CONCEPTUAL REINTERPRETATION OF THE ROLE OF THE SHARIA SUPERVISORY BOARD IN REALIZING COMPLIANCE IN THE ERA OF DIGITAL DISRUPTION
Get PDFDigital transformation has significantly changed the landscape of the Islamic financial industry, presenting new challenges and opportunities for the Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB). This study aims to conceptually reinterpret the role of the SSB in ensuring compliance with sharia principles amidst digital disruption. Using a qualitative literature study approach, this article analyzes findings from various scientific journals, regulations, and related fatwas. The results of the study indicate that the role of the SSB, which has so far been normative and administrative, is not sufficient to address the complexity of digital innovation. Therefore, a new approach is needed that positions the SSB as a strategic actor in technology-based supervision, information system integration, and digital competency development. Synergy between the SSB, regulators, academics, and industry players is key to building an adaptive and responsive sharia compliance system in the digital era.Transformasi digital telah mengubah lanskap industri keuangan syariah secara signifikan, menghadirkan tantangan sekaligus peluang baru bagi Dewan Pengawas Syariah (DPS). Studi ini bertujuan untuk mereinterpretasi secara konseptual peran DPS dalam menjamin kepatuhan terhadap prinsip-prinsip syariah di tengah disrupsi digital. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur kualitatif, artikel ini menganalisis temuan dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah, regulasi, dan fatwa terkait. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa peran DPS yang selama ini bersifat normatif dan administratif belum cukup untuk menjawab kompleksitas inovasi digital. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan pendekatan baru yang menempatkan DPS sebagai aktor strategis dalam pengawasan berbasis teknologi, integrasi sistem informasi, serta pengembangan kompetensi digital. Sinergi antara DPS, regulator, akademisi, dan pelaku industri menjadi kunci dalam membangun sistem kepatuhan syariah yang adaptif dan responsif di era digital
Epistemic Distortion in Qur’anic Interpretation: Hustle Culture and Digital Religious Narratives on Instagram
Get PDFThis study uses qualitative methods, combining textual and visual analyses, to investigate how Qur'anic verses are interpreted, manipulated, and circulated in frenzied cultural narratives on Instagram. This research focuses on the content of three Instagram accounts: @alqurancustomku, @lanternoflightofficial, and @ssheikh00, supported by secondary literature on Islamic epistemology and digital religion. The study finds that Qur’anic interpretations on these platforms often reflect selective reading and cherry-picking of verses that support entrepreneurial and motivational narratives, frequently detaching scriptural meaning from scholarly traditions. Authority over interpretation shifts from ulama to digital influencers, creating a fragmented epistemic environment that privileges virality over exegetical rigor. This research contributes to the growing field of digital religion by articulating how algorithm-driven content production facilitates new forms of textual reception, theological authority, and spiritual branding. It integrates insights from the theory of text reception and epistemic distortion to frame this trend as a reconfiguration of Qur’anic meaning under the pressures of digital capitalism. The findings call for greater literacy in Qur’anic hermeneutics within digital media spaces and encourage religious authorities, educators, and policymakers to develop guidelines for ethical and theologically sound online da'wah practice. This study focuses on a small number of Instagram accounts and does not fully explore platform-based variation (e.g., TikTok, YouTube) or broader demographic responses, such as youth and inter-sectarian interpretations. Fenomena hustle culture yang merupakan budaya kerja berlebihan untuk mencapai kesuksesan, semakin populer di media sosial khususnya Instagram. Para content creator menggunakan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an untuk merefleksikan hustle culture dengan berbagai perspektif. Beberapa di antaranya menggunakan ayat al-Qur’an untuk menampilkan sisi positif hustle culture, sementara yang lain menggunakan ayat al-Qur’an untuk menolak hustle culture karena dianggap bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana ayat-ayat al-Qur’an direfleksikan dalam konteks hustle culture di Instagram, dengan fokus pada bentuk pilihan ayat, pertimbangan makna ayat dan implikasi ayat dalam refleksi hustle culture. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis teks dan visual. Sumber data diperoleh dari unggahan akun Instagram @alqurancustomku, @lanternoflightofficial, dan @ssheikh00. Adapun sumber data sekunder diperoleh dari literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an dalam konteks hustle culture tidak selalu didasarkan oleh kajian tafsir yang mendalam, tetapi juga pada perubahan sosial yang berkembang di masyarakat.

Non-EFL Learners’ Perceived Benefits and Limitations of Exploring Chatbots in Academic Writing Class
Get PDFChatbot integration in Language Education using chatbots shows potential to improve students’ writing skills. This study explores the benefits and limitations of using chatbots in academic writing classes for non-EFL students, specifically Agrotechnology students at Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. This study uses qualitative research data collected through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews over a semester. The observations focused on how students use chatbots to produce academic essays in Academic Writing classes. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with five students. Interview participants were selected based on their relevance to the research scope, ensuring that their responses aligned with the study's objectives while maintaining a focused and manageable range of inquiry. This study concludes that integrating chatbots and manual validation to ensure depth and critical thinking in writing classes using chatbots for non-EFL students is beneficial in developing writing skills that support their foreign language development

DEKONSTRUKSI WAKAF MASJID MELALUI MODEL POAC UNTUK PEMBERDAYAAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT BERBASIS PRODUKTIVITAS
Get PDFMost mosque waqf in Indonesia is utilized for worship purposes, such as the construction of mosques and prayer rooms. However, its role in community economic empowerment remains limited. This study aims to develop a productive waqf management model based on the POAC framework (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) as an effort to reconstruct the traditional functions of mosque waqf. The research adopts a case study approach at Masjid Ali-Imron in Kartasura, using descriptive qualitative methods. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The findings indicate that the POAC approach is effective in designing strategies for utilizing waqf assets, such as building kiosks and providing skills training, to improve community welfare. Implementing this model requires collaboration with Sharia institutions and support from a professional and accountable management system. This study provides practical contributions to waqf managers in enhancing the economic sustainability of the Muslim community through the optimization of productive waqf.

ABSTRACT
This literature review aims to analyze the role of the Islamic financial literacy index in promoting financial inclusion. Islamic financial literacy serves as a key indicator in assessing public understanding, awareness, and behavior regarding Sharia-compliant financial products and services. By systematically examining academic literature, institutional reports, and empirical studies, this article explores the correlation between the level of Islamic financial literacy and the achievement of effective, inclusive, and sustainable financial inclusion. The findings indicate that low levels of Islamic financial literacy represent a significant barrier to expanding access to Islamic finance, particularly among low-income communities and rural areas. Conversely, strengthening the Islamic financial literacy index through education, digitalization, and supportive regulations can enhance public participation in the Islamic financial ecosystem. This article recommends the development of a holistic national strategy to improve Islamic financial literacy as a means to reinforce financial inclusion and contribute to equitable economic development.
Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran indeks literasi keuangan syariah dalam mendorong inklusi keuangan di masyarakat. Literasi keuangan syariah menjadi indikator penting dalam mengukur pemahaman, kesadaran, dan perilaku masyarakat terhadap produk dan layanan keuangan yang berbasis syariah. Melalui telaah sistematis terhadap berbagai literatur akademik, laporan lembaga keuangan, dan studi empiris, artikel ini mengidentifikasi keterkaitan antara tingkat literasi keuangan syariah dengan pencapaian inklusi keuangan yang efektif, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya literasi keuangan syariah merupakan salah satu hambatan utama dalam perluasan akses keuangan syariah, terutama di kalangan masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah dan wilayah pedesaan. Di sisi lain, penguatan indeks literasi keuangan syariah melalui edukasi, digitalisasi, dan regulasi yang mendukung dapat meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam ekosistem keuangan syariah. Artikel ini merekomendasikan perlunya strategi nasional yang holistik dalam meningkatkan literasi keuangan syariah guna memperkuat inklusi keuangan sebagai bagian dari pembangunan ekonomi berkeadilan

Get PDFAt the modern Islamic boarding school Al-Kautsar Pekan Baru there are programs that help in developing Arabic for students. With these programs, the researcher hypothesizes that there is a positive role of the Arabic language environment in improving Arabic speaking skills. The question arises, does the Arabic language environment really play a big role in improving Arabic speaking proficiency? The aim of this research is to find out what the Arabic language environment is like at the Al-Kautsar modern Islamic boarding school and to find out the role of the environment in improving Arabic speaking skills for MTs students at the Al-Kautsar modern Islamic boarding school. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The way to analyze data is by reducing data, displaying data, and proving data. The research conclusion is that the Arabic language environment at the Al-Kautsar Modern Islamic Boarding School has important factors such as a combination of formal and informal Arabic language learning, Arabic language teachers and the Arabic language section of the student organization, continuous Arabic language activities, and an assertive language system that creates an environment which supports the absorption of Arabic. This suggests an organized and disciplined environment to achieve language application, support, and repeated language learning. They feel great benefits from this environment which makes them confident in speaking Arabic. So, the Arabic language environment has a big role in the success of Arabic language learning at the modern Islamic boarding school Al-Kautsar Pekan Baru
Transformasi Gramatikal pada Penerjemahan Lirik Lagu Satu Bulan ke dalam Bahasa Arab
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis transformasi gramatikal dalam penerjemahan lirik lagu Satu Bulan ke dalam bahasa Arab. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan data utama berupa lirik asli dalam bahasa Indonesia dan hasil terjemahannya dalam bahasa Arab, yang diperoleh dari saluran YouTube 'Kampung Arab Music'. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik dokumentasi dengan cara membandingkan kedua teks guna mengidentifikasi perubahan struktur gramatikal yang terjadi selama proses penerjemahan. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif, yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi gramatikal dalam penerjemahan lirik lagu Satu Bulan mencakup dua bentuk utama, yaitu penambahan dan pengurangan. Penambahan terjadi untuk menyesuaikan struktur bahasa Arab atau memperjelas makna, sedangkan pengurangan dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keterbacaan dan menyesuaikan pola ekspresi bahasa Arab. Kesimpulannya, penerjemahan tidak hanya mengalihkan bahasa, tetapi juga menyesuaikan struktur gramatikal agar teks tetap alami dan sesuai dengan sistem linguistik bahasa sasaran
ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN DAN PEMBELAJARAN MATAN AL-JURUMIYAH PADA PONDOK PESANTREN
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze students' understanding of the matan al-jurumiyah text, which is a foundational text in the study of Arabic grammar (nahwu) at MTs. The research employs a qualitative approach and was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al Ikhlas Addary DDI Takkalasi. Data collection methods included observations, interviews with students and educators, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that some students can explain, define, and apply their understanding of the matan al-jurumiyah text, while others can only understand it without being able to apply it. The main supporting factor is the high motivation to learn, while the main inhibiting factor is a lack of enthusiasm among students. The study concludes that motivation and support are crucial in the learning process of Arabic grammar. The implications of this research suggest that to improve students' understanding, more effective teaching strategies and greater support from educators are necessary.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman peserta didik terhadap kitab matan al-jurumiyah yang merupakan pondasi penting dalam pembelajaran ilmu nahwu di MTs. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Al Ikhlas Addary DDI Takkalasi. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dengan peserta didik dan tenaga pendidik, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian peserta didik mampu menjelaskan, mendefinisikan, dan mengaplikasikan pemahaman mereka terhadap kitab matan al-jurumiyah, sementara sebagian lainnya hanya mampu memahami tanpa dapat mengaplikasikan. Faktor pendukung utama adalah semangat tinggi dalam menuntut ilmu, sedangkan faktor penghambat adalah kurangnya semangat belajar di kalangan peserta didik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya motivasi dan dukungan dalam pembelajaran ilmu nahwu. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik, diperlukan strategi pengajaran yang lebih efektif serta dukungan yang lebih besar dari tenaga pendidik
The Evolution of Fasakh in Indonesia and Malaysia: A Legal Comparative Bibliometric Review
Get PDFFasakh, a legal mechanism in Islamic family law, allows a wife to seek marriage annulment under specific conditions, differing from talaq, which is initiated by the husband. While both Indonesia and Malaysia recognize fasakh, their legal frameworks differ; Indonesia regulates it under the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) with significant influence from customary law (adat), whereas Malaysia enforces it through the Islamic Family Law Enactment, varying across states. This study aims to compare the legal, procedural, and socio-cultural dimensions of fasakh in both countries, employing comparative legal analysis through doctrinal research and bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer to map the evolution of fasakh-related studies from 2018 to 2024. The findings reveal that courts in both jurisdictions acknowledge domestic violence, financial neglect, religious conversion, contagious diseases, and fraud as primary reasons for fasakh, with an increasing recognition of psychological abuse and economic vulnerability as legitimate grounds. This study contributes to comparative Islamic legal scholarship by systematically analyzing fasakh across jurisdictions and introducing bibliometric analysis to trace its scholarly development, identifying emerging trends such as identity fraud, psychological abuse, and digital documentation in marital disputes. Additionally, the study underscores the role of ijtihad in expanding the interpretation of fasakh, aligning it with contemporary maqasid al-shariah (objectives of Islamic law) to ensure justice. Theoretically, the findings highlight the adaptability of Islamic jurisprudence in modern legal contexts, while practically, they provide insights for legal practitioners, policymakers, and religious authorities to enhance judicial consistency and improve access to legal aid for women seeking annulment. This study reinforces the necessity of balancing Islamic legal principles with evolving human rights perspectives, ensuring fasakh remains a protective mechanism within contemporary Muslim societies
