Flexibilidades gerenciais de uma OS na gestão de um hospital público no Amazonas: solução ou má gestão no uso dos recursos públicos?
Get PDFConsidering that the management of Hospital Delphina Aziz has been carried out by a social organization (OS) since its inauguration, research was carried out on partnerships between the Government of Amazonas and OSs in the health area, in order to analyze the advantages and limitations arising from the managerial flexibilities of an OS in the management of a public hospital. To this end, it was necessary to highlight the possible advantages of an OS in hospital management, identify possible problems due to its flexibility and verify the control mechanisms in the partnership. A qualitative descriptive research was then carried out, through a case study on the management of the Delphina Aziz Hospital by the OS National Institute of Social and Human Development - INDSH. It was found that the OS model can have significant effects on the management of a public establishment, but the improper use of the management flexibilities of an OS, combined with the lack of adequate control mechanisms, can result in irregularities in management, demanding greater attention and responsibility by the parties involved in the partnership.Tendo em vista que a gestão do Hospital Delphina Aziz se dá por uma organização social (OS) desde a sua inauguração, realizou-se uma pesquisa sobre as parcerias entre o Governo do Amazonas e as OSs na área da saúde, a fim de analisar as vantagens e limitações decorrentes das flexibilidades gerenciais de uma OS na gestão de um hospital público. Para tanto, foi necessário destacar as possíveis vantagens de uma OS na gestão hospitalar, identificar eventuais problemas em face de suas flexibilidades e verificar os mecanismos de controle na parceria. Realizou-se, então, uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter descritivo, através de um estudo de caso sobre a gestão do Hospital Delphina Aziz pela OS Instituto Nacional de Desenvolvimento Social e Humano - INDSH. Verificou-se que o modelo OS pode trazer efeitos significativos na gestão de um estabelecimento público, mas o uso indevido das flexibilidades gerenciais de uma OS, aliada à falta de mecanismos adequados de controle, pode resultar em irregularidades na gestão, demandando maior atenção e responsabilidade pelas partes envolvidas na parceria.1Nã

Automatic glaucoma classification using the JustRAIGS dataset
No full textGlaucoma, a group of eye diseases that cause damage to the optic nerve, can lead to irreversible vision loss if left undetected. Fundus imaging is crucial for glaucoma diagnosis, but manual analysis is expensive and inconsistent. This paper presents a method that leverages the extensive JustRAIGS challenge dataset to train a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for automatic glaucoma detection. The recommendation model identifies images with referenceable glaucoma signals. As a preprocessing step, a pretrained segmentation model isolates the optic disc region for focused analysis. By addressing class imbalance through sampling techniques and employing pretrained CNN architectures, our method demonstrates superior performance when compared to a related work.Glaucoma, um grupo de doenças oculares que causam danos ao nervo óptico, pode levar à perda irreversível da visão se não for detectado. A imagem do fundo é crucial para o diagnóstico do glaucoma, mas a análise manual é cara e inconsistente. Este artigo apresenta um método que aproveita o extenso conjunto de dados do desafio JustRAIGS com o objetivo de treinar uma Rede Neural Convolucional (CNN) para detecção automática de glaucoma. O modelo de recomendação identifica imagens com sinais de glaucoma referível. Como uma etapa de pré-processamento, um modelo de segmentação pré-treinado isola a região do disco óptico para análise focada. O papel dos influenciadores digitais na decisão de compras: uma análise dos aspectos percebidos pelos seguidores
Get PDFSocial networks have become fundamental, shaping consumer behaviors and purchasing decisions. In this context, digital influencers stand out as key figures, using their accounts to connect companies and followers, directly influencing their choices. This research aimed to analyze the aspects that followers consider relevant in the purchase decision based on recommendations of these professionals. It is a qualitative-quantitative approach with data collection being carried out through a questionnaire applied to 250 participants in the city of Manaus. The profile of the respondents is in the age group of 18 to 24 years, with the predominance of the female audience. It was noticed that there is a positive effect on the disclosure made by influencers, since more than half of the participants said they had already purchased products indicated by these professionals. In relation to the branches of products and services that followers are more likely to buy, those of beauty, fashion and gastronomy stood out. Instagram and TikTok were pointed out as the most used social networks by respondents. As for marketing strategies, the most effective are: reviews and unboxings, short stories, "before and after" comparisons and discount coupons. The aspects most valued by followers include the influencer being a source of product news, the influencer's personal experience with products and services, the visual quality of publications and the influencer's credibility. These results highlight the importance of digital influencers as influential agents in the purchase decision process in the digital age and offer valuable insights for companies and marketers who want to optimize their communication and digital marketing strategies.As redes sociais se tornaram fundamentais, moldando comportamentos e decisões de compra dos consumidores. Neste contexto, os influenciadores digitais se destacam como figuras chaves, utilizando suas contas para conectar empresas e seguidores, influenciando diretamente suas escolhas. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar os aspectos que os seguidores consideram relevantes na decisão de compra com base em recomendações desses profissionais. Trata-se de uma abordagem qualitativa quantitativa com a coleta de dados sendo realizada por meio de um questionário aplicado a 250 participantes da cidade de Manaus. O perfil dos respondentes está na faixa etária de 18 a 24 anos, com a predominância do público feminino. Percebeu-se que há efeito positivo na divulgação feita por influenciadores, uma vez que mais da metade dos participantes afirmaram já ter comprado produtos indicados por esses profissionais. Em relação aos ramos de produtos e serviços que os seguidores são mais propensos a comprar, destacaram-se os de beleza, moda e gastronomia. O Instagram e o TikTok foram apontados como as redes sociais mais utilizadas pelos respondentes. Quanto às estratégias de marketing, as mais eficazes são: reviews e unboxings, stories curtos, comparações de “antes e depois” e cupons de desconto. Os aspectos mais valorizados pelos seguidores incluem o influenciador ser uma fonte de novidades de produtos, a experiência pessoal do influenciador com os produtos e serviços, a qualidade visual das publicações e a credibilidade do influenciador. Análise das ações técnicas dos goleiros de futsal nos jogos escolares de Parintins de 2022 – juvenil masculino
Get PDFThe objective of this study was to analyze the technical actions of futsal goalkeepers who participated in the 2022 Parintins School Games, specifically in the male youth category. The analyzes were carried out during the 15 matches involving 10 school teams participating in the competition. To characterize the goalkeepers' performances, the data collected during the matches were adapted to the scout proposed by the author of this research based on the model by D’Avila et al (2002), as a way of guiding the analysis. In this study, the following factors were analyzed: finishing, finishing area, location of the goal scored. The result was divided into: goal, goalkeeper save, shot away and shot on target. A total of 514 completions were obtained, 233 of which were correct. Finishing area 2 was where there was the highest percentage of finishes with 22.18%. Regarding the location of the goal where the shots hit, location 4 stood out with 23.60%. From the number of successful shots, 26.18% of goal conversions were obtained, with 62.23% of saves made by goalkeepers. It is concluded that the goal location where goalkeepers managed to be most effective with their defensive actions was location 8 (94.12%). The place with the highest occurrence of goals in the School Games was in area 1 (19.68%) and area 4 (29.50%). The types of defenses most performed by goalkeepers were low saves without falling (DBSQ) with 8.05% and medium defense without falling (DMSQ) with 7.28%.O objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar as ações técnicas dos goleiros de futsal que participaram dos Jogos Escolares de Parintins de 2022, especificamente na categoria juvenil masculino. As análises foram realizadas durante as 15 partidas que envolveram 10 equipes escolares participantes da competição. Para caracterizar as atuações dos goleiros, os dados coletados durante as partidas foram adaptados ao scout proposto pelo autor desta pesquisa baseado no modelo de D’Avila et al (2002), como forma de orientação da análise. Neste estudo foram analisados os seguintes fatores: finalização, área de finalização, local do gol acertado. O resultado foi dividido em: gol, defesa do goleiro, finalização fora e finalização certa. Obteve-se 514 finalizações totalizadas, sendo 233 finalizações certas. A área 2 de finalização foi onde houve maior percentual de finalizações com 22,18%. Com relação ao local do gol onde as finalizações acertaram, o local 4 sobressaiu-se com 23,60%. A partir do número de finalizações certas obteve-se 26,18% em conversão de gol, sendo realizadas 62,23% defesas dos goleiros. Conclui-se que o local do gol em que os goleiros conseguiram ser mais efetivos com suas ações de defesas foi o local 8 (94,12%). O local de maior ocorrência de gols nos Jogos Escolares foi na área 1 (19,68%) e a área 4 (29,50%). Os tipos de defesa mais executada pelos goleiros foram as defesas baixas sem queda (DBSQ) com 8,05% e defesa média sem queda (DMSQ) com 7,28%.4Nã
O impacto da exportação de carne bovina nas queimadas e no desmatamento da Amazônia Legal
Get PDFThis study investigates the relationship between the expansion of beef cattle ranching and the increase in wildfires in the Brazilian Legal Amazon (AL) between 1998 and 2023. A time series analysis reveals a significant positive association between the quantity of beef exports and the Burn Index, indicating that the expansion of cattle ranching is a driving force behind deforestation. This research contributes to the literature by providing evidence on the role of cattle ranching in intensifying wildfires. The methodology employed is based on a VAR model. The results highlight the need for public policies that promote sustainable beef production. Although the study has some limitations, the analyses conducted emphasize the importance of understanding the complex socio-environmental interactions in the AL for the formulation of more specific public policies for the protection of the biome.Este estudo investiga a relação entre a expansão da pecuária bovina e o aumento das queimadas na Amazônia Legal (AL), utilizando dados de 1998 a 2023. Uma análise de séries temporais revela uma manifestação positiva e significativa entre a quantidade de exportações de carne bovina e o índice de queimadas (BURN), indicando que a expansão da pecuária é um dos motores do desmatamento. A pesquisa contribui para a literatura ao fornecer evidências sobre o papel da pecuária na intensificação de queimadas. A metodologia empregada, baseada em um modelo VAR. Os resultados destacam a necessidade de políticas públicas que promovam a produção de carne bovina de forma sustentável. Initial coin offerings: a bibliometric review
No full textThis article's object of study is Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), which are a disruptive way for technological startups to raise funds by selling digital tokens. This modality, based on blockchain technology, expands access to investment to a wider audience, but also presents high risks due to high market volatility and lack of regulation. The bibliometric study focuses on key questions about ICOs, including their relevance as a source of investment for startups, regulatory challenges and factors that impact their success. To achieve the research objective of identifying success factors and challenges of ICOs, a rigorous methodology was adopted that included a systematic literature review, bibliometric analysis and content analysis. The study analyzed a sample of 120 articles published between 2018 and 2024, obtained from the Scopus indexed database. The data was organized into seven clusters with the help of the VOSviewer software. The research points out which are the most significant countries, institutions, authors and publications. The United States, China and the United Kingdom stand out as those that contribute most to the literature related to the subject. The results indicate future areas of investigation, including the environmental effects of ICOs, international regulations, and variations in different economic contexts. This study offers a contribution to the field of study of entrepreneurial finance, for academics, entrepreneurs, investors and decision makers seeking to understand the sustainable potential of ICOs in the financial sector.Este artigo tem como objeto de estudo as Ofertas Iniciais de Moedas (ICOs), que são uma forma disruptiva de startups tecnológicas captarem recursos vendendo tokens digitais. Essa modalidade, baseada em tecnologia blockchain, expande o acesso ao investimento para um público mais amplo, mas também apresenta riscos elevados devido à alta volatilidade do mercado e à falta de regulamentação. O estudo bibliométrico concentra-se em questões-chave sobre as ICOs, incluindo sua relevância como fonte de investimentos para startups, os desafios regulatórios e os fatores que impactam seu êxito. Para atingir o objetivo da pesquisa de identificar fatores de sucesso e desafios das ICOs, foi adotada uma metodologia rigorosa que incluiu revisão sistemática da literatura, análise bibliométrica e análise de conteúdo. O estudo analisou uma amostra de 120 artigos publicados entre 2018 e 2024, obtidos da base de dados indexada Scopus. Os dados foram organizados em sete clusters com o auxílio do software VOSviewer. Abordagens farmacológicas no manejo da síndrome do ovário policístico e endometriose: uma análise comparativa de eficácia e segurança
Get PDFPolycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and Endometriosis are gynecological diseases that affect millions of women of reproductive age, compromising their quality of life due to symptoms such as metabolic alterations, chronic pain and infertility. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of different pharmacological approaches in the management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and Endometriosis. This study is an integrative review based on articles from the last 10 years, collected in the PubMed, Scielo and Google Scholar databases. The search resulted in 68 articles, of which 12 were selected for PCOS, 12 for endometriosis and 2 for surgical intervention. The results, detailed in Tables 1, 2 and 3, highlight the title, authors, objectives and conclusions, focusing on the efficacy, safety and adverse effects of pharmacological approaches, including hormonal treatments and more recent therapies. For PCOS, the main pharmacological approaches are COCs to regulate menstruation and treat hyperandrogenism, combined with insulin sensitizers. For endometriosis, COCs and progestogens are recommended for symptomatic relief, and laparoscopy, in addition to being diagnostic, can treat lesions and prevent recurrences when combined with drugs. The studies analyzed highlight the importance of individualized pharmacological approaches in the management of PCOS and Endometriosis, aiming to alleviate symptoms, improve quality of life and minimize risks, considering the particularities of each patient. Despite the advances, future research is essential to develop more effective therapies and better understand the physical and emotional impacts, promoting holistic and patientcentered pharmacological care.A Síndrome dos Ovários Policísticos (SOP) e a Endometriose são doenças ginecológicas que afetam milhões de mulheres em idade reprodutiva, comprometendo a qualidade de vida devido a sintomas como alterações metabólicas, dores crônicas e infertilidade. Este trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar a eficácia e a segurança das diferentes abordagens farmacológicas no manejo da Síndrome do Ovário Policístico (SOP) e Endometriose. Este estudo é uma revisão integrativa baseada em artigos dos últimos 10 anos, coletados nas bases PubMed, Scielo e na ferramenta de pesquisa Google Acadêmico. A pesquisa resultou em 68 artigos, dos quais foram selecionados 12 para SOP, 12 para endometriose e 2 para intervenção cirúrgica. Os resultados, detalhados nos quadros 1, 2 e 3 destacam título, autores, objetivos e conclusões, com foco na eficácia, segurança e efeitos adversos das abordagens farmacológicas, incluindo tratamentos hormonais e terapias mais recentes. Para SOP as principais abordagens farmacológicas são os COCs para regular a menstruação e tratar o hiperandrogenismo, combinado com sensibilizadores de insulina. Para endometriose, COCs e progestagênios são recomendados para alívio sintomático, e a laparoscopia, além de diagnóstica, pode tratar lesões e prevenir recorrências quando combinada com fármacos. Os estudos analisados ressaltam a importância de abordagens farmacológicas individualizadas no manejo da SOP e da Endometriose, visando aliviar sintomas, melhorar a qualidade de vida e minimizar riscos, considerando as particularidades de cada paciente.
