Potensi Guru dan Tenaga Kesehatan sebagai Pelaksana Stimulasi Koordinasi Visual Motorik bagi Anak di Daerah Endemik Gaki
POTENSI GURU DAN TENAGA KESEHATAN SEBAGAI PELAKSANA STIMULASI KOORDINASI VISUAL MOTORIK BAGI ANAK DI DAERAH ENDEMIK GAKI Feasibility of Teachers and Health Worker to Implement Stimulation of Visual Motor Integration for Children in Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) Area ABSTRACT Background. One of the main characteristics of IDD is cognitive developmental problems, including visual perceptual motor coordination impairment which considered as risk factor for learning disabilities. It also causes problems in reading, math, and writing. Stimulation of visual motor integration (VMI) conducted by psychologist had been proved to improve cognitive development in children with learning problems. Objective. The aim of this research is to explore the feasibility of teachers and health worker to implement the VMI stimulation interventions in primary health care, elementary schools, and school for difable children. Method. This was a qualitative research conducted in Srumbung, Magelang which was an IDD endemic area. Focus group discussion conducted with group comprised of seven grade, one elementary school teacher, and a teacher from school for difable children. Another group consisted of six health workers whose has duty in school health program at Srumbung health center. All the teachers and health workers had received training for trainer of VMI stimulation intervention previously. Result. Both the teacher and health worker perceived the VMI stimulation program as valuable for helping children with learning problems. Teacher from school for difable children stated that the intervention was feasible to be applied in the context of learning process in her school. Several participants both from teacher and health worker stated that it is feasible for the VMI stimulation intervention to be applied in the classroom setting for children with learning problems, and in health center setting if there is a growth and development section. Others stated that intervention might be done by teacher or health worker provided there will be more training or administration sheet embedded in the modules. Conclusion. All participants felt that the program was valuable, however, administration sheet embedded in the modules, more training, availability of growth and development section in health care center is needed to apply the intervention in health care and classroom setting. The intervention was feasible to be applied in the learning process at the school for difable children and application of the modul in preschool setting was suggested. Karakteristik gangguan akibat kekurangan iodium (GAKI) adalah gangguan perkembangan kognitif, termasuk hambatan koordinasi visual perseptual motorik. Hambatan koordinasi visual motorik (KVM) pada anak merupakan faktor risiko timbulnya kesulitan belajar, keterlambatan membaca, berhitung, dan menulis. Stimulasi KVM oleh psikolog terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pada anak awal Sekolah Dasar (SD) dengan hambatan belajar. Tujuan. Penelitian bertujuan menggali potensi guru SD dan tenaga kesehatan untuk melaksanakan dan menerapkan intervensi stimulasi KVM di tingkat pelayanan kesehatan dasar, SD, dan sekolah luar biasa (SLB). Metode. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Srumbung Kabupaten Magelang yang merupakan daerah endemik GAKI. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dilakukan pada delapan orang guru kelas satu SD dan satu perwakilan guru SLB Kecamatan Srumbung. Kelompok tenaga kesehatan terdiri atas enam orang tenaga kesehatan tim UKS Puskesmas Srumbung. Guru dan tenaga kesehatan tersebut sebelumnya telah mengikuti pelatihan pelaksana intervensi stimulasi KVM. Hasil. Guru dan tenaga kesehatan merasa bahwa modul dan pelatihan bermanfaat membantu anak dengan kesulitan belajar. Guru SLB merasa intervensi dapat langsung diterapkan dalam konteks pembelajaran di SLB. Sebagian guru dan tenaga kesehatan merasa intervensi dapat diterapkan di kelas pada anak dengan masalah belajar, atau di puskesmas jika ada bagian tumbuh kembang, sebagian lainnya merasa perlu pelatihan tambahan dan lembar administrasi tambahan untuk melaksanakan intervensi. Kesimpulan. Guru dan tenaga kesehatan merasa bahwa pelatihan bermanfaat, tetapi penyediaan lembar administrasi, pendalaman materi, ketersediaan bagian tumbuh kembang di puskesmas diperlukan untuk menerapkan intervensi. Guru SLB merasa intervensi dapat langsung diterapkan dalam konteks pembelajaran SLB dan penerapan penggunaan modul di tingkat pra sekolah disarankan.Kata kunci: anak sekolah dasar, daerah endemik GAKI, kemampuan kognitif, koordinasi visual motori
Kandungan Komponen Fenolat, Kadar Fenolat Total, dan Aktivitas Antioksidan Madu dari Beberapa Daerah di Jawa dan Sumatera
KANDUNGAN KOMPONEN FENOLAT, KADAR FENOLAT TOTAL, DAN AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN MADU DARI BEBERAPA DAERAH DI JAWA DAN SUMATERA Study of Phenolic Compounts, Total Phenolic, and Antioxidant Activities of Monofloral Honeys from Some Areas in Java and Sumatera ABSTRACT Background. Many diseases resulted from degenerative processess which can be inhibited by antioxidant systems. Honey is one of food with antioxidant activity. Objective. This study aims to investigate antioxidant activities of several types of monofloral honey from Java and Sumatera. Method. A laboratory experimental study, conducted on 4 types of floral honeys: coffee, palm trees, cottonwoods and rambutan. Determination of phenolic compounds was performed with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and measurement of total phenolic contents performed with Folin-Ciocalteu’s reagent. Antioxidant activity was conducted in two ways, those were by 2.2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrasyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging method and linoleic acid peroxidation method using butylated hydroxytoluene(BHT) as a standard. Data were analyzed using Analysis of varian (Anova) and continued with Duncan’s multiple range test (DMRT). Result. Four types of Javanese and Sumateranese honeys contained some phenolic compounds. Those are chlorogenic acid, cafeic acid, ρ-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, pinobanksin, quercetin, luteolin, pinocembrin and chrysin while the dominant fenolic compound varies between honeys. Total phenolic contents from four types of honey were between 2.000 to 4.400 ppm. The highest phenolic content was in honey from cottonwoods, but the best antioxidant activity was found in honey from coffee. Antioxidant activities were found in honey which come from the following order: coffee, cottonwoods, palm trees, and rambutan honey. Antioxidant activities did not correlated with total phenolic content. Conclusion. Javanese and Sumateranese honey contained nine active substances that varies in total phenolic contents. The best antioxidant activity was found in coffee honey, and this activity did not correlated with its total phenolic contents. Keywords: antioxidant, monofloral honey, phenolic ABSTRAK Latar Belakang. Banyak penyakit yang dapat timbul karena proses degeneratif yang dapat diperlambat dengan adanya sistem antioksidan. Madu merupakan salah satu bahan pangan yang diketahui memiliki aktivitas antioksidan. Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan berbagai jenis madu dari beberapa daerah di Jawa dan Sumatera. Metode. Penelitian laboratorium terhadap empat jenis madu yaitu madu bunga kopi, sawit, randu dan rambutan. Penentuan kandungan komponen fenolat dilakukan dengan High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) dan pengukuran kadar fenolat total dilakukan dengan reagen folin-ciocalteu. Aktivitas antioksidan diukur berdasarkan peredaman radikal bebas 2.2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) dan retensi dalam sistem asam linoleat dengan standar butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT). Analisis statistik dilakukan dengan Analysis of varian (Anova) dilanjutkan Duncan’s multiple range test (DMRT). Korelasi antar analisis dilakukan dengan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil. Keempat jenis madu yang diteliti mempunyai kandungan fenolat berupa asam klorogenat, asam kafeat, asam ρ-koumarat, asam ferulat, pinobanksin, quercetin, luteolin, pinocembrin dan chrysin. Komponen fenolat dominan untuk tiap madu bervariasi tergantung jenis madunya. Kadar fenolat total pada keempat jenis madu antara 2.000 sampai 4.400 ppm. Kandungan fenolat total paling tinggi terdapat pada madu randu, namun aktivitas antioksidan paling tinggi ditunjukkan oleh madu kopi. Urutan besarnya aktivitas antioksidan berturut-turut adalah madu kopi, madu randu, madu sawit, dan madu rambutan. Aktivitas antioksidan yang tinggi tidak berbanding lurus dengan kandungan fenolat totalnya. Kesimpulan. Madu dari beberapa daerah di Jawa dan Sumatera mengandung sembilan senyawa aktif, dengan kadar fenolat yang bervariasi. Aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi terdapat pada madu bunga kopi dan aktivitas ini tidak berkorelasi dengan kandungan fenolat totalnya.Kata kunci: antioksidan, fenolat, madu monoflor
Suplementasi Besi Mampu Memperbaiki Kadar Hormon TSH Anak Sekolah di Daerah Endemik GAKI
ABSTRACT Multiple nutritional and environmental influences contribute to the prevalence and severity of IDDs in iodine deficient areas, including iron. In many developing countries, children are at high risk of both goiter and iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency adversely affects thyroid metabolism and may reduce the efficacy of iodized salt. The aim of this study was to investigate whether iron supplementation can improve thyrothrophin hormone in school children in iodine deficient areas. A trial of iron supplementation was carried out in an area of endemic goiter in Kertek Wonosobo (n = 35), another group given placebo (n = 35). At baseline, anthropometri, TSH, ferritin, urinary iodine excretion and level of iodized salt were measured. After 13 weeks supplementation, the same data collecting was conducted. Supplement’s compliance during the study reached 100%. Two subject were excluded from from the analysis because they have extreme bio chemical data than the overall average. Statistical test showed no differences in age and gender proportion between groups. There were no significant difference in nutritional status, level of EIU, and level of iodine in salt between groups after the intervention, but there was a significant increase in ferritin level in the iron group (31.0 vs 44.8 μg/l, p<0.05). There were a significant difference in protein and iron intake, but no significant different in energy intake.These two group did not differ in TSH level change. After taking into account the modification variable effect of adequate protein > 70% RDA, the effect of iron supplementation was proved to be effective in changing TSH level (p <0.05). Our result indicate that increase in iron status can improve TSH hormone after considering adequate protein intake (RDA). Keywords : IDD, iron supplementation, thyroid function. ABSTRAK Di daerah yang kekurangan iodium, pengaruh gizi dan lingkungan berkontribusi pada prevalensi dan tingkat keparahan GAKI, termasuk defisiensi mikronutrien lain diantaranya zat besi. Di negara berkembang, banyak anak-anak menderita GAKI dan defisiensi besi secara bersamaan. Defisiensi besi dapat mengganggu metabolisme tiroid dan mengurangi efektivitas garam beriodum. Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari pengaruh suplementasi besi dosis 60 mg/minggu terhadap hormon tiroid pada anak sekolah di daerah endemik GAKI. Suplementasi besi diberikan pada anak sekolah dasar umur 9-12 tahun di daerah dengan kasus kretin, di Kertek Wonosobo (n = 35) dan kelompok lainnya mendapatkan plasebo (n = 35). Awal penelitian dilakukan pengukuran antropometri, kadar TSH, ferritin, UIE dan kadar garam. Setelah 13 minggu suplementasi dilakukan pengukuran yang sama. Tingkat kepatuhan subyek mengonsumsi bahan intervensi 100%, tetapi 2 orang dikeluarkan dari analisis karena data biokimia yang ekstrim dibandingkan rerata keseluruhan. Umur dan jenis kelamin subyek tidak berbeda secara statistik. Setelah suplementasi, status gizi, kadar UIE dan kadar iodium dalam garam tidak berbeda nyata, tetapi ada peningkatan kadar ferritin yang signifikan pada kelompok Fe (31.0 menjadi 44.8 μg/l, p <0.05). Ada perbedaan asupan protein dan zat besi yang signifikan (p <0.05) antara kelompok Fe dan plasebo, tetapi tidak pada asupan energi. Tidak ada perbedaan perubahan kadar TSH yang signifikan antara kelompok Fe dan plasebo. Setelah memperhitungkan efek modifikasi (kecukupan protein >70% AKG), terbukti suplementasi besi berpengaruh terhadap perubahan TSH (p <0.05). Peningkatan status besi dapat memperbaiki hormon TSH setelah memperhitungkan tingkat kecukupan protein (AKG). Kata kunci: GAKI, suplementasi besi, fungsi tiroid
Perkiraan Asupan Iodium dan Natrium Menggunakan Urin 24 Jam pada Anak dan Dewasa
ABSTRACT Basic health research (Riskesdas) 2007 found high rate of hypertension (31.7%). The question is, whether iodine fortification program in the salt still relevant because salt intake correlated with hypertension. This study is a cross sectional, assessing the levels of iodine and sodium in urine with estimation of iodine and sodium intake. This was a cross sectional study. Sample of this study were 99 families, including father, mother, and 6-12 years children. The study was conducted in three villages in Getasan Sub-district, Semarang District. Variables collected included body height and weight, iodine content of household salt, 24 hours urine volume, urine iodine and urine sodium excretion. Intake of iodine and sodium estimated with urinary iodine and sodium excretion values and urine volume. Type of salt consumed (97%) was brick form, the average of iodine content in salt was 20.4 ppm potassium iodate and consumption of salt was 8.0 ± 4.7 grams per day. Median and mean urine volume was 1500 (1523 mL ± 623) mL. The median urinary iodine excretion (EIU) is 93 (105 ± 61) μg/L. Proportion of subjects with < 100 μg/L UIE was 55.6% and ≥ 300 μg/L UIE was 1%. Median and mean urinary sodium excretion (USE) was 2588 mg/L (2732 ± 986) mg/L. The proportion of USE ≥ 2300 mg/L was 62%. Frequency of iodine and sodium food source consumption: 47.5% of subjects eating instant noodles and snacks 1-2 times a week, 98% consume MSG/ketchup/sauce ≥ 1 times a day. Frequency of salty foods consumption: 53.9% of subjects consumed 1-2 times a week and 26.9% consumed bread/biscuit/cake 1-2 times a week. Median and mean intake of iodine of subject (father, mother, child) was 113 ug/L and 126 ± 73 mg/L. Median and mean sodium intake were 3131 mg/L and 3306 ± 1193 mg/L. In sum, salt is a major source of iodine and sodium intakes although the level of iodine was considered low compared to the national standard of industry. The study location is a mild iodine deficiency area but considerably high intake of sodium based on the analysis of a 24 hour urine collection. Pertanyaannya, masih relevankah program fortifikasi iodium dalam garam karena konsumsi garam berkorelasi dengan hipertensi. Tujuan penelitian ini menilai kadar iodium urin dan natrium urin serta perkiraan asupan natrium dan iodium. Disain studi potong lintang dengan sampel keluarga: bapak, ibu, anak 6-12 tahun. Lokasi di tiga desa di Kecamatan Getasan, Kabupaten Semarang. Sebanyak 99 keluarga menjadi sampel penelitian. Variabel dikumpulkan mencakup berat dan tinggi badan, kadar iodium garam, volume urin 24 jam, kadar iodium urin dan natrium urin. Perkiraan asupan iodium dan natrium menggunakan nilai iodium dan natrium urin dan volume urin. Jenis garam yang dikonsumsi (97%) bentuk bata, rerata kadar iodium 20.4 ppm dan konsumsi garam 8.0 ± 4.7 gram per orang per hari. Median dan rerata volume urin 1500 mL dan 1523 ± 623 mL. Median dan rerata ekskresi iodium urin (EIU) 93 dan 105 ± 61 μg/L. Proporsi EIU subyek < 100 μg/L 55.6% dan EIU ≥ 300 μg/L 1%. Median dan rerata ekskresi natrium urin (ENU) 2588 mg/L (ppm) dan 2732 ± 986 mg/L. Proporsi ENU ≥ 2300 mg/L 62%. Frekuensi konsumsi sumber iodium dan natrium: 47.5% subyek mengonsumsi mi instan dan snack 1-2 kali seminggu, 98% mengonsumsi vetsin/kecap/saus ≥ 1 kali sehari. Frekuensi makan makanan asin: 53.9% subyek mengonsumsi 1-2 kali seminggu dan 26.9% mengonsumsi roti/biskuit/cake 1-2 kali seminggu. Median dan rerata asupan iodium (bapak, ibu, anak) 113 μg/L dan 126 ± 73 μg/L. Median dan rerata asupan natrium (bapak, ibu, anak) 3131 mg/L dan 3306 ± 1193 mg/L. Ringkasnya, garam merupakan sumber utama asupan iodium dan natrium walaupun kadar iodium dalam garam cukup rendah dibanding standar nasional industri. Lokasi penelitian merupakan daerah kekurangan iodium ringan namun tinggi asupan natrium berdasarkan analisis dari urin 24 jam. Kata kunci: dewasa, anak, iodium, natrium, urin 24 jam
Prevalensi dan jenis telur cacing soil transmitted helmints (STH) pada sayuran kemangi pedagang ikan bakar di Kota Palu
Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) adalah cacing golongan nematoda yang memerlukan tanah untuk perkembangan bentuk infektifnya. Di Indonesia golongan cacing yang penting dan menyebabkan masalah kesehatan masyarakat adalah Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, dan cacing tambang yaitu :Necator americanus dan Ancylostoma duodenale. Masalah kesehatan yang ditimbulkan akibat kecacingan adalah anemia, obstruksi saluran empedu, radang pankreas, usus buntu, alergi, dan diare, penurunan fungsi kognitif (kecerdasan), kurang gizi, gangguan pertumbuhan, dan radang paru-paru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis telur cacing STH yang ditemukan pada sayur kemangi pada pedagang ikan bakar di Kota Palu. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif observational dengan pendekatan cross sectional study, pemeriksaan sampel kemangi dengan metode pengendapan NaOH. Sebanyak 93 sampel daun kemangi kesimpulan ditemukan telur cacing sebesar 39,8%.Spesies telur cacing STH yang ditemukan yaitu Ascaris lumricoides 70,2%, Hookworm 16,2%, campuran Ascaris lumricoides dan Hookworm 10,8 %, Ascaris lumricoides dan Trichuris trichiura 2%. Perlu adanya pengawasan dan penyuluhan kepada pedagang warung makan mengenai kontaminasi telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helmints yang menyajikan sayuran mentah sebagai lalapan
NILAI BATAS DAN INDIKATOR OBESITAS TERHADAP TERJADINYA DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2
ABSTRACTObesity is a risk factor of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), but the obesity indicator having most clear association still varies. The purpose of the study was to determine cut-off point of three different indicators of obesity body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC) and waist-height ratio (WHtR) and compare the three indicators of obesity in detecting of T2DM. The study was a secondary data analysis using data of baseline cohort study of non communicable desease. Total sample for the analysis was 1415 adult subjects. Multiple logistic regression and Receiving Operating Characteristic (ROC) methods implied to analyze the assosiation. The results showed that cut - off point and strength of the relationship using BMI was more than 26 kg/m2 (Se 0.65, Sp 0.64 ; Area Under the Curve (AUC) 0.67 ), OR 2.45 ( 95% CI 1.66 - 3.62 ), WC men and women was more than 81 cm ( Se 0.63 ; Sp 0.63 ; AUC 0.68 ), OR 2.43 ( 95% CI 1.65 - 3.57 ), and WHtR was more than 0.53 ( Se 0.70 ; Sp 0.60; AUC 0.69 ,) OR 2.68 ( 95% CI 1.79 - 4.01 ). The conclusion of this study is that the strength of assosiation among the three indicators of obesity and the type 2 diabetes is similar after controlled by age, family history, hypertension and physical activity.Keywords : type 2 diabetes mellitus, receiving operating characteristic, indicators of obesity, area under the curveABSTRAKBerbagai penelitian telah membuktikan obesitas sebagai salah satu faktor risiko terjadinya Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 (DMT2), namun demikian hasilnya masih bervariasi. Tujuan penelitian adalah menentukan cut-off point tiga indikator obesitas indeks massa tubuh (IMT), lingkar perut (LP) dan rasio lingkar perut-tinggi badan (LP/TB) serta membandingkan dari ketiga indikator obesitas dalam mendeteksi terjadinya DMT2. Desain penelitian potong lintang menggunakan data sekunder 1415 sampel dewasa dari baseline studi kohort Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM). Analisis menggunakan regresi logistik ganda dan metode Receiving Operating Characteristic (ROC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai cut-off point dan kekuatan hubungan menggunakan indikator obesitas umum IMT ≥ 26 kg/m2 (Se 0,65; Sp 0,64; AUC 0,67), OR 2,45 (95% CI 1,66-3,62), LP laki-laki dan perempuan ≥ 81 cm (Se 0,63; Sp 0,63; AUC 0,68), OR 2,43 (95% CI 1,65-3,57), dan LP/TB ≥ 0,53 (Se 0,70; Sp 0,60; AUC 0,69) OR 2,68 (95% CI 1,79-4,01). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa kekuatan hubungan ketiga indikator obesitas terhadap terjadinya DMT2, tidak jauh berbeda setelah dikontrol umur, riwayat keluarga, hipertensi dan aktivitas fisik. GAMBARAN PENYEBAB KEMATIAN DI KABUPATEN GOWA PROVINSI SULAWESI SELATAN TAHUN 2011 (Description of Causes of Death in Gowa District South Sulawesi Province in 2011)
Background: Research of mortality was essential to provide basic information on the status of population health. Indonesia does not have a standart role for recording and reporting cause of death for every case that occurs in hospital or at home. Objective: determinan cause of death in MCCD in Gowa regency in 2011. Methods: Training and socialitation to medical doctors in every hospital how to fill the Information and Cause of Death Form ICD-10. The source information to fill MCCD was medical record and autopsi verbal questionnaire. Autopsi verbal was collected by nurse and paramedics then the doctors was resumed and cause of death code in MCCD. The analyses data was underlying causes of death based on ICD 10. Results: There are 2.813 mortality in Gowa regency in 2011 year. The place of mortality most at home (87,6%) and 12,4% only in health facility. The mortality was rised by increasing of age. The most of mortality by age group is + 65 years (47,2%). The main of base on 6 groups cause of death in Gowa regency is non communicable deseases (54,1%). There are transition of epidemiology cause of death in Gowa regency from communicable disease to non communicable disease. The main casue of death is stroke (13,6%). Conclusions: Recording and reporting system on UCoD in Gowa regency is developed but not optimal, because the result was still underestimate of mortality rate. The most mortality by sex is man and by place of death is at home. The main cause of death in Gowa regency is stroke. Recommendations: need to increase non-communicable disease control programs, especially stroke to reduce deaths from stroke
The Availability and Eligibility of Drug Warehouse at Health Centre Based on Geography and Topography in Indonesia (Rifaskes Data 2011)
ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Gudang obat Puskesmas merupakan salah satu sarana pelayanan kefarmasian yang perlu diperhatikan dalam upaya penyimpanan obat untuk menjamin mutu obat. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ketersediaan dan kelayakan gudang obat Puskesmas di Indonesia, berdasarkan lokasi puskesmas secara geografi dan topografi. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan analisis lanjut data sekunder Riset Fasilitas Kesehatan (Rifaskes) tahun 2011 yang dilaksanakan di seluruh Puskesmas di 33 Propinsi di Indonesia. Hasil: Ketersediaan gudang obat pada Puskesmas di Indonesia berdasarkan geografi dan topografi sudah diatas 90%, kecuali Puskesmas pada daerah sangat terpencil (89,7%). Komponen fasilitas gudang obat di Indonesia, yang paling tinggi ketersediaannya adalah fasilitas pencatatan dan penataan obat yaitu catatan keluar masuk obat tahun 2010, dan paling rendah adalah fasilitas pendukung berupa lemari narkotika/psikotropik. Ketersediaan sarana tersebut semakin rendah pada daerah terpencil, perbatasan dan kepulauan. Kelayakan gudang obat Puskesmas di Indonesia, menunjukkan sebagian besar dalam kategori layak, dan proporsinya semakin rendah pada daerah terpencil, perbatasan dan kepulauan. Hasil uji statistik (Mann Whitney dan korelasi Spearman) menunjukkan, kelayakan gudang obat berhubungan signifikan dengan geografi dan topografi kepulauan dan keterpencilan. Kesimpulan: Ketersediaan dan kelayakan gudang obat Puskesmas di Indonesia, sebagian besar sudah tersedia dalam kategori layak, dan proporsinya semakin rendah pada daerah terpencil, perbatasan dan kepulauan. Saran: Pemerintah Daerah dan Pusat wajib untuk meningkatkan sarana dan prasarana gudang obat melalui peningkatan anggaran kesehatan, untuk menjamin penyimpanan obat yang tepat dan sesuai dengan standar.Kata kunci: gudang obat, ketersediaan, kelayakan, geografi dan topografiABSTRACTBackground: Drug warehouse at health centres is one of pharmacy service that should be paid attention to store medication and ensure the quality. The study aimed to analyze the availability and eligibility of drug warehouse at health centres in Indonesia based on geographic location and topography of the health centers. Methods:It is a further analysis on secondary data from Health Facility Research year 2011 which conducted in 33 provinces of Indonesia. Results: There were more than 90% of health centres available drug warehouses in Indonesia based on the geography and topography conditions, except in very remote area just 89.7%. The highest component of warehouse facilities on reporting and drugs storage facilities were logistick and distribution in 2010, meanwhile the lowest was supporting facilities as narcotics/psychotropic cabinet. The availability of that facilities is lower in remote, borderline and islands area. The eligibility of warehouse at health centers in Indonesia showed the majority were classified as eligible but in the remote, bordeline and islands areas are lower. The statistical analysis (Mann Whitney and Spearman correlation) were significant associations between eligibility warehouse by geographic and topographic of island and remote areas. Conclusion: The availability and eligibility of warehouse at health center in Indonesia the majority were classified as eligible but in the remote, bordeline and islands areas are lower. Recommendation: Central and local governments should assure increase facilities and infrastructure of drug warehouses by increasing health budget to ensure appropriate and standardized drug storages.Key words: drug warehouse, availability, eligibility, geography and topograph
