A Study on the utilization of buildings in Yanagase : Focusing on Kamuro-cho
Get PDFThis paper aims to clarify the utilization of buildings in the city center of Gifu city. We focus on Kamuro-cho in Yanagase as a target area. We interviewed workers and customers there to investigate the number of floors of the building and the usage of each floor. There were 60 buildings and 187 parcels in the area. In analysis, the utilizations of parcels were classified into "retail", "service", "residence", "food and beverage", "warehouse", "vacant", and "unknown". Further, "retail" is classified into 6 more in detail, and "service" is into 5. Although the area is a shopping district, the number of parcels used as "residence" is most, with 65. And, the total number of "retail", "service", and "food and beverage", is 56. Then, 42 parcels are "vacant". In addition, the number of vacancies is larger on the second floor than on the third floor.departmental bulletin pape

No full textThe Project Based Learning workshop “International Engineering Design Challenge 2019” was conducted. IEDC 2019 is an international engineering workshop to research educational method of cross-cutting PBL. 33 students from six universities in the 3 countries participated and they were divided into five groups. Through ice breaks and lectures, they designed and proposed systems and products according to themes using several sensors and Raspberry Pi. Participants evaluated 9 items about their group work skills before and after the workshop. As a result, participants appreciated their creativity after the workshop.departmental bulletin pape
