Background: The increase in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases has become a serious threat, especially in the development of public health. Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) in Indonesia are predicted to experience a significant increase in 2030. Its chronic nature and attacking productive age, causes NCDs to not only be a health problem, but also affect the resilience of the national economy if not controlled properly, correctly and continuously. The purpose of this community service is to increase public knowledge and awareness in preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, stroke, heart disease and diabetes mellitus. Method: This activity is in the form of providing counseling in the Rawa Buntu Village Hall regarding non-communicable diseases & their prevention, PTM Nutrition, BMI counting (body mass index) exercises, and blood pressure checks to determine hypertension status and early detection of participants. Results: The results of blood pressure measurements showed that 25% had hypertension. While the BMI category is 41% with obesity BMI status and 22% with overweight BMI status. The mean posttest and pretest scores showed an increase in students' understanding of the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases after being given counseling or material explanations. Conclusion: One of the effective and efficient PTM controls is empowering and increasing community participation. Therefore, one way to reduce the prevalence of NCDs is to make individuals and families aware of reducing the prevalence rate, there is a need for further education at least at the family level regarding non-communicable diseases

When it comes to paying zakat, people prefer to do so at mosques. The role and functions of BAZNAS are still unknown to the majority of the public due to a lack of socialization and related information. Nevertheless, people already have a thorough understanding of why they pay zakat. Regarding zakat distribution, the community believes that zakat administrators, especially those serving at the mosques where they pay zakat, are fair and accurate in distributing zakat to the deserving recipients (mustahiq). Keywords: Zakat; Public Understanding; BAZNA

    Get PDF
The aim of this research is to find out the process and obstacles in implementing an eprints-based digital library for the development of an institutional repository in the Mataram College of Tourism (STP) library. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. Data sources use primary data and secondary data. Meanwhile, data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation and data analysis techniques use Data Reduction. Display (Data Presentation), and Conclusion Drawing/verification. The research results show that the application of Eprint was initiated by the Mataram Tourism College (STP) Library so that the Mataram Tourism College (STP) institutional repository was included in the webometric ranking of higher education repositories and to increase webometric ranking of the Mataram College of Tourism (STP) from the aspect of higher education rankings. In implementing EPrints as repository software there are several things that need to be prepared such as hardware, software and human resources (HR) who will operate the repository. Computer servers and networks used in repository management requires large and smooth network bandwidth because repository management with Eprints software is done online. The Mataram College of Tourism (STP) institutional repository contains 4 external entities which have their respective roles and are interconnected with each other, namely the administrator section, the editor section, the student user section, the user section (public). The features contained in this system really help librarians in managing students' final assignments/thesis

Implementation of the Integrated Archives Information System (Srikandi) Application at the Yogyakarta Harbor Health Office is an important step in supporting digital transformation, especially in the archives sector. With this system, the previously conventional archiving process becomes more efficient and environmentally friendly because it is paperless. Apart from that, the implementation of the Srikandi application is in line with efforts to increase awareness and order in archives which is part of the National Movement for Archives Awareness and Order. The use of the Srikandi application aims to improve effectiveness and efficiency in public services. This research aims to determine the extent of the implementation of the Srikandi Application and the obstacles faced. The theoretical concept used is Charles Edward III's implementation theory, namely communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The research method used is qualitative and is based on interviews, observation, and documentation. Storytelling is an activity carried out by someone to explain a concept, information, or other mere tales which can be done in writing or orally. This type of storytelling can be done with or without props. Storytelling is a universal communication method that has a big impact on humanity. It can be said that through good stories, children can not only learn about fun or entertainment, but also gain broader education. It is even more accurate to say that stories that highlight various aspects of children's creation and storytelling are an effective way to develop interest in reading. This research uses the Library Research method, namely the study of literature related to research and data collection through surveys. Interest is not an innate factor, but a taught factor. The interest and habit of reading, especially in children, cannot be overcome by itself. Therefore, it is necessary to develop habits and introduce reading. A child's love of reading is greatly influenced by the behavior of his teacher and the people around him. Children who enjoy learning often have teachers and tutors who can help them learn. The desire to learn can be cultivated in children by providing appropriate examples. Children love to imitate the attitudes and behavior of people they admire during their early childhood

    Get PDF
This study aims to evaluate the impact of project-based learning (PjBL) in mathematics on the development of 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. These skills are essential for preparing students to face the challenges of the modern era. However, traditional teaching methods often prove inadequate for optimizing these skills. Utilizing a 3×4 quasi-experimental factorial design, this study involved 90 students, proportionally selected from a population of 872 through random sampling. Data were collected using a learning style questionnaire, observations of teacher instructional methods, and a written test to measure 21st-century skills. Data were analyzed using tests for normality and two-way ANOVA. The results demonstrated that the PjBL approach significantly enhanced students' 21st-century skills (4Cs: Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity), particularly for those with a kinesthetic learning style and when employing technology-based teaching methods. The interaction between PjBL, students' learning styles, and teachers' instructional methods was found to be effective in fostering the development of these skills, especially in the areas of creativity and problem-solving. This research underscores the importance of innovative approaches in mathematics education to support the development of 21st-century skills
