The Media Coverage in Risk : Analyzing the Mask Coverage of H1N1 Influenza
Get PDF本稿は日本において生じるリスクに関して、マスメディアがどのような報道を行ってきたのか検証することを目的としている。2009 年世界中で蔓延した、H1N1イフルエンザは日本においても猛威を振るい、社会に多大な影響を与えた。しかしながら、良く考えると、インフルエンザという感染症は毎年流行し、多くの人が罹患し、場合によっては死に至る極めて重要なリスクであるにもかかわらず、その研究は医学、科学などもっぱら理系の科学的知見に関する研究が多数を占め、そこからの政策に関する問題や総括が指摘されてきたと言える。むろん、リスクに関するマスメディアの影響や、人間の心理などの社会学、社会心理学に関する研究はあるものの、インフルエンザに関するマスメディア報道の検証に関して、ほとんど散見されていない。そこで、本稿はリスク、特に2009 年に発生したH1N1インフルエンザに関するマスメディア報道に関して分析を試みることにする。This paper attempts to verify what report the mass media has done for the risk of causingin Japan. H1N1 influenza that had spread all over the world in 2009 was furious, andhad a large influence on the society in Japan. However, it becomes popular according tocircumstances every year, a lot of people contract a disease, and the research can say the medicine and the science, etc. the infectious disease of influenza when thinking well though it is an extremely important risk of dying commanding a majority of the researchon the scientific knowledge of the science course entirely, and the point of the problemand the summary concerning the policy from there. Of course, the verification of themass media report concerning influenza is hardly seen here and there though there are aninfluence of the mass media concerning the risk, sociology such as man's psychology,and a research on the social psychology. Influence of a warning stimulus on a motor response under a backward masking paradigm.
Get PDFIn this study, we examined whether a warning stimulus affected a motor response to a visual stimuluswhich was not perceived with a backward masking by inferring from electromyogram reaction times(EMG-RT) and event-related potentials (ERPs). Onsets of lateralized readiness potentials (LRPs), P100latency, and P300 amplitude, which indicate perceptual information processing and cognitive informationprocessing, were observed. EMG-RTs and these ERPs components were affected by warning stimulus withor without the backward masking, suggesting that perceptual information processing for motor responsesto the visual stimulus without awareness may be also influenced by the warning stimulus. Moreover,the degree to which a warning stimulus affected duration of perceptual information processing may notdiffered between under the backward masking paradigm and under other stimulus presentations. Potentiality of "Regional Language"
Get PDF戦後の「方言撲滅運動」推進によって、各地域本来のことばが失われてきた。その反省から、1970年代以降、沖縄では地域のことばの見直し運動が活発化した。その中心には、「自分たちは何ものか」という問いがあった。一方、地域のことばに対する誇りを保ち続けてきた関西の人々は、自分たちのことばの中に息づく、その地域に独特な発想やマインドを発揮できた。それによって、全国に向けて豊かな発信を続け、戦後社会に貢献してきた。関西と沖縄の動きを併せて考えてみると、「自分たちは何ものか」の問いの先にあるものこそ、地域のことばの中に脈動する「発想・マインド」に他ならないことに気がつく。その「発想・マインド」は、自分の地域のことばを、とにかく使うことによって活性化する。ならば、どのように使うべきなのか。地域のことばを私的場面はもちろん、公的場面でも意識化し果敢に使ってゆく実践の継続である。実践によって発想・マインドが賦活され、その地域ならではの真に個性的な発信が可能になる。私たちが向かう分権社会は、各地の多様な発想・マインドが、それぞれに独特な発信となって全国に届く、地域言語多様性開花の時代に他ならない。In consequence of the postwar` dialect eradication campaign,'the standardization of Japanese languagewas promoted nationwide and the linguistic regional specificities have been excluded. Out of the regret, anactivity to preserve the regional dialect was cranked-up in Okinawa. The question –" Who are we" was thecore concept of the activity. By contrast, the people in Kansai area who are proud of their linguistic regionalspecificities have been demonstrated their own way of thinking and minds. They have been contributed tothe postwar society by spiritedly sending out the message to all part of the country. Taking the both caseshappened in Okinawa and Kansai into consideration, we can find that the answer to the question" Who arewe" is the` way of thinking and mind" which is pulsating in every regional dialects. The` way of thinkingand mind' will be activated by using their own regional dialect by the local people. Then, The questionnow is how we should handle it. We should recommend the continuous practices of the use of the locallanguage in not only the private but also the public situations. That will activate the way of thinking andmind by those activities, and it will make it possible that people can have their own regional specific wayof thinking. Implementation of Musical Expression Analysis Functions for Audio-MIDI Encoder Tool "AUTO-F"
Get PDF既開発の音響信号からMIDI符号に自動変換するツール「オート符」は、一般化調和解析に基づく周波数解析を採用することにより倍音を含む和音を高精度に解析できるという特徴があり、音声信号を与えると、標準的なMIDI音源で近似的に音声を再現可能なMIDIデータを生成できる。しかし、本ツールを楽曲のMIDI打ち込み支援の用途に活用する場合、生成されるMIDIデータより倍音に対応する音符だけを高精度に除去する機能が要望される。一般的な楽曲では倍音は複数の基音に由来して発生することが多く、倍音と基音を兼ねる音符も少なくないため識別は容易ではなかった。また、楽曲によっては、半音未満の精度で微分音解析を行い、ピッチベンドなどの表情制御コードを自動的に付加されることが要求される。本稿では、周波数解析における時間分解能と処理速度を向上させることにより、倍音と基音の識別精度および半音間の微分音の解析精度を大幅に向上させることが実現できたので、その結果を報告する。Our previously developed audio to MIDI code converter tool "Auto-F" has a feature of highprecisionharmonic tone analysis functions based on the Generalized Harmonic Analysis algorithm.Applying this tool, from given vocal acoustic signals we can create MIDI data, which enable toplayback voice-like signals with a standard MIDI synthesizer. However, for general MIDI editingpurposes, encoded harmonic tone note-events should be identifi ed and removed. It has been diffi cultto distinguish harmonic tone note-events from fundamental ones, because a harmonic tone may bebased on multiple fundamental tones and some harmonic tone may be also a fundamental one ingeneral music works. Moreover, in some cases microtonal expression control such as a pitch-bendbetween semi-tone based note events should be analyzed and added. In this paper, we propose animproved frequency analysis algorithm, which can decrease signal analysis processing loads byimproving an analysis frame positioning. How Effective the Short-term Studying Program in anEnglish-speaking Country is for Japanese University Students : Focusing on the Listening and Writing Proficiencies
Get PDF本研究の目的は、3週間の海外短期語学研修の効果を検証することである。研修前後に4部門(文法、作文、読解、リスニング)計75問の英語テストと15分のエッセイライティングを参加者14名に課した。木村(2009)ではリスニングに研修前後の有意差が確認できた為、今回は研修途中にも2回テストを行い、どの時点でリスニング力に伸びが認められるかを測定する試みも行った。ライティングの評価には、多くの研究者が使用しているT-unit、Error-free T-unitの他に、習熟度の低い学習者のライティング力評価には有用である可能性があると考え、新たな試みとして独自に、"Global-error-free T-unit" を導入してみた。英語テストの結果は、学生の作文、リスニング、総合点において有意差が認められたが、研修途中でのリスニングの伸びは確認できなかった。ライティングに関しては、accuracy(正確さ) には向上が見られなかったが、fluency(流暢さ) には大きな向上が認められた。Although many Japanese institutions of higher education plan and offer their students short-termoverseas programs, the number of studies reporting the effect of short-term programs on SLA havebeen very limited. Kimura (2009) found the listening ability progressed significantly after 3-weekoverseas program. In the current study, the author tried to examine if the participants' progress inlistening can be observed at any point during the 3-week period making use of STEP test. At the sametime, the author tried to find out if the participants' writing proficiency improved by analyzing essayswritten before and after the program. The analysis was practiced not only by making use of T-units andError-free T-units but also by utilizing "Global-error-free T-units" as a new attempt. It was because"Global-error-free T-unit" was thought to be more suitable to analyze the written language of writerswith very low English proficiency. The results were that their listening proficiency showed significantprogress after 3-week program though no point during the period was ascertained when their listeningability got significantly higher. As for the writing proficiency, their fluency drastically improved, but noprogress was observed in the aspect of accuracy as well as that of complexity.2KJ00008203519論文Articledepartmental bulletin pape
