    Copyright vs. Patent: Exploring Intellectual Property Protection Boundaries for Software

    This article examines the legal protection boundaries of software within the intellectual property system, particularly focusing on the ambiguity between copyright and patent regimes. The main issue addressed is whether software with technical functions should be protected solely through patents or whether copyright is sufficient, considering the dual nature of software as both an expressive work and a technological tool. Using a normative legal approach, this study analyzes the national legal framework and compares it with other jurisdictions. The research findings indicate that dual protection without clear boundaries may lead to legal uncertainty, especially for software industry players who require clarity regarding their exclusive rights. Therefore, a more assertive and harmonized legal policy formulation is needed to ensure optimal protection of software in both its creative and functional aspects

    Contextual geometry teaching module: Innovation in developing practical learning materials for junior high school

    A teaching module serves as a structured learning tool aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum, designed to meet established competency standards. However, a mathematics teacher in Banda Aceh reported the absence of a curriculum-compliant teaching module specifically addressing triangle-related topics. This study aims to develop a practical and pedagogically appropriate teaching module guided by the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. Given the nature of data collection, this research adopts a research and development (R&D) approach, employing the ADDIE model for systematic module development. Data were gathered through validation and practicality questionnaires, evaluated by subject matter experts, material experts, and teachers. The findings indicate that the teaching module demonstrates high validity, receiving scores of 95.00% from subject matter experts and 92.13% from material experts. In terms of practicality, the module also achieved strong ratings, with 88.16% from practitioners and 87.74% from students. Consequently, the teaching module is valid, practical, and suitable for implementation in classroom settings, warranting further trials and application in educational practice

    Integration of ARIMA Models and Machine Learning for Academic Data Forecasting: A Case Study in Applied Mathematics

    This study explores the use of ARIMA models and machine learning algorithms, specifically Random Forest and Multiple Linear Regression, to predict student academic performance. A mixed-method approach analyzed academic grades data from the past three years, with ARIMA identifying time series trends and machine learning models predicting academic outcomes based on various variables. Results show ARIMA effectively maps academic trends, while Random Forest excels in handling complex relationships, with an RMSE of 1.12 and an MAE of 0.94. These findings highlight the potential of combining statistical models and machine learning in developing adaptive learning strategies and data-driven decision-making. This approach offers a robust framework for improving educational outcomes and can guide future research in predictive analytics for educational systems

    eth Root Attack on Dual Modulus RSA

    The Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA) algorithm relies on the presumed difficulty of integer factorization, making it vulnerable to certain attacks, particularly in the quantum era. One proposed variant, dual modulus RSA, is claimed to enhance resilience against specific cryptanalytic techniques. This study evaluates its security by applying an e^th-root attack using an advanced fraction method. The results demonstrate that the plaintext can be recovered without the private key, confirming that dual modulus RSA, like standard RSA, remains susceptible under particular conditions. Although dual modulus RSA incurs higher computational cost, the attack remains effective. These findings suggest that structural changes alone do not guarantee improved security and emphasize the need for rigorous cryptanalysis of RSA variants against established mathematical attacks

    Strategi Komunikasi Kelompok Dakwah Istiqomah Hijrah Rantauprapat dalam Menumbuhkan Kecintaan Masyarakat terhadap Masjid

    Saat ini, masjid sering kali dipandang hanya sebagai bangunan umum biasa yang sebagian besar dikunjungi oleh orang lanjut usia. Padahal, pada masa Nabi Muhammad, masjid tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat salat berjamaah, tetapi juga sebagai pusat berbagai kegiatan kemasyarakatan. Kelompok Dakwah Istiqomah Hijrah merupakan salah satu kelompok dakwah Islam di Rantauprapat yang aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan keagamaan, termasuk kunjungan ke masjid di luar kota serta menyelenggarakan berbagai kegiatan di masjid. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami dan menganalisis strategi komunikasi yang digunakan oleh Kelompok Dakwah Istiqomah Hijrah dalam menumbuhkan kecintaan dan penghargaan masyarakat terhadap masjid. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan kunci terdiri dari tokoh-tokoh penting dalam kelompok seperti ketua, sekretaris, dan anggota lainnya. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui klasifikasi, reduksi, deskripsi, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan validitas data didukung melalui triangulasi sumber, metode, dan waktu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kelompok Dakwah Istiqomah Hijrah menggunakan komunikasi persuasif untuk mendorong keterlibatan masyarakat di masjid, serta komunikasi edukatif melalui kajian mingguan dan wisata religi dua tahunan. Mereka juga memanfaatkan platform media sosial seperti WhatsApp dan Facebook untuk menyebarluaskan informasi mengenai kegiatan dan pesan-pesan yang berkaitan dengan masjid

               Saat ini, perempuan semakin aktif berperan dalam ekonomi keluarga dengan menjalankan dua tugas sekaligus: bekerja di luar rumah dan mengurus pekerjaan rumah tangga. Fenomena ini terlihat jelas di Desa Girijaya, di mana banyak perempuan bekerja sebagai buruh pabrik garmen. Mereka sering meninggalkan anak-anak mereka untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi, yang menyebabkan munculnya konflik peran serta dampak negatif terhadap kesehatan fisik dan mental mereka.  Untuk memahami dan mengatasi konflik ini, teori komunikasi interpersonal dan sudut pandang feminis sangat membantu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, yang mengeksplorasi pengalaman subjektif perempuan buruh pabrik garmen. Enam informan dalam penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga mengenai tantangan yang mereka hadapi akibat peran ganda dan dampaknya terhadap kesejahteraan mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan sering mengalami kesulitan dalam menjalani peran ganda, di mana keputusan mereka untuk bekerja dipengaruhi oleh faktor keluarga, situasi ekonomi, dan persepsi sosial, sementara dukungan dari suami, keluarga, serta kebijakan yang mendukung sangat penting untuk mengurangi beban yang mereka tanggung. Peran ganda yang diemban perempuan di Desa Girijaya berdampak signifikan pada kesejahteraan fisik dan emosional mereka. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya intervensi dan dukungan dari pemerintah dan masyarakat untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih mendukung bagi perempuan yang menghadapi peran ganda

    LONGITUDINAL STUDY: CHANGES IN RELIGIOUS PATTERNS OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION STUDENTS DURING THE STUDY PERIOD

    This study aims to analyze changes in the religiosity patterns of students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program during the study period using a longitudinal quantitative approach. The research sample consisted of 180 6th semester students from a total of 210 students at the Sultan Thaha Saifudin Jambi State Islamic University. Data were collected through a religiosity questionnaire based on the five dimensions of religiosity according to Glock and Stark, analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results showed a significant decrease in the dimensions of worship practices and ideology, and an increase in the dimension of religious knowledge. Social and academic environmental factors also influence the dynamics of student religiosity. These findings provide important input for the development of religiosity development in Islamic higher education environment

    IMPROVING THE PROCESS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES IN MATHEMATICS USING THE COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TYPE TGT

    This study was motivated by the low learning process and outcomes of mathematics among fifth-grade students at SDN 196/II Taman Agung, as indicated by the lack of student involvement in classroom activities and the average exam scores that were still below the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) of 70. The purpose of this research is to describe improvements in the learning process and outcomes through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Learning Model. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 20 fifth-grade students, with data collected through observation and testing using observation sheets and test instruments. Observation data were analyzed descriptively, while test data were analyzed using simple statistical formulas. The findings indicate that the implementation of the TGT Cooperative Learning Model in learning fractions and integers was categorized as Very Good, where teacher performance in Cycle I reached 83.33% and student participation increased from 60% in Cycle I to 80% in Cycle II, exceeding the success indicator of 75%. Furthermore, student learning outcomes improved significantly above the KKTP standard of 70, with mastery learning scores increasing from 75% in Cycle I to 85% in Cycle II. These results show that the application of the TGT Cooperative Learning Model can effectively enhance both the learning process and outcomes of mathematics for fifth-grade students at SDN 196/II Taman Agung

    This study aims to determine how the cooperation of schools and school committees strengthens the characteristics of students at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadi'in. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with primary and secondary data sources. In order to facilitate the data in this study, the author uses data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study consisted of the Principal of MTs Hidayatul Mubtadi'in. The results of this study indicate that the School and the committee act as advisory agencies, supporting agencies and controlling agencies. The characteristics of students formed after the cooperation of the school and the committee in fulfilling the needs of teaching and learning activities in the form of facilities and infrastructure, namely: religious characteristics, honesty characteristics, tolerance characteristics and discipline characteristics

    The Impact of Technology-Based Learning Media on the Critical Thinking Skills of 11th-Grade Students at MAN 2 Mojokerto

    Critical thinking is a vital skill for students in the 21st century. The integration of technology into learning plays a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness and quality of education by providing broader access to information, fostering interactive methods, and supporting the understanding of complex concepts. This study aims to examine the impact of using technology-based learning media on the critical thinking skills of 11th-grade students at MAN 2 Mojokerto. The research is a field study employing a quantitative approach, where data was collected through primary sources and analyzed using simple linear regression to measure how significantly the use of learning media influences students’ critical thinking abilities. The findings show that the use of technology-based learning media has a fairly strong impact, with an effectiveness rate of 76%. Meanwhile, students’ critical thinking skills at MAN 2 Mojokerto are also categorized as fairly good, with a score of 72.5%. In conclusion, the study indicates that technology-based learning media positively influence the critical thinking abilities of 11th-grade students at MAN 2 Mojokerto
