The Role of Religious and Social Values in the Practice of the Sedekah Lang Tradition
Get PDFThe Sedekah Lang tradition is a hereditary custom that continues to be maintained and preserved by the community in Tepas Sepakat Village. This research aims to reveal how the implementation of the Sedekah Lang tradition and explore the existence of religious and social values contained in it in Tepas Sepakat Village, Brang Rea District, West Sumbawa Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with an ethnographic research type. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation techniques. While the data analysis techniques in this study used data reduction techniques, data presentation techniques, and conclusion drawing. Data validity techniques in this study are triangulation techniques, source triangulation, and time triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the Sedekah Lang tradition is coupled with activities including 1) pre-event of the Sedekah Lang tradition at this stage including, a) the formation of the committee structure, b) location preparation, c) time set for the event and d) announcement or invitation stage, 2) the course of the Sedekah Lang tradition is divided into several stages including the a) opening stage, b) remarks, c) lectures by religious leaders, d) prayers and dhikr, and e) closing. Apart from that, there is the existence of religious and social values contained in the implementation of the Sedekah Lang tradition in Tepas Sepakat Village
Ruin Probability Model for Disaster Insurance Companies: A Systematic Literature Review
Get PDFRuin probability modelling is a crucial aspect for insurance companies that is very important and urgent to maintain the company's solvency. Ruin probability modelling helps identify insolvency risks, so companies can take timely preventive measures before it is too late. This research will present a systematic literature review (SLR) using a bibliometric analysis approach with the support of VOSviewer software, utilising the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method. The data sources used in this study came from 3 databases, namely Scopus, ScienceDirect and Dimensions, which resulted in 9 articles relevant to the topic under study. The results identified research gaps that could be an opportunity for future exploration. This research is expected to provide academic and practical contributions in developing ruin risk mitigation strategies in disaster insurance companies facing natural disaster uncertainty
Integer Linear Programming for Patchwork Production Planning Optimization with Demand Uncertainty
Get PDFThis study develops an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) model to optimize monthly production planning for handcrafted patchwork MSMEs in Medan, Indonesia. The model incorporates key operational constraints, including production time, material and handling costs, labor, electricity, capital limits, and uncertain demand. Demand uncertainty is modeled deterministically using upper and lower bounds derived from historical field data. The objective function maximizes total profit while ensuring resource feasibility. A real-world case study involving five products across five artisans is presented, resulting in a maximum profit of IDR 12,469,900. The model is implemented using LINGO 18.0 and validated through sensitivity analyses. Results show that a 50% reduction in demand may reduce profit by up to 33.8%, while an increase in lead time can lower profit by 17.1%. These findings demonstrate the model’s robustness and its potential to serve as a decision-support tool for MSMEs facing volatile market conditions and operational constraints
Feature Selection Analysis for Diagnosing Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) Using Principal Component Analysis and the Naïve Bayes Model
Get PDFThe mental health illness known as narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) affects a person's capacity to preserve harmonious social interactions. Early diagnosis plays a crucial role in providing timely intervention and treatment. This study examines the effectiveness of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) for feature selection in diagnosing NPD using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The dataset utilized in this research was sourced from Open Psychometrics via Kaggle, followed by preprocessing, including data cleaning and dimensionality reduction through PCA. This study compares the performance of three Naïve Bayes models, Gaussian, Bernoulli, and Multinomial, to identify the most suitable classification approach. The findings reveal that Gaussian Naïve Bayes, when integrated with PCA, achieves the highest accuracy (91%), surpassing Bernoulli Naïve Bayes (80%) and Multinomial Naïve Bayes (69%). Implementing PCA significantly enhances computational efficiency and improves classification performance by eliminating irrelevant features and reducing data dimensionality. These results suggest combining PCA with Gaussian Naïve Bayes is a promising strategy for automating NPD diagnosis. Additionally, this study highlights the potential of machine learning in mental health evaluation and establishes the framework for further studies on hybrid models or other methods to improve prediction accuracy
Dari Marginalisasi Menuju Pemberdayaan: Studi Sosial Ekonomi Buruh Tani Di Nagari Silago Dharmasraya
Get PDFFenomena marginalisasi buruh tani merupakan masalah sosial-ekonomi yang kompleks, seringkali ditandai dengan terbatasnya akses terhadap sumber daya dan peluang. Dalam konteks inilah, penelitian ini mengkaji upaya pemberdayaan ekonomi buruh tani di Nagari Silago, Kabupaten Dharmasraya, melalui pembentukan Program Kelompok Tani Jaya Jorong Ampang Kuranji, beserta menganalisis dampak, faktor pendukung dan penghambatannya. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan berasal dari 5 pihak yaitu yaitu Wali Nagari, Petani, Buruh tani, Kepala Kelompok Tani dan Masyarakat. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan buruh tani dan partisipasi aktif mereka dalam kemitraan atau kolaborasi untuk pengambilan keputusan dan pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal, berperan penting dalam membantu mereka keluar dari kesulitan ekonomi dan mencapai kehidupan yang lebih mandiri dan sejahtera. THE INFLUENCE OF WORK DISCIPLINE, SCHOOL CULTURE, AND PRINCIPAL'S LEADERSHIP ON TEACHER PERFORMANCE IN STATE ALIYAH MADRASAH IN MATARAM CITY
Get PDFThe study is intended to analyze the extent to which work discipline, school culture, and principal leadership impact teacher performance in Madrasah Aliyah in the Mataram City area. This study applied a quantitative approach with ex-post facto methods and surveys. This research used a survey strategy, using questionnaires as a data collection tool. The research population consisted of all teachers in three states and Aliyah Madrasah in Mataram City, totaling 169 people. The research sample was selected through probability sampling techniques, so that 114 teachers from the three MAs were selected. For the data collection process, the questionnaires had been validated both expertly and through empirical tests to support the accuracy of the research. Testing of the validity and reliability of the instrument was carried out with the help of SPSS Version 26 software. The test results show that, partially, work discipline has a positive and significant impact on teacher performance with a regression coefficient of 0.459. School culture shows a negative influence on teacher performance with a regression coefficient of -0.176. Meanwhile, the leadership of the principal also has a significant positive effect on teacher performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.498. Simultaneously, these three variables have a significant impact on teacher performance, with an F value of 98.026, which is greater than the F value in the table of 2.68. These findings confirm that the improvement of teacher performance is greatly impacted by the level of work discipline, the quality of the principal's leadership, and the supportive school culture conditions
INTEGRATING DIGITAL FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT WITH LEARNING ANALYTICS TO IMPROVE STUDENT INTEREST IN LEARNING IN THE AGE OF AI
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the integration of digital formative assessment with learning analytics as a strategic approach to improving student learning interest in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). This study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA approach, examining 32 selected articles from databases such as Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, ERIC, DOAJ, and Scopus, spanning the years 2013 to 2024, in both Indonesian and English. Key findings from this article indicate that the integration of digital formative assessment and learning analytics not only enhances learning effectiveness but also significantly strengthens students' intrinsic motivation and learning interest. Personalized feedback generated from learning analytics has proven effective in fostering self-confidence, active engagement, and self-directed learning awareness among students. However, this study also revealed limitations in implementation, such as low teacher data literacy, technological infrastructure constraints, and a lack of studies specifically linking analytics features to the psychological dimensions of learning interest. Therefore, further research is needed with a broader sample, diverse educational contexts, and the development of more accurate instruments to measure the impact of this integration in depth. The findings of this study are expected to contribute theoretically and practically to the development of adaptive, personalized, and data-driven educational policies in the digital age
IMPLEMENTASI METODE GERAKAN UNTUK MENGHAFAL HADIS PADA ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN DI KB TK ISLAM AL AZHAR 64 BATURAJA
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai implemetasi dari metode gerakan untuk menghafal hadis pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di KB TK Islam Al Azhar 64 Baturaja, sekaligus menganalisa apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam menerapkan metode gerakan tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan secara langsung melalui wawancara, observasi, dan di dukung dengan hasil dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi metode gerakan dalam menghafal hadis pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di KB TK Islam Al Azhar 64 Baturaja telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan, metode ini terbukti dapat memudahkan anak dalam menghafal hadis sehari-hari. Metode ini dapat terlaksana dengan baik karena didukung oleh tenaga pendidik dalam hal ini guru yang sangat berperan dalam pelaksanaan metode gerakan tersebut. Sedangkan faktor penghambat adalah masih terbatasnya dukungan dan bantuan dari pihak orangtua. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi metode gerakan untuk menghafal hadis pada anak usia 4-5 tahun telah terlaksana dengan baik dan sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan
The Relevance of Al-Syahrastani's Al-Milal wa Al-Nihal Methodology to Contemporary Islamic Historiography
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to analyse the methodology and contributions of Al-Syahrastani's book Al-Milal wa Al-Nihal in Islamic historiography. This study is a literature review or bibliographic study using a descriptive qualitative approach and research on scientific articles and books relevant to this study. Al-Milal wa Al-Nihal by Al-Syahrastani was studied to explore its methodology's relevance and contribution to Islamic historiography. The results of the study indicate that by using a comprehensive descriptive analysis methodology and in-depth comparisons, there are no biased research results, which ultimately led to the book Al-Milal wa al-Nihal as the first work that objectively and systematically organises and presents the history of various religious sects and philosophical schools of thought. The conclusion of this study states that Al-Milal wa Al-Nihal by Al-Syahrastani is a highly significant contribution in maintaining the objectivity of historical writing and can be used as a reference in the study of Islamic historiography.

Get PDFThis research is entitled Social Changes in the Ulaon Custom of Mangompoi Jabu in the Toba Batak Community in Gonting Garoga Village, Garoga District, North Tapanuli Regency, namely the tradition of entering a new house which has been passed down from generation to generation and is still passed down from ancestors to this day, but not many people carry out this custom anymore so The meaning in this series of customs cannot be seen and people are no longer very enthusiastic in understanding the meaning of the custom of entering a house or mangompoi jabu. This research aims to determine the meaning and social changes of the Mangompoi Jabu custom. This research uses qualitative research using a qualitative approach method through observation and in-depth interviews. The results of the research show that the traditional mangompoi tradition is carried out by the Toba Batak people to interpret this custom as not only a tradition but also in the form of saying thanks and asking for prayers to their lover so that they will always be blessed by the house they have just moved into and is also a motivation for them. old where through this custom a child is no longer at liberty to sell the house.
