Analisis Fungsi Ruang Terbuka Sebagai Sarana Penunjang Aktivitas Akademik dan Sosial Bagi Mahasiswa di Lingkungan Kampus Politeknik Negeri Bandung
Open spaces within a campus serve as vital public areas that support the development of students’ academic knowledge, creativity, and soft skills through environmental interaction. The availability, design, and quality of campus open spaces play a crucial role in shaping a liveable and engaging academic environment. At Bandung State Polytechnic (Polban), open space utilization remains passive due to the limited facilities in various areas, resulting in low student engagement. This study aims to examine the existing conditions and analyze the potential of open spaces within the Polban campus based on academic open space (AOS) typologies, focusing on their function in supporting academic and social activities. A qualitative approach was employed, with primary data collected through field observations, document analysis, and interviews. The findings reveal that several areas meet the criteria to function as passive spaces and small gathering areas, supporting academic-related activities. Additionally, from a social perspective, the campus possesses potential areas for outdoor dining, large gathering spaces, and symbolic spaces. The study emphasizes the importance of aligning open space design with student activity needs and enhancing the available facilities to optimize usage. The results can serve as a reference for future campus open space planning and development that is more responsive to student needs and campus life dynamics.Ruang terbuka sebagai area publik kampus menjadi wadah dalam mengembangkan keilmuan, kreatifitas ataupun soft skill bagi mahasiswa untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungannya. Indonesian Curcuma Competition in the World Market: Insight from Demand System Analysis
Curcuma is frequently employed as an appetite enhancer and for medicinal purposes. In addition to being consumed domestically, Indonesian curcuma is also exported to the global market. This research identifies the manner in which Indonesian curcuma competes in the worldwide market, taking into account the fact that it also competes with curcuma from various other countries. The market position of Indonesian curcuma is identified using the Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) method. The comparator countries selected for this study are five curcuma exporters, namely India, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and the USA. The analysis utilised time series data from January 2013 to December 2022, and the identification results of this study indicate that Indonesian curcuma is a normal good with elastic and responsive properties to the global demand for curcuma. Furthermore, it is observed that Indonesian curcuma substitutes or replaces Indian curcuma. Conversely, Dutch, German, Spanish, and USA curcuma exhibit a complementary relationship with Indonesian curcuma. To enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian curcuma in the global market, it is imperative to augment the volume and quality of exports, with a particular focus on standardisation and enhancing the added value through processing. This strategic approach is expected to not only ensure price competitiveness with other exporters but also to expand the share of Indonesian curcuma exports in the global market
Consumer Preferences and Willingness to Pay for Porang-Based Analog Rice
Rice is a staple food for many people worldwide, especially in Asia, including Indonesians, with conventional white rice being the most commonly consumed type. However, conventional white rice has nutritional limitations and a high glycemic index, which can negatively impact health. This study explores consumer preferences and Willingness to Pay (WTP) for porang-based analogue rice as a healthier alternative. Using the Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE) method, data were collected from 150 respondents in Bogor, Indonesia, through voluntary response sampling. The results show that attributes such as porang rice type, softness, clear white colour, packaging, well-known brand, ease of preparation, longer shelf life, and health claims significantly influence consumer preferences. Consumers are willing to pay a higher price: IDR 46,040/kg for porang rice, IDR 58,600/kg for soft rice, IDR 43,338/kg for rice with a clear white colour, IDR 61,860/kg for packaged rice, IDR 61,389/kg for rice with a well-known brand, IDR 40,028/kg for rice that is easy to prepare, IDR 41,200/kg for rice with a longer shelf life, and IDR 90,401/kg for rice with health claims. These findings highlight the growing demand for healthier food options and provide valuable insights for producers and marketers to develop effective strategies. Emphasizing product quality and health benefits is crucial to increasing market acceptance of porang-based analogue rice

The ISM method is a modeling technique that can summarize expert opinions to provide specific opinions on the hierarchy of sub-elements according to each element contained in the system. The results obtained from this study indicate that the main obstacle is the lack of optimal socialization regarding sustainable food crop land protection policies to the community, and the need for increased farmer training to implement sustainable agricultural practices to protect food crop areas and land sustainably
Analysis of Factors Affecting Rice Production and Its Associated Risks
Effective risk management is essential for rice farmers to achieve sustainable agriculture. Rice production is inherently influenced by uncertainties that can lead to yield declines or, in severe cases, complete crop failure. These uncertainties arise from various factors, including climate change, nutrient leaching, soil erosion, landslides, floods, pests, and droughts. Such risks not only threaten production but also have short-term impacts on food security at regional and national levels, potentially resulting in rice scarcity and rising prices. This study aims to analyze rice production and its associated risks in Purbalingga Regency, Central Java. Using multiple linear regression and multiplicative heteroscedasticity regression methods, the study incorporates novel elements such as agricultural inputs (land size, seeds, urea fertilizer, pesticides, and machinery), socio-demographic factors (planting season, education, farming experience), and government policies (ownership of farmer cards and extension service intensity). The findings indicate that land area, urea fertilizer, pesticides, agricultural tools, Farmer Card ownership, extension services, and planting seasons significantly affect rice production and its risks. These results underscore the importance of enhancing farmers' capabilities through improved agricultural inputs, education, and a deeper understanding of evolving planting processes, ultimately enabling more effective risk management strategies

Performa Pertumbuhan Tiga Varietas Ayam Kedu Umur 0–10 Minggu
This study aimed to evaluate the growth performance of Red-Combed Kedu (RCK), Black-Combed Kedu (BCK), and White Kedu (WK) chickens based on sex during the early growth phase (0 to 10 weeks of age). A total of 136 Kedu chickens were raised under uniform management conditions, consisting of 99 RCK (65 roosters and 34 hens), 29 BCK (5 roosters and 24 hens), and 8 WK (6 roosters and two hens). Body weight was recorded weekly and analysed using a two-way General Linear Model (GLM) in SAS to assess the effects of chicken variety, sex, and their interaction. The Shapiro–Wilk test confirmed that the data were normally distributed (p > 0.05). The results showed that sex had a significant effect on body weight from weeks 3 to 10 (p < 0.05), with roosters consistently exhibiting higher weights than hens. Significant differences among chicken varieties were observed only in the hen group at weeks 9 and 10, where BCK hens had higher body weights (p < 0.05) than WK hens, while RCK hens showed intermediate values. In contrast, no significant differences were found among rooster groups at any age. These findings suggest that genetic factors play an essential role in influencing growth performance in Kedu chickens, particularly in hens. This information provides a valuable foundation for breeding selection and the conservation of local chicken genetic resources.
The Influence of Asset Management, Solvency, and Liquidity on Financial Performance in Food and Beverage Sub-Sector Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021-2023
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of asset management, solvency, and liquidity on financial performance in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2021 to 2023. The main problem in this study stems from the phenomenon of fluctuations in Return on Assets (ROA) which shows the inconsistency of the financial performance of companies in the sub-sector, so it is necessary to further explore the financial factors that influence it. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with an associative research type. The population in the study was 26 companies, with a purposive sampling technique obtained 20 companies as samples, which were multiplied by 3 years of observation period, resulting in 60 observation data. The data used is secondary data in the form of annual financial reports obtained through the official IDX website (www.idx.co.id). Data analysis techniques were carried out through classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, partial tests (t-tests), simultaneous tests (F-tests), and determination coefficient tests using SPSS software version 25. The results of the study showed that partially, asset management, solvency, and liquidity each had a positive and significant effect on financial performance. Simultaneously, the three independent variables also had a positive and significant effect on the company's financial performance. These findings indicate that efficient asset management, a healthy capital structure, and the company's ability to meet short-term obligations are important factors in improving financial performance. Therefore, companies are advised to pay attention to these three aspects in managerial decision making to achieve long-term financial goals
