Targeting the Swipe Generation in Islamic Communication: Adaptation of Digital Campaigns on the @millenial_hiro Account in the Political Constellation of Medan City Youth
This study aims to analyze the adaptation of digital campaigns carried out by the Instagram account @millenial_hiro in attracting the swipe generation in Medan City, through the approach of Islamic political communication and symbolic interactionism theory. The swipe generation, as a representation of productive-age youth, shows characteristics of critical, fast, and responsive information consumption to social media. The @millenial_hiro campaign strategy does not only use digital media to convey political programs, but also builds an interaction space based on the values of honesty, trustworthiness, justice, and benefit. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, observation techniques, documentation, and content analysis based on the Klaus Krippendorff model. The findings show that various forms of content such as online game tournaments, educational microblogs, narrative talk, flow-talk, social experiments, and parody videos are used to create emotional resonance, strengthen political involvement, and form collective meanings rooted in Islamic values. Symbolic interactionism theory is used to read how digital symbols in the campaign build shared political meanings between candidates and youth. This study offers novelty by combining the perspectives of Islamic communication and symbolic interactionism in understanding the dynamics of digital political campaigns. The results of the study indicate that socio-political da'wah in the new media era can run effectively through a creative approach based on Islamic values, building a participatory, just, and civilized political culture among the younger generation. This study also opens up space for further studies on the transformation of Islamic political communication in the context of the development of digital technology

Review of Islamic Criminal Law on The Criteria of Justice Collaborators In Relation to The Law on Protection of Witnesses and Victims
Organized crime poses a major challenge in modern law enforcement due to its covert nature. One approach used to uncover such crimes is through the role of a justice collaborator, namely a perpetrator who is willing to cooperate with law enforcement authorities. This study aims to analyze the criteria for a justice collaborator according to the Witness and Victim Protection Act and to examine its relevance from the perspective of Islamic criminal law. The method used is normative juridical with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The results of the study indicate that there are fundamental differences between positive law and Islamic criminal law in assessing the eligibility of a witness, particularly concerning the requirement of justice. Nevertheless, from the perspective of maqasid al-sharia and the urgency of uncovering major crimes, the role of a justice collaborator can be considered relevant and not in contradiction with the principles of Islamic law. The novelty of this study lies in the integrative approach that examines the synchronization between positive legal norms and Islamic justice values in protecting cooperative perpetrators. This study enriches the discourse on criminal law by offering a dualistic perspective that is rarely raised in previous studies. However, this study is limited to a normative study of regulations and doctrines, without examining the empirical implementation or response of judicial institutions in practice. The results are expected to be a conceptual basis for the development of more inclusive and equitable legal policies

The application of women's roles through the triple rule outlined by Caroline Moser, namely reproductive roles, productive roles, and community roles. Through the involvement of women's active roles in the management of Pasar Dhoplang, it becomes an important factor in supporting the development of traditional Javanese culinary tourism villages. This study also examines the obstacles faced by women in the development of Pasar Dhoplang such as land ownership, inequality of participation within the village scope, and limited land in Pasar Dhoplang which hinders the empowerment of women in Pandan Village as a whole. Thus, the results of this study indicate that in developing regional tourism, there needs to be support from the role of women in its management structure in order to have an impact on improving the household economy
Identification of Bacteria in Dental Plaque
Oral health has an important role in overall body health. This study aims to evaluate the antibacterial efficacy of toothpaste with cinnamon ethanol extract against Streptococcus bacteria in vivo, analyze changes in the number of bacterial colonies before and after using toothpaste, and identify the type of Streptococcus bacteria in dental plaque. This pure experimental research was conducted at the Pharmacy Laboratory of the Poltekkes Kemenkes Medan and the Microbiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine, University of North Sumatra. Samples included cinnamon extract, toothpaste formulation with 12.5% extract concentration, and dental plaque from 40 respondents. Data analysis used descriptive univariate test with SPSS 22.0 application. Results showed Gram-positive bacterial infections, especially Rothia dentocariosa (24%), dominated dental plaque, followed by Streptococcus mitis (16.4%). The use of cinnamon-active toothpaste was able to significantly reduce the number of bacterial colonies, especially at high concentrations. In addition, active compounds in cinnamon extracts such as cinnamaldehyde and eugenol showed the ability to damage bacterial cell walls and inhibit biofilm formation. Gargling was also shown to be effective in reducing bacterial colonies by clearing plaque and food debris. The conclusion of this study suggests that Gram-positive bacterial infections in dental plaque require special attention in management with appropriate antibiotics, while gargling and the use of cinnamon-based antimicrobial agents can be an effective preventive strategy. These findings support the development of natural ingredient-based oral health products to improve infection prevention and the quality of oral health care. The Copyright Ownership Status of Visual Works Generated by Artificial Intelligence
AI has transformed the way humans interact with computer systems, capable of processing complex data and generating new content such as high-quality images. Generative AI (GAI) creates content through descriptive commands, but it presents legal challenges, especially in copyright. The 2014 Copyright Law is unclear in regulating AI-generated works, creating uncertainty about copyright ownership and originality. This research analyzes legal gaps and provides recommendations regarding the copyright ownership status of generative AI works. This study uses a normative legal method with a legal framework approach to analyze relevant regulations. Legal sources are divided into three categories: primary (laws and regulations), secondary (doctrines, scholarly articles), and tertiary (legal dictionaries). Legal materials are collected through library research for further analysis, followed by systematic selection and classification, then analyzed to draw conclusions. Intellectual Property in Indonesia regulates copyrights on works, including those generated by AI. Although AI can create works, it challenges the human creation definition in Law No. 28 of 2014. Legal challenges arise regarding who holds the copyright: the developer, the user, or the AI, requiring a more adaptive legal framework to accommodate works generated by this technology. This research highlights copyright challenges in Indonesia related to AI works that do not meet originality and creativity criteria. There is a need for the development of an adaptive legal framework to protect intellectual property and encourage innovation. This issue requires in-depth approaches from various disciplines to align the law with advancements in digital technology

This article conducts an in-depth analysis of the signs of Muhammad's prophethood as presented in Ibn Sa‘d’s Kitab al-Tabaqat, using a historiographical approach to explore these narratives’ significance in early Islamic history. It seeks to identify and categorize the range of signs and miracles attributed to the Prophet Muhammad, investigate Ibn Sa‘d’s interpretive techniques and historical methods, and examine how these signs help construct prophetic authority and Islamic cultural memory. By analyzing each narrative in both its historical context and its theological and literary dimensions, the study addresses key issues such as Ibn Sa‘d’s perspective as a historian, his interpretive biases, and the ways these narratives reinforce Islamic belief in Muhammad’s divine mission. The findings reveal that Ibn Sa‘d’s portrayal of prophetic signs operates on several levels: as a testament to divine intervention, an assertion of the Prophet's unique spiritual status, and a framework for defining the sacred in Islamic tradition.
