    Get PDF
Adolescent reproductive health is a critical issue for global gender and child health. Despite its significance, the specific challenges adolescent girls face in accessing reproductive health services in low-resource settings have received limited attention. This study explored reproductive health issues, particularly irregular menstrual cycles and syphilis, among adolescents at the Tutun Sehati Clinic in Tanjung Morawa, North Sumatra, Indonesia. A qualitative descriptive approach was used to collect data between January and April 2024 through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews. The study emphasized understanding the meanings and processes behind reported cases. The informants included clinic personnel who interacted directly with adolescent patients presenting reproductive health concerns. Clinicians rarely document cases related to adolescent reproductive health. However, some patients have reported menstrual irregularities and syphilis. The clinic managed menstrual issues with examinations and medication while referring syphilis cases to partner hospitals. Contributing factors include limited sexual health knowledge, unprotected sexual behaviors, and stigma surrounding reproductive health. The study concludes that although case numbers appear low, social and cultural barriers may suppress disclosure and care seeking. Early detection, youth-friendly services, and integrated reproductive health education are essential to address adolescent needs. Strengthening community awareness and destigmatizing reproductive issues are crucial for improving outcomes among adolescent girls

    No full text
The community including the government, practitioners, and academics have not paid attention to the urgency of halal lifestyle in solving health problems such as malnutrition and stunting. This article aims to explain the strengthening of community literacy about halal lifestyle behavior to prevent stunting. Activities began August - October 2023 in Bandar Sono Village, Nibung Hangus District, Batu Bara Regency. Data were collected through focus group discussions (FGDs), and then education and mentoring were carried out. Data from FGDs were analyzed using ATLAS.Ti23. The data obtained was continued by conducting education and mentoring. The results of data processing are then displayed in tables and figures. The findings show that halal lifestyle behavior has not been understood by the community. Ethical and social moral principles include 5 aspects of halal life style behavior that can be applied by humans in living their daily lives so as to provide a strong impetus to maintain nutritional balance, avoid harmful behavior, and provide better care for children. This means that hifz ad din (protecting religion), as part of halal life style behaviors, is not a direct method of preventing stunting, however, it creates a strong foundation for healthy behaviors and careful care of children, which in turn can contribute to stunting prevention. A person's knowledge will become broad if he learns a lot and gets information through school or information provided through counseling, lectures, reading. The local government needs to continuously provide assistance to families prone to stunting by involving religious leaders so that the community has a strong foundation for implementing halal lifestyle behavior

In the 21st century, mathematical literacy skills are among the most crucial competencies for students. However, current levels of student proficiency in this area remain suboptimal. This study aims to develop REACT strategy teaching materials that incorporate Islamic context mathematical literacy questions on the topic of algebraic function limits. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The test subjects in this study included expert validators consisting of three mathematics education lecturers from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, five high school mathematics teachers, and one high school Islamic religion teacher. Additionally, a limited trial was conducted with 30 grade XII MIPA students at SMA Muhammadiyah Sawangan. The instruments used in this study included expert validation instruments, student response questionnaires, and Islamic context mathematical literacy ability tests. The results indicated that the REACT strategy teaching materials developed achieved a high level of validity, with a validation score of 0.89 from expert evaluators. The level of practicality was also high, with a score of 0.93, indicating very feasible criteria based on student response questionnaires. The developed teaching materials were considered effective in facilitating mathematical literacy skills in the Islamic context, based on an average test of student learning outcomes against the Minimum Competency Standards – Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), with a student success rate of 63%. The conclusion of this study is that the REACT strategy teaching materials designed to enhance students' mathematical literacy skills in the Islamic context, specifically on the topic of function limits, have met the quality standards for teaching materials in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, making them suitable for classroom use
