Investigating the English Speaking Test Component of the Estonian National Examination
Get PDFThe Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology or MEXT (2014) has announced that even the university entrance examinations, communication skills in terms of the four language skills need to be evaluated properly.
This means that the skill of speaking, which until now has been ignored, will be given more consideration along with the other skills.
However, the development of the speaking test evaluation, in particular, has made little progress in Japan (Ito, 2008).
Estonia, on the other hand, has had an examination for measuring national oralproficiency, including a test for measuring secondary level exit examinations, since 1997.
The purpose of this paper is to give an overview of the Estonian speaking test, and to look at its construction, task types, procedures for marking and teacher training for implementing the test.
Suggestions will be made as to how we can incorporate ideas from the Estonian experience into the Japanese systemdepartmental bulletin pape
第二回福山大学教育改革シンポジウム講演記録 「初年次教育の動向：成果につながる初年次教育とは？」
Get PDF昨年度から始まった教育改革シンポジウムの第二回目を、本年度は「初年次教育」のテーマの下、平成27年9月18日（金）に1号館大講義室（01101 教室）で開催しました。
昨年度と同様に二部構成とし、第１部では、初年次教育学会の初代会長を務められ、この概念が未だわが国で広まっていなかった時期から研究に取り組んで来られ、この分野のわが国おける先駆者とも呼ぶべき同志社大学社会学部の山田礼子教授をお招きして講演をお願いしました。
第２部では本学での初年次教育の取り組みについて、橋本優花里教授（人間文化学部心理学科）、田淵紀彦准教授（薬学部薬学科）、伍賀正典准教授（工学部スマートシステム学科）が、それぞれの学科の特徴ある教養ゼミの事例をご紹介くださいました。
当日は学外も含めて131名の参加者が熱心に各講演に聴き入りました。山田先生の講演は、本学での今後の初年次教育改善にとって有益な示唆に富む内容であったことから、ここでは同講演の内容を掲載することといたします。departmental bulletin pape

The Influence of Revision of the Course of Studies in Japan on the Basic Science Literacy of University Students
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to investigate whether revision of Courses of Study in Japan influenced the degree of basic literacy of science in university students.
The Courses of Study have been revised so that hours of the class of the science in elementary and junior high schools were increased to improve their scholastic aptitude of the sciences in 2008. Furthermore, the subject division of science was changed in high school.
However, this revision of the Courses of Study made no significant difference to the degree of understanding of science in university students.
On the other hand,improved items of the correct answer rate were almost entirely different from fallen items of that,before and after the revision of the Courses of Study.
This suggests that the result was affected in the change in the emphasized points in the learning of science, before and after the revision of the Courses of Study.departmental bulletin pape
NMR Study of Mn_0.97 Cr_0.03 AS under High Pressure
Get PDFMn_0.97 Cr_0.03 AS below about 300 K under atmospheric pressure has a NiAs-type structure and is ferromagnetic.
Its zero-field NMR has been observed at 4.2 K and 77 K as a function of pressure.
Under atmospheric pressure at 4.2 K, 55^Mn and 75^As NMR are observed at 236 and 208 MHz,respectively.
Above approximately 4 kbar at 4.2 K and 77 K, a broad NMR line, where 55^Mn NMR overlaps with 75^As NMR, is observed within the region from 140 to 200 MHz and assigned to the double helical magnetic MnP-type phase induced by applying pressure.
It suggests that the Mn spins in Mn_0.97Cr_0.03 As take the value nearly close to a low spin state in MnP-type phase

The Effects of Short-Term Internship Participation on Basic Social Skills of University Students
Get PDFIn the present study, we will show the effects of internship.
This research centers around independent internship program called "Bingo Open internship" at Fukuyama University, Which was done with the cooperation of companies and the government in Bingo area.
This study focuses around students who participated in the internship, using pre-participation and postparticipation analysis of diagnostic results from "The Basic Skills Measurement of Productive Members of Society" compares the degree of growth of the students.
The results show students capacity was improved in all areas of basic social skills through internship participation.

Get PDF学生が国際社会の中で社会人としてのスキルを身に付け、教養を深めて高い見識を持ち、豊かな人間性を培うために共通教育の役割は大きい。そのため、共通教育の今後の充実が望まれる。そこで、魅力的な授業を一緒に考え企画することを学生に呼びかけ、学習の主体者である学生の参加による企画提案型の意見交換会を開催する。
