and glutamate dehydrogenase for enhanced glutamate biosensing
This work reports the development of an enzymatic electrochemical biosensor for glutamate detection based on few-layer bismuthene hexagons (FLB), a two-dimensional nanomaterial with outstanding electrocatalytic and biocompatible properties. FLB was synthesized by a wet chemistry method and integrated into screen-printed graphene electrodes (SPGrE) to provide a stable and biocompatible conductive surface for the immobilization of redox enzyme glutamate dehydrogenase (GLDH). The combination of FLB with GLDH enabled the efficient electrochemical detection of glutamate through the oxidation of enzymatically generated NADH. The resulting nanostructured biosensing platform exhibits a wide linear detection range (6.54–125 μ (1.96 μ M), a low detection limit M), and high selectivity toward common interfering compounds. Each step of the bioplatform fabrication was characterized using electrochemical, microscopic and spectroscopic techniques, confirming the successful immobilization of FLB and GLDH. The applicability of the biosensor was further validated by glutamate determination in human serum and food samples, demonstrating excellent analytical performance and storage stability over 20 days. These results highlight the potential of FLB as a key nanomaterial for the development of highly sensitive and selective enzymatic electrochemical biosensorsThis work has been supported by the Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades (TED2021–129738B-I00, PID2022- 142262OA-I00, PID2023-1508440B-I00 and RED2022-134120-T
Tierra y poder: devastaciones.
La óptica del texto se concentra en la lectura: entre filología y filosofía, entre historia y política, se sitúa esta contribuciónThis work examines the semantics of devastation and destruction in the work of two important authors of the 20th century: Martin Heidegger and Carl Schmitt. In order to do so, the text identifies the relationships that their works establish between the concepts of earth/land and power. The historical framework of the study is the period known as "European Civil War" (1914-1945), extending its length to the second German postwar period, with the aim of identifying the political variations involved in the authors' positions and concepts. The study traces the diagnoses that Martin Heidegger and Carl Schmitt made regarding the enormous destruction of the historical cycle, with the condition of having been, to some extent, promoters of the same violence they tried to conjure. In short, the study constitutes an expedition of recognition to the dark times of political thought, trying to identify the meaning of the 20th Century as a philosophical-historical category in the work of both authors. The following pages are dedicated to philosophy and history, leading into the history of philosophy itself. Likewise, the approach constitutes a political reading that challenges the authors' claims of conceptual neutrality and discursive autonomy. The text’s perspective is concentrated in the operation of reading itself: this contribution takes place between philology, philosophy, history and politic
