The learning process will be more meaningful by doing together to form a community, it will be improve the achievement of the competence of students. Strategies that can create a learning process together is a Learning Community (LC) strategy. LC strategy can be applied through learning models, especially learning models that require joint discussion and problem solving. One such learning model is the inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of the implementation of the LC strategy through the inquiry learning model to the achievement of the attitude competence of students. This research conducted at SMPN 12 padang class VIII about the structure and function of plant tissue materials. This research is a experimental research with Non-Randomized Control Group Post test Only Design. The population of this research is all students of class VIII SMPN 12 Padang. The sample in this research is all students of class VIII.2 and VIII.3 SMPN 12 Padang. Data of this research obtained by used observation method and analyzed by used statistic t-test. The result showed that eksperimental class and control class have different achievement of the attiude competence with t calculate is 3,98 and t table is 1,67 with α 0,05. It showed that t calculate > t table, so it concluded that LC strategy through inqury learning model can improved the achievement of the attitude competence of students

The Influence Of Implementation Firing Line Types Of Active Learning Model For The SMPN 2 Padang Science Students Grade VII

    Get PDF
The purpose of this research is to know the influence of implementation of learning model of active learning type Firing Line to science learning result of grade VII SMPN 2 Padang on material classification of living creatures and matter. This research is based on problems at SMPN 2 Padang which is still dominated by teacher-centered learning so that the students knowledge is limited to the material was given by the teacher, so that students get bored faster during classroom learning process. This research was categorized into experimental research using Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design. The sample of this research was chosen by purposive sampling method. The  subjects of this research are two different classes; the first class is VII4 as the experimental class using learning model of active learning type Firing Line andVII5 as the control class using conventional of learning. Data of students learning outcomes were analyzed by using t-test analysis. The result of the research are according to the learning outcomes which is using t-test it showed that the learning outcomes of experimental group is better than control group with thitung(4,42) ˃ ttabel(1,67) which means the research hypothesis is accepted and student activities show that learning process using the learning model of Active Learning is better with percentage 77% than the conventional of learning with percentage 75%

Biology Department Universitas Negeri Padang students’ creative thinking competence in evolution was low. This fact assumed can be solved using RQA strategy and Molecular Evolution learning book that have developed. This research conducted to know the effect of using RQA strategy and learning book to students’ concept understanding compared with the other class that used conventional method. The samples were 46 students. Data was posttest score in evolution used creative thinking instrument that have been validated by expert and analyzed used t-test. The result showed value 0,313>0,05; it concluded that there were no significant different of students’ creative thinking competence between students at experiment class and control

This research purpose to comparestudents’biology learning achievement that used cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together with the other class that usedTalking Stickinclass XI at SMA PembangunanLaboratoriumUniversitasNegeri Padang. This research was based on the problem in this school that still dominated by teacher centered learning and low interest and activityof students in learning, those make the students bored in the classroom. This research was quasi-experimental research which used the static group comparison designthat modified, because in this research didnot used any control class. Sample of this research was choosen by saturation sampling. Result showed thatstudents’ biology learning achievementusing Numbered Head Togetherhas significant difference with using Talking Stick learning model

    Get PDF
Adolescent knowledge about reproductive health is still low, it causes high cases of adolescent reproductive health. Lack of adolescent knowledge about reproductive health is caused by several factors such as lack of information about reproductive health among adolescents. One way to increase adolescent knowledge is to provide knowledge about true reproductive health through the education process. In formal education about reproductive health has been published as part of the curriculum and described in KD 4.1. It presents the results of tracing information from various sources related to health and prevention efforts for reproductive organ disorders. The purpose of this study is to determine the percentage of adolescent reproductive health preventive efforts in the reproduction system materials in the integrated science books SMP. This research is descriptive research. Population and sample in this research is material of reproduction system which is found in integrated science book of junior high school which is mostly used by junior high school student in Padang city, that is book of Kemendikbud, Erlangga, and Yudhistira. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses book analysis instruments that contain indicators of adolescent reproductive health preventive efforts. Data analysis techniques are performed using percentages for each category and determine the coefficient of agreement. The results showed that the percentage of adolescent reproductive health preventive efforts in books Kemendikbud 62%, Erlangga 39%, and Yudhistira 44%. So it can be concluded that the three books are still less presenting efforts to prevent adolescent reproductive health is <70%

Evolution is one of biology material that learn in senior high school. Many differences on understanding evolution theory give effect this material cannot be taught optimally. The main factor that cause it is religiousity and the low of teachers’ background knowledge. This research conducted to analyze biology preservice teacher about evolutionary learning at senior high school. This descriptive research did at Biology Education Study Program, Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta on August 2016 until January 2017. Population were students of Biology Education Study Program Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta on semester five in academic year 2015/2016 that took evolutionary course in two parallel class with total 47 students. Sampling used total sampling. Data was the result of students’ last paper analysis. The result showed that 100% students said that evolution material is needed and important to teach for senior high school students; with various reason. For the method of teaching evolution, 75% students suggest that evolution should be teach by some interesting methods. Furthermore, students (±20%) also gave opinion that evolution can be taught by using prehistoric site, such as Sangiran and Trinil to give direct experience to them

One of the prevention efforts conducted is sexual education from an early age and more intensified in adolescence. The purpose of this study is the application of learning models and teaching materials of sexual education in accordance with the characteristics of adolescent learners, where at this age prone to sexual deviation. Sex education teaching materials synergize with the core competencies and basic competencies that have been set in the Curriculum 2013 for class IX SMP. The research and development model used in this research is Thiagarajan development model consisting of four stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate
