The Concept of Ta'dib Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas in Children's Moral Education: A Family-Based Philosophical Study
Background: Islamic manners education is the main pillar in forming a child's character that is complete and dignified, especially in the midst of globalization, moral crisis, and value disorientation that has hit the modern family institution
Research Objectives: This article aims to examine the concept of ta'dib according to Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and its relevance in children's moral education in the family environment
Methods: The method used is a literature study with a content analysis approach to relevant primary and secondary literature.
Results: The results of the study indicate that: (1) ta'dib places adab as the core of Islamic education that includes spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions holistically; (2) this concept emphasizes the close relationship between knowledge, deeds, and morals as a unity that cannot be separated in the education process; and (3) the implementation of ta'dib in the family through parental role models, the habituation of Islamic values from an early age, and the internalization of spiritual values has proven effective in forming children's characters that are honest, responsible, and civilized.
Conclusions: Al-Attas' concept of ta'dib makes an important contribution to the formulation of a paradigm for children's moral education that is rooted in Islamic values and is able to respond to the challenges of the times philosophically and practically. Thus, ta'dib is not only relevant as a theoretical discourse, but also as an applied approach in family education that is oriented towards the formation of a whole person
Mediating Mechanism to Loyalty: Evidence from Indonesia’s Halal Coffee Shop Sector in a Sustainability-Oriented Framework
Purpose – This study investigates how service quality and promotion influence customer loyalty through the mediating role of customer satisfaction in the rapidly expanding halal coffee shop sector in Indonesia. Recent shifts in consumer behavior toward value-driven, ethical, and sustainability-oriented consumption have repositioned loyalty as a strategic indicator of long-term business resilience in Muslim-majority markets. Drawing on SERVQUAL, Expectation–Confirmation Theory, and principles of Shariah service ethics, this research employs a quantitative approach using 100 valid responses collected through non-probability and accidental sampling.
Method – Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, path analysis, and Sobel testing to assess the significance of the mediating effects.
Findings – The findings show that service quality and promotion positively and significantly affect customer satisfaction and loyalty, while satisfaction itself serves as a strong mediating mechanism that strengthens the indirect effects of both predictors..
Pratical Implication – This study contributes theoretically by integrating Islamic ethical perspectives into mainstream loyalty models, and practically by offering sustainability-driven implications for halal-based service enterprises.
Originality/value – These results highlight the strategic importance of delivering trustworthy, ethical, and sustainable service experiences aligned with Shariah values to cultivate long-term customer attachmen
Analisis Kendala Guru TK Dalam Penyusunan Instrumen Penilaian Di Banda Aceh Dan Aceh Besar
Assessment instruments play a crucial role in helping teachers understand the holistic development of early childhood, including cognitive, social-emotional, language, and motor aspects. However, many kindergarten teachers still encounter difficulties in developing and applying appropriate assessment instruments that align with children’s characteristics and curriculum demands. This study aims to analyze the challenges faced by kindergarten teachers in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar in designing assessment instruments for early childhood development. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving fifteen kindergarten teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using semi-open questionnaires and analyzed thematically following the model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings reveal that teachers possess a strong awareness of the importance of authentic assessment but face major challenges such as limited time, difficulties in formulating developmental indicators, and low digital literacy. Teachers attempt to overcome these constraints through peer collaboration and express the need for continuous training and practical guidelines from educational institutions. The study concludes that kindergarten teachers require systematic support to enhance their assessment competence so that authentic, objective, and development-oriented evaluation can be implemented effectively. The novelty of this study lies in mapping the real challenges faced by kindergarten teachers in Aceh within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation, serving as a foundation for strengthening teacher capacity in authentic assessment.Instrumen penilaian memiliki peran penting dalam membantu guru memahami perkembangan anak usia dini secara menyeluruh, baik dari aspek kognitif, sosial-emosional, bahasa, maupun motorik. Namun, masih banyak guru TK yang menghadapi kesulitan dalam penyusunan dan penerapan instrumen penilaian yang sesuai dengan karakteristik anak dan tuntutan kurikulum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kendala yang dialami guru TK di Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian perkembangan anak usia dini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan partisipan sebanyak lima belas guru TK yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner semi-terbuka dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis tematik menurut Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki kesadaran yang tinggi terhadap pentingnya penilaian autentik, namun menghadapi kendala utama berupa keterbatasan waktu, kesulitan merumuskan indikator perkembangan, serta rendahnya literasi digital. Guru berupaya mengatasi kendala tersebut melalui kolaborasi dengan rekan sejawat dan menyampaikan harapan agar ada pelatihan berkelanjutan serta panduan teknis dari lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa guru TK memerlukan dukungan sistematis untuk meningkatkan kompetensi penilaian agar proses asesmen lebih autentik, objektif, dan berorientasi pada perkembangan anak. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pemetaan kendala guru TK di Aceh dalam konteks implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka sebagai dasar perumusan strategi peningkatan kapasitas guru
Analisis Hukum Pidana Islam Terhadap Kasus Perdagangan Anak (Studi Putusan Nomor 177/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Pre): Studi Komparatif Antara Hukum Nasional dan Hukum Pidana Islam dalam Penerapan Teori Pemidanaan
Penelitian ini mengkaji tiga rumusan masalah utama, yaitu: (1) bagaimana analisis hukum nasional dalam kasus perdagangan anak berdasarkan Putusan Nomor 177/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Pre, (2) bagaimana pandangan hukum pidana Islam terhadap kasus tersebut, dan (3) bagaimana penerapan teori pemidanaan dalam putusan tersebut. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan yuridis normatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pertama, sistem hukum nasional telah berupaya menindak pelaku perdagangan anak sesuai Undang-Undang Perlindungan Anak, meskipun vonis masih relatif ringan; kedua, dalam perspektif hukum Islam, perbuatan pelaku tergolong eksploitasi yang diharamkan dan bertentangan dengan prinsip maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah; ketiga, penerapan sanksi dalam putusan mengikuti teori pemidanaan gabungan yang mempertimbangkan keadilan bagi pelaku dan efek jera bagi masyarakat.
This study examines three main issues: (1) the analysis of national law in child trafficking cases based on Decision Number 177/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Pre, (2) the view of Islamic criminal law on the case, and (3) the application of punishment theory in the verdict. This research uses field research with a normative juridical approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively. The results show that: first, the national legal system has attempted to address child trafficking cases according to the Child Protection Law, although the sentence remains relatively light; second, from an Islamic law perspective, the perpetrator’s act constitutes prohibited exploitation, contrary to the maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah principles; and third, the application of punishment in the decision follows a combined theory considering justice for the perpetrator and deterrence for society
Penerapan Judicial Pardon Terhadap Pelaku Tindak Pidana Narkoba
Kasus kejahatan narkotika mendominasi sistem peradilan pidana di Indonesia, berkontribusi signifikan terhadap masalah overcrowded di lembaga pemasyarakatan. Banyaknya narapidana kasus narkotika, khususnya pengguna ringan dan pelaku dengan peran kecil, menambah beban pada kapasitas penjara dan efisiensi sistem peradilan. Artikel ini membahas respons peradilan terhadap tingginya kasus narkotika, termasuk pendekatan judicial pardon (pengampunan yudisial) sebagai solusi alternatif untuk mengurangi kepadatan penjara. Judicial pardon memungkinkan pengurangan hukuman atau pengalihan ke program rehabilitasi bagi pelanggar berisiko rendah, sehingga mempercepat reintegrasi sosial mereka tanpa mengorbankan keamanan publik. Sementara itu, pengadilan juga menerapkan kebijakan penindakan yang lebih tegas untuk kasus narkotika besar guna memberi efek jera dan melindungi masyarakat. Tantangan seperti kapasitas terbatas, ketimpangan hukuman, serta ekspektasi publik menjadi penghambat efektivitas kebijakan ini. Reformasi peraturan dan penerapan peradilan cepat yang menekankan rehabilitasi bagi pengguna ringan dipandang sebagai solusi yang berpotensi mengurangi ketergantungan pada hukuman penjara dan meningkatkan keberhasilan sistem peradilan dalam menangani kasus narkotika
Overlapping Investigative Authorities of Prosecutors and Police in the Draft Criminal Procedure Code from an Indonesian Constitutional Perspective
The emergence of dualism in investigative authority between the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police in the draft Criminal Procedure Code (RUU KUHAP) has triggered legal ambiguity, resulting in uncertainty within Indonesia’s constitutional system. Investigative authority, which is generally vested in the police as stipulated in the current Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP), has been expanded—particularly through the provisions of Article 12 paragraph (11) and Article 111 paragraph (2) of the draft law. This situation has the potential to create overlapping jurisdictions, disrupt the principle of due process of law, and weaken the checks and balances within the criminal justice system. The lack of clarity in delineating the boundaries of authority between the police and the prosecutor’s office may lead to institutional conflicts and inefficiencies in law enforcement. This study employs a normative juridical method, utilizing both statutory and conceptual approaches. The statutory approach is used to systematically examine existing and proposed provisions of positive law, while the conceptual approach serves to analyze relevant legal principles and doctrines, including inter-agency coordination within the framework of the rule of law. Therefore, a clear and proportional restructuring of investigative authority is necessary to establish a criminal justice system that is fair, effective, and aligned with the principles of a constitutional state
Systematic Review: Penerapan Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) Dalam Pembelajaran IPA Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep dan Literasi Sains
Science learning in schools is still largely focused on theoretical delivery and rote memorization, giving students limited opportunities to develop a deep and contextual understanding of scientific concepts. The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology offers great potential to transform science learning into a more interactive, personalized, and meaningful process. This article employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by critically analyzing ten scientific journals published between 2021 and 2025 that discuss the application of AI in science education. The review process includes identification, selection, and analysis of research objectives, methodological designs, participant characteristics, and main findings. The results indicate that the integration of AI in science learning enhances conceptual understanding through adaptive learning features, visualization of abstract concepts, and automatic feedback. Moreover, AI-based learning strengthens students’ scientific literacy by providing learning experiences based on data exploration and independent scientific problem-solving. Several studies combine AI with inquiry-based and project-based learning models, resulting in significant improvements in critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills.Pembelajaran IPA di sekolah masih banyak berfokus pada penyampaian teori dan hafalan konsep, sehingga siswa kurang memperoleh kesempatan untuk memahami makna ilmiah secara mendalam dan kontekstual. Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) menawarkan potensi besar dalam mentransformasi proses pembelajaran IPA menuju pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, personal, dan bermakna. Artikel ini disusun menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis secara kritis sepuluh jurnal ilmiah terbitan tahun 2021–2025 yang membahas penerapan AI dalam pembelajaran IPA. Proses review meliputi identifikasi, seleksi, dan analisis terhadap tujuan penelitian, desain metode, karakteristik peserta, serta hasil utama yang dilaporkan. Hasil telaah menunjukkan bahwa penerapan AI dalam pembelajaran IPA mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep melalui fitur pembelajaran adaptif, visualisasi konsep abstrak, serta pemberian umpan balik otomatis. Selain itu, integrasi AI juga terbukti memperkuat literasi sains siswa dengan menghadirkan pengalaman belajar berbasis eksplorasi data dan pemecahan masalah ilmiah secara mandiri. Beberapa penelitian menggabungkan AI dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri dan project-based learning, menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penalaran ilmiah. Namun, beberapa kendala yang ditemukan antara lain keterbatasan infrastruktur digital, kesiapan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi, dan isu etika penggunaan data siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, penerapan AI dalam pembelajaran IPA berpotensi menjadi strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sains yang selaras dengan kebutuhan abad ke-21
KOMUNIKASI ORGANISASI, KEPEMIMPINAN, DAN KOMUNIKASI POLITIK: SATU TAHUN KINERJA KABINET MERAH PUTIH : KOMUNIKASI ORGANISASI, KEPEMIMPINAN, DAN KOMUNIKASI POLITIK: SATU TAHUN KINERJA KABINET MERAH PUTIH
This study aims to analyze the interrelation between bureaucratic communication systems, leadership styles, and the effectiveness of government political communication during the first year of the Merah Putih Cabinet. Using a qualitative approach and a literature review method, this research draws upon previous studies, national research institute reports, and official government data. The analysis is conducted through thematic and interpretive comparison of organizational communication theories and political communication theories. The findings indicate that although the Prabowo–Gibran administration has succeeded in maintaining political stability and achieving positive economic growth, communication effectiveness across government institutions and consistency in public messaging remain significant challenges. Communication incongruence between ministries reflects weak horizontal bureaucratic coordination. From a political communication perspective, frequent spontaneous and controversial public statements by key government officials including the President have not strengthened public trust; instead, they reveal issues of insensitivity and highlight hierarchical power dynamics in policy‐making. In summary, this article identifies five key communication issues in the Merah Putih Cabinet: misaligned government agenda setting, technocratic communication delivered out of context, echo chamber tendencies leading to tone‐deaf messaging, reliance on the magic bullet paradigm viewing the public as passive recipients, and concerns regarding transparency and credibility of officials. Therefore, it is essential for the government to strengthen a national communication strategy that fosters two‐way communication between the state and the public.Kajian ini bertujuan menganalisis keterkaitan antara sistem komunikasi birokrasi, gaya kepemimpinan, dan efektivitas komunikasi politik pemerintah pada tahun pertama Kabinet Merah Putih. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka yang bersumber dari penelitian terdahulu dan laporan lembaga riset nasional dan data resmi pemerintah. Analisis dilakukan secara tematik dan interpretatif dengan membandingkan teori komunikasi organisasi dan teori komunikasi politik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pemerintahan Prabowo–Gibran berhasil mempertahankan stabilitas politik dan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang positif, efektivitas komunikasi antar lembaga dan konsistensi pesan publik masih menjadi tantangan utama. Ketidaksinkronan komunikasi antar Kementerian menunjukkan lemahnya koordinasi horizontal birokrasi. Di sisi lain, dalam pandangan komunikasi politik, banyaknya pernyataan blunder dan spontan yang disampaikan oleh terutama pembantu-pembantu presiden bahkan presiden sendiri alih-alih meninggalkan kesan yang baik bagi publik, sebaliknya, malah menunjukkan ketidakpekaan dan relasi kuasa yang tajam dalam pengambilan kebijakan yang bersifat hirarkis. Sederhananya, jurnal ini merangkum lima poin utama terkait komunikasi politik Kabinet Merah Putih mulai dari agenda setting pemerintah yang kurang tepat, komunikasi teknokratik yang salah konteks, tendensi echo chamber yang menyebabkan tone deaf, magic bullet theory yang melihat masyarakat sebagai pihak yang pasif, dan transparansi serta kredibilitas pejabat yang dipertanyakan. Untuk itu, pemerintah perlu memperkuat strategi komunikasi nasional yang mendorong komunikasi dua arah antara pemerintah dan masyarakat
DIGITAL INKLUSI PEDESAAN: MENJEMBATANI SOLUSI MARGINALISASI INFORMASI DAN LAYANAN ADMINISTRASI: RURAL DIGITAL INCLUSION: BRIDGING SOLUTIONS TO MARGINALIZATION OF INFORMATION AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
Rural digital inclusion is a concept that prioritizes the utilization of information technology transformation from analog to digital systems. It is an innovation that enhances inclusivity to achieve equality in quality of life as well as access to information and administrative services in rural areas. This study aims to examine the factors contributing to the gap, bridge development efforts, and identify the challenges faced in digital development by village governments through e-government in Lembang Bo’ne Buntu Sisong, Makale Selatan District, Tana Toraja Regency. The results show that the digital gap is caused by limited infrastructure, lack of access skills, and unavailability of budget. Digital inclusion initiated by the lembang government serves as a solution to anticipate conditions of information marginalization by developing a village/lembang website that can effectively and efficiently fulfill the community’s right to information and public services. The challenges faced in developing digitalization in the lembang government or e-government include: (1) leadership challenges related to policy support and regulations for the implementation of e-government; (2) cultural challenges among villagers in accepting the transformation of information access and services from analog to digital, where available access has not been used participatively and awareness of its utilization is still low; and (3) governance challenges, as the transformation of information and administrative services in an e-government system requires competence support from village government officials. The findings of this study are expected to provide insights into implementing digital inclusion to minimize the emergence of marginalized groups due to the digital divide.Inklusi Digital pedesaan merupakan konsep yang memprioritaskan pemanfaatan transformasi teknologi informasi dari analog beralih sistem digital. Sebuah inovasi meningkatkan inklusivitas untuk kesetaraan kualitas hidup serta pelayanan informasi dan administrasi di pedesaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor kesenjangan, menjembatani pengembangan, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan pengembangan digital oleh pemerintah desa melalui e-government di Lembang Bo’ne Buntu Sisong Kecamatan Makale Selatan Kabupaten Tana Toraja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesenjangan digital oleh faktor keterbatasan infrastruktur, keterampilan akses, dan ketidaktersediaan anggaran. Digital inkusi oleh pemerintahan lembang menjadi sebuah solusi mengantisipasi kondisi marginalisasi informasi dengan membangun website desa/lembang yang secara efektif dan efisien dapat memenuhi hak masyarakat terhadap informasi dan layanan publik yang efektif dan efisien. Tantangan dihadapi dalam pengembangan digitalisasi pemerintah lembang atau e-government meliputi: meliputi (1) tantangan kepemimpinan yang menghadirkan dukungan kebijakan dan regulasi implementasi e-govenrment; (2) tantangan budaya warga desa dalam menerima transformasi akses informasi dan pelayanan dari analog ke digital, Dimana ketersediaan akses belum dimanfaatkan secara partisipastif dan memunculkan kesadaran pemanfataannya; (3) tantangan tata Kelola dimana transformasi layanan informasi dan administrasi dalam sistem e-goverment meliputi membutuhakn dukungan kompetensi aparatur pemerintah desa. Manfaat penelitian diharapkan memberikan kajian penerapan implementasi digital inklusi untuk meminimalisir terjadinya kelompok marginal akibat kesenjangan digital
PODCAST DENGAN PEMIMPIN INDONESIA IDEAL : SUATU ANALISIS KRITIS TERHADAP PERAN PODCAST SEBAGAI SALURAN KEBEBASAN MENYATAKAN PENDAPAT: PODCAST WITH IDEAL INDONESIAN LEADER: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF PODCAST AS A CHANNEL FOR FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION
This article critically analyzes the role of podcasts as a channel for freedom of expression in shaping the discourse of the ideal Indonesian leader thru Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) based on Fairclough's model. By examining concrete cases such as KPU RI Episode 9: Ideal Leaders in the Eyes of Students (a platform for young formal and intellectual stakeholders), Podcast: Jokowi's Rants and Rocky Gerung's Ideal State Leader Version (comparing official narratives vs. sharp criticism), Episode 31: Putu Yoga: KMHDI Chairman - Ideal Political Party? (non-governmental organization perspective), as well as Applying Leadership Science from Mr. Jonan. Leaders Must Be Visible. The Leader Must Be Seen (visible leadership implementation): Research reveals how narrative framing, satirical humor, ideological rhetoric, and contrasting comparisons are used to construct an ideal leadership image while simultaneously challenging power. The findings indicate that podcasts expand the deliberative space thru long-form dialog and social media integration, enabling social criticism as a control mechanism. For example, discussions by the General Election Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KPU RI) sparked public debate about election integrity, while Rocky Gerung's criticism of Jokowi's "interference" went viral on X and mobilized young opinion. However, this freedom is limited by elite dominance (the majority of hosts are Jakarta-centric), commercialization (sponsors influence framing), algorithmic polarization, and legal repression (the ITE Law threatens independent hosts). The Jonan case underscores the importance of visible and accountable leadership, while Putu Yoga expands the discourse to an ideal Hindu-based political party and democracy. The article concludes that podcasts are an ambivalent channel for freedom of expression: empowering young voices, activists, and intellectuals while also being vulnerable to power manipulation. Its effectiveness depends on digital literacy, editorial independence, and regulatory reform for podcasts to truly become a platform for the people, featuring ideal Indonesian leaders who are ethical, inclusive, and responsive.Artikel ini menganalisis secara kritis peran podcast sebagai saluran kebebasan berekspresi dalam membentuk wacana mengenai sosok pemimpin ideal Indonesia melalui Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) berdasarkan model Fairclough. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa podcast memperluas ruang deliberatif melalui dialog panjang dan integrasi media sosial, sehingga memungkinkan kritik sosial sebagai mekanisme kontrol. Misalnya, diskusi oleh Komisi Pemilihan Umum Republik Indonesia (KPU RI) memicu perdebatan publik tentang integritas pemilu, sementara kritik Rocky Gerung terhadap “campur tangan” Jokowi menjadi viral di X dan menggerakkan opini anak muda. Namun, kebebasan ini dibatasi oleh dominasi elite (mayoritas host berpusat di Jakarta), komersialisasi (sponsor memengaruhi pembingkaian), polarisasi algoritmik, dan represi hukum (UU ITE mengancam host independen). Kasus Jonan menegaskan pentingnya kepemimpinan yang terlihat dan akuntabel, sementara Putu Yoga memperluas wacana menuju partai politik ideal berbasis nilai-nilai Hindu dan demokrasi. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa podcast merupakan saluran kebebasan berekspresi yang ambivalen: memberdayakan suara anak muda, aktivis, dan intelektual, tetapi juga rentan terhadap manipulasi kekuasaan. Efektivitasnya bergantung pada literasi digital, independensi editorial, dan reformasi regulasi agar podcast benar-benar menjadi platform bagi rakyat yang menampilkan pemimpin ideal Indonesia yang etis, inklusif, dan responsif
