COMPANY LIABILITY FOR DEFAULT IN THE EVENT OF PACKAGES NOT ARRIVING AT THE ADDRESS BY COURIERS: A COMPILATION OF SHARIA ECONOMIC LAW PERSPECTIVE
This study examines the liability of delivery service companies for breach of contract in the form of undelivered packages to the intended address, from the perspective of the Compilation of Sharia Economic Law (Kompilasi Hukum Ekonomi Syariah/KHES), using a case study in Sei Litur Tasik Village, Sawit Seberang Subdistrict, Langkat Regency. The background of the research stems from increasing public complaints regarding delivery services failing to fulfill their obligations as agreed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of package delivery by the company, identify the factorx contributing to undelivered packages, examine the forms of corporate accountability for delivery failures, and assess such accountability according to the Compilation of Sharia Economic Lave. This research employs an empirical juridical method with a conceptual and statutory approach. Data were obtained through interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that, based on Chapter III Article 36 of KHES concerning breach of contract and Chapter IV Article 85 regarding the handover of goods as stated in the shipping receipt, the main causes of breach were courier negligence, data system errors, and weak internal supervision. According to Chapter III Article 38 of KIES, the forms of liability provided by the company typically involve compensation in the form of a shipping cost refund or package redelivery; however, these measures are often insufficient and lack transparency. From the perspective of the Compilation of Sharia Economic Law, such a breach violates the ijarah (service lease) contract and obliges the company to provide fair and accountable compensation. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of applying Sharia principles in service-based businesses to uphold consumer rights and achieve justic
GENDER BIAS IN THE JOURNALISM PROFESSION AGAINST WOMEN IN MEDAN CITY
This study aims to answer the following question: what forms and mechanisms of gender bias are experienced by female journalists in Medan, and how do these biases impact their roles and positions within the field of journalism? Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that female journalists in Medan face systemic inequalities, including gender-based task segregation, male dominance in strategic editorial positions, and inadequate protection against harassment and workplace discrimination. Furthermore, prevailing social and cultural norms reinforce domestic expectations of women, which significantly restrict their mobility and career advancement in journalism. These findings affirm the relevance of structural feminist theory and the intersectionality framework, while offering practical contributions for the development of gender-responsive media policies. The study recommends revising internal media policies and strengthening advocacy networks to create a more equitable, inclusive, and discrimination-free professional environment for female journalists
HISTORIOGRAPHY OF RELIGIOUS MODERATION (RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TJONG A FIE AND ISLAM IN NORTH SUMATRA 1880-1990)
This research examines the historiography of religious moderation through the relationship between Tjong A Fie and Islam in North Sumatra from 1880-1990. The main problem addresses the scarcity of in-depth studies on the role of non-Muslim figures in promoting interfaith harmony amidst historiography dominated by conflict narratives. Employing the historical method—including heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography—this study aims to uncover how Tjong A Fie, a Chinese entrepreneur, contributed to the development of Muslim communities and facilitated interfaith dialogue. Key findings indicate that Tjong A Fie actively supported the construction of Islamic worship facilities, funded religious activities, and built strong relationships with local religious scholars, creating a pragmatic and inclusive model of religious moderation. The conclusion reveals that his contributions offer a fresh perspective on the history of religious moderation in North Sumatra, highlighting the importance of non-formal leadership and philanthropy in shaping social cohesion

THE INFLUENCE OF SIMULATION MODEL ASSISTED BY FILM MEDIA ON THE ABILITY TO DEMONSTRATE DRAMA SCRIPTS OF GRADE XI STUDENTS AT SMA SWASTA PELITA PEMATANGSIANTAR
This study aims to examine the influence of a simulation learning model assisted by film media on the ability of Grade XI students at SMA Swasta Pelita Pematangsiantar to demonstrate drama scripts. The background of this research lies in the low level of student participation and skills in performing drama scripts, which is attributed to a lack of interest, inadequate training, and the use of inappropriate learning models. This research employs a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design applied to two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The research instrument consists of essay tests, which were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and paired sample t-tests through the SPSS application. The results show that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous, and there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test mean scores in the experimental group (from 66.93 to 82.80) compared to the control group (from 49.86 to 76.89). These findings indicate that the implementation of the simulation model assisted by film media is effective in improving students’ ability to perform drama scripts. Therefore, this model can be recommended as an alternative learning strategy to enhance students’ speaking skills and literary appreciation in an active, creative, and contextual manner
WOMEN AND CAREER IN THE QUR’AN: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF INTERPRETATIONS BY FEMALE MUFASSIRUN (BADRIYAH FAYUMI, NAILAH HASYIM SABRI, AND AISYAH ABDURRAHMAN)
The concept of career women in the perspective of the Qur'an has become increasingly relevant in response to social dynamics and the challenges of modernity, where women are playing a more active role in the public sphere. The study of interpretations by female mufassirun, such as Badriyah Fayumi, Nailah Hasyim Sabri, and Aisyah Abdurrahman (Bintu Syathi’), is essential to understand how the Qur'an can be interpreted in a contemporary context, particularly regarding women's rights and responsibilities. The presence of female mufassirun offers a distinctive perspective that is often overlooked in the male-dominated tafsir tradition. Badriyah Fayumi focuses on a contextual understanding of the Qur’anic verses related to women, while Nailah Hasyim Sabri proposes a more inclusive approach. Aisyah Abdurrahman emphasizes that women possess intellectual capacity and actively contribute to public life, as reflected in her struggle for access to education and academic positions. This research demonstrates that female mufassirun provide space for women to actively engage in careers. The Qur'an acknowledges women’s involvement in various productive activities, as long as they adhere to the principles of Shari'ah. The interpretations developed by female mufassirun emphasize gender equality, justice, and women’s rights to contribute to social and economic life. The feminist approach advocated by Badriyah Fayumi reconstructs the patriarchal classical tafsir by highlighting values of equality, justice, and consultation in gender relations
Cash Waqf, Deposito Syariah, CWLD, Keuangan Sosial Islam, Pembangunan Berkelanjutan

Bridal makeup services are a form of rental contract for services (ijarah) that is commonly practiced in the community, but it is still rarely studied in depth in terms of Islamic law. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, and data is collected through observation, interviews, and literature study. The results show that the practice of ijarah contract in YW has fulfilled all the pillars and conditions of ijarah according to fiqh provisions, such as the existence of ijab-qabul, clear benefits, agreed compensation (ujrah), and voluntary agreement of both parties. In the case of unilateral cancellation by the client, the forfeiture of the down payment is in accordance with sharia principles as compensation for the loss of the service provider. This research confirms that ijarah contracts in the context of bridal makeup services can be carried out in a sharia-compliant manner and become a fair transaction model in a sharia-based service economy
