    Instagram Features as Media for Learning English Listening Comprehension

    This study aimed to investigate what Instagram features that help students in learning English listening comprehension, and to find out the students’ perceptions towards Instagram as a media to learn the subject. Mixed method was used for this study, specifically in the form of a case study in one secondary school in Cimahi, West Java, Indonesia. Ten secondary school students aged between 15 and 18 years were chosen as participants of this study. The researchers tried to create Instagram content that would help the students learn the subject, combined with the use of questionnaires, classroom observation, and students’ interview to obtain data. Data from questionnaires were analyzed using percentage calculation, data from classroom observation were analyzed based on the activities in the classroom and displayed in the form of table, while students’ interview were analyzed based on deductive thematic data analysis. The result shows that the students are familiar with Instagram Story, Post, Reel, and Live. These Instagram features were used as tools for learning English Listening comprehension. The students perceived that the use of Instagram features for listening English comprehension could help them develop their potencies, make the learning materials more interested, assist them to learn and be more creative

    Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan permasalahan yang ditemukan pada saat proses observasi di Polres Subang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan gambaran secara mendalam mengenai Efektivitas Program Pembuatan Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) Online Di Polres Subang. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah pihak-pihak yang terkait dengan Efektivitas Program Pembuatan Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) Online Di Polres Subang .Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa Efektivitas Program Pembuatan Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) Online Di Polres Subang berada dalam kategori cukup. Hal ini berarti kriteria efektivitas yang dikemukakan oleh Sutrisno (2010) dengan hasil penelitian sebagai berikut : Pada indikator pertama yakni pemahaman program, dalam Program Pembuatan Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) Online di Polres Subang berada dalam kategori belum efektif dan masih harus ditingkatkan; Pada indikator kedua yakni Tepat Sasaran, Program Pembuatan Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) Online di Polres Subang dalam kategori sudah efektif; Pada indikator ketiga yakni Tepat Waktu dalam Program Pembuatan Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) Online di Polres Subang belum efektif; Pada indikator keempat yakni Tercapai Tujuan dalam Program Pembuatan Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) Online di Polres Subang sudah efektif; dan yang terakhir pada indikator kelima yakni Perubahan nyata berada dalam kategori efektif. Kata Kunci : Efektivitas, Program, (SKCK) Online   Abstract This research was conducted based on problems found during the observation process at the Subang Police. This research aims to find out and explain an in-depth picture of the effectiveness of the Online Police Record Certificate (SKCK) Making Program at the Subang Police. This research method is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are parties related to the effectiveness of the Online Police Record Certificate (SKCK) Program at Subang Police. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis model. The data validity checking technique uses source triangulation techniques. Based on the research results, the effectiveness of the Online Police Record Certificate (SKCK) Making Program at the Subang Police is in the sufficient category. This means that the effectiveness criteria proposed by Sutrisno (2010) with the following research results: In the first indicator, namely program understanding, the Online Police Record Certificate (SKCK) Making Program at Subang Police is in the ineffective category and still needs to be improved; In the second indicator, namely Right on Target, the Online Police Record Certificate (SKCK) Making Program at Subang Police is in the effective category; In the third indicator, namely Timeliness in the Online Police Record Certificate (SKCK) Making Program at Subang Police, it has not been effective; The fourth indicator, namely the goal achieved in the Online Police Record Certificate (SKCK) Making Program at the Subang Police, has been effective; and finally the fifth indicator, namely real change, is in the effective category.     PENGELOLAAN ARSIP PELAPORAN DAN PERTANGGUNG JAWABAN KEUANGAN DI DESA KALIJATI BARAT KABUPATEN SUBANG

    Abstrak Dalam laporan tugas akhir ini, penulis bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) bagaimana prosedur pengelolaan dokumen keuangan di Desa Kalijati Barat, Kabupaten Subang, dan (2) proses pengelolaan pengarsipan dokumen keuangan di Desa Kalijati Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat permasalahan dalam prosedur pengelolaan dokumen keuangan di Desa Kalijati Barat, terutama pada laporan realisasi penggunaan dana desa dan laporan pertanggungjawaban realisasi anggaran desa. Permasalahan ini terjadi karena terdapat kekurangan pada bukti transaksi. Dalam pengelolaan kearsipan, pegawai keuangan masih mengalami kendala karena dokumen hanya diletakkan di map dan ditumpuk menjadi satu dengan map-map dari dokumen lainn.   Kata kunci : Prosedur, dokumen keuangan, arsip keuangan     Abstract In this final assignment report, the author aims to find out (1) what are the procedures for managing financial documents in Kalijati Village, Subang Regency, and (2) the management process for archiving financial documents in West Kalijati Village. The method used is descriptive qualitative, while the techniques used to collect data include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research show that the procedures for managing financial documents in West Kalijati Village have problems, particularly in the report on the realization of village fund usage and the accountability report on the realization of the village budget. These problems occur due to deficiencies in transaction evidence. In archival management, financial officers still experience issues because documents are only placed in folders and stacked together with folders of other documents.   Keywords: Procedures, financial documents, financial archive

    Komunikasi interpersonal merupakan salah satu jenis komunikasi yang penting dan berlaku dalam kehidupan sehari-hari manusia. sedari dini anak sudah dikenalkan dengan Al-Qur’an, agar menjadi modal bagi anak untuk menggali pendidikan Al-Qur’an. Orang tua memiliki peran penentu terbentuknya kemampuan anak dalam membaca dan menulis Al-Qur’an. Inilah yang melatarbelakangi untuk mengetahui proses komunikasi interpersonal dan bentuk komunikasi interpersonal orang tua dalam menanamkan kecintaan anak pada Al Qur’an di desa Bongas. Yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses dan bentuk komunikasi interpersonal antara orang tua dan anak. Dalam pelaksanaannya, penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi desakriptif kualitatif. Data dan sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua dan anak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dan hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa proses komunikasi yang terjadi antara orang tua dan anak dalam menanamkan kecintaan anak pada Al Qur’an di desa Bongas rt 06 dengan melalui tatap muka langsung dan satu arah. Bentuk/teknik komunikasi yang mereka lakukan dalam proses komunikasi dalam menanamkan kecintaan anak pada Al Qur’an adalah dengan membujuk dan menasehati secara langsung sehingga membentuk teknik komunikasi persuasif.     Nadran is an expression of fishermen's gratitude to God Almighty for the abundant fish catch. Fishermen hope for smooth sailing and lots of fish in the coming year. This research aims to explain the meaning of the Buffalo Head Ritual symbol in the Nadran Tradition in Blanakan Village, Blanakan District, Subang Regency. The author uses qualitative methods and in selecting informants uses purposive sampling techniques. The analysis in this journal emphasizes the meaning of the people of Blanakan Village, especially the ritual practitioners, of the symbols contained in the Nadran ritual ceremony procession. This research also uses Roland Barthes' Semiotic theory, namely Denotative, Connotative and Mythical meaning to dissect research problems. The results of this research conclude that, the Nadran ritual ceremony is a ritual carried out by the people of Blanakan Village as a form of gratitude from fishermen to God Almighty for the abundant fish catch and fishermen believe that by carrying out Nadran they will receive blessings. The buffalo head ritual is the main ritual or peak of the Nadran tradition. If the buffalo head ritual has been carried out, it means that all the main processes of the Nadran tradition can be said to be complete. In the Nadran tradition itself, the buffalo used is required to be black buffalo. The process of slaughtering the buffalo itself is carried out one day before the ritual by the fishermen and the nadran committee. The head and blood will be used for the ritual process and the meat is cooked to be eaten together

    The Implementation of Using Small Goup Discussion in an EFL Classroom: (A Case Study at the Eleventh Grade of SMKN 1 Subang in the Academic Year 2022/2023)

    Students have difficulty learning English because they do not use it in their daily lives and English is not their first language. Through small group discussion as a learning strategy can help students’ in learning English. This study, focused on a described implementation of using small group discussion in an EFL classroom and perceived students’ responses about this strategy. This case study was conducted at Vocational High School, consists of 34 students and was designed for two meetings with the material analytical exposition text. To triangulate the data, observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation were used as an instrument. The result shows that implementation by group discussion the students more easily to analyze and makes an analytical exposition given by the researcher. Although in the first meeting, there were students who did not seem to participate in the process of discussion, but in second meeting, students participated actively and they could manage themselves to work in-group. In the questionnaire, 100% of students agree that using small group discussion is very suitable for learning English in vocational school. Based on the interview, students argue that by small group discussion it can be solved the task easily because they have the various opinions during group discussion. Small Group Discussion really helped the students. The students could share their knowledge and opinion in doing the exercises and discussing the answer to the exercises. Based on the result, it can be concluded that implementing small group discussion as a learning strategy is a good way of teaching and learning English

    The Use of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) Approach in Teaching Speaking Skill : A Descriptive Qualitative Study at The 7th Grade of Binar Ilmu Boarding School

    Speaking is one of four English skills that students must master because it is an important skill. To teach speaking, teachers can use Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach. The main purposes of this research are to find out the students' response to the CLT in teaching speaking, to figure out the problems faced by teacher in using CLT in teaching speaking, and to explore how teacher solves problems encountered in using CLT in teaching speaking. This study was conducted at a private junior high school in North Bandung. A descriptive qualitative research design was employed in this study with three data collection techniques, namely observation, questionnaire and interview. The participants involved were an English teacher and 27 students of the 7th grade of Binar Ilmu Junior High School. To analyze the data, a framework of CLT proposed by Richards & Rodgers, (2014) was used. The results show that the students responded positively to the use of CLT in teaching speaking skill. Furthermore, there were three problems faced by the teacher in the use of CLT, namely the lack of students’ interaction, the limited students’ concentration, and the limited time allocation. To overcome those problems, the teacher did such things as provoking students by asking questions or inviting discussions, giving some signals such as yells to make the students conducive, delivering one material in two meetings, and giving them homewor

    Surface water is the portion of precipitation that flows over the land surface into rivers, lakes, or oceans. One source of surface water in West Java is river water originating from the Cijengkol watershed. Communities living around the Cijengkol River have traditionally benefited from the value of water as a river environmental service. They use water for their livelihood, mainly for agriculture, fishing, and animal husbandry. In addition, the water in the Cijengkol watershed is also used for daily needs by the people living around the Cijengkol river. This study explains the value of water utilization used by the community around the Cijengkol watershed from various sectors, namely agriculture, household needs, animal husbandry and fisheries and examines the value of the economic benefits of water use in the Cijengkol watershed. The research method used is to find the mainstay discharge and approach the formula for the Economic Value of Water with data obtained from Perum Jasa Tirta II (PJT II), Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM), and the Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Subang. It can be seen that the mainstay debit for irrigation is 5.61 m³/s while for household needs it is 4.24 m³/s. The economic value of water in the Cijengkol watershed is Rp. 949,986,603,420/year. from various aspects of use, namely household needs, agriculture, fisheries, and animal husbandry

    Profil Kemampuan Literasi Matematis Siswa dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Cerita

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjektif penelitian diambil secara simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif dan Huberman. Instrumen tes berupa 3 soal cerita yang diberikan kepada 33 siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA Negeri Kabupaten Karawang dengan maksud untuk mengelompokkan tingkat kemampuan literasi matematis berdasarkan kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah lalu dilakukan wawancara satu siswa perkategori untuk lebih menggali kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal tersebut. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh terdapat 8 siswa memiliki kemampuan literasi matematis tinggi dengan mencapai semua indikator, 10 siswa memiliki kemampuan literasi matemtis sedang dengan mencapai 2 indikator dan 15 siswa memiliki kemampuan literasi matematis rendah dengan tidak mencapai semua indikator
