Tunisia is one of the pioneering developing countries in terms of energyefficiency policy initiated since the mid-1980s. Sensitivity of Crude Oil Price Change to Major Global Factors and to Russian–Ukraine War Crisis
To assess the elasticity of crude oil price to global factors related to supply of crude oil and the US dollar exchange rate, the authors employed nonlinear models including flexible least squares, and maximum likelihood estimator, in addition to OLS regression mode; using yearly data from 1965 to 2021. The findings indicate change in oil prices due to 1% change in any of the explanatory variables, as follows: the effect of the US dollar depreciation rate, raise crude oil price/barrel by 71 US cents; and increase in OPEC production, decrease crude oil price by 82 US cents; a decrease in non-OPEC production, raise oil price by 4.78 US above its level before Russian–Ukraine crisis, meaning that crude oil price expected to rise at 160 US pb
Increasing Efficiency through Tokenization of Digital Assets in an Exporting Company 4.0
Digital assets have been introduced to the global market as one of the innovations with the potential. Even though their impact on the traditional economy is impossible to measure. Security tokens (ST) are the ones that stand out due to the preference they have from producers and consumers. The former obtains financial resources efficiently for their specific projects. While the latter look for STs in global digital platforms of trust and security. Which are regulated by public securities sales offices. The research proposes a method under the fuzzy logic theory and its applied models. It highlights the use of the triangular fuzzy numbers, the Fuzzy Delfi, Expertons, Hamming Distance, and the fuzzy inference system (FIS). The benefits and limitations of the proposal were highlighted when the proposal was used in an agro-export company. The route or algorithm of the value system to be followed in the execution of the investments stands out. Therefore, the research fulfills its objective and is very useful for small and medium export 4.0 companies. Since they are eager to obtain cash flow to improve their technical efficiency and to be able to export their artifacts to global markets. That is to say, the producer of goods can obtain an unprecedented benefit in an agile and efficient way in the context of Industry 4.0
Fiscal Sustainability: Public Revenue-Expenditure Nexus in a Few Asymmetric Countries in the Globe
This article examines the public revenue and expenditure patterns and its nexus of a few countries. This paper employs panel unit root, panel cointegration and Vector Error Correction Model to analyze the inter-temporal association among the variables of government revenues, expenditures and the growth of GDP through the panel data of ten divergent nations over the period 2001 to 2017. The study exercised three cointegration tests and these estimates find the evidence of long run association among articulated three variables. To know the cross-section status of different nations this paper diverted Phillips-Peron test with bandwidth statistics and it asserted that, all ten countries secured the long run association among the variables. The study uncovered that, growth of GDP has escalated in 0.78% by one percentage increase in revenue expenditure; meanwhile, 1.41% lessening in GDP growth by one percentage increase in revenue income. The specified model is supported by a few diagnostic tests
Analysis of Shoreline Changes in Ikoli River in Niger Delta Region Yenagoa, Bayelsa State Using Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS)
The use of Digital Shoreline Analysis System was used to determine shoreline changes in Ikoli River, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Shoreline data were extracted from satellite imagery over thirty years (1991-2021). The basis of this study is to use Digital Shoreline Analysis System to determine erosion and accretion areas. The result reveals that the average erosion rate in the study area is 1.16 m/year and the accretion rate is 1.62 m/year along the Ikoli River in Ogbogoro Community in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The mean shoreline length is 5.24 km with a baseline length of 5.2 km and the area is classified into four zones to delineate properly area of erosion and accretion based on the five class of Linear regression rate, endpoint rate and weighted linear rate of which zone I contain very high erosion and high erosion with an area of landmass 255449.93 m2 of 38%, zone II contain moderate accretion, very high accretion and high accretion with a land area of 1666816.46 m2 with 24%, zone III has very high erosion and high erosion with an area of landmass 241610.85 m2 of 34 % and zone IV contain moderate accretion and high accretion with land area 30888.08 m2 with 4%. Out of the four zones, zone I and II were found to be eroding with 72% and zone II and IV contain accretion with 28%. The result shows that 44% of the area have been eroded. Therefore, coastal engineers, planners, and shoreline zone management authorities can use DSAS to create more appropriate management plans and regulations for coastal zones and other coastal parts of the state with similar geographic features
Microbiological and Proximate Evaluation of Tagelus adansonii, Bosc, 1801 (Mollusca: Bivalvia, Solecurtidae) in Mangrove Swamps of Iko Estuary, Southeast, Nigeria
Tagelus adansonii has served as man’s food around the world from time immemorial. However, the aquatic ecosystem in which they live is constantly polluted. Microbial and proximate compositions and energy value of T. adansonii were evaluated as indices for food safety and biomarker of pollution. Standard microbiological techniques and standard methods of AOAC were employed. Results showed that Bacillus substilis, Micrococcus species, Proteus species, Klebsiella species, Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio cholerea, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Enterobacter sp, Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus, and Chromatium species were the probable bacteria while Rhizopus stolonifer, Aspergillus niger, Penicillium species. Candida tropicalis, Fusarium species and Aspergillus flavus were the probable fungi isolated from the sample. Total Heterotrophic Bacterial Count (THBC), TVC, TCC, TSC and TFC in fresh sample were 2.01±0.14×105 , 2.77±0.27×10, 2.79±0.81×10, 6.08±0.21×102 , and 2.08±0.21×104 cfu g–1 respectively and concentrated mostly in the gut. The mean crude protein, moisture, carbohydrate, ash, lipid and crude fibre contents of the soft tissues were 60.92±2.38, 40.75±1.85, 26.58±2.91, 5.99±0.43, 5.56±0.51 and 4.13±0.10% respectively, while the energy or caloric value was 397.65±11.97. Proper monitoring and surveillance should be adopted by Government to check pollution of the aquatic environments and proper processing should be adopted before consumption for good public health
Study on Legal Issues of Ocean Fishing in China
“The 21st century is the century of the ocean.” In recent years, China has paid more and more attention to the promotion and development of the marine industry, especially the ocean fishery has brought immeasurable economic benefits to China. The development of the marine field is becoming more and more important in the national political, economic and cultural development. All coastal countries have included marine development in their national development strategies and continuously improved their marine legislation under the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the law of the sea. China’s pelagic fishing began in 1985, but because China’s pelagic fishing started too late, after the entry into force of the United Nations Convention on the law of the sea at the end of 1994, nearly 36% of the richest high seas on earth became the exclusive economic zone of coastal countries, and the development space of China’s pelagic fishing has become very limited. After just more than 30 years of development. However, before that, China’s pelagic fishing was still subject to the dual norms of international conventions and domestic laws, and China had not yet formulated a special law on pelagic fishing, and there were still many deficiencies in the legal system norms of pelagic fishing. Therefore, the biggest problem facing China’s pelagic fishery is how to better develop the marine industry under the system of laws and regulations, drive the coordinated economic development, provide legal guidance and help for pelagic fishermen, and provide solid technical support for building a marine power with Chinese characteristics
