A Case of Invasive Pulmonary Aspergillosis Resulted from the Treatment of Chronic Eczema
This was an advanced male (87-year-old) with refractory chronic eczema for over 40 years, based on his allergic constitution, accompanied with chronic kidney disease due to primary hypertension (CKD, phase 3). It was so diffi cult to tolerate the severe itching that the glucocorticoids (GC) had to be applied to it, but some new-onset respiratory symptoms, such as cough, dyspnea after exertion etc., occurred to this patient. Some classical IPA images were found on his pulmonary CT scanning, which were further comfirmed by the positive findings of GM-test, and then a final diagnosis of IPA was accordingly established. Unfortunately, a persistent fever emerged after starting an antifungal therapy to the patient, and his IL-2 level was detected to be superhigh. As a response to allergic fever, GC was carefully given intravenously again to treat it, and it turned out to be totally improved since then; suggesting that systemic thinking (integrated with the other clinical evidences) is essential to diagnose IPA, and GC can also be used to improve its symptoms with the existence of antifungal therapy
A Systematic Review of Biodiversity and Conservation of Indigenous Mushrooms (Basidiomycotina, Ascomycotina) of Central Africa Countryside: Uses, Distribution and Checklists
Significant socio-economic, spiritual, nutritional and medicinal needs of the countrysides in Central Africa region are obtainable from macrofungi. Conversely, anthropogenic activities and climate change have led to a reduction in the habitats of mushrooms which has led to some mushrooms becoming endangered. A dearth of information on the ecology, management and composition of mushrooms in Central Africa exists. Hence a review was systematically carried out on published mycological research outcomes from Central African countryside, to delineate the way forward. It was observed that the level of indigenous mycological knowledge was very high (> 60%) in all the tribes. The highest number of edible mushrooms was from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)(377 species), followed by Cameroon (50 species). The dataset showed that 448 edible mushrooms have been identified based on citable publications and 27 tribes/localities evaluated. Additionally the dataset showed 116 author-identified mushrooms that inhabitants did not identify and use. The most popular edible mushrooms from 79 key edible mushrooms were Russula (9 spp.), Termitomyces (8), Cantharellus (8), Plerotus (5), Amanita (5), Marasmius, Lactarius and Lactifluus (4 spp. each). The topmost consumed species were Pleurotus tuberregium (14 out of 27 localities), Auricularia cornea (13), Cantharellus congolensis (12), Marasmius bekolacongoli (12), Schizophyllum commune (11) and Cantharellus floridulus (11). Mushrooms for mythology uses: (Phallus indusiatus and Dictyophora sp.), Mythology+food: (Termitomyces robustus), Medicinal: (Daldinia concentrica, Ganoderma applanatum and Ganoderma lucidum), Medicinal+food: (Polyporus dictyopus, Schizophyllum commune and Termitomyces clypeatus) and Food+mythology+medicinal: (Termitomyces microcarpus and Termitomyces titanicus). Irrefutably, these previous ethnomycological and ecological studies have scarcely made a significant impact on fungi biodiversity

Efficient Parallel Processing of k-Nearest Neighbor Queries by Using a Centroid-based and Hierarchical Clustering Algorithm
The k-Nearest Neighbor method is one of the most popular techniques for both classification and regression purposes. Because of its operation, the application of this classification may be limited to problems with a certain number of instances, particularly, when run time is a consideration. However, the classification of large amounts of data has become a fundamental task in many real-world applications. It is logical to scale the k-Nearest Neighbor method to large scale datasets. This paper proposes a new k-Nearest Neighbor classification method (KNN-CCL) which uses a parallel centroid-based and hierarchical clustering algorithm to separate the sample of training dataset into multiple parts. The introduced clustering algorithm uses four stages of successive refinements and generates high quality clusters. The k-Nearest Neighbor approach subsequently makes use of them to predict the test datasets. Finally, sets of experiments are conducted on the UCI datasets. The experimental results confirm that the proposed k-Nearest Neighbor classification method performs well with regard to classification accuracy and performance
The Evaluation of the Cultural Contents in the English Textbook for Non-English Major Students: A Case Study at Independent College in China
This study investigates the existing General English textbook focusing on the cultural contents to enhance the intercultural awareness cultivation of Non-English major students in China. The findings of this study can provide the valuable information of cultural contents adaptation in the textbook. It also can reveal teachers’ expectation and their awareness of teaching General English together with integrating cultural contents. Apart from the textbook analysis, 10 English teachers participated in the study. Data were collected using New Century College English Zooming In: An Integrated English Course, checklist, and in-depth interview. The findings from the checklist verified that the cultural contents of the existing textbook are insufficient. Moreover, the in-depth interview uncovered that though the cultural contents appear in the textbooks, however, they are somewhat minimal expressions that deficient to support the effective intercultural cultivating. Based on the results of the analysis and exploration, this study provides a guidance on the types of intercultural content to be adapted in this course. The findings of this study can be beneficial to the intercultural textbook adaptation for academic institutes and individuals interested in the field of English language teaching and learning

Thoughts on the Inheritance and Development of China’s National Vocal Music Art in the New Era

Increasing Undergraduate Student’s Satisfaction in Higher Education: Optimal Improvement Path Analysis
Undergraduate student’s satisfaction is fundamental to creating and implementing successful higher education. The present study sought to identify the factors and analyses impact on satisfaction and service quality. The research was carried out in Chinese higher education institution, with a sample of 1660 students. Based on the higher education satisfaction questionnaire, the “optimal path” model of problem improvement was constructed by applying the “structural equation model”, satisfaction and importance matrix diagram, improvement effect size and other tools. Eight major areas of three-dimensional improvement of “satisfaction, importance, and improvement effect” were formed. Identify the issues that students have urgent demands, high importance, and strong improvement effects. Scientifically analyze the main attention focus of each subgroup of students. Concentrate superior resources and strengths, formulate targeted measures and make key breakthroughs based on “light”, “heavy”, “slow”, “urgent” and “classified”. Provide suggestions for improving student’s satisfaction and promoting the development of high-quality connotative and characteristic development in higher education
