Campus management development is an important aspect in improving the quality of service and competitiveness of higher education. This study aims to formulate an effective management development strategy at Darul Ulum University, Jombang, with a focus on system modernization, improving human resource (HR) competency, and strengthening stakeholder participation. The research method used is qualitative descriptive through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study revealed that the digitalization of the academic system has been running but has not been optimally integrated, and HR competencies are not evenly distributed. Active participation of the academic community in decision making is also still limited. Therefore, the recommended strategies include the implementation of an integrated management system based on information technology, ongoing training for HR, and strengthening communication forums between stakeholders. The Correlation Between Body Mass Index and Body Fat Percentage in Menopausal Women in Padang: A Quasi-Experimental Study

    Get PDF
The global increase in overweight and obesity has become a critical public health concern, particularly among menopausal women who experience hormonal changes that contribute to increased body fat—especially in the abdominal region. High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) has emerged as a time-efficient alternative to conventional exercise, offering potential benefits in reducing Body Mass Index (BMI) and Body Fat Percentage (BFP). This quasi-experimental study, conducted in Padang, Indonesia, aimed to examine the correlation between BMI and BFP in menopausal women aged 50–60 years following a five-month HIIT intervention. A total of 50 obese menopausal women were selected using stratified sampling and assigned to either an experimental group (HIIT) or a control group (aerobic exercise). Pretest and posttest measurements were collected for body weight, BMI, and BFP. Statistical analyses included tests for normality and homogeneity, the Mann–Whitney U test, independent t-test, and Spearman’s rank correlation. The findings revealed significant reductions in both BMI and BFP in the HIIT group compared to the control group. A very strong positive correlation was observed between BMI and BFP (r = 0.914, p < 0.001), suggesting that decreases in BMI are closely linked to reductions in body fat. This study provides preliminary evidence from Indonesia supporting HIIT as an effective and time-efficient intervention for addressing obesity-related outcomes in menopausal women. Further research is warranted to investigate the underlying mechanisms and to generalize these findings to broader menopausal populations. Keyword: High-Intensity Interval Training, Menopause, Body Mass Index, Body Fat Percentage, Obese Women

Legal Construction of Foundations as Parent Companies to Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) in the Perspective of the Foundation Law and the Limited Liability Company Law

    Get PDF
A foundation, as a legal entity aimed at social, religious, and humanitarian purposes, often faces legal issues when establishing or controlling a Limited Liability Company (LLC) to support its social activities. This study aims to examine the legal relationship between a foundation as the parent company and the LLC as the subsidiary, based on the provisions in the Foundation Law and the Limited Liability Company Law. The research also analyzes the legal consequences arising if one of the entities incurs losses, whether the foundation or the LLC. The results show that although a foundation can establish an LLC, deviations occur in practice, such as the concurrent roles of foundation managers in the LLC, leading to conflicts of interest and misuse of funds. The case of the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Foundation illustrates the importance of separating the foundation's social activities from the business interests of the LLC. Therefore, legal reform is needed to strengthen oversight, transparency, and accountability in the relationship between foundations and LLCs

Abstract: This study examines how religious values, social norms, and cultural expectations influence public perceptions of preacher attire in regions deeply rooted in local traditions. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews and participatory observation for data collection. The research sample consisted of purposefully selected local community members from diverse age groups and social backgrounds. The findings indicate that preacher fashion in South Tapanuli is perceived as a reflection of religious devotion and personal integrity. Traditional clothing styles, along with accessories such as the peci and sarong, symbolize commitment to Islamic principles and respect for local customs. However, some view certain aspects of preacher attire as a marker of exclusivity or social status. Overall, the community perceives preacher fashion as a bridge between religious identity and local culture, serving as both a medium for da’wah and a representation of social values. Keywords: Islamic propagation, Da’i, Perception, Fashion, Southern Tapanuli, Non-verbal Communicatio
