    UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT BUAH KABAU (Archidendron bubalinum) TERHADAP Staphylococcus aureus

    The kabau plant (Archidendron bubalinum) is an endemic plant of Indonesia, especially on the island of Sumatra, with secondary metabolite content in the form of flavonoids, tannins, saponins and steroids which have antimicrobial activity. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of kabau fruit peels (Archidendron bubalinum) against Staphylococcus aureus and to determine the optimum percentage of extract in inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus with percentages 1%, 2.5%, 5% and 10%. The antibacterial activity of kabau fruit peels extract was tested by the well diffusion method using Nutrient Agar (NA) media. The results showed that ethanol extract of kabau fruit peels with a percentage of 10% was the optimum percentage in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus with an inhibition zone diameter of 10.59 mm. From the data, it can be concluded that the extract of kabau fruit peels has the potential as an antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus with a sensitive inhibitory category

    ANTIDIABETIC POTENTIAL OF SOLID LIPID NANOPARTICLES (SLNS) FROM KABAU SEED (ARCHIDENDRON BUBALINUM (JACK) I.C. NIELSEN) EXTRACT COATED WITH TRIMYRISTIN

    Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a global health problem that continues to increase. One alternative approach in managing diabetes is using natural materials with antihyperglycemic activity. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) containing Kabau seed extract (Archidendron bubalinum (Jack) I.C. Nielsen) coated with trimyristin in reducing blood glucose levels in hyperglycemic rats. Extraction was carried out by maceration using 96% ethanol, while SLN was synthesized by high-speed homogenization and ultrasonication methods. Particle size analysis showed an average diameter of 262.61 nm with a polydispersity index (PDI) of 0.144, indicating a homogeneous formulation. Phytochemical testing showed that Kabau seed extract contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins contributing to antihyperglycemic activity. In vivo tests on Mus musculus showed that 20 % concentration of Kabau SLN reduced blood glucose levels by up to 97 mg/dL, approaching the effectiveness of metformin (104 mg/dL). Statistical analysis of ANOVA and BNT test showed significant differences between treatments. These results indicate that Kabau SLN has the potential as a candidate for phytopharmaceuticals in managing type 2 diabetes mellitus.     PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN POWER POINT DENGAN ISPRING SUITE 9 PADA MATERI LARUTAN PENYANGGA DI SMAN 8 KOTA BENGKULU

    This study aims to test the feasibility of the developed learning media and determine student responses using the ADDIE development model. The data collection instruments used were in the form of interviews with chemistry teachers, validation sheets and student response questionnaires.  The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 08 Bengkulu City to 30 students of class XI IPA 4. From the research results obtained, the feasibility level of Learning Media in the media aspect is 95.32% while the material aspect is 82.5%. The average percentage of the feasibility level of the Learning Media developed is 89.25%. Based on the results of validation by the Learning Media validator, the developed media is very valid, and based on the results of product trials, the student responses get a percentage of 88.85% which is in the very good category. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan menggunakan model   pengembangan   ADDIE. Instrumen   Pengambilan   data   yang   digunakan   berupa wawancara kepada guru kimia, lembar validasi dan angket respon siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 08 Kota Bengkulu dengan terhadap 30 siswa kelas XI IPA 4. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran pada aspek media yaitu 95,32% sedangkan dari aspek materi yaitu 82,5%. Tingkat kelayakan Media Pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yaitu 89,25%, masuk ke dalam kategori sangat valid. Respon peserta didik terhadap hasil uji coba produk di kelas memperoleh persentase 88,85% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Media Pembelajaran Power Point dengan Ispring Suite 9 pada materi larutan penyangga yang telah dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dan layak diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran

    The development of reading ability test instruments for elementary school students is crucial in efforts to strengthen students' reading literacy skills to be used as a foundation for successful lifelong learning as, emphasized in the Merdeka Belajar policy. This study aims to determine the procedure for developing reading ability test instruments containing AKM for elementary school students. The implementation of the study used the R&D (research and development) development model with the ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implementation, evaluation) development model at Elementary School 2 Lubukngin, Selangit District, Musi Rawas Regency. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, documentation, and tests. The analysis was carried out in the following stages; development needs analysis stage; design preparation stage including formulating reading ability test objectives, compiling grids based on cognitive aspects of literacy that have been determined by the Ministry of Education and Culture, compiling instructions for working on questions and determining the type or form of questions in the assessment instrument based on 25 questions; Next, the development stage is the validation of the test instrument from two validators with Aikens'V and the score obtained from validator I is 0.66 and validator II is 0.716. The score from the two validators is proof that the score is in the fairly valid category; at the implementation stage it is proven that the results of student responses to the AKM-based reading ability test instrument are 79.78% and are included in the practical category; and the final evaluation proves that this test instrument is suitable for widespread use. This study concludes that the AKM-based reading ability test instrument developed is quite valid. The student's score from the product trial using this AKM-based reading ability test instrument overall is in the lower category, namely 44.75. Therefore, it can be stated that the AKM-based reading ability test instrument can measure students' reading ability effectively and can be implemented by teachers practically

    Soyghurt is one of the beverage products from soy milk, which is produced through a fermentation process by lactic acid bacteria (LAB). The bacteria commonly used are Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. This study aimed to analyse the quality of the physical and chemical properties of banana yoghurt with various fermentation times. The method used in this research involves making soy yoghurt products through four stages of fermentation: 6 hours, 12 hours, 18 hours, and 24 hours. The quality analysis performed was physical analysis (viscosity test and pH test), chemical analysis (ash content test, acid content test, and protein test), and organoleptic properties (hedonic test and hedonic quality test). Then, an analysis of the ANOVA test was conducted to determine the average of more than two groups of data by comparing the variances and describing the total data. Based on the results of the study, it can be interpreted that the analysis of the quality of banana soyghurt with various physical and chemical showed results, namely the viscosity between 51.00cp - 55.05cp, pH test 5.27 - 4.18, ash content 0.37% - 0.49%, test for acid content 0.50% - 0.72%, and test for protein 2.18%, and the organoleptic test for hedonic panelists is somewhat like texture, somewhat like the taste, liked the aroma and somewhat liked the color, for hedonic quality slightly thick texture, sour flavour, distinctive pungent soyghurt aroma, and yellowish white color.Soyghurt merupakan salah satu produk minuman dari susu kedelai yang dihasilkan melalui proses fermentasi oleh bakteri asam laktat (BAL). Bakteri yang sering digunakan yaitu bakteri Lactobacillus bulgaricus dan Streptococcus thermophilus. Tujuan penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menganalisis kualitas sifat fisik, kimia dan organoleptik soyghurt pisang tuntung pandang dengan berbagai lama fermentasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan membuat produk soyghurt melalui 4 tahap fermentasi yaitu fermentasi 6 jam, fermentasi  12 jam, fermentasi 18 jam dan fermentasi 24 jam. Analisis mutu yang dilakukan adalah analisis fisik (uji viskositas dan uji pH), analisis kimia (uji kadar abu, uji kadar asam dan uji protein) dan uji organoleptik ( uji hedonik dan mutu hedonik). Kemudian dilakukan analisis Uji ANOVA untuk membedakan rerata lebih dari dua kelompok data dengan cara membandingkan variansinya dan menguraikan keragaman total data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa analisis kualitas soyghurt pisang tuntung pandang dengan berbagai lama fermentasi secara fisik, kimia dan organoleptik menunjukkan hasil yaitu uji viskositas antara 51,00cp – 55,05cp, uji pH 5,27 – 4,18, uji kadar abu 0,37% - 0,49%, uji kadar asam 0,50% - 0,72%, uji protein 2,18% dan uji organoleptik untuk hedonik panelis secara tekstur agak suka, rasa suka, aroma agak suka dan warna agak suka, untuk mutu hedonik tekstur agak kental, rasa asam, aroma khas soyghurt menyengat dan warna putih kekuningan

    Correlation and Regression Between Body Measurements and Body Weight of Ongole Crossbred Cattle in Various Age Groups

    This study aimed to estimate the value of genetic correlation and the regression equation between body weight and body measurements of male Ongole crossbred (PO) cattle across various age groups. The sample used consisted of 80 male PO cattle divided into four age groups: I0 (<18 months), I1 (18 to 24 months), I2 (24 to 30 months), and I3 (>30 months).  The parameters observed include body weight (BW), body length (BL), body height (BH), hip height (HH), and chest circumference (CC). Correlation and regression data were analysed using the Excel program; the regression between body weight and body size was analysed using the best subset regression method. The results showed a strong to robust genetic correlation between body weight and body size, with the highest correlation value in chest circumference (CC) in all age groups (0.92-0.98). The regression equations revealed that chest circumference had the highest regression coefficients (ranging from 2.36 to 3.87), indicating that it is the most reliable body size measurement for predicting body weight in PO cattle. This study concludes that chest circumference can be used as a reliable parameter to estimate the weight of PO cattle in various age groups, especially for farmers who do not have access to scales

    Diversity of Land Arthropods in Community Oil Palm Plantations in the Coastal Area of Bengkulu

    Bengkulu is one of the provinces located on the island of Sumatra, boasting a significant agricultural sector. One of the leading agrarian commodities in Bengkulu Province is oil palm. Oil palm in Bengkulu is planted in coastal areas. One of the key factors supporting oil palm fruit production is a healthy soil arthropod ecosystem. Soil arthropods play an essential role in the oil palm plantation ecosystem. As organisms that live in the soil, these animals help maintain soil and plant health, improving soil structure and nutrient availability for oil palm plants. This study aims to obtain initial data on the diversity of soil arthropods and their roles in smallholder oil palm plantations on the coast of Bengkulu. This study began with sampling oil palm plantations around the coast of Bengkulu. The areas that will be used as study locations include Sungai Suci, Danau Gedang, and Pekik Nyaring. Arthropod sampling was carried out by installing pitfall traps in both areas, which were determined diagonally in a ​​200 m² area, with 20 pitfall trap units per location. Arthropod species were identified based on morphology, and the type and number of populations were recorded. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index, dominance index, and evenness index measure analysis of biodiversity data. The results of the study showed that in the majority, the diversity of soil arthropods in the three sampling areas was moderate, the dominance of arthropod types was low to moderate, and evenness was moderate to high

    Meningkatan Keamanan Jalan dengan Pemasangan Lampu PJUTS dan Convex Mirror di jalan Desa Cirumpak

    Masalah infrastruktur jalan tidak hanya menyebabkan resiko kecelakaan tetapi juga memiliki potensi penyebab tingginya angka tindakan kriminal khususnya di malam hari. Minimnya penerangan jalan dan fasilitas pendukung keselamatan jalan menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab tingginya angka kecelakaan di daerah pedesaan. Penerangan jalan umum dan pemasangan rambu-rambu lalu lintas bukan hanya tentang anggaran pada saat pemasangan, tetapi mencakup anggaran pembiayaan dan pemeliharaan. Salah satu alternatif solusinya adalah dengan pemasangan lampu energi tenaga surya (PJUTS) dan pemasangan cermin cembung (Convex Mirror) di lokasi persimpangan jalan yang rawan kecelakaan. Dalam rangka menjalankan tridharma perguruan tinggi, Universitas Bina Bangsa melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat salah satunya dalam bentuk program Kuliah Kerja Mahasiswa (KKM). Dengan tahapan metode pengabdian yang dimulai dari survei, pelaksanaan dan sosialisasi, program pengabdian masyarakat ini telah melaksanakan kegiatan berupa pemasangan fasilitas lampu PJUTS untuk meningkatkan penerangan jalan, serta convex mirror untuk meningkatkan visibilitas pengendara di persimpangan jalan. Kegiatan ini merupakan hasil kolaborasi antara dosen, mahasiswa, masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah dalam upaya memberikan solusi dan kontribusi nyata tentang keamanan dan keselamatan pengguna jalan bagi warga masyarakat di Desa Cirumpak. Meskipun realisasi pemasangan fasilitas umum tersebut belum sepenuhnya memenuhi jumlah kebutuhan, namun diharapkan masyarakat dapat menjaga dan memelihara fasilitas umum tersebut secara berkelanjuta

    Mengembangkan keterampilan ilmu komputer pada siswa sekolah menengah merupakan salah satu inisiatif strategis kami untuk mempersiapkan generasi muda menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja. Namun masih banyak mahasiswa yang  kesulitan dalam menulis proposal bisnis karena belum memahami elemen dasar seperti analisis pasar, perencanaan keuangan, dan strategi pemasaran. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menulis proposal bisnis melalui pendekatan pendidikan kreatif berbasis proyek. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan dan seluruh kegiatan dilaksanakan  pada tanggal 21 November 2024 di SMK Media Informatika, salah satu SMK di kota Jakarta, untuk siswa kelas XII. Sebanyak 36 orang berpartisipasi sebagai relawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap unsur-unsur Google Sites meningkat. Kesimpulan dari layanan ini adalah metode pengajaran kreatif berbasis proyek telah terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dengan cara yang praktis dan dapat ditransfer. Kegiatan serupa di masa depan mencakup peningkatan jam konsultasi individu dan peningkatan fasilitas pendukung pelatihan. Kami juga merekomendasikan agar program ini dapat direplikasi di sekolah lain  untuk meningkatkan efektivitasnya

    Hubungan Tipe Kepribadian dan Konflik Interpersonal dengan Motivasi Kerja Perawat di RS X

    Salah satu hal yang berperan untuk meningkatkan mutu pelayanan di rumah sakit, yaitu adanya motivasi kerja perawat. Perawat dituntut untuk memahami pasien, keluarga, dan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan mutu dan standar pelayanan keperawatan, yang dipengaruhi oleh tipe kepribadian. Konflik dalam keperawatan merupakan masalah kesehatan yang sangat krusial. Paparan konflik yang berkelanjutan dalam organisasi menyebabkan menurunya produktivitas dan terciptanya kerusakan lingkungan organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tipe kepribadian dan konflik interpersonal dengan motivasi kerja perawat di RS X. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pendekatan cross sectional dan teknik purposive sampling dengan 138 responden. Analisis dilakukan dengan uji Chi-Square, dengan hasil tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara tipe kepribaidan dengan motivasi kerja perawat (ρ-value = 1,735), dan tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara konflik interpersonal dengan motivasi kerja perawat (ρvalue = 7,526). Manajemen rumah sakit juga diharapkan dapat mempertahankan dan meningkatkan motivasi kerja perawat agar pemberian asuhan keperawatan dapat lebih optimal
