    Get PDF
Blue-labeled skincare products freely available in the marketplace pose a serious problem because they contain active ingredients that should only be used under a doctor's prescription and supervision. Without medical supervision, consumers have the potential to experience negative health impacts. This study aims to examine consumer protection for this phenomenon through the Sadd Adz-Dzari'ah approach, namely the principle of prevention in Islamic law to avoid potential damage. As a normative study, the approach used regulations, regulations, and the concept of Sadd Adz-Dzari'ah. Data were collected through the concept of documentary studies and the data were collected and analyzed. Therefore, the results of the study indicate that blue-labeled skincare products are still freely sold in the marketplace and based on the Sadd Adz-Dzari'ah approach, there must be product withdrawal actions or sanctions against business actors who still distribute blue-labeled skincare products and the marketplace must block the store

Tanjungpinang is one of 100 cities designated as Smart City pilot cities by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. To support this initiative, Tanjungpinang City Government then developed Tanjungpinang Smart City Masterplan, which is directly supervised by the Ministry of Communication and Information. One of the strategies that the Tanjungpinang City Government must develop as part of this masterplan is a Smart Branding strategy that focuses on the image and brand of Tanjungpinang City. This research evaluates the development of Tanjungpinang City's Smart Branding strategy based on three core values: (1) Emotional, (2) Functional, and (3) Smartness according to the Grebosz-Krawczyk (2021) framework. The research is qualitative in nature, using a case study approach conducted in Tanjungpinang City, with data collection through interviews, observations, and literature reviews. After the data was collected, it was analyzed following the processes of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the Smart Branding strategy for the city of Tanjungpinang follows three main strategies, namely (1) Smart Tourism & Seaport, (2) Tanjungpinang Investment Lounge, and (3) Smart Landmark, which are collectively outlined into 17 work programs. In terms of emotional value, cultural and thematic tourism activities are conducted to strengthen the city's image; however, the lack of direct community involvement is considered a possible improvement. In terms of functional value, the work programs implemented by the City Government demonstrate consideration and objectives to provide easy access to services for tourists and investors; however, further consideration is needed to accommodate the impact of activities on socio-environmental aspects. The value of intelligence itself can be found in the development of software such as e-Tourism and the OSS portal, as well as Green Building initiatives. In its development, the Tanjungpinang City Government must ensure that the utilization of ICT, interoperability, innovation, and sustainability can be achieved. This study ultimately identified weaknesses, namely a top-down approach and minimal community participation, which could potentially reduce community acceptance of the brand and lead to rejection. Therefore, this study recommends that the Tanjungpinang City Government strengthen community participation mechanisms, realign the use and application of technology with local needs, and ensure the appropriateness of economic, social, and environmental objectives to ensure the strength of Tanjungpinang City's Smart Branding identity

An Adaptive Control Framework for Optimizing Hybrid Electric Vehicle Performance Using Road Gradient Detection

    Get PDF
This study introduces an adaptive control framework for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) that optimizes performance based on real-time road gradient conditions, such as uphill and downhill terrain. Utilizing an inclinometer and an accelerometer, the system continuously monitors road angle and vehicle dynamics. The adaptive control algorithm processes this data to adjust the output of both the electric motor and internal combustion engine, optimizing energy efficiency and vehicle performance. Experimental results on hilly routes show an 8% improvement in energy efficiency compared to conventional control systems. Additionally, the system ensures stable vehicle speed with an average deviation of ±2.5 km/h. These findings highlight the potential of gradient-based adaptive control to enhance HEV performance, especially on challenging terrains, by improving energy efficiency and driving stability. This approach offers a promising solution for future HEV applications in regions with varied topography

This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of the Physical Activities Based Contemporary (PABC) learning model on gross motor skills, especially balance, and learning concentration in children aged 4-5 years. The background of the study shows that there is a high percentage of children aged 4-5 years at Al Irsyad Kindergarten, Banyuwangi Regency who have less than optimal balance (74.5%) and learning concentration (71.1%). This is identified as one of the reasons for the tendency of children to spend more and more time with passive activities in front of the screen of gadgets. This study uses a quantitative approach with a design that involves statistical tests to measure the influence of PABC. The subjects of the study were children aged 4-5 years at Al Irsyad Kindergarten Banyuwangi. Data were collected through observation using motor ability and concentration observation sheets. Data analysis includes normality tests, homogeneity tests, validity tests, reliability tests, as well as Independent Sample T-Test and Paired Sample T-Test. The PABC model itself is an integration of physical activity with contemporary elements that are relevant to children, emphasizing freedom of movement, self-expression, and the use of games as a fun and effective learning method. Its implementation is manifested in a series of physical obstacles such as "Army Tunnel", "Obstacle Jump", "Rocking Bridge", and "Sniping Target", and uses the syntax of the AREK method (Observe, Plan Action, Exploration, Communication). The results of this study are expected to provide empirical evidence on the contribution of PABC in improving gross motor skills and early childhood learning concentration, as well as providing a scientific basis for the development of innovative learning programs that are in accordance with the needs of children's development in the digital era
